Chapter 5: The Dark side of the moon
"You heard the conversation between me and your sister, she put me in charge of your safety meaning that till she returns you are to stay as close to me as possible. So do you want to stay at my place or shall I stay at yours. Personally I prefer if you stayed with me as I wouldn't like staying in a residence with ties to an angel, but it's your choice." Rias told Issei
"Wait, what do you mean, you can't stay at my place." Issei
"Well Gabriel did ask me to protect you right, well how could I protect you if I wasn't close by meaning that we will not only be living under the same roof but also staying in the same room." Rias explained
"That's improper for a boy and girl to stay under the same roof together without supervision." Issei replied
"Oh if that's the case how pray tell will I protect without being close by you know that assassins can sneak in and kill you while you're asleep. How could I prevent that if I'm no there? After all Gabriel charged me with your safety so how could I not be near you?" Rias explained
"Doesn't change the fact that it's indecent if it's so important why not just send Kiba to defend me I'm sure he's capable." Issei replied.
"You're stronger than Kiba is. Not to mention I was charged with your safety which means you just involved me in this Excalibur mess. Why didn't you just ignore them and let them do it themselves? After all it's an extremely dangerous situation, involving a Cadre of Grigori. So the least you can do is just be quite and make my job easier" Rias asked
"Wouldn't be the Issei I know if he didn't after all it goes against the code of exploration squads to ignore trouble like this if we can help. In other words I was going to get involved with or without your permission. After all me and Issei are a part of an extremely famous Explorer team. So it wouldn't sit well with us to ignore such a huge incident. Oh and Rias if you're staying over at his place so am I." Chikorita explained.
"That's fine Chikorita and about Issei You're right it wouldn't be the Issei that we all know if he did help them despite how much distaste he showed towards them." Rias answered in slightly defeated tone.
"Besides it's not like Issei's weak worst comes to the worst Issei will fight and beat Kokabiel After all even if he's a leader among the fallen. Issei beat the very embodiment of time before. And I'm sure that Dialga is stronger than Kokabiel after all if I remember you told me that dragons are the strongest race here, and Dialga is one of the strongest legendary dragons back home." Chikorita told Rias.
"I know you keep telling me this but I find it hard to believe that Issei is anywhere near as strong as you claim. You on the other hand I believe stands a chance against Kokabiel as your power is ultimate in the ultimate class even if it's barely." Rias replied as she let out a sigh.
"Well when the time come you'll see anyway lets go it's time to go home; we'll meet up with those two exorcists tomorrow. So we better get some sleep. Come on Issei let's go and don't worry I'll be the one sleeping in your room not Rias ok." Chikorita told them
"I'm not gonna win this Argument am I?" Issei asked; both Rias and Chikorita shook their heads confirming Issei's suspicion. "Fine let's go then." Issei said as the three went to Issei's home.
Time Skip: 7:00 Am. Issei's house
Issei woke up noticing that both Chikorita and Rias was asleep next to him sleeping in the nude. "Great I should have known that this would lead here. If it I was just Chikorita I wouldn't have a problem but with Rias. Oh well nothing can be done about it now." Issei stated his thoughts out loud unintentionally.
"Oh nothing happened if you're worried about that. It's just I can't sleep with my clothes on, and there was no way that Chikorita would allow me to be closer to you than her; so she decided to sleep next to you in the nude as well and well she forced you to strip as well and here we are." Rias explained
"I see… well I don't know what to say about that, anyhow let's get up get dressed and head to the church to see what's going on. Oh and what's going on with Koneko and Asia. They seem to be planning something together, I just hope they don't get themselves into trouble, but knowing Asia it may have something to do with Kiba as she loves helping people and she hates seeing a friend of hers sad." Issei Explained
"Well, all I know is those two are close now so Koneko is probably comforting her. I just hope they don't pull a hair brained scheme, but I think Koneko knows better than to do something so; stupid as get involved with the Excaliburs." Rias told Issei
"I'm getting involved with the Excalibur situation does that mean you're calling me an idiot?" Issei asked in an annoyed tone.
"No, what I meant was that it would be an extremely stupid thing to do if you're a devil. Which you aren't but if you were then what you're doing now would be stupid as holy swords destroy devils with ease." Rias explained
"Ahh, then what does that make you who's also getting involved?" Issei asked.
