A/N: Here is another chapter for you guys since I took so long updating! I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I only own my OCs, and that is all.
I got up dressed and ready for the day with Haruhi. I wore my favorite Avenged Sevenfold shirt and skinny jeans with a pair of converse. I left my hair down. Haruhi helped me dye my roots last night so my hair looked really nice today.
Our goal was to spend our Sunday cleaning, doing laundry, cooking dinner, and then relaxing. First we needed to go to the store, though.
On our way back from the store we spotted a limo parked with a bunch of neighbors surrounding it in amazement. I had a feeling I knew who it was.
"What's this, out front our apartment?" Haruhi asked me.
"I have pretty good feeling about what it is," I sighed, shaking my head. They could at least call first, right?
"Wow, so this is Haruhi's house, huh?" one of the twins said while stepping out of the car, "It's pretty big, isn't it? Bigger than I thought."
I snickered from behind them. They really thought the whole apartment complex was a house. That's insanity. Do they not know what apartments are?
Tamaki was pacing around upset for some reason. "What's with all of these people?! Especially those two dopppelgangers!" Oh, I guess he didn't want to bring everyone over. Just them? Odd.
"When should we tell them we're right here?" I whispered to Haruhi, who was leaning against a pole.
Haruhi was growing more and more aggravated as Tamaki spoke. She eventually was going to snap. I could feel the chill from her evil stares in my bones. It gave me chills.
"Go away, right now!" Haruhi yelled at them.
They all gave her a thumbs up and said she looked good. I stood behind her snickering to myself. Japan is so lively. I pushed my hair behind my ear and waved at them.
"Shut up. Get the hell out of here!" Haruhi yelled again.
"Haruhi is using incredibly dirty language!" Tamaki was appalled by this, hollering in pity. He began to blame the twins for her bad language.
"You're looking good, Maya-chan," the twins came over to me, "What does your shirt say?"
"Avenged Sevenfold," I pronounced for them, "It's a band I really enjoy." They nodded in curiosity.
"What kind of music do they play?" Kaoru asked, "I want to hear them sometime," Hikaru said.
I nodded and smiled, getting out my iPod and handing them headphones. I began playing one of their songs for them. Their eyes widened, but they both looked to enjoy the music.
"We need to pay attention in English class more," Kaoru said to Hikaru, "I really enjoy it! I just wish I knew all the words they were saying."
I understood what they meant. I didn't know Japanese 100%. I had a tutor for several months before my dad and I moved just to be able to kind of understand it.
Honey-sempai offered us some cake as a present for them intruding on our day. Haruhi was not liking the idea of them coming in her apartment at all. I felt bad for her. She must get tired easily. I patted her on the shoulder.
"It's ok, Haruhi-chan," I smiled, "We'll get through this together."
She smiled at me and nodded, "You can't expect anything from these people."
Hikaru offered us some tea from Africa that his dad brought home as a souvenir. I thanked him while Haruhi and I went to put some tea on. It was a common custom in Japan to offer tea to guests.
The twins and Tamaki have seemed to turn their visit into a contest. 'Whoever Embarrasses Haruhi Loses' or whatever. I found it amusing to watch. They were walking on eggshells the entire time it seemed. I guess our world was a commoner's world, and their knowledge does not hold true.
Before we knew it it was lunch time.
"Eating the cake made me peckish. Haru-chan, Maya-chan, I want something made by you," Honey-sempai smiled. My heart melted at how cute he was.
Tamaki and the twins began crying because they wanted to ask first. Silly boys.
Haruhi explained that we'd have to go back to the grocery store, and it may take some time, but everyone got excited to go to a 'commoner's supermarket' as they called it.
I went outside with everyone and waited on Haruhi and Tamaki to come outside. Tamaki wanted to pay respects to Haruhi's mom, which I thought was very sweet and polite. Ranka-san got home from work and gave me a hug before going up the stairs to see his daughter.
I heard a scream and a thud, and quickly went upstairs to see Tamaki slumped against a wall and Ranka apologizing to Haruhi for being gone last night. Ranka was picking on Tamaki and stepping on him, calling him a pest. What in the world did I just miss! My eyes grew wide. I'd never seen Ranka with those piercing eyes before.
The twins were right behind me, introducing themselves. Ranka quickly quieted down and was introduced to the host club. Ranka got along with them just fine. Haruhi was quick to get upset, though, when she found out her dad keeps in contact with Kyouya about her school life. Tamaki just stayed in his depressing corner the entire time, pretending to grow mushrooms.
"Did you know about this?!" she asked me, and I quickly shook my head no.
"I didn't know anything about it," I honestly answered, pushing my hair out of my face, exposing my bright blue eyes.
"Did you dye your hair, Maya-chan?" Kaoru smiled at me and asked. I nodded enthusiastically.
"Haruhi helped me do it last night."
"It looks really nice," Hikaru finished, leaning back a bit from the table.
"Thank you very much," I blushed a bit. I wasn't used to being complimented.
"You're so cute when you're angry!" Ranka tackle-hugged Haruhi out of nowhere just like Tamaki does. It's why Haruhi can handle him so well I think.
Haruhi got up and walked to the door, "I'm going to the supermarket, all by myself."
I got up and walked over to her, "Are you sure? I can go with."
"No. I'll be right back, so everyone, please behave yourselves," she really was mad. She likes to be alone when she's angry.
"Haruhi! We want to go to the commoner's supermarket," one of the twins hollered out.
"That's ok. Once she's spoken, she won't listen to you," Ranka reassured him, "She's always been very independent."
"I'm very grateful to all of you. She seems to be happy and enjoying herself at school now, in her own way."
I found that really sweet. He went on to explain how she decided she wanted to go to Ouran and did all the admissions paperwork herself, never once relying on him even though he wished she would.
"Maya-chan, the few days you've been here," Ranka took a sip of his tea, "I am also very grateful to you for becoming a good friend of hers. I haven't seen her smile as much as she has this year in a very long time."
I bowed in respect, "It's no problem at all. I'm very thankful for your courtesy and allowing me to stay here."
"Speaking of which, when are you going to get your things?" Kyouya asked me.
I sighed, looking down, "Have you told my dad yet?"
Kyouya adjusted his glasses, "I sent word in to the base in Yomitan, so he should get my message any day now."
"Thank you. I really do need to get my things. I never really had time to unpack anything but my clothes anyway. I just don't want to intrude any more here than I have to," I sighed.
Ranka patted me on the head as I closed my eyes, "There's plenty of room here. We have a spare dresser, and you can always put any spare boxes in our storage room we have here."
I nodded and smiled, "Thank you so much. Kyouya, can I get my things today by chance? While I'm feeling slightly courageous?"
Everyone, especially Tamaki, looked at me in surprise. I brushed my hand across my cheek where Hazuki had hit me the last time I saw her. I never want to see that woman again, but I really need my clothes. I only have like 3 outfits here, two of which were bought by Ranka.
Kyouya nodded to me, "Of course."
