Chapter Five
Green Floor
Freaking out, Jason starts to run around the area looking for Jessica. Only to find that he was alone. Or so he thought. As he walked around, the sound of clicking is heard following behind him. Slowing down, he hopped whatever it was, would go past him. But when he felt a wet nose on his right hand, he screamed. Unwilling to move, mostly in fear of running into a wall, he heard something whimper.
"What the?" He says turning just as the lights turned on, blinding him for a few minutes.
When his vision returned, there in front of him are two pitbulls wagging their tails. At first he didn't understand what was going on, and then thought it was part of the game. Only why turn on the lights and let him see where he was going?
"This game or whatever this is, is messed up." Jason tells the dogs who walk over to him.
Patting them on the head, Jason waited for something bad to happen. But after several minutes and nothing happening, he looked around and found a door. With the dogs behind him, he opens the door. And all he finds is an empty room.
"Guess this place is suppose to be scarer with the lights out." He takes a quick look around.
As he heads for the door, one of the dogs heads for the far corner. Sits down and starts to bark at him. At first Jason thought the dog had to pee, or worse. But the other one was trying to get him to go over to the first.
"Alright. I'm going." He starts heading towards the corner. "Maybe I should give you two names. So I'm not calling you dog one and dog two."
When he got to the dog, his jaw drops.
Pink Floor
Slowly starting to panic, the girls thought the next question would never come and the water was rising so fast they were a few above the floor.
"Correct."
With a sigh, the two look down. "Alright. Once the new question appears, we take a deep breathe, and head down okay?" Naomi tells Casie as she treads water.
All she does is shake her head and wait for the next question, which takes a few minutes and when it does it's hard to tell. Counting to three, they take a deep breathe and dive. It doesn't take them long to read the question and surface.
"What was Ada Wong's missions for Wesker?" Casie coughs as water goes in her mouth as she talks.
"Who's Wesker?" Naomi asks.
"I'm not too sure, but I think I know the answer!" Casie responds.
But not before realizing they could stand on the glass case, holding the key. Swimming over to it, they finally get a break from the treading water.
"Now this is better." Naomi smiles at Casie.
She smiles back. "So do you remember who and what this Ada person did?"
Naomi thinks about it. "I'm not sure if I do. Tho I wish Nick was here."
"Right! I think he told me a few times about it. Tho we all were drinking at the time." Casie looks around as the water level rises.
"Now I remember. The drink were good. Amy was making fun of Leon and whatever he did." Naomi starts to laugh a bit.
"Ya! Then Jason talked about leeches, and then Nick said something about Ada having to steal viruses for a person named Wesker!" Casie gets excited as she remembers.
Looking around again, they find themselves waiting to know if got it right. The only good thing that came from their waiting is that the water has slowed down to the point foa dribble.
"Correct."
Red Floor
It felt like a giant hand grabbing them. Pulling them deep into the water, as the sharks swam around them. Their lungs burning as they start to run out of air and panic was turning into terror. But before they got to the bottom, whatever was pulling them down, let them go. Rushing over to her, Steve grabs Amy and helps her to the surface. It only takes them a few minutes to catch their breaths and then swim to the path.
"Are you okay?" Steve asks minutes after they get out of the water.
She looks around. "I'm fine. How are we supposed to get to the middle?"
Steve could tell that this was getting to her. "Amy. Listen. We'll do whatever it takes to get there. And I mean, we. I won't let this beat us."
"How?"
"Well, I was thinking we do what we did, only we land in the water next to the path and quickly get out before the sharks or whatever pulled us down gets us." Steve looks over at the path next to them.
Amy does the same thing. "Sounds good until we get to the part where the gap is really big."
Steve laughs a little. "True. I didn't think about it."
Amy takes a few minutes to think. "Then that's what we do. Jump. Wait on the path until it moves, and then jump. And when we get to the part where we can jump, we wait and so on."
"Sure. So hold on. It's going to move soon." Steve says getting up and moving to the right spot.
But just was they were about to jump, parts of the path suddenly drop into the water. Leaving large gaps and the pair needing a new plan.