"I'm simply doing what I promised, anyway an Excalibur is far less dangerous to me than Gabriel is, so if I have to choose between fighting someone with an Excalibur or your sister, I would choose the Excalibur any day. I'm only keeping you safe so I'll only get involved to pull you to safety not actually fight.
"Fine, let's just eat then go meet up with Irina and that blue haired girl." Issei said in annoyance
"What's with Issei this morning? He's seems pissed off. What did you say Rias?" Chikorita asks
"That doesn't matter right now. Let's just eat as we have a long day ahead of us." Rias told Chikorita sheepishly
"Fine, but just a warning your treading on thin ice with Issei right now so be careful." Chikorita warned Rias as the three sat down and eat breakfast.
"Is that so, well then is there any way I can smooth this over I've never seen Issei this frustrated." Rias told Chikorita
"Just give him some space right now, as you just said is taboo to him. In his opinions is that helping someone is never wrong even if it's extremely dangerous after all it was a situation like that Issei and I faced Dialga the temporal being. Despite the fact that it's considered suicide facing that being with the right motivation anything is possible, both Issei and I have experienced this countless times. You believe that we are exceptionally powerful well we weren't always this strong. In fact at the beginning of our journey we were the weakest team out there; but we didn't let that discourage us we kept on working hard training constantly. No matter how dangerous the situation we never turned away someone who needed our help no matter how dangerous or suicidal the mission seemed, we pushed forward and persevered and kept getting up whenever we were knocked down till we got to where we are today.
You should learn from us and perhaps apply that to yourself and your peerage, please note that what seems like suicide isn't always as it seems teamwork helps reduce casualties just never hesitate." Chikorita advised.
"I see, I'll think upon that after all if the results of recklessness is you and Issei than I might start being reckless as well." Rias replied.
"Just because we do extremely dangerous tasks that others are too scared to doesn't make us reckless we just take precautions to deal with it in the most efficient and least dangerous manor. In other words we look at situations from different perspectives and find a solution to a normally unsolvable conundrum; as quite often the answer is there just hidden in a way that you can't find unless you take a step back an observe the situation well
In other words situations like that resemble chess, if you move in haste you're bound to lose, but on the other hand if you take your time and focus even the seemingly impossible situations can be overcome if you dive into danger.
Do you understand my point?" Chikorita asked
"I see you never turned down a mission because it was too dangerous you just simply reached the goal by playing it strategically, but how does that work against powerful opponents. In the end in situations like that all you can do is fight and power and skill decides the victor." Rias said with a puzzled look on her face.
"Not quite true, but that's the most common belief but can I ask you a question in chess can a pawn take a queen?" Chikorita asked
"Of course it can, not easily but it's done quite a lot." Rias said
"Right, now then same applies to the real world if the pawn plays smart prepares well, using traps his opponent's weakness etc. then the same outcome would be achieved. In a battle it's not only power, skill, experience or intelligence that wins a fight.
What truly wins battles is a skilled combination and preparation. So in other words you need to wear down strong opponents, by using your cards correctly, as stamina is probably the deciding factor in a battle between giants. So wasted moves are the things that need being disposed of.
Anyhow let's drop this for now, as we need to eat and go meet up with the Excalibur wielders." Chikorita explained
"Right let's do that." Rias answered.
"Issei I finished making breakfast, come-on let's eat." Rias told Issei
"Fine, I'm on my way." Issei replied as he entered the room and sat at the table.
Time skip thirty minutes later.
"That was quite good Rias thanks for the meal but don't go assuming that I've forgiven you after what you said. Now let's head out"
They all headed out the door heading for the park to meet up with Xenovia and Irina. When they arrived they found them sitting on a bench waiting for them. Upon spotting Issei and the group they called out. "Over here, wait why are those two with you we demanded that the devils stay out of this as this is church business.
"Change of plans, one of your higher ups asked for my help, or rather demanded it. Here is a note from Gabriel asking for my help, open it and you'll see it's not faked. Though the reason for her asking for my help isn't what you think it is. You see she has been watching over Issei for years now knowing about him being the Sekiryutei. The reason why she never reported him is that she wished him to have a normal life or at least as normal as possible. This isn't possible if the church knew of the fact that he possesses the boosted gear. As she believes he's already suffered more than enough so she wishes him to have as much peace as possible. I'm also of the same mind there. That's why I'm willing to help him." Rias explained
"That's hard to believe an angel would never hide such important information, but the form is in order so regardless of her reasons I'll accept your help. As that's the will of a seraph. No then let's start patrol, we need to find the thieves as soon as possible." Xenovia replied as she and the group began their search.
