AN- I don't own Harry Potter. I don't have a beta so please let me know of any mistakes! Thanks!

'"Hi Harry! Hi Harry!?'" Harry raged. "Hermione, you've been gone for years! And all you have to say is 'Hi Harry'! You disappear, and then show up with a kid. But not just any kid, Sirius' kid. Do you know how worried we've all been? Merlin, Hermione, how could you do that to us? I can't-"

"HARRY JAMES POTTER! YOU CUT THAT OUT THIS INSTANT!" Ginny bellowed from behind him. "You've no idea what Hermione has been through. I'm sure she knows how she made everyone feel, and I don't think yelling at her will make anything better. Now, why don't we let Hermione spend some time with Sirius, and let them figure this out."

"No, it's alright Gin. I'd rather not tell this story more than I need to. Why don't we all have a seat and I'll explain everything." Hermione said as she shifted Orion on her hip. This was not going to be a pleasant conversation, she could tell already.

"I didn't leave because anyone hurt me," Hermione began. "I didn't leave because of anything anyone did. I left because of me. When I found out that I was pregnant, I was excited, over the moon even. But I was also afraid. I didn't know if Sirius wanted a family with me and I took that choice away from him, and I'm sorry for that. Orion is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I regret ever taking him from you, Sirius. I shouldn't have done that."

"I don't know Hermione," Harry began. "It's just not adding up. You say no one hurt you, so that only means that you were scared. I'd never took you for a coward."

"My mummy is not a coward! She helped kill a very bad man, mister!" Orion shouted from Hermione's side.

Through his tirade, Harry had forgotten that Orion was there causing him to blush slightly at being scolded by a four-year-old.

Silence fell over the group.

"Listen, Harry," Hermione began quietly. "I came here so that Sirius could meet his son, not to fight with you. Yes, it was selfish of me to leave, but there's nothing we can do about it now. Just know that leaving was the hardest thing I've ever done, and now that I'm back, and now that you all know about Ri, there's no chance of me leaving again."

"Hermione, I'm sorry. I know you're not a coward. It's just a lot to deal with. We'll get together soon and we can talk. Yeah?" Harry said, hoping that Hermione would forgive him. "And, I'm sorry Orion. I shouldn't have said those mean things about your mom.

Harry turned and walked out of the room before Orion could answer. He needed some time alone, and he needed to give Sirius and Hermione some time alone.

"Well, that was intense," Sirius said breaking the silence. "Didn't imagine that you'd have to see Harry today, did you?"

"No, I was going to explain to him later, but nothing ever goes as planned. Why don't we go to the park now? We could all use some fresh air." Hermione said as she stood from the couch.

"I'll go see about Harry. I'm sure he's beating himself up right now. You three have a great time!" Ginny said as she followed Harry up to his room.

"Park! Park! Park!" Orion chanted, thrusting his fist in the air.

The trio walked the short distance to the park in silence. Sirius stayed close to Hermione, occasionally brushing against her arm. He was still afraid that she would disappear again. He was going to try his hardest to keep her with him.

When they reached the park, Hermione lifted Orion into the swing and began to push him.

"No! Daddy push! Daddy push!" Orion cried.

Hermione's smile faltered a bit as she stepped aside, but they had agreed that Sirius would push him on the swing.

Sirius hesitantly stepped behind the chanting toddler and placed his hands on the sides of the swings. With a light push, the toddler quickly began cheering.

"Higher, Daddy, higher!" he called, laughing.

Sirius smiled and began pushing the little boy higher. He'd never felt such joy in his life. He had a son. He was a father, and Hermione was a mother. Hermione. Sirius turned and looked towards her. The love of his life. The woman that had caused him so much heartache.

"Hermione," Sirius sighed as he continued pushing the toddler. "We need to talk. I need you to know that the last 4 years have been hell for me. And I'm not saying this to cause you any more pain, I'm saying it to let you know how I'm feeling. You took everything when you left. Those six months with you were short, but they were some of the best times of my life. Don't leave again."

"I won't Sirius. I won't leave again," Hermione replied.

"""""""

A few weeks had passed since the trio went to the park and Hermione and Orion seemed to be spending more time with Sirius. She wanted to make sure that his relationship with Orion was growing. They spent day after day with Sirius, and sometimes Harry, going to the park, and around to the Muggle shops near Grimmauld Place.

Sirius felt that he had to make up for lost time, so everything Orion wanted, Sirius bought it, even when Hermione protested.

"Sirius, he doesn't need all of these toys. He has plenty at home," Hermione argued as she watched Sirius place another toy into their buggy. She knew coming into the toy store was a bad idea, but she didn't think Sirius would buy the entire store.

"It's not a matter of need, Hermione. It's a matter of want, and I want to buy my son these things. Nothing you say will change my mind," Sirius chuckled. "And, he has toys at your parents' home. He needs some at Grimmauld Place."

Hermione stared at him. He was right, he didn't have any toys at Grimmauld Place. And since they had been spending more time there, often spending the night, he did need some toys there.

"You're right," Hermione sighed.

"Of course, I am," Sirius said with a smirk. "We should get something to eat, it's nearly dinnertime."

Hermione nodded and followed Sirius and Orion to the checkout lane. Once they were done, they headed back to Grimmauld Place, Sirius carrying an excited toddler, and Hermione walking beside them. She had magically shrunken the toys and put them in her bag so that her hands remained free. She watched the pair closely. There was no doubt that Sirius loved Orion, even after only knowing him for a few weeks, the way Sirius smiled when Orion talked warmed Hermione's heart. There were many nights where she thought about how her life would be if she had never left. Would they have gotten married? Would they have more kids by now? She would never know. She didn't even know if Sirius wanted her that way anymore. Even if he didn't she couldn't blame anyone but herself.

"Hermione, I think you should talk to Harry," Sirius said, pulling her out of her thoughts. "I know you've talked to him, but I also know that you never really explained why you left. He's hurting, and I think it's time to fix your friendship."

Hermione nodded as they made their way up the steps in front of Grimmauld Place. "You're right. I'll talk to him tonight."

"Thank you," Sirius said, smiling down at her.
