The boat ride to the small village of Nami was… annoying to say the least. Well, annoying to Naruto, that is. The man that was to ferry them, and old friend of their client, just would not stop gawking at the teen that was calmly floating across the water beside the boat. Twice he almost crashed into the very bridge they were supposed to guard, and the last hundred feet or so Naruto just gave up and levitated the boat.

Now they were in Nami, walking through a heavy mist that surrounded the island. The mist was great cover for them against Gato's thugs. Unfortunately, it also worked the other way around.

With a loud thwack a very large sword imbedded itself in a nearby tree, beside a small pond. A few seconds later a man, dressed in blue pants, cow-patter arm and leg warmers and not much else appeared on it. He had a slashed headband with the squiggly lines that were the Kiri symbol.

"Hatake Kakashi." He grunted. "I can see why the Demon Brothers failed."

"You?" Kakashi raised a hand to his headband. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, if the client pays enough…" The man shrugged.

"Hey! What am I, chopped liver?" Tsume pouted. "Naruto-kun, he's ignoring me." Naruto just raised an eyebrow. "Go get him. What are you waiting for?"

::Oh very well.::

The Kiri missing Nin jumped up, taking his sword along for the ride, and Kakashi started to raise his headband, but both stopped when Naruto floated to them. Literally, in the former's case.

"I can't move." He blinked. "Hatake, why can't I move? What did you do?" Kakashi just shrugged and pointed to Naruto.

::Telekinesis.:: The white-haired teen answered simply. ::Or, the ability to move objects with your mind. And, at this instant, you are said object.:: A Senbon needle came rocketing out of the tree line and towards him, but Naruto just stopped it in mid-air without even looking in its direction. A moment later a masked ninja with long black hair, dressed in a pink kimono came floating out of the trees and hovered next to the other. ::It's quite useless to resist Momochi Zabuza.:: The older man blinked in surprise, his muscles contracting in a futile effort to free himself. ::Apart from Telekinesis I also have the power of Telepathy. The ability to read minds and communicate thoughts. As you can see by my mouth not moving.::

"Huh. Hadn't noticed." Naruto sweat dropped.

::On to business. Firstly, please apologies to Tsume-chan for ignoring her. The brown-haired woman in the cloak.:: Zabuza floated in front of the woman, who had a victorious grin on her face.

"Sorry for ignoring you."

::Thank you. That was quite polite. Now let's see what you have been up to.:: Naruto frowned. ::The Mizukage, really?::

"He had it coming." Zabuza answered simply.

::I'll bet. Oh, and who's the read-head?:: Naruto raised an eyebrow with a small smirk.

"My ex."

"Naruto-kun, are you looking at naked mind-pictures of other girls?" Tsume frowned at him.

::No, of course not. I shall give you a deal, Momochi Zabuza.:: He continued on, ignoring Kakashi's snickers. He'd have to deal with the man later. ::Leave Gato's employ and join us, and I shall go with you to Kiri and deal with your Mizukage.::

"He ain't my Mizukage."

::Yes, yes, you get the idea. Deal?::

"Let me consult with my associate." Naruto nodded and brought Zabuza to the masked Nin. "What do you think, kid?"

"I don't believe we can beat him Zabuza-sama."

"No shit?" Zabuza deadpanned. "You have a talent for the obvious Haku."

"Thank you Zabuza-sama."

"Aha… Ok…"

::Naruto.::

"Like the topping?" Naruto just sighed and sent a small log to the back of a laughing Kakashi's head. "We accept your offer. Can you let me down now?" The two dropped, Zabuza a bit more forcefully than Haku. "Gee, thanks."

::You're welcome.::

"Looks like we're teammates now, eh Hatake."

"Sure." Kakashi shrugged. "Whatever you say." He returned to his little orange book and continued walking, followed by his three bewildered Gennin and the weary bridge builder. Zabuza turned to Tsume, who just glared at him.

"Hey, I apologized."

"Behave, or I'll sic my awesome boyfriend on you." She growled, passing him. He just stared after her with a sweat drop.

"Your girlfriends kinda…"

::Yes, I know, but if you value your life you won't finish that sentence. She's the Inuzuka matriarch.:: Zabuza just gulped.

"Wait, shouldn't she have a dog with her, then?"

::He caught the flu.:: Naruto deadpanned, floating ahead.

"Yeah, I'm totally feeling the love here."

"I love you Zabuza-sama."

"Thanks Haku."