Time skip: two hours
As the group was searching they happened to pass by a family restaurant and that moment, the exorcist's stomachs let themselves be heard. It seems that they remembered that they haven't eaten anything; they took out their rations which was bread that was harder than steel.
"Don't you have anything to eat besides that?" Chikorita asked.
"It's our only rations, we should be really thankful since we can eat- Ah who am I kidding? This stinks! We're risking our lives for a job here and we get these craps to eat? I want steak!" Xenovia yelled in frustration.
"Do-don't say that Xenovia-san, we already used all of our money for the painting that I bought." Irina Told her
"That painting? It doesn't even looks like a saint! It's just a doodle of a man with wings! He is obviously an avian!" Xenovia shouted in outrage.
"That was St. Peter! Don't say bad things about him!" Irina cried out.
"That wasn't obviously St. Peter! We just wasted our money for that crap!" Xenovia said as she was chewing out Irina. They started to argue and fight, Chikorita tried to stop them but she wasn't helping. Geez, they call their selves exorcist from the church yet they're like this? Well I guess Gabriel-san won't mind if I used some of the money she gave to me.
"Then I'll treat you guys, I'm sure that eating that bread will provide no nutrition or energy for you to fight fallen angels right?" Issei told the two Exorcists.
With my words, the girls stopped fighting and immediately said "Yes!" in unison. So all they need is someone to treat them huh? What a strange group of exorcists, well I guess that these guys can't possibly eat that much.
I was dead wrong… Those two seems like they haven't eaten in days! They just continued to order and devour and repeat the same process again! The money that I bought wasn't enough but I was very lucky that there was a bank just in front of the restaurant that's why I was able to pay for the bill. But since I couldn't be bothered, I also chow down on some food and I also ordered a lot, since I rarely eat outside, it's time for a change. I won't pay the bill if I just watched them eat while I was sick of eating the food that I made. Issei thought to himself.
"Ah~ the food was very good, Amen." Xenovia said
"Yeah, Ise-kun thanks for the meal, may the God bless you~" Irina said with a small giggle. At this Rias and Chikorita grab their heads in pain. "Oops sorry you two, didn't mean it I forgot we head none hostile devils in our presence." Irina replied in an airheaded tone with her tongue slightly out.
After eating, these girls finally became content, they began to chatter things about how great God was and it seems like they forgot the argument about the weird painting that Irina bought.
Irina began to talk again and I know that she won't stop until she reached a confusing conclusion, that's why I rested in chair while stretching my arms. I already got used to their presence, and I think that now I have raised my interest on their business.
"By the way, can you tell me about something about fallen angels? I really want to know about them, considering that I was almost killed by one of them the other day." Issei asked the Exorcists wanting to know the churches idea on the fallen.
"Ah, I heard that the Grigori was being led by the viceroy Azazel, which is said to be in the same level as Michael-sama. I also heard that he has an interest about rare sacred gears and his hobby is to collect them… but, the church has received too much damage from the Hakuryuukou which sided with them."
Hearing the word 'Hakuryuukou' I immediately stood up and made Xenovia repeat the word again. So the Hakuryuukou who is my rival is already beginning to fight eh? And also sided with the fallen angels! Issei thought to himself.
[The white one is already moving, and I can feel that Albion has awakened a long time ago. I can say that the gap between you two are already far.] D'draig told Issei.
This is bad, bad, bad! I just recently awakened and now the Hakuryuukou is already attacking the church! How can I complete the goal to defeat him when I'm weak? I'm sure that if he finds out that D'draig has also awakened, he will search for me and try to kill me! This is very bad! Issei Thought to himself.
"Juggernaut Drive." From the depths of my mind a cold voice muttered, but it quickly disappeared after saying that single word.
"Hey D'draig, did you hear that?" I said in my head so that only D'draig could hear.
[Hear what?] D'draig asked.
Issei thinking that it is only his imagination, he ignored that voice as he watched the duo to begin an argument about heretics and fallen angels. I sighed as I waited for them to finish their argument, ordering another meal of meat on the process.
