From this point on we shall be diverging from the main plot line of the game, and going on our own little prance. I may dive in and out of the main quest and large side quests later, but that is mostly up to my ideas and whatnot. Bits and pieces will be revealed about Taren also, but I mostly want to keep him underwraps –evil laugh- Anyways sorry for the extremely long delay, ive been quite busy but enough with me complaining here you go! i promise more will happen in the next chapter!

The roads, while still thick and snowy, seemed easier to walk through today thanks to the sun melting some of it. The wind was quite strong though, blowing my dark red hair into my face and nearly making me eat it. Dannik enjoyed the wind much more than I did, stretching his wings and enjoying the feeling of the wind swiping along them. There was nothing much to do along the roads, other than watching some of the animals trot along in the forest close to the road. The snow was starting to thin thankfully, and soon hopefully we'd be out of it and be able to walk more freely.

I heard Dannik's talons scratch against the stones as he turned, looking into the forest and between the trees. I curiously looked also, hoping to find what he was so keenly looking at. In seconds though he calmed, ignoring whatever was looking for and continuing to stumble along the stone path.

Clearly something is out there,

I thought to myself as I kept on high lookout as we kept walking. It was never good to just blindly wander sort of like what we were doing, and I'd heard my fair share of stories about bandits and other unkind types wandering among the bushes. Maybe that was what was stalking us, but none the less we still walked hoping to make it to Riverwood, the town Taren was going to meet us at before nightfall.

But As if summoned for my very mouth, some unkind looking figures began to descend from the forest, before all out sprinting for us. I tried to reach for my knife, but an arrow slid right through the air beside my ear causing me to freeze. As the walked closer they stutter-stepped back, the heat of Dannik's fire causing their boots to nearly melt off of their own feet. The men raised their swords and arrows at him, as someone snuck up behind me and tried to pry my pack off of my back.

Dannik made a move to burn the man trying to steal our food to a bloody crisp, but one bandit shot an arrow that scalped the side of his neck. My arm nearly broke as the man pried the bag off my shoulder, not caring as my arm twisted in the strap. As when the men got what they wanted, Some took off, shooting arrows at us to avoid us, more like Dannik, from coming after them. I thought they would've been much more surprised and maybe even deterred by Dannik, but clearly the men were desperate and willing to do anything. Besides, there were much bigger dragons then Dannik, which I wasn't so fond to admit.

"It looks like we are going to need more food."

I looked down at my hands, seeing my nails covered in dirt and split in the corners. Dannik hummed in agreement as we started walking again, my shoulders slouched as I fondled the knife I didn't even get the chance to pull out. We didn't have many Septims, only enough to but a few more slices of meat if we so needed, which we very much did now.

As we passed by a two large towers with a high bridge connecting the two over water, We saw Whiterun in the distance. That wasn't our destination and we couldn't afford to waste time there, so we kept our pace towards Riverwood.

Not much seems to change does it,

As I eyed the farms and other cute little house along the road, as a guard walked by us hand on the hostler of his sword.

Thankfully Dannik was in the skies and the guard didn't notice him, hopefully we'd make it to the trees and he'd finally be able to land. Though I have a feeling he felt the opposite, and hated the idea of getting to the forests and having to drop back down onto the ground. He looked so happy swooping down to fly by me, and twirling around in the sky with reckless abandon. It looked so amazing, I wished I couldn't give it a try. But lack of wings was forever a disappointment, as I watched him soar through the wind and beat his wings as I walked. My map was taken along with our food, so I was stuck going by the small wooden signs stuck in the ground, which luckily pointed us in the close area of where Riverwood is. I turned left and Dannik followed, flying ahead of me as I walked up a small hill beside a stream.

I wonder what the letter Brynjolf sent him said,

I thought out of nowhere, the fire haired thief popping in my head like a bad sickness. Of course the idea of Taren our elfish looking Nord being a fellow thief wasn't fully out of the question, but for now I guess id give him the small amount trust and say he wasn't. Quite yet. But then again not many people delt with Brynjolf unless they were thieves, food for thought, as we had none to actually fill our stomachs.

Ah well, he wasn't the one that took our food away now was it,

I thoughtfully grumbled to myself as Dannik started to descend from the sky. He landed in front of me, his winged still stretched for the sky as his neck was waved almost like a serpent ready to strike.

"Enjoy your flight?"

I said as he began to trot along by me.

"Quite. I wish the trees wouldn't get in the way. I would love to fly the rest of the way."

He looked up at the treeing, huffing smoke out of his nose as his reddish purple scales shined with the light poking through the leaves. The sounds of a waterfall and with that came the sounds of people, and as we walked over the small bridge we started to see the shadows of homes. It was a welcome sight given that I was hungry and in love with the idea of some rest.

"The tavern,"

I pointed the the Giant Inn through the trees.

"Fly behind it and sit on the roof, ill let you in after I knock on the window."

He took off and I did as well, lightly running towards the outside part of the Inn and passing by the elderly man, before pushing open the thick wooden door. Their wasn't much happening but you couldn't ask much from such a small village, their was only five people and two were the owners of the Inn. One was a woman, wearing a nice blue dress and sweeping away, while the other was what I assumed was her husband behind a bar with meat hanging right behind him. The meat was almost more of a welcome sight than the actual inside of the Inn itself, and I walked up and asked for a room and some of the meat. He gave me the room I pointed at, with a window facing the back of the Inn, and handing me three cuts of meat. It was pretty much all but five Septims that I gave him, but hopefully someone would need a favor done and I could earn my amount back.

I raked my messy tangled hair out of my face with my hand as I closed the door behind my with my boot, before pushing open the wooden window. I leaned backwards and faced the roof, yelling for him as I knocked lightly on the wood. Dannik ducked down nearly scaring me out of my wits, seeing his talons coming straight down for my face. But I ducked my head back in just in time, and he was able to squeeze himself through the window. He wouldn't be able to do that soon I thought to myself, as he plopping himself on the bed and I sat at the table, taking the weight off of our feet until the time came that we had to meet up with Taren.
