"Greeting"
By J.T. Magnus, 'Turbo'

Harry remembered suddenly reading something in one of his textbooks about some kind of 'Goblin greeting', or maybe it was a farewell, he couldn't remember; it was something about defeating enemies. He couldn't remember the exact words, but there was something from a movie he'd overheard from the cupboard that Dudley had been watching which he wasn't supposed to because of the rating, maybe it would work...

Bowing his head slightly without breaking eye contact with the goblin assisting him, Harry offered, "'May you crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women'."

The goblin gave him a flat, unamused look for several long seconds before finally breaking the silence that was growing painful with a blunt remark...

"You are not Conan, wizard."

Author's Note; I admit, I'm as bad about some fanon things as anyone, but when the idea came to me to have a laugh at the whole 'Goblin greeting' concept, I just couldn't pass it up...
