AC: Here's chapter 5.

Chaotic Changing life

Chapter 5: Scan quest in the Underworld

Underworld city

Kaz and Remi appear at the center of the city and they look around. The Underworlder is doing their usual occupation like they always do. They are some of them looking at the 2 chaotic players suspiciously when they recognise Kaz and give him a nod and continue their usual daily life.

"...Why are the underworlders nodding at you...It seems like you have done something." Says Remi.

"That must be when I beat Hammerdoom Chantcaller in a due." Says Kaz.

"...You are joking?...Right?" Asks Remi.

"It was luck to be honest." Says Kaz.

"OMG...You have to tell me how it happens!" Shouts Remi.

Kaz resumes to him the duel in the Underworld Coliseum and how he beats Hammerdoom Chantcaller. He admits that he used a giant robot has his battlegear.

"Even so...he didn't hit you...You could have been coded." Says Remi.

"I couldn't just run away...I would never be able to return here." Admits Kaz.

"So...Where do our scan quest begin? I've heard some rumors about a new battlegear being built here but I know nothing more than that." Says Remi.

"I have a friend who tells me about it. I think he will guide us if we give him something in exchange." Says Kaz.

"H'earring." Says Remi who meets him a few times.

"Exactly. Him." Says Kaz. "I'm glad that you are starting to win some match." Says Kaz while walking at the house of H'earring. "Even with my tips...You didn't start up well in the match."

"Yeah...I put up a good fight but that was not enough. Since I obtain the scan of him...I've started to win with his ability. I think I'm very good with him." Says Remi.

"I've notice it. You are starting to become a good Chaotic player. Well...We are here." Says Kaz.

They are in front of the house of H'earring and they see him outside. He is the underworlder who can hear very well...This is where his name originally comes from. He has long hears. He has green skin and red hair over his head and his chest. He wears a brown jacket only.

"Hello H'earring." Says Kaz.

"I supposed you are here searching for a scan...Since I can see the bad of Dractyl scales." He says salving.

Kaz gives him the scales.

"I hope you have some good info about the new battlegear." Says Kaz. "Because Dractyl also caught me this time."

"Yup. Khybon is the one who made the new battlegear. He seems a little overprotective of it since he puts much time on it. It seems like it was his main project for a long time and he finally finishes it." Answers H'earring.

"Let me guess...He doesn't want anyone to touch his stuff." Says Remi with a smile.

"Like it's going to stop us." Says H'earring.

"Where is MajorTom?" Asks H'earring.

"He is busy in his match right now and Remi and I were both planning this scan quest." Says Kaz.

"Can you guide us to his forge?" Asks Remi.

"He will since I've give him the scales." Says Kaz.

"Of course...Just don't let me alone with him if you break anything again." Says H'earring.

"I won't. You can be sure of that." Says Remi.

They follow the little green rabbit to Khybon's forge. They reach the forge and they enter in it.

Khybon's forge is deep underground in the underworld. It's largely dominated by lava pools with various islands of rock and stone. Iron garnered platforms form the majority of the working areas interconnected by various iron bridges. Inside, Khybon's machinery is everywhere in the area with various cranes and hoists dominating the platforms. Khybon for the most part oversees the work from a central platform which he is right now.

Khybon looks like a cyborg. He has 3 eyes. 2 at the same place has human which are completely red and one on his forehead, red iris and black pupil. Khybon is a yellow, bird-humanoid that built parts of himself and has a strap around his chest with a mysterious blue crystal of some sort. He wears red shoes and has a robotic claw for his bottom left hand, a blaster on his top right hand, a drill on his right bottom hand, and a normal top left hand. He also has a dark loincloth.

Khybon turns around and he sees the trio and he sighs. He walks at their direction and glare at them.

"What are you doing here? Destroy another of my stuff?" Asks Khybon.

"...It's my first time here." Replies Remi. "I didn't I break anything without being here. I must be really good at it."

Khybon glares at him.

"I don't like your sarcasm human." He warns him.

"I can guess I made a minus 4 on relationship." Adds Remi.

"Shut up human!" Orders Khybon.

Remi just smiles.

"It wasn't me! I told you again and again that it was Krystella and Klay." Says Kaz.

"*Sigh* That is so much their style. Klay tries to get me with an exchange but he didn't get me since I wasn't interest in an exchange...And you have come to warn me." Says Remi. "I may be naïf but I'm not stupid."

"Why are you here?" Asks Khybon. "I am very busy and I don't have time to lose with you!"

"We are here because of the battlegear you have finish building up." Says Remi.

"Forget about it! Go away! I will not share it to you or let you use it!" Shouts Khybon.

