I know I said I'll be continuing the story in June, but it is July and I still haven't made any progress with the story. I just lost the motivation to finish it. I'm sorry. I really am! I'm actually a bit angry at myself for discontinuing so many stories, but I guess I just don't have the "Writer's Spirit" or something.

Instead, here is a very rough outline of what I had planned on having happen:

-Black Light eventually tells Amy about the Tree in the vampiric forest. Each member of the Black Arms Royal Family has his or her own Tree in the forest that helps them connect to his or her soul mate. Only the Black Arms Royal Family member and his or her soul mate can find the Tree and receive visions from it.

-As you might have guessed, the vision Black Light gets from the Tree is the wedding between him and Amy. The worrying thing in the vision for him is that he doesn't look like a Black Arms. He looks like the Shadow the Hedgehog that we know and love. While Black Light is worried about this for a long time, he eventually decides that Amy is worth whatever pain he must go through to make the vision come true, but he still doesn't know how he will turn into Shadow the Hedgehog.

-However, he doesn't tell Amy about his vision of their wedding until afterwards.

-Then something happens to make Black Light decide to let Dr. Robotnik experiment on him as the contract allows. Or Dr. Robotnik wins an argument with Black Doom to allow for the experimentation. So for a while, the days pass with Dark Light spending time being experimented on and spending time with Amy when he can. During this time, Amy Rose falls in love with Dark Light. Also during this time, Shadow the Hedgehog back in the present (or whatever you want to call it) continues to have weird visions about his life as Black Light and his brief life on the ARK.

-Then something else happens. I was thinking the Gwisins attack, making the legend about them sort of come true. Also, Black Light and Black Doom have a fallout. Their fight is one that makes Black Doom blame Black Light for the almost extinction of the Black Arms race. ANYWAYS! Stuff happens that leads to Black Light, Amy Rose, Dr. Robotnik, and Maria to leave the Black Arms planet. Gary is left behind as he distracts Black Doom long enough for them to escape.

-Since the ARK is a big ship and only the four of them are driving it, they eventually crash on a different planet where they acquire some materials and scientists interested in helping Dr. Robotnik with his Project Shadow. Maybe they just land on this one other planet or maybe they land on several. Eventually, the ARK turns into the ARK Shadow the Hedgehog remembers it as. Sort of.

-This entire time, Amy Rose and Black Light are still falling in love. They have some cute moments, but nothing really big. Then, after Dr. Robotnik announces they will begin to actually test on Black Light now, Amy Rose protests. She has been unsure of Project Shadow. (She vaguely remembers hearing it from Shadow the Hedgehog or Rouge the Bat, but doesn't clearly remember. So she only has a bad feeling about it.) She tries to convince Black Light not to go through with it, but Black Light is bound to the contract. Also, he feels like the experimentation won't be that bad. While consoling Amy, he kisses her. Then soon after, Black Light goes into the lab and changes into Shadow the Hedgehog- the Ultimate Lifeform.

-I'm not sure why Dr. Robotnik gave him a hedgehog form.

-After becoming Shadow the Hedgehog, Black Light's memories fade until they become almost non-existent. Maria and Amy both help Shadow in learning about himself and educating him about the world. Since he has technically been "re-born," I viewed him at this stage as a toddler just beginning to understand the world and himself. Of course, Amy is confused. Shadow the Hedgehog is in front of her, but he doesn't know her yet.

-In the present, Shadow the Hedgehog has mostly completed in piecing his past together. He is also confused on how he knew Amy so long ago and becomes even more desperate to find her. There is an ache in his heart. An ache he thought was caused by Maria's death, but now recognizes it as his broken heart at the loss of his beloved pink flower.

-Amy eventually confesses to Dr. Robotnik that she doesn't know how she found herself on Black Light's planet and that she believes she has somehow travelled through both time and space. She is also growing more and more worried about the coming doom of the ARK, but she doesn't tell him this. It might mess up the timeline, so she just warns him of danger in the future. She is also worried about being stuck in this time, but Dr. Robotnik tells her he believes she will be returned to her time.

-Eventually, the doom of the ARK comes around. I was thinking of mostly sticking to what actually happened, but with Amy playing a part in it. Mostly Amy and Maria working together to help Shadow escape. Shadow sees Maria get shot and as tragic as it is, he is more devastated by watching the ARK blow up with Amy in it. (Amy doesn't get to escape. Only Shadow escapes the ARK alive.) Interestingly, the energy from the ARK sends Amy back to the present just before it explodes. The entire time, she hears the sound of cascading rain rapping against cement. When she returns to the present, it looks almost exactly like the night she disappeared, but the storm is ending and dawn is approaching.

-Shadow the Hedgehog wakes up from a familiar dream, but this time, it wasn't blurred. And Amy was in it. He gets up and races to Amy's house just as she is opening the door. He whispers her name and she turns around. She has a wavering smile on her face as if she wasn't sure how to act around him, so he embraces her, kissing every part of her that he can reach. Amy's tears soak his fur as he murmurs how he remembers everything and recounts their adventure together (the adventure she just experienced, but was a long time ago to him). They're both very confused and overwhelmed. Shadow has just uncovered his entire past. Amy has just experienced time and space travel. They both want to know how and why Amy was sent to Shadow's past. However, they realize they don't care anymore. Finally finding each other matters more, so they stay silent and enjoy each other's warmth as the sun rises to start the day.

-And if I was feeling an epilogue or something, I would have probably mentioned something about everyone's confusion and surprise when Shadow and Amy start dating openly.
