Hey guys. I am so sorry about the year and a half delay. College, my job, my movies, all took a front seat to this story. And in the years that followed, a lot of stuff has happened on Adventure Time, a lot of it I will not get into but you pretty much know what it is. Well, now that I'll be getting a new job, focusing more on writing and graduating soon, I'll be getting this story out more and more so expect more of this in the weeks that followed. I do have the basis for where it's going to go, I just don't exactly know the stuff in between because there will be filler chapters but I want each and every one to mean something to the characters, story and everything else. Think of it as one giant show with seasons, it'll be an epic with the look, feel, and such of one. Not like the show but hopefully having the same feel as it. Still, I hope people like it. Again, I apologize and I just hope that the people who've been kind enough to follow me and this story still care enough about what's going to happen to both Finn and Roselinen as their lives continue. Even I'm excited on what they're going to be doing as it progresses. So yeah, expect more chapters to come around and if they stop, it's not because I forgot, but because I'm still developing the story and figuring out what's the next step and where to go from there.

So for now, I hope you enjoy this next chapter of the story.

Walk

The yellow button sun shown across the room where Finn slept making its bright colors more saturated than usual. Finn felt said light and groaned, pulling the covers toward his face and mumbling something intelligible...then his eyes open. His entire body sprang to life and his eyes immediately scan the room he's in. Still, the same as the night before.

"Jake? BMO?" His calls unanswered.

He groans as he lies back down on the bed. I was hoping this was a dream. What am I gonna do now?

"Oh, wait!" He jumps out of bed and opens up the backpack, immediately pulling the phone out, a black rotary phone attached to a small car battery.

I'll call the tree house! His fingers punch the holes of the rotary wheel and haul them towards the metal line as fast as he can, or as fast as the leisurely device will let him. Once finished, he listens in for any hope of the call going through.

Busy signal.

BMO! He has to reach it! His phones speed dial through the device and listens carefully through the speaker.

Busy signal.

He tries again...

Busy signal.

...and again...

Busy signal.

...and again.

Off-hook noise.

His head lays low in shame and he slowly put the receiver back as he sighs.

"Guess I am stuck here for now."

He places phone back in the backpack, puts his clothes back on as well as his backpack, grabs his hat last and shields his head with it as he makes his way out the room, the floor squeaking in unison as he feet makes contact with it.

He enters the kitchen, a very cute, organized locale of eats and stuff, and orange. Very orange. Only thing that stands out but looks very at home is the teal green refrigerator, with a little note written on a small pillow attached to it. Finn approaches it and attempts to make out the scribbles which are supposed to be handwriting.

FINN - OUT FOR DAY - BE BACK AT NIGHT - PLEASE HELP YOURSELF TO WHATEVS - HAVE FUN! GOLDY

Complete with smiley face.

"That's cute." Finn chuckles. The doorbell which is more of a squeak, rings. "Who could that be?"

He opens the door revealing the very same pillow girl he danced with the night before, hair covering half of her face up and with cheeks as red as roses. The color of Finn's cheeks begin to imitate the color.

"Hi, Finn." she says as she uncovers her face.

"Oh, hey! Uh, Roselinen, I-uh-wasn't expecting you." Finn stumbles his words. "I mean-I...wasn't really expecting anyone today. Just didn't know peeps knew I was here."

"I kind of expected you were here." Rosey plays with her hair as she looks down. "That and I was like, two inches away from when Goldy asked if you wanted to stay here."

"Oh, right." Finn laughed nervously. They both stood around awkwardly, both blushing in crimson and not knowing what to say to each other.

"So, uh, do you want to come in? I was just about to try to find some breakfast here."

"Actually, I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk with me. There's a place that serves the best here around here."

"Let me guess, pillows?"

Rosey nods happily.

"Uh, yeah, that sounds good. I could go for a few more of those myself." Finn chuckles as he scratches his head.

"Great, let's go!" Roselinen tugs his hand. Finn retracts.

"Wait, hang on a second. Just have to get something really quick."

He runs back upstairs to the room he's staying and doesn't stop until he has what he's looking for. He runs back downstairs with his trusty demon blood sword towed between his back and pack.

"Okay, I'm back. Just in case, you know?"

Rosey giggles as they both exit the house.

"So, do a lot of dragons roam around here?" asked Finn as they both walked.

"Not always." explains Rosey. "They're usually asleep around this time, but this is the first time in years where we had one awaken early. It was just a good thing you were here to save us. Otherwise, there'd be no more town and the dragons would just claim this place as their own. That's why we keep them separate from us. We don't bother them and they don't bother us. Thanks again, by the way, in case I haven't made that clear enough." she nudges his arm.

