"Look at these cool new suits we got!" yelled Phil the youngest of the team he held a helmet in his hands.
"Yeah there something all right" said Tony holding up the chest plate. The new armor was based off the MK.4 and looked very much like red teams armor except it's color which was light Brown. Mike even got a new arm so it would match his armor it was thinner as well, he liked honestly liked how the new armor looked, it came with stronger shields as well. Phil was having the time of his life as he put on his armor, it was like getting a present for the first time Mike always knew that Phil had an inner child that he never really hid. When everyone had their armor on they left the armory, Mike was still nervous about this they were a band of misfits and now there all going on a rescue mission, they might just need to be rescued themselves. He really didn't want to lose anyone not Meghan, not Tony not anyone, this is their first mission as a team as well yeah they did training sims but well, their losers basically. He told the team to wait in the hanger while he went to tell Thel that they were ready to go, they were heading to the elite home world on the Juggernaut a Human/elite ship. Mike knew Phil was going to be happy with this, only a few of non crew members get to go on the ship, tho the ship contains about three thousand humans, and two thousand elites.
It was bigger then the UNSC Infinity by far, and had about six thousand weapons even a glassing beam, just in case they covenant get a bit cocky. Mike still didn't see why Thel picked Mike and his team and not Johns, the all mighty blue team but no he picks them. Great.
Kelly stared at herself through the mirror she couldn't bare what was happening, she was pregnant and at the worst time. What was she going to tell Mike, she's heard that guys aren't a big fan of this kinds of things, and Mike is already going through enough stress, the discovery of his sister and now the mission he's going on. Should she tell him now before he leaves or when he comes back, she needs to ask Cortana about this.
Mike, his team and the Arbiter flew up to the Juggernaut in a Phantom dropship, Phil was jumping up and down in excitement...(have you ever seen that, a seven foot tall killing machine jumping up and down like a fangirl). Tony being the one standing next to Phil was waiting for the perfect moment to lay him the fuck out, even Patty who is a all around loving person was pissed off. Mike was just praying for nothing to happen and to just get to the ship in peace, John doesn't have problems like this, does he? After seven awkward minutes they finally reached the Juggernaut and Mike got as far away from the team as he could. As soon as he got to the bridge they were already in slip space and were a few minutes away from arriving at their destination. Soon they can get what they need and leave this place.
The ship jumped out of slip space and all who could see were treated with a sight of beauty site, a large planet with a reddish glow laid in front of them.
"Shagolios, my home" said Thel standing besides Mike, Mike surprisingly just noticed the elite walk up next to him.
"It looks hot" said Mike a bit unsure about this.
"It is" said Thel. "Are you ready".
Mike and the team left in a drop ship with Thel to go to the surface of Shagolios, Mike was really nervous, him and his team were going to be the first humans that the citizens of Shagolios will ever see. The Drop ship was now landing and Mike could see a swarm of elites surrounding the ship, Mike looked at the others behind him, they stood like statues guns in their arms. Mike turned on the private coms.
"We are here as guest...put the guns away we don't want to send the wrong message" said Mike looking to the others. They swiftly put their guns away like robots. "And act normal...for once relax we don't want to frighten these people". The doors opened and Mike joined the others in formation Thel and the elites walked out first but the elite citizens moved their heads and shoved each other to see Mike and his squad, Mike took a step forward the others followed The light touched Mike's visor and the crowd gasped.
"Demons!" Yelled a male elite from the crowd, the crowd went from curious to scared and horrified in just seconds. The Arbiter and elite soldiers scrambled to calm down the citizens, couldn't believe what was happening one moment they were fine and now this. Mike not wanting to ruin this reacted fast and threw off his helmet.
"WAIT!" he yelled and everyone seemed to stop, they all looked at him even Thel was shocked. His helmet rolled to a younglings feet, it looked down at the helmet then to Mike.
"Human" it said pointing to Mike, all the elites starred at him.
"Um...yeah...I'm commander Mike Spartan 666 leader of Python team" said Mike a bit awkwardly, they started to come back and look at Mike and the others. They too took off their helmets and revealed that they too were human. "We come here as guest, and yes during the war we were referred to as demons, but we were just humans this whole time". Some of the elites looked shocked, even the males that Mike could tell were retired or at least just trainers due to their age did not believe them.
