The Huntress was a truly dignified woman. That's why she had no problem crossing her arms, poking out her lip and huffing like a small child when Aiedo proceeded with all of her poking and probing.
"Stop that," the warrior chided her, slapping her lightly on the leg. She shuffles around her front and waits expectantly.
With a loud sigh, the Huntress does as she is told and resumes her original position: standing stock still with her arms and legs spread. "How much longer is this going to take?" She asked with an exaggerated groan.
"About another half hour, or so," Aiedo replied, causing the Huntress to throw her head back and groan even louder. Aiedo grins wickedly. "I jest. I'm just rechecking the measurements to make sure that everything is in order before I let you try on the final product."
Aiedo stands and moves the measuring twine up her body. She crosses it around her chest and takes the measure, frowning and tsking at the results.
"That's odd. It seems like you've more than doubled your bust size."
"I did not!" The Huntress blurted out before she could catch herself, her head snapping to look at the leering woman.
"Well, it could be that you did, or all of this article clothing you decided to wear is getting in the way." The warrior looks Aela up and down and shakes her head. "You dress like my old nana, and she's part blind."
"Let's just move this along!" Aela shoves Aiedo to the other side of the room, too flustered to point out that the clothing she was wearing came from her dressers. She drops down into a chair, crosses her arms, and waits.
"Here," Aiedo said as she returned with a full set of dwarven armor in her arms. "Try on the boots first." Aela does just that, and found them to be a perfect fit. Next were the gauntlets, which, again, fit her snugly. She takes Aiedo's outstretched hand and stands.
"Remind me again why I get the heavy armor?" Aela asked while Aiedo dropped the metal plate onto her shoulders. She moves to fasten the straps, but Aiedo shoos her hands away and does it herself. "Why go through all the time and money making it, when you can just craft the same items you do for yourself?"
"You are a hunter, my dear Huntress. Whether it be man or beast, you spend a good deal of your time lumbering in the back, picking your kills carefully, and because of this you are exposed – more so than I, and I'm the one taking them head on."
"Are you saying that I should do my job as a companion better?"
"I'm saying that you are exposed, and that you need heavy armor." Aiedo lifts her head and smiles, making Aela's insides churn. She takes a step back and says, "How do you feel?"
Aela looks down at herself and shrugs, which goes by unnoticed in the heavy plating. "Hefty." She looks back up, only to have her line of vision shrink as Aiedo drops the helmet onto her head. She looks around and immediately says, "This is awful." She hears Aiedo laugh, but she doesn't see her anywhere.
"You will get used to it through time."
She couldn't tell by much, but it sounded like the voice was coming from in front of her. Aela takes cautious steps forward and waves her hands out like she was completely blind. Her foot catches something. She trips, falls, and lands on Aiedo, who kneeling to gather her supplies.
"By the Divines, you are heavy!"
