Chapter Six
Axel pulled the small cell phone from his pocket. He dialed his house phone. No answer.
Dammit Roxas! Pick up the phone!
He turned back to the window. Riku's step-father had been yelling for ten minutes straight. When he finally threw Riku against the wall, Axel had enough. He tried to get a hold of Roxas multiple times before putting the phone away.
Something was wrong. Roxas always picked up.
Sorry Riku...Roxas comes first.
He stood and ran down the road to the apartment. It only took five minutes to reach his room. No light came from the window. His heart raced as his hand touched the doorknob.
Papers covered the entire floor. Axel looked around until he found what he was looking for.
"Roxas!" he yelled, sliding towards his lover.
"Sorry I couldn't pick up, Axel. I was a bit...preoccupied. How's Riku?"
Bruises covered the entire boy's body. Axel immediately felt angry, but managed to stay calm.
"Let's get you cleaned up, Roxas."

Sora was sent home two days later. Leon had already withdrew him from school and took a day off to help get his son settled. Leon made Sora sleep on the couch where he could have easy access to the kitchen and front door. When Leon had to return to work, Sora felt relieved. He loved his dad, but he needed personal time.
Sora turned on the TV and was about to fall asleep when a knock came from the door.
Ugh...I really do not feel like moving...
A more persistent knock came before Sora tried to get up. He struggled all ten steps it took to get to the front door.
"Riku?"
Riku gave Sora a slight smile. Sora could see something was troubling him and so invited him in. Sora hobbled towards the reclining part of the couch.
"If you want any refreshments, they're in the kitchen. I'm sorry, but I do not have the energy to walk too far."
"No, I'm good. Thanks though."
Sora turned off the television and fluffed his pillow he put behind his head. When Riku remained silent, Sora looked at him.
"So, what's up?"
He couldn't hide it. Sora was nervous. He couldn't endure another beating, but he could tell something was wrong.
Riku shrugged and rubbed the back of his neck.
"I...uh..."
Sora raised an eyebrow. "Well?"
Riku let out a sigh.
"I came to apologize again. I know you live with only your dad and if you need anything, I can get it for you. I owe you a lot."
Sora smiled as best as he could.
"Thanks, Riku. Actually, there is one thing."
Riku turned curious and eager to hear what he had to say.
"I would like it if you could tell me about what's been going on in your life."
Sora's really not one to sugarcoat anything is he?
"Sora, you don't want to hear it."
"Riku, I DO want to hear it. It's your choice if you want to tell me or not. I know a little about what's going on in your life. I understand."
"No you don't! No one ever understands."
Sora sighed. The pain medication was disappearing. If he wasn't careful, he knew he'd become addicted so he decided to not take a pill.
"I'm sorry, Riku. It wasn't right for me to ask about something so personal without at least giving information about myself. You see...I do understand. The man that lives here and gives me a place to call home is not my real dad. I still do not know who my real parents are. I don't know if they're alive or dead. What I do know, is that I've lived in every imaginable household. Most were horrible. The house I was being fostered in before Leon took me was the worst."
Riku took a seat in a nearby chair, wanting to hear the rest. Sora smiled at his curiosity then frowned at the bitter memory.

Sora had been crying for hours. His fifth birthday had just passed. No celebration or presents like the other kids got at his age. Instead, they locked him away in a cramped, dark closet. Even from the closet, Sora could smell the alcohol. The couple always drank and ignored his existence.
"Where's that brat at?" asked the woman.
The man shrugged. He turned towards the closet.
"I forgot...We locked him in there yesterday morning."
The door opened as light blinded the little boy.
"Still crying? You're such a little bitch. Go clean the kitchen up. It's a mess!"
The woman slammed her hand on the boy's head as hard as she could. He rubbed it as he ran towards the kitchen. His left arm hung at an awkward angle from two nights ago. He hadn't been able to move it much without a sharp pain going through it.
As he cleaned, the man kept yelling at him. Panic filled his frail body and soon breathing became difficult. He fell to the floor, hyperventilating.
"If you throw up on my floor, I will beat the shit out of you!" yelled the man.
The woman walked in and kicked him.
"Get off my floor and clean the dishes, Little Shit."
Sora stood though his airway was blocked. More yelling. He looked through the window and saw a man stopped in front of the house tying his shoes.
"Why aren't you cleaning you pathetic piece of shit!? I do not get paid to watch you be lazy as we do all the work!"
The woman was screaming louder. She threw the glass bottle at his feet. It shattered into tiny pieces everywhere, including his legs and feet. A piece of glass stuck out of his leg while blood fell.
"I'm...sorry..." he whispered as he tried to clean the little drops of blood on the floor.
The man began to yell and was headed his way when the door was forced open. Sora looked as he tried to catch his breath. The man that had been tying his shoes stood at the kitchen doorway. He looked at the boy, now crumpled on the floor with glass surrounding him. That was the last Sora remembered. It wasn't until later that the man had heard the yelling and made his way into the house after calling the cops. Before the cops came, he grabbed Sora and ran from the house as fast as he could into the front lawn. An ambulance arrived soon after the police arrested the couple.
The man visited the child everyday.
"It's nice to see you awake, Sora. My name's Leon. Would you like to come live with me?"

