Here is the much awaited Chapter 6. Read and Review

Macavity POV

I had been planning this for weeks, why was I nervous? The plan was simple and foolproof; as long as my scouts were correct. According to them, Demeter always walked around the southern border at noon. They also found out that Munkustrap would be patrolling the northern border today, making him as far away from her as possible. Munkustrap was the only one who could break through my hypnosis, so even if it was my absolutely moronic brother Tugger, the plan would work. The journey to the junkyard was a familiar one. I would often sit just out of sight and sent and watch them. Several times after a sudden wind change I would see Demeter tense, being the only one who could smell me from that far off. Whenever I saw that it killed me to know that I was the source of her fear.

The journey to the junkyard was a familiar one. I would often sit just out of sight and sent and watch them. Several times after a sudden wind change I would see Demeter tense, being the only one who could smell me from that far off. Whenever I saw that it killed me to know that I was the source of her fear.

When I came close enough to see the southern border I hid. I knew that if everything wasn't timed perfectly the plan would fall apart. There was the guard, a young tom; I doubt he was even alive when I was expelled from the tribe. I walked up to him in the guise of a stray. I stared at him for a few seconds, forcing my intentions on him, "sleep"; he was asleep instantly, and the spell wouldn't break until I was safely in my den. Now I had to hide before Demeter saw me. There she was, as stunningly beautiful as ever. I was down-wind of her so she couldn't smell me. She turned in my direction; I walked out of my hiding spot, and using all of my strength said, "Follow me." I could see she was trying to fight the urge to follow. I gave one last nudge and she followed.

She followed me out of the junkyard, through the streets, all the way to my den. I severed the connection to the spell on the tom; I wanted them to find her as soon as she left. There she was, even more beautiful this close up. I had to talk to her, but I knew as soon as I let the spell go she would panic. I had to ease her out of the spell, let her know I have no intentions of hurting her,not again, not ever again.

I see her start to come out of it, "Demeter… It's Macavity. I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to talk." I see her fur stand on end when she smells me, her whole body quakes with fear when she hears my voice, my name. It kills me.

She is fully awake and she starts to back away; I do the same in an attempt not to frighten her any more than I already have.

"Get away from me, you vial, despicable, monster." Tears are running down her face at this point. I want to kill myself, but I persevere.

"I swear I won't touch you. I – I just need to talk to you."

"Why the hell should I trust you? You kit-napped me, again!

"I know, but I needed to talk to you… about the ball… and what I saw there."

"I don't have to tell you anything." She started walking to the entrance.

"Is she mine?" the words just fell out. I had no control. It took all my strength to keep from getting any closer to her. She was so incredibly alluring. I didn't want to scare her, but I didn't know how much longer I had before the other side of me took control.

"Is who yours?" She seemed icy and distant and that stoked the flames already burning.

"The young queen, she had your face and size. I think she was called J-Jemima? I know I saw red in her coat." Desperation and weakness seeped through, coloring my words.

"That is absolutely none of your business!" I wish she would calm down; it's so hard to keep control when she is being so incredibly infuriating.

"For your own safety, please, please calm down. You know my temper better than any-one." That sounded horrible but I had to warn her.

"Yes, and that is exactly why I am leaving. I can't believe you tried this again. I hope Munkustrap kills you next time. You've earned it." And with that went my control.

"Listen you little **! We can go about this three ways." I walked over and pinned her to a wall. Everlasting Cat! Being this close to her was amazing. "You can tell me. I'll let you leave and that will be the end of it. You can resist. I'll force you to tell me, and in doing so break the promise I made to myself that I would never hurt you, physically or mentally, ever again. Your third option is for you to try and escape. I will eventually get into the junkyard and talk to her myself. The choice is yours my love, it always has been." The smell of her fear was intoxicating. The feel of her ragged breath against my skin drove me crazy. I wanted her. I loved her. Couldn't she see that? I was so much better than that damn Munkustrap. I was smarter, stronger and braver. I was everything he wasn't.

"Let me go now. I will never let you anywhere near her. Do you understand me? Just because you are the father doesn't mean you have any right or reason to talk to her." She had never spoken to me like that before. There was no fear or worry, just rage. Rage looked very good on her.

"You look absolutely ravishing." I got closer and whispered in her ear. "I wonder if she has your fire. She has to have some of my power. I'm going to let you go now, but I swear this won't be the last time we meet. And as far as our daughter is concerned… well we'll see." And with that, I let her go.
