A/N - I'm super excited right now! This chapter, I've been wanting to write since chapter 3, since this is about the festival. I originally

Storyteller POV

It's the day of the yearly Konoha moon-festival and everyone in the entire village are preparing and getting ready for the big evening.

Adults and children, men and women are all decorating and preparing for the festival.

Sakura, however, has just gotten the news that she will be working at the hospital.

"Grrggh! I can't believe Tsunade left all this paperwork for me on such a short notice!"

She throws the scroll on the floor, almost knocking down her cup of tea.

Her raven haired-male companion glares at her.

"Oh, sorry, hehe.. I guess I'm just excited for the festival and I feel bad to miss it." The pinkette looks down at the table, embarrassed by her outburst, while Sasuke remains unfazed.

"Hn, then I'm not going."

"Don't be silly. Of course you are!"

He merely glares at her with the same expressionless face.

"No." He says with a flat, monotone voice.

"Come on, Sasuke! Why not? You need to get out there and socialize. No matter how much you dislike social events, we both know you need to go out and talk to people. It's really important." Sakura looks at him with pleading eyes. Sasuke looks thoughtful for a while as silence devours them again until Sakura breaks it with a soft tone.

"If it helps, I promise I'll finish work as quick as possible and go with you. You just have to promise you'll go to the festival."

The thick and heavy silence surrounds them again with an unbearable tension filling the room.

Getting up from his seat, Sasuke makes his way towards the door.

However, hand still on the doorknob, he turns his head slightly saying:

"I'll pick you up at your office."

Giving Sakura no chance to respond, he then quickly walks out the door and closes it shut.

Shaking her head, a small smile appears on Sakura's face.

"Well, I better get going, then." She murmurs to herself.

At the office

Sakura POV

*Yawn*

I stretch my arms over my head. I have just finished the very last page.

"Finally done!"

Ah, I could just go home and jump in my be- wait! I still have to go to the festival with Sasuke! He told me he would pick me up.

As if on cue, a knock is heard from outside the door.

"Come in!"

And in, steps a Sasuke looking as handsome as ever.

He's wearing the clothing we bought together.

A simple but nice outfit with a black T-shirt and nicely fitted navy blue pants.

His hair is long with the bangs swept over his face.

"Hey. You came just in time. I have just finished the last paperwork." I flashed him a small smile before getting up from the chair and readjusting the stack of papers.

"You missed most of the festival. The fireworks are starting soon."

I quickly jerks up.

"What?! Well, we gotta hurry and I got-"

"Sakura." At the interruption, she closes her mouth.

"It's fine. I don't really wanna go back to the festival, anyway." I look at him baffled for a moment, but then I smirk slightly.

"You don't even go to the festival, did you?" I asks with a raised eyebrow.

"I was there for about 3 minutes before I left.."

"Sasuke, you know how important it is! Plus, you made a promise."

Before I know it, Sasuke starts dragging me by the arm.

"Hey, where are we going?"

"Just come."

"Wait! I'm still in my lab coat!"

"I don't care."

We don't run very far, before we settle on a roof.

There's a moment of silence as we look at each other.

"Sasuke, wha-" I'm interrupted again, but this time it's by the sound of fireworks.

I turn around to look at the view. It's absolutely stunning. The darkness of the clear night sky with the bright colors that explode into the sky.

"It's beautiful." I barely whisper.

I feel a presence next to me. I almost forgot about Sasuke being here, 'cause I was too busy admiring the view.

We stand in silence again, though this time, it' a pleasant silence. I actually enjoy just being in the moment.

I'm surprised when Sasuke is the one to break it.

"Sakura."

"Mhmm?"

"Thank you." I turn my head to look at him, my attention fully on him.

"What?" My eyes grow wide.

"You heard what I said, Sakura."

"For what?"

He averts his gaze slightly to the side.

"For letting me stay with you. For caring. For always believing in me and staying by my side.."

I can't believe this. Is Sasuke really saying all these things to me? I almost feel the tears about to burst out, but I won't let them fall.

"Sasuke… What is this, now? Where is all this coming from?"

He still refuses to meet my gaze, but I don't want to press on.

"I guess I've just been thinking lately.."

I cross my arms over my chest and raise a brow.

"You don't say?"

This time he turns his head and his eyes meet mine.

"I mean it, Sakura. Thank you."

I search his eyes and I see nothing but his seriousness and sincerity.

I feel the tears almost pouring out but I hold on to them. Instead, I wrap my hands around his torso and pulls him into a tight hug.

"You idiot…"

I press my face into his chest. I hear his steady heartbeat. For a while he just stands there, before he slowly brings his arms around me as well.

We stand like that a few minutes when he softly whispers:

"You're annoying…"

I start feeling the tiredness slowly taking over my body. Sasuke must have noticed, because he nudges me lightly in the side.

"Come. Let's get you home and in bed."

"Mhmm.."

Storyteller POV

Sasuke sighs. He then carries Sakura bridal style and runs off with her to her house.

Luckily, he has her spare key, so he opens the door and heads straight to Sakura's bedroom. He places her carefully in her bed, as if she might break, and covers her with the duvet. He walks over to the door and closes it, not before giving a last look at the sleeping Sakura.