"I was wondering why you're wanting to help, I mean it's great to have the aid of a Heavenly dragon and all, but what do you get out of this from what I can tell you only want a normal life. You are neither pious as to want to aid the church, nor do you seem to possess a lust for power so what's your drive to aid us. As if it's negative I'll request that you stay out of this." Xenovia said with a harsh tone directed at Issei.
"Xenovia, don't Issei offered to help we shouldn't look the gift horse in the mouth, besides it's as you said without him this mission is paramount to suicide. We need his help." Irina told Xenovia
"No, Xenovia's question is not out of line as you think Irina, as she would have been a fool not to ask it. As for all she knows I could indeed be fooling you and after we have secured the Excaliburs stab you to in the back and take them for myself. However that's not in my nature, I never betray well at least that sort of betrayal. I have only betrayed people twice in my life, one of them was unintentional as I didn't remember the person I was betraying making my betrayal false. The second was me holding back a piece of information that would break the will of my ally. Now then I have my own reason for helping you but it's not the major reason. The major reason is that I hate people bullying those that are weaker than them and those that wish to throw the world into chaos. As the Excalibur theft is threatening. My selfish reason is that I want to payback a little debt to the fallen as one of their own almost killed me so I want to settle the score. Is that sufficient to answer your question?" Issei Explained
[And to think that you were raised by one of the Seraphs…] D'draig said in a mock disappointed voice.
"Be quiet D'draig, this has nothing to do with Gabriel-san. Even if I was raised by her, I'm not a human. That's why I don't need to follow all of her teachings." Issei Muttered inside his head to D'draig.
Noticing the dangerous gleam with my eyes along with the cold smile on my face, Xenovia deducted that Issei was telling the truth. "Yes it was, thank you for your honesty. Now I can rest easy knowing your motives. It's an honor to work with you Issei, no I think I'll call you master Sekiryutei." Xenovia replies.
"That's going to far seeing as I have just awakened to this power. Meaning I'm only at the first few steps. I may deserve that title a few years from now but it's too early to call me that now. The last point I want you to know is that I have no interest on joining your side nor do I wish to join any side. As from my own view none of you are right. This war has you have been fighting has gone on far too long and it's about time it came to an end one way or another." Issei told them
"Is that a threat, if so know that there are beings far more powerful than you on our side. So watch your mouth. Before you get yourself killed. I say this as we are temporary allies, and I would prefer to remain this way as long as possible." Xenovia stated in a warning tone
"Yeah Issei it's not a good idea to pick a fight with the church." Irina told Issei.
"Issei, despite me not liking the church if not outright despising them. Even I would recommend you not outright challenge the church in such a manor it would be your end. As your ally I would prefer you to act slightly smarter as the house of Gremory would fall to shame should it let an ally fall like that so our honor demands that we aid you should you come under an attack of that sort. Unless it was you that outright provoked them as you're doing right now." Rias stated
"When exactly did I challenge either side? I simply said that your war no longer has any meaning. The main antagonist of the war in the past has perished, the civil war that happened in the underworld ended any meaning to the war between the churches side and the devils. Times have changed but you have yet to adapt to them. What I meant is that I have no hatred for any of the three factions, but a minor dislike for the fallen then again I have sources telling me that it wasn't the fallen leaders that commanded the actions which I dislike but it was rouge action.
What I meant by my statement before is that I won't join a faction, but I'm willing to ally myself to all factions in all things but in aggression with each other. As I want to keep the innocent humans safe and conflict by you three sides threatens that. However should the three side throw away hatred for each other and sign a peace treaty then I would join as a member of all three side to strengthen relations. As for my current stance it would be non-hostile neutral I believe if I'm not mistaken. Oh and feel free to report my stance exactly as I just told you to your superiors, and make sure you get back to me with the answer to my point. I would like to know what their opinion is." Issei explained.
"I see, however your actions here state otherwise. Which brings up the question, why you offered to help? I thought that you won't get involved if it's related to another faction. As this course of action would make would make you an enemy of the fallen." Xenovia stated.
"I agree, with these exorcists if your stance is as you claimed then your actions make no sense." Rias added in confusion.
"Normally you two would be correct. However an outside source told me that this isn't an act from Grigori but an independent act from Kokabiel to restart. In fact a messenger from your end has gone to the Grigori headquarters to deal with this matter. So you can rest easy even if the worst comes to the worst no war will happen." Issei told the group.