"Well that was fast." Says Remi. "Did anyone see it?"

"Of course not! It is not the time for this." Says Khybon.

"Then you have made nothing then." Says Remi.

"What are you saying?" Asks Khybon.

"You haven't made the battlegear. That is why you are not showing it to anyone...It is not too back...Everyone has a block once in their mind. You have an invention block and try to show everything is alright with you." Says Remi.

Kaz looks at Remi and he knows he is playing mind game. Khybon is not someone stupid thought. But when aim at the right angle...He might show them.

"I have construct a battlegear! It is a very powerful one and my main project since I've finish to study under my father!" Shouts Khybon.

"Sorry but we cannot believe something we didn't see or anyone can confirm of seeing." Says Kaz.

"That is true. You have no proof that you have made this battlegear and even Chaor is not aware of it." Says H'earring entering in the mind game to mess up a little with Khybon. It is just like when they made the statue of Chaor and he gives Khybon some...Extra work.

"I will not show it to you to prove that I am a great inventor." Says Khybon turning his back at them.

"Fine then...Maybe Ulmar has done something more interesting." Says Remi.

"He is the best inventor after all." Says Kaz.

Khybon looks at then and competitive eyes appear. It has never been said in the Underworld by word between Khybon and Ulmar...But they have some kind of competition of who's the best inventor between them. They are both trying to build the best battlegear and when Ulmar as build a Gigantroper and takes the average. Since Ulmar is still being punished for the Gigantropers that destroy Underworld City, freshly restored, Khybon has the upper hands.

"You want to see it? Well...I'll show you it is real and that I'm the best of the Underworld...No...Of all Perim!" Shouts Khybon. He then turns around and he goes take the battlegear.

Ego of Khybon rise of 2 000%. "...Did I just think of that?" Asks Remi to himself.

"What?" Asks Kaz.

"Nothing...Just something stupid in my head." Says Remi with a shy smile which he has when he is lying about him, but Kaz doesn't know him enough for that.

"Here it is...My greatest work of all time! The shield of réflexion!" Shouts Khybon.

It is a shield of the side of a normal shield. It is decorate with silver color and the red symbol of the Underworld on it. It has some reflect on it and Remi can see his face on it. It was clearly new.

"It's a fabulous battlegear." Says Remi.

"..." Kaz says nothing but he has some doubt about it. It is less impressive than the one made by Ulmar.

"Can we scan it?" Asks Remi. "That way...We have proof, without taking it that you have made it."

"..." Khybon says nothing for a while. "The battlegear may create some envy among the players."

"It will be a nice way to test it without damaging it." Says H'earring.

"A master work being test without any damage...Alright! You can scan it." Says Khybon.

H'earring having a great idea...Not happening often. Think Kaz.

"Thanks!" Shouts Remi with a smile.

The 2 Chaotic players take out their scanner and scan it.

"So...What's the effect of the battlegear...I theory?" Asks Kaz.

"The battlegear is made so it can reflect any attack of the elemental attack of the fire and water element only. It cannot reflect the wind and the earth for...logical reason." Says Khybon.

Kaz and Remi can see the reason but the capacity to reflect the attack is something that is only a theory of Khybon but worth testing.

"We will give you the news when we'll try it." Says Kaz.

The 3 walk away while Khybon watches them before putting back the gear where he takes it.

"At least nothing has been broken this time. I wonder if it will really work?" Wonders Khybon. "If not...Well...They just lose at their game anyway."

The trio walks in the city.

"Well...I guess the scan quest is a success." Smiles Remi.

"It wasn't that hard this time." Admits Kaz. "I think I'm going to call Tom. He must have finished his match today."

"Since you don't need me anymore. I have to go." Says H'earring walking away.

Remi and Kaz wave him. Then, Kaz takes out his scanner and he calls Tom. After a few rings, Tom answers.

"Hi there Tom." Says Kaz. "How was your match?"

"-Well...It didn't go very well...The player is very good and I've notice he changes his player name.-" Says Tom.

"What's his new name?" Asks Kaz.

"-M'arrilliankiller.-" Says Tom.

There is a clear grudge against the M'arrillians to have a name like this. Remi isn't sure he wants to meet him.

"So you lose." Says Kaz. "As for me...I was with Remi and we obtain a very interesting scan of a battlegear...When we will test it we will see if it is that good."

"-Remi is with you?-" Asks Tom.

"Yup. I'm here." Says Remi. "Hi there again." He adds smiling at Tom.

"-Hello.-" Says Tom. "-Maybe you can show our scan when you return here.-"

"No problem." Says Kaz. "Why don't you come with us? I can present you my 2 other friends."

"Really? Thank you." Says Remi with a smile.