"So, your dad was the one to save you that day?" Riku asked.
Sora nodded and said, "I may not know everything you go through, but I do understand what it's like to have no hope. I really think you should leave your house."
"I don't know where to go. My dad is the head of the law enforcement. I can't do anything."
Riku could feel the fear again. He felt as if he would never be able to escape his step-dad.
Sora looked down with a frown.
"Riku, please come here," he whispered as he patted the empty spot on the couch. He could tell Riku was starting to panic.
Riku sat next to Sora. The brunet slowly placed a hand on his shoulder. Riku flinched, but Sora didn't move.
"I'm not going to hurt you Riku."
He wrapped his arms around Riku and gave him a gently hug. His ribs protested, but Sora ignored it. Sora looked at Riku, then placed a soft kiss on his lips. Riku felt a sense of calm fill him as he put his arms around Sora.
Riku gently pushed his tongue into Sora's mouth and deepened the kiss. A blush covered Sora's face as he let Riku take control. He had no idea why he was doing this or why the kiss sent butterflies into his stomach.
Sora stopped the kiss and pushed Riku back a little. He winced at every breath.
"I don't know why I did that...I mean kiss you...I've never done that before," Riku said turning away.
Sora gave a reassuring smile.
"I started the kiss...Besides, it's not you. My ribs were starting to hurt. They'll stop in a few minutes."
Riku sat in silence.
Why did I do that? I've never kissed anyone like that before. What if Ansem finds out...Ansem!
Riku looked at the time. He had plenty of time, but needed to go in case he came home.
"I have to go. I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" he asked hopeful. Sora's house made Riku feel refreshed with every breath.
Or maybe it's just Sora.
Sora nodded.
"Please come over any time you want. Dad won't mind."

Riku was back in his bed by the time the front door closed. He couldn't get Sora out of his head.
Ansem walked into Riku's room and saw him huddled under his sheet.
"Sick?" he asked.
"Yes...Dad," he muttered.
Ansem walked over and kissed the boy's cheek.
"I can fix that."
EXPLICIT SCENE. PLEASE SKIP IF YOU NEED TO. This scene contains lemon and drugs.
Riku felt the chains wrapped around his wrists and ankles. His collar was weighed down by another chain as Ansem kept tugging each one. Ansem kissed Riku and forced his tongue in his mouth. Riku struggled and managed to break free.
Ansem sat up with a frown on his face.
"Someone is up tight. It seems like it's been a while. I'll be right back."
Ansem left the room and returned with a vial and needle. Riku started screaming.
Oh, come on Riku. I'll calm you down. It will make tonight feel so good.
"No! Please! I don't want it. Please! I'll do anything!"
Ansem paused then laughed.
"You'll do anything anyway after I give you this. You get to be the guinea pig to this mixture I made. It'll help you loosen up."
He stabbed the needle into teen's arm. The effect was immediate. Riku stopped struggling. It had been days since he had the drug and his headaches were only getting worse...until now. Riku could tell the paopu fruit was the base. The high happened too fast for him, yet he enjoyed it. The effects were almost instant.
"Good boy," Ansem whispered. He put the needle down and began to kiss Riku. Riku stopped struggling as he let the drug take over his body. He closed his eyes as he felt excitement through his body.
"Told you it would be good, didn't I."
"Yes, Master."
Ansem tugged the chain to his collar and unhooked the chains around his wrists and ankles. Riku moved his hand towards Ansem's length. The drug overruled his body.
"You're awfully needy today, Riku."
Ansem lead Riku by his chain towards the basement. Riku followed obediently in a crawl knowing his master would be displeased if he stood on two legs.
Riku started to suck Ansem, but was forced to stop. Ansem walked around the boy and forced his way through Riku's entrance.
Riku let out a sharp moan as he loosened. Ansem refused to hold back. Ansem played with Riku as he went in and out.
No, please...don't... he thought to himself.
What are you going to do now, Riku? Admit it. You've enjoyed tonight. The new drug gave the best high yet and you got a little something extra with it.
Riku finished with Ansem. Satisfaction covered his face. The high was wearing off and pain started to rise. Ansem pulled his pet over and pat his head.
"Good boy," he whispered.
Sora's face remained red for the rest of the night. He couldn't stop smiling, even though it hurt. When Leon came home, he noticed his son was in a remarkable mood.
"You've been in an extremely good mood today. Did something happen today?"
Sora shook his head.
"It was just something I watched on TV the today."
Leon's eyebrow went up in curiosity.
"I was wondering if there was a friend you had that could stay over. I really hate for you to be by yourself in this condition."
Sora pretended to think about who could come over. In truth, he knew the one person he wanted to help him throughout the house.
"Yeah, I have a guy in mind. We had classes together."
Sora finished his dinner. Leon brought his medicine and inhaler over.
"Do I have to?" Sora asked with a miserable tone.