"I see, then that explains your actions. Thanks for your explanation. I would like to ask for your sources to know how reliable they are but I doubt you trust us enough to reveal them." Xenovia replied satisfied with Issei's answer.
"Well, if I trust you more in the future I may reveal who my source is, but it would shock you to your core. Seeing as my source is someone you look up to. In." Issei replied
"I see then we shall break up for now and meet on Monday night in the park. As today's meeting was to only set the terms for our cooperation." Xenovia said
"Very well, see you after day after tomorrow." Issei replied
"Oh one more thing, Gremory. We may be working with you now under orders from a seraph, but any wrong moves from you and we'll eliminate you." Xenovia warned.
"Same back at you, so watch yourself as your unconsciously leaking killer intent towards me." Rias warned
"Very well, I'll take care see you later." Xenovia said as she stormed out.
"Sorry about my partner she's just overly consumed by the hatred the church has for devils, as for me if a Seraph ordered us to work with you it must mean that you aren't bad like other devils so I'll trust you." Irina said as she bowed and followed her partner.
Time Skip Monday morning: Issei's Class
Issei's POV
After half an hour, Akeno went into my classroom and called me to follow her. Knowing the reason, he immediately nodded and walked out of class, I can feel the envious stares of boys from our class. Don't worry, I'm not planning to have a relationship anytime soon, well a least with Akeno that is. Issei thought to himself as he followed Akeno.
The reason for her calling me was to introduce the new devil that was recruited three weeks ago, and the other devils that were currently occupying Kuou Academy. Though I can feel their presence, I can't tell them apart, as expected I'm still very weak. Just how am I going to fight the Hakuryuukou on this state?
Arriving on the room, I was greeted by the few peoples that were standing. There was also a girl that was seating on the couch along with Gremory-sempai, I couldn't be mistaken. The other girl was Souna Shitori, the student council president of Kuou.
"So this is the boy that was attacked a fallen angel and surprisingly lived? Hey, isn't he one of the two prince of the school!?" The only male other than me spoke. There seems to be jealousy on his voice but never mind that, I also faced a lot of jealous glares earlier.
"Saji, can you stop over reacting? This boy is also a Sacred Gear possessor just like you, treat him nice." Sona Scolded the now named Saji
"No way Miss! This guy is very popular just like Kiba! An enemy to all men! How can I get along with him!?" Saji retorted.
Souna just gave him a Blank stare at that. I remained silent while staring at the other figures in the room, all of them were part of the student council. Just like the occult research club, the student council is also composed of devils from another house.
"The president's, Souna Shitori's, real name is Sona Sitri. She's a high-class devil, the next heir of House Sitri." The girl besides the student council president said, I recognize her as the vice president, Tsubaki Shinra, I heard that she have a massive crush on Kiba-kun. So, the student council president is also a high class devil like Rias huh? This sure is weird, two high class devils sharing the same school. I thought to myself
"The house of Sitri is one of the 72 pillars that survived the Great War, just like the houses of Gremory. This school is controlled by the house of Gremory, but during the day it's the student council... in other words, House Sitri. Times in charge are split between day and night." Perhaps seeing the trouble in my expression, Akeno explained. I didn't know that it worked that way, meh I don't really care anyway.
The secretary dude began to speak, "You guys have peaceful school lives because of the fact that the President and the servants of Sitri are at work during the day. It doesn't hurt to remember that, you know? By the way, my name is Saji Genshirou. 2nd year and President's "Pawn"."
"Hello, I'm Issei and I guess you already know me judging from your reaction earlier. Anyway, I just awakened the other say so please take care of me." I replied trying to be nice to him.
"Actually... you damaged my pride very badly. For you... to have a rare sacred gear like me, I don't want to be recognized in the same class as you! You're a good looking bastard that is enemy of all men!" Saji said trying to demoralize Issei.
"Wh-what did you say!?" I replied in shock of his reaction.
"Oh? You wanna go? Even though I might look like this, I'm a Pawn that consumed 4 Pawn pieces. Even if I just turned, I won't lose to someone like Issei." Saji provoked me but the President glared at him sharply. Man this guy is just too annoying! Why would he hate me for that reason!? Oh wait, I also hate being addressed as a prince in this school.