Yellow Floor
As the clock ticks down, a small hammer comes out of the ceiling and hits the glass. Now it doesn't do a lot of damage to it, at first.
"I have a bad feeling about that." Nick starts to look around the room.
"What was the point of that?" Tess asks as she watches Nick.
But before he could say a single word the hammer hits the glass. Only this time it was a little bit harder. Causing the dogs, to get more worked up.
"Where's the keys!?" Tess yells as she looks around the room.
"Calm down, Tess. We'll find them, but not if we panic." Nick tells her as he looks into her eyes.
"You're right. I'm sorry." Tess attempts to smile, but it doesn't come out right.
"You have nothing to be sorry about. It's that asshole who put us here that should be sorry." Nick says as he continues to look.
As they looked around several pieces of glass fall and break causing them to panic when they couldn't find the keys. And time was running out. Taking one last look around, Nick sees something shine out of the corner of his eye. Only it wasn't on the floor, it was on the wall near the ceiling.
"I found the keys! It's on the wall!" He yells as he tries to grab it.
Tess quickly runs over as more glass falls. "Lift me up!"
Turning to her, he lifts her up just as the first dog is trying to attack them. "Do you have it!?" He's unwilling to look away.
"Almost. Got. It." Tess stretches as far as she can go. "Got it!"
Trying his best not to drop her, Nick races over to the door, he takes the keys and prays he picks the right one. Cause time was running out and by the time he was on the third key, the last of the glass falls, sending the dogs after them.
Orange Floor
She didn't know when or where she lost him, all she knew was when she finally stopped running, he wasn't there and her collar had just changed colour. All she could do was sit in the corner. In the dark. Alone.
"Jason!" Jessica screams several times, hoping to get a response, but only gets silence.
After a few minutes of doing nothing, she finally decides to look around. Walking straight, she comes around a corner to find a small light. As well as a note.
"This guy really likes his notes." She picks it up to notice something. "This is different from the last one. I've changed the rules to suite my needs. You'll be the only one to know, that management will be changing soon."
Looking around, wondering if she could catch a glimpse of the camera she knows is out there. Watching her. But she can't find it. Taking one last look at the note before wandering around, something stops her.
"What's this? A secret note. You sneaky bastard. You already know you can't be away from your partner or you go boom. But you and your partner, if you are within five feet of each other, your collars will go off. Fuck." She goes silent as she starts to walk into the darkness.
Blue Floor
It sounded like a bomb going off when the door broke under the pressure of the two tyrants hitting it. The room went dark as they started to look around. All that was in the rooms to hide them were some tall file cabinets.
"Do you recognize them?" Eric whispers.
"I know that one is called Nemesis. I think the other is Mr. X, but I'm not sure." Sara whispers back.
"Hmm, I remember my family talking about them." He gets cut off my the sound of doors being broken upstairs.
But just when they thought they could come out of hiding, the door they come through, breaks down. Sending their heart rate up.
"This is not good." Eric takes a quick look to see if he could spot who it was.
But whoever it was, went the other way, leaving Eric and Sarah praying they can come up with a better plan. Tho there isn't many places they can hide. And as long as they remain unarmed, the two tyrants will call all the shots.
"We need to find the key to these collars." Sarah whispers as she moves closer to Eric.
"That would be sweet. But as long as they are out there, we're stuck hiding here." He turns to here.
As they were talking, they failed to notice that the tyrants have gone quiet. They don't move or do anything.
"Why is it so quiet?" Sarah asks with a hint of fear in her voice.
"Sarah, weren't Mr. X and Nemesis capable of being programed to do certain things?" Eric asks her, as his face loses colour.
"Yes, they were." Was the last thing she says before both tyrants scream.
Observation Floor
Chairs and other things that weren't nailed to the floor were being thrown all over the room. Things haven't being going as planned. And the worst part was he didn't know how or who was doing it.
"This isn't happening!" He breaks the table. "I planned everything perfectly!"
All his hard work, all those years of construction, plans, all undone by some coward unwilling to show themselves. But Wesker wasn't about to go down so easily. He was determined, more than ever to put things right.
"I will have my revenge. One way or another!" Wesker yells as he watches the monitors.