"Impossible I saw a Demon up close, it killed two hunters with ease, no human can do that" said one of them.
"Well" said Mike looking back at the others. "We have a habit of doing that, I can't tell you how due to this being top secret. even to our own people really, now if you may let us do what we came here to do and go check out the human ship that's on this planet".
"You can't its controlled by Jul Mdama's forces"
said an elite.
"What?!" said Thel.
"Jul?...This day keeps on getting better and better" said Mike tightening his fist.
Two hours later
"So why does the commander hate Jul so bad?" asked Patty looking at Jun.
"Have you ever seen the big giant scar on his stomach and back" said Jun pointing to Mike's back. "Well he got that from Jul stabbing him with an energy sword a few years back, when Mike was still a lone wolf, it ended up with Jul leaving Mike for dead due to more urgent matters happening with his troops".
"And now I'm going to kill that son of a bitch when I get my hands on him" said Mike walking in front of the group. Mike walked determined as ever to kill Jul and no one was going to stop him, no one he was going to show Jul what it meant to fuck with him.
Earth
"What?!" yelled Cortana in excitement. "That's great!".
"No its not" said Kelly shaking her head.
"Um yeah it is your gonna be a mom" said Cortana.
"Yeah but what about Mike what if he doesn't want to have a kid" said Kelly looking Cortana straight in the eyes.
"Ah!...yeah right when John and Mike hangout that's all he talks about, he even told John that he pokes wholes in the condoms" said Cortana rolling her eyes.
"He did what?!" said Kelly standing up. "Why that little...".
"Calm down jeez you act like he cheated on you" said Cortana taking a sip of wine. Kelly sighed and sat back down, she couldn't keep calm, it was happening all so fast, what was going to happen. "You no your sweating right?...you stink"
"Sorry" said Kelly.
"Look kids are amazing okay you'll be a happy mother...maybe a wife even" said Cortana trying to calm Kelly down.
"You think so?" asked Kelly.
"Yes" said Cortana giving a warm smile. "Look I'll show you, Hey John!".
"Yes?" asked John walking into the room.
"Would you say that having kids was the best thing that happened to you?' asked Cortana looking up to her husband. John looked Kelly straight in the eyes and shook his head.
"When the covies called me a demon, they didn't know what true demons were...but I do" said John getting closer to Kelly. "Don't have kids" whispered John.
"John!" yelled Cortana hitting John in the back.
"What you asked me and I told the truth" said John confused.
"Kelly's pregnant you big dummy" said Cortana.
"Oh" said John, he then put his hand on Kelly's shoulder. "I'm sorry...may god have mercy on your soul".
"It's okay" said Kelly laughing, they were so cute she just couldn't believe that John became this, so lovable.
"How much longer?" asked Phil as they climbed the mountain.
"Just a few more meters" said Thel.
"So what are you guys going to tell Jerome" asked Patty.
"Who?" asked Tony.
"Jerome-029 red teams leader, what are you guys going to tell him?" asked patty.
"Welcome home" said Mike looking up at the giant ship which laid before him.
"Wow" said Jun in aw.
"I don't see any covies" said Meghan talking for the first time since they've been here.
"That's because they haven't searched this part of the ship yet, and luckily this is where your friends are" said Thel.
"Are you sure?" asked Mike looking at the Arbiter.
"Yes, we had scouts come here earlier there is no Covenant presence here...yet" said Thel walking forward. "Are you coming?". Mike sighed and followed Thel to the ship, he read the name on the side of the ship, it read Spirit of Fire. Mike looked back at the others and signaled them to have their guns ready, they did as they were told they sprinted towards the ship, making no sound. They were able to break down a door without alerting anyone,
"Where's the cryo bay?" asked Mike looking down the hallway DMR pointing straight down the middle.
"It's three decks above us...in covie territory" said Meghan looking on the map displayed on her HUD.
"Everyone put on your silencers" said Mike grabbing a silencer out of his pouch.