"Saji, stop that." Sona Demanded
"B-but Miss!" Saji tried Bargaining
"The reason why we came here is to meet the rare sacred gear possessor who survived the attack of a fallen angel. In other words, it's a meeting to introduce you to Issei Hyoudou, and If you're truly my servant, then don't shame me. Besides..." Sona then looked at me. "Saji, you can't win against Issei as you are right now. He's the one that destroyed the exiled devil Vaizor that was classified as a middle class devil with just one punch."
"One punch!? He destroyed the exiled devil with only one punch? I really thought the one who killed that devil was Lady Rias or Akeno!" Saji Yelled in shock
Wait, what? What are they going on about? Also, can you stop staring at me with those weird eyes? I'm not an animal in the zoo on show. I thought to myself.
Just then Chikorita entered the room. "Why didn't you guys invite me to this party Huh?" Chikorita Asked in an annoyed tone.
"Just a meeting to introduce Issei to the other devil group that rule this school." Rias answered.
"Fine, but why wasn't I invited?" Chikorita asked letting out a leaf green aura.
"It's not that you're weren't invited it's just I didn't want to wake you up. Especially after that happened last time I woke you up for school." Rias told Chikorita.
"Oh, had you just mentioned it had something to do with Issei I would have got up with no problem. Since I'm here you may as well introduce me as well" Chikorita told her, as her aura disappeared and her angry face replaced with a bright smile.
"That girl is right, so tell me just who that girl is and how is she so strong?" Sona asked
"Her name is…" Rias was about to speak as she was interrupted by Chikorita
"My name is Chikorita, I'm Issei's lover and I'm Rias's second Rook, but the only Reason she managed to get me to join her was if she agreed to a couple of stipulations I placed. As a single Rook would normally never be anywhere near powerful enough for me, it only worked as I used a technique on it to mutate the piece." Chikorita explained
"Did you have to interrupt me, it makes me look incompetent." Rias Told Chikorita in a whiny voice.
"Did you forget that one of the conditions that I join your peerage is that you never act as my superior? As you know very well that in both leadership and combat that I'm years you're senior regardless of age difference. So had you just let me introduce myself you wouldn't have been embarrassed." Chikorita Replied with a shrug
"Thank you for your introduction, but you didn't explain how you got so powerful?" Sona told Chikorita with a stern voice
"Well hard work and a clear goal for motivation, I guess. Nothing special really. Oh and I suppose fighting a load of legendary beings. Oh and how are you? I don't believe we've met before." Chikorita said answering Sona's question.
"My alias here is Souna Shitori, but my real name is Sona Sitri, heir to the house of Sitri which is one of the 72 Pillars like the Gremory clan. It's a pleasure to meet you." Sona replied with a slight bow.
"Why did you give a bow of respect to her, she's just a low-class devil like all servant devils here?" Saji replied
"Normally you would be correct, however her power level is ultimate class, and it's obvious that she's not some ordinary servant, I heard of deals like the one Rias made with her. Where a greater being agrees to become a psudo-member of the devils peerage in exchange for and easier life. These deals are rare as it would take both sides swallowing their pride. As the greater being would never bow before a lower beings, so a deal must be made between the greater being and the devil, the basics normally are that the devil can never give direct orders to the being outside of life and death matters, and that's only if the greater being doesn't have experience. If it does the deal is normally that in exchange for helping the devil, which normally means taking care of business that the devil isn't powerful enough to deal with alone, the devil makes the beings life luxurious as possible." Sona explains
"Wait isn't that normally the sort of deal that's offered to dragons? As they're the only ones powerful enough to make a devil resort to such extremes." Saji questioned.
Normally yes, but there are always exceptions to every rule, and it seems we have one such exception here." Sona answered.
Just then when we were in the middle listening to Saji's discussion with Sona, I felt a disgusting presence calling us. It also seems that Akeno also sensed that presence as she alerted the whole class to the teleport that came from some unfamiliar place.
FLASH
That moment, we were teleported to some woods in a place that's most likely not Japan, since the surroundings were different and it was night time here. There, we saw a man sitting on a floating throne with 10 black wings, Yellow slit eyes, long black hair and pale as a ghost face, he was a fallen angel! Kokabiel said it with a laugh. From his story, those two must be Kiba and Xenovia! Yes it's definitely them!
"Irina!" I immediately lay them on the ground and Sona used some water magic to ease her wounds. Soon, her expressions softens as the wounds on her body closed and healed. This bastard Kokabiel! How dare he do this!?