"It was no problem really. I was just glad to help you guys. It's what I do...back in my world, actually." Finn looks straight ahead and sees the Pillow Town alive and well. Pillow peeps going to work and kissing their wives, pillow kids running and playing around not really caring about what others are demanding of them.

"Finn? Finn?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, what?" Finn snaps out of it.

"I was just asking what your world was like." Rosey asked.

"Oh. Well, Ooo is big, like mad big." a tone of excitement starts to glow in his voice. "I mean, if this was in Ooo, it would only be a part of it. It would be like, the pillow kingdom or something. See, we got the Candy Kingdom, the Ice Kingdom, all kinds of kingdoms, and all my friends live there and stuff like Jake, BMO, Peebubs, and Flame Princess." Finn's smile immediately goes monotone at the mentioning of her. Roselinen notices.

"Is she your girlfriend?" she asks.

"Yeah...or no... I don't know. It's complicated, I guess." Finn continues looking straight, not wanting his current state to show.

Rosey wanted to ask how she is and how pretty she was but chose not to. Probably for another time maybe. Subject change, subject change.

"Uh, well, we're here."

The dinery is located on a pillow courtyard outside the main restaurant where the kitchen is located. All the main guests sat, conversed with others and ate little colorful and delicious pillows along with the only thing that wasn't cushion-related, glasses of water. Guess pillows need hydration too.

The waiter comes back with their food which is basically a plate of small pillows made to look like donuts with flowery designs and sets it on the table. Finn immediately grabs one.

"So, have you always lived here?" Finn asks as he places the pillow donut in his mouth and commences gnarling on it as if he was Jake.

"Well..." Rosey tries to keep herself from giggling at the sight in front of her. Finn catches this and freezes.

"Oh, sorry." Finn continues to nibble but quietly.

Roselinen continues, "Well, I've lived her all my life, actually. My mother died when I was born and my father took care of me while being able to do his job of taking care of the poor peeps of this town. It was a very rough time." It was her turn to look ahead at all the customers in the courtyard.

Finn stopped eating and gazed his sights on her. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, about your mom, actually."

"It's okay." Rosey looks down. "My dad used to tell me stories about her and she sounded like the nicest person who just wanted to help everyone." Her smile came back at that thought. "He would always tell me how...different she was. I guess he was just referring to how beautiful she must've been but I wouldn't know since I don't have a picture of her to see for myself. I'd like to think she's proud of me."

"Why wouldn't she be?" Finn takes a sip of water.

Rosey sighs, "I don't know. I mean I help out all the time and cheer peeps up the best I can whenever they feel down." She picks up the glass and examines the liquid inside of it, making it dance.

Finn places his hand on her shoulder. "I think she'd be more than proud. I think she'd give you a big ol' hug if she could."

Rosey turns around, "Really?"

"Yeah, I mean, mom's are supposed to love their kids and junk. I never met my real mom or dad, but I can surely say that I had two other great loving parents in my life and they loved and raised me like I was one of their own."

Roselinen turned her attention to Finn, the curves of her lips slowly forming into that of a smile. He continues.

"So yeah, I'm sure your mom, wherever she may be now, is very proud of you. That and there's always your dad and he seems like a good guy, pillow guy, whatevs."

Rosey places hand on the same arm he's using. "Thanks, Finn. And I'm sorry about your real parents too."

"Don't worry about it." stated Finn.

After what feels like the longest few seconds of silence and debate or whether or not they should hug, they retreive their arms back and look down hiding their crimson blushes, giggling nervously.

"So... are you hungry?" Finn passes down the plate.

"Oh, yeah!" Rosey grabs one the pillow donuts and nibbles away.

"Figured that's why we were here in the first place." Finn laughs.

"I know!" Rosey returned said laugh. "I'm sorry."

Finn heard the laugh that came out of the pillow girl and all he could think of was how cute and adorable it sounded. He appreciated that he was able to make her feel better about herself, that maybe she just needed a friend. Yeah, a friend. That shouldn't be too bad, right? "It's cool, no biggie." he replied.

As they continued eating and drinking, they commenced talking about themselves, what was going on around them, all that pillow jazz. They seemed really happy to be in each others company and didn't worry about anything else.

Well, not yet anyway.

A/N: Again, thanks to anyone who's been so patient and anyone who's been leaving me comments on this story. It means a lot to me and definitely gives me the drive I need to keep this story going. :)