"The power is working so we should be able to use the elevator" said Meghan doing the same. It took just a few minutes for them to get to the cryo bay and eliminate all Covenant forces in the area. They searched they cryo bay and only three pods were closed Mike told Phil to open them, Phil pulled up the controls for the cryo pods.
"What happened here?...it looks like something ate through the walls" said Jun shining his flashlight up at the ceiling.
"Well it did crash" said Tony.
"Yeah but...its so neat everywhere else but right here...its like something tunneled through" said Jun. Mike looked at the Arbiter.
"Any wild life we should worry about?" asked Mike.
"Non that can do this, no" said Thel finding it odd as well.
"Um...Mike" said Phil.
"What is it?" asked Mike looking back at him.
"All the escape pods are gone...launched actually...about ten years ago..." said Phil looking up at Mike.
"So are you saying that the crew abandoned the ship and left three Spartans here" said Mike walking up to Phil.
"It appears so" said Phil typing away at the screens, Phil stopped. "Want me to open them?".
"Do it" said Mike walking up to the pod. It hissed and the door opened, fog flowed onto the floor and a metal boot came out, then a whole Spartan and it had a gun aiming right at Thel.
Earth
Ben jumped onto Snow and they began to wrestle with each other, but no matter how much he tried ben always ended up on the bottom as Snow sat on him her hands on his just. "I've never seen Ben play before" said Cortana sitting next to Nani, Nani had found out about Cortana and John from Sarah and wanted to pay them a visit.
"Yeah Snow is just able to bring out the best people, well except for Mike" said Nani taking a sip of ice tea that John had brought out for the ladies. Kelly was sitting across from the two staring at her stomach, the two women laughed.
"What?" said Kelly looking up at the two.
"Nothing" said Cortana giggling. Kelly squinted at the two then went back to looking at her stomach, she even started to poke at it, Cortana shook her head and smiled.
"I win again!" cheered Snow getting up and jumping up and down.
"Yeah yeah" said Ben dusting himself off. "Good job" he smiled at Snow and looked to Catherine who was playing ref. She got up and walked towards Snow, she put up her fist.
"Let's do this said Catherine.
Many years ago
Mike ran past the body's that chief left behind, he was making his way to Amber clad, the doors were about to close but Mike leaped forward and made it just in time. He made his way to the bridge and stood next to Johnson. "Glad you could make it" said Miranda.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world" said Mike smiling, suddenly the chief came onto the coms.
"Sir, permission to leave the station" said John next to the bomb.
"For what purpose master chief?" asked Lord hood.
"To give the Covenant back their bomb" said John, everyone who heard this heard this froze.
"Permission granted" said Lord hood. That son of a bitch thought Mike as he heard this through the coms.
Present
Mike grabbed the Spartan's wrist and pushed it up just in time so that they fired at the ceiling. "Stand down Soldier" yelled Mike as he quickly pulled the gun away, he threw the gun down. "The elites are with us remember".
"Sir...I'm sorry force of habit?" asked the spartan, looking at Mike.
"Well you know me commander Mike-666, leader of python team, bla bla bla and that...since you didn't meet him before this is the Arbiter?" asked Mike.
"Oh well I'm sorry for that Sir it wont happen again" said Jerome.
"Thank god we got you out first...well Jerome...it's been 20 years since you and your team have been awake and well...the war is over due to our alliance with the elites, all thanks to the elite you tried to shoot. Thel Vadam the latest Arbiter and well the last so yeah...forgot to go into detail of that the last time when we fought the created" said Mike pointing to Thel.
"Where's my team?" asked Jerome.
"Still asleep" said Mike pointing to the cryo pods. "But you guys are what is left of red team...the only remaining Spartan two teams are you and blue team, originally black was in the mix until they died like...a while ago" said Mike.
"What about you and your team?" asked Jerome.
"We're Spartan three's...what's left anyway" said Mike softly. "There is also Spartan fours who were meant to replace both generations , us threes were meant to be expendable basically suicide squads sent to their deaths...Phil here" Mike pointed to Phil who was working on opening the other two pods. "Was the only survivor out of his whole company which died on their first mission we to were taken as children but by choice for our families died".
"Oh said Jerome" looking at the team of Spartans before him.
"Got them" said Phil, and the other two pods opened.