"You bastard! I'll definitely make you pay for this!" I yelled but Kokabiel just stared at me before laughing hardly. What is this guy laughing about? I'm truly angered now and I won't hesitate to beat the crap out of him!
"I see, so you're the kid that Gabriel raised. I know that she visits you very often, I like the eyes that you are showing, and maybe if I anger you I would get a good fight? But what should I do? It seems that you are very attached to Gabriel, how about I use you as her weakness? Then I'll rape her and demand that if she fights I'll kill you. The Boosted Gear that appeared by itself emitted a bright light! It wrapped itself in my entire body and turned into a red armor! The whole armor had a sharp shape. The gauntlet I always have on my left arm also was equipped to my right arm. The jewel that was present appeared in both my arms, shoulders, knees and the middle of the torso. On the back there was something like a rocket booster propulsion.
"S-Sona! What's-s-s happening to Issei? The power that I can feel is definitely crazy… I can't stop shivering just from staring at that…" Saji stated Stuttering from the wave of raw power flowing over him.
"So this is… the true awakening of a heavenly dragon…" the devil group said but Saji and Chikorita as they witnessed Issei's Transformation.
"Kokabiel!" I shouted as I clenched both of my fists, my surroundings were already blown away and I'm floating over a huge crater. From my back, a pair of dragon wings has appeared.
"Kahahaha! So you're the Sekiryuutei!? What fun! To think that Gabriel is keeping a legendary dragon, now I know why she raised you." Kokabiel states. Being excited in the sudden change from me, Kokabiel raised his hand and created a light in the form of spear. That's right, it's the same just like that girl Yuuma's, but compared to her, the spear of Kokabiel was 100 time larger and powerful. He also created more of them until they sky was filled by disgusting lights.
"Oryaaa!" I yell punching my right hand towards the giant spear, I deflected it while flying towards Kokabiel and raising my other hand. Kokabiel directly took my punch and blocked it with both of his hands, I again assaulted him with punches but he was deflecting all of them by using lights.
I need more power! Ddraig! I thought to the dragon residing in my right arm.
[Partner, for this first balance breaker you have limited time. 30 minutes is the most, by doubling your power, the time for the balance breaker will decrease by 5 minutes. You can only do 5 power ups at maximum. But the question is, can you defeat Kokabiel within a short time limit?] D'draig asked Checking Issei's resolve.

With my boosted power I released the power that was enough to blow away the spears in the sky, but Kokabiel created another batch of them. Thinking that it's useless to waste my time in those spears I again assaulted him and I landed a punch but he blocked by creating a dense spear into his hands.
Still not enough! I thought to myself.
[Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!] Boosted gear stated.
I again doubled my power as I shot a power punch towards Kokabiel, he created a defensive magic with another dense shield on light. He used the lights on the sky and aimed all of them on me, though I managed to dodge the big ones, I had problems evading the small ones that were numbering in thousands.
The spears hit the armor, though it didn't broke, I still felt the impact, my weak body felt the pain and as expected, it was too much.
"This isn't enough to take me down!" I shouted in defiance.
[Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!] Boosted gear announced yet again.
[11 minutes left… looks like you're truly not ready for an opponent on his level. Despite a dragon's pride on must know when their beaten, run for now get stronger then return a beat him.] D'draig told Issei in a sad tone
"Is that all Sekiryuutei!? I'll definitely have a good time with Gabriel tonight! Kahaha!" Kokabiel taunted Issei once more
Issei saw red at this all reason leaving him. "I will kill you!" Issei yelled as he charged at Kokabiel.
[Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!] Boosted Gear announced.
Kokabiel formed a Light sword at the Ready a struck Issei Shattering his armor causing him to fall. Chikorita ran and caught him. "I didn't expect him to be this powerful but it seems that was the first time he reached Balance Breaker, so I'll give you three days to prepare, The Showdown will be at Kuou. I thought that stealing the Excaliburs would be enough to start the war. But all Michael does is send two brats to retrieve them. So I believe killing the two Maous sisters should trigger the war, but the war needs a grand opening. Which the Sekiryuutei will provide. So sisters of Maou let's have a war." Kokabiel replies as he Teleports them back in a flash of light.

Sorry for taking so long, but between work and my coding I don't have much free time.

The story I'll Update next will be the Specter. But I can't give a release date as I don't know when I'll be free to write. But please now that I am not giving up either story.
