Chapter 6: The Betrayed Husband
**Percys POV**
Percy had been making his way down Olympus so he could begin his way to Camp Half-Blood. He had grabbed his pen/sword, Riptide, and hailed a cab. While he rested in the cab, he found himself lost in thought. Kronos had been his enemy, but now aided him. His grandfather was helping him, and he wanted to know why. He thought of his wife, Athena, and how it pained him to have to be away from her. Hopefully this quest would not take long, and he could be back to her soon. As for this secret he was to learn, he continued to think of it until they finally arrived.
"Hey, you sure you want off here mate?" The cabby said. Percy nodded, and handed the driver some cash. He got out and made his way to camp. As soon as he crossed the border, he felt something was wrong and immediately ran towards the forest. As he ran, he heard a crack of lightning and growling.
"Gods... Why do these hellhounds always get in here?!" He thought to himself and sighed, drawing his sword. But as he arrived at the area, he saw a camper kill the hound, and then talk to Chiron who looked worried. As Percy was about to say hello, and congratulate the boy, his own face went pale as everyone bowed to the boy, for the symbol of his wife was shining above his head. The feeling of true betrayal flooded his mind. And to make things worse, the boy was looking at him with an expression of true fear.
**Kais POV**
Oh shit. Oh shit. Fuck fuck fuck fuck. That was what was going on in Kai's mind as he watched the husband of his mother stand there looking at him.
"Do not fear him. He will do you know harm." Kronos sounded in his head. "Go. Speak to him. Let him know of your opinion. I'm sure you'll get along great" he said as he chuckled softly, leaving Kai with a confused look. He stood up and began to walk when the boy he had sat next to the previous night grabbed his ankle.
"Are you daft? He'll kill you." He whispered. Kai continued and began to raise his Hand out. As he arrived he held his hand to shake his.
"Hello sir. My name is Kai. Uhm... Look."
"Save it. I know you have nothing to so with this." He took his hand and forced a smile. "My name is Percy Jackson. Know i hold no ill will towards you. I would like to get to know you as a son. You technically are my step child." He said mildly bitterly. He know the child had nothing to do with this. He would question his wife later about it. Suddenly, he heard footsteps, and saw his friend Rachel Elizabeth Dare walking towards them. Her voice rang out across the camp.
"Four shall west to the Titan in Chain
For with out him, evil goddess shall reign
To Retrieve daughter of dove, and son of the forge
Back to the underworld once more
Son of death, will guide the way
With a god returned, to his original form,
Secrets will heal a family torn"
With the final line, she passed out, leaving the camp to decide which four shall go on the quest.
