Chapter 5
Conner sat down in one of the chairs that was in the kitchen thinking about Wally who a few days ago had revealed to the rest of the team that she was a girl and why she hid her gender from the world. It seemed that everyone that knew Wally outside of the League and Team knew Wally as a girl.
The clone couldn't fathom anyone wanting to hurt Wally but her father did just that. Conner wanted to find the male West and break every bone in his body for what he had done to girl that was the nicest, caring and sweetest person that you would ever find. Wally would give you the shirt of her back if you needed it.
Something was also bothering the Clone who had become very protective of Wally ever since finding out that the one to show him the moon was a girl and had been hurt in the past. But the feeling he was feeling was different than the protective feeling he normally had.
After much debate and wondering if he was insane, Conner decided to talk to Flash who probably was the only one that could help him figure out what was going on with him. Conner hoped that Flash could help him without killing him as Conner had a feeling about what was going on with him.
An hour later, Conner stood at the door to Wally's aunt and uncle's house. Flash was one of the few heroes whose civilian Identity was know to the Team. Flash's wife always told the team to call her Auntie Iris. Conner felt that he could also talk to Iris about what was going on with him, maybe it was safer to talk to her than talking to Flash.
Conner knocked on the door of the house and waited for a few moments before the door open to reveal Iris with a smile on her face.
"Conner, what a pleasant surprise!" Iris said as she hugged the clone like a mother would do to a child that hadn't been home in a long time.
"Nice to see you again Iris." Conner replied as he couldn't just yet call the red haired woman in front of him that could pass as Wally's mother Aunt yet.
Iris looked at the young clone and could tell that there was something was bothering him. So Iris invited the clone into her house. Iris told Conner to take a seat while she went into the kitchen to get something to drink before talking to Conner.
Iris entered the room with a tray of drinks and snacks which looked to be homemade and they most likely were as Conner knew Iris loved to bake.
"So Conner, what brings you here today?" The woman that could pass for Wally's mother asked with a smile on her face.
"I need to ask you some questions that I hope that you could answer for me." Conner asked as he grabbed a cookie.
"What type of questions?"
Conner took a deep breath before he spoke. "Ever since Wally saved my life, I've been having these strange feelings about her. I know that I'm very protective of her since she gave me the moon, if you know what I mean." Conner replied since he knew the Iris knew that about the time he had first seen the Moon when he had escaped from Cadmus.
"What type of feeling are you experiencing?" Iris asked as she had a feeling just what the young boy in front of her was thinking about.
"My heart been racing fast at the thought of Wally being hurt and when I'm around her. Also sometimes I can't stop thinking about her." Conner said, hoping Iris could help him figure out what was going on with him.
Iris looked at the clone for a moment as she took in the words that Conner had said. Soon a smile came to her face as she realized just what Conner had said.
"Conner, Sweetheart, the feelings that you are experiencing are perfectly normal for someone your physical age. Which by that I mean you are about the same age as Wally and the others physically." Iris told Conner as she saw his confused look. "Sweetie, did the G-nomes ever teach you about anything relating to feelings for another person?"
Conner looked at Iris before nodding his head. During the last few days before he was rescued by The Team, The G-nomes had told him about what it was like to love another person.
"Sweetie, I think that you may have feelings for Wally. It's not uncommon for someone to develop feelings for someone when you live in close quarters with them. Plus, you have always been protective of Wally even before the saving your life incident." Iris told the Clone.
"So you think that I may have a crush on Wally?" Conner asked.
"I think you may have just that. Alhough I suggest that you wait a while before coming to the terms that you may be in love with Wally. Also don't tell Flash about your little crush on his niece." Iris told the clone.
Conner nodded his head at the last part. It was no secret that Flash was insanely protective of Wally and Conner feared for his life if he told the older speedster that he had a crush on the girl the Flash saw as a daughter.
"I think that would be a good idea." Conner replied with a slight shutter at what Flash would do to him if he found about his crush on Wally.
"What would be a good idea?" Barry asked as he came into the room with something to eat. It was obvious that he had just come off of work.
Conner paled at the sight of Barry as he knew that there was a chance that Barry had over heard him and Iris talking about Wally.
Meanwhile in a deserted warehouse, a man was smiling to himself. It had taken 10 years but he was able to finally escape from the walls that had been his prison for the past decade.
"Soon Mehira, you will pay for what you did to me." The man chuckled to himself as he threw a knife at a picture of Kid Flash.
Who's the strange man that is after Wally and what will Barry think when he learns of Conner's feeling for his niece and will Conner survive the older speedster's wrath. Find out in the next chapter
