A/N: Ciaossu... Hello minna, Sorry for the utterly long wait. I've just been really busy over the holidays. Anyways, his is just chapter six of YKR I've re-edited it and it should be a lot more interesting to read!

Also to anyone who's interested, I'm looking for a couple OCs that I could use in the following chapters, so if you want I'd love to add a more diverse cast to YKR~

Disclaimer:

Shambles: Our disclaimer will be done by Law this time around~ Law?

...?

Penguin: Captain left, but he used a bunch of marines to make the disclaimer...

On the floor, a squad of marines were chopped to bits, forming "One Piece does not belong to ."

Shambles: ... Well at least he did it..

"Your kidding…Right?" Thoughts or whispers

"Your kidding…Right?" Speech

Aria's P.o.v

His challenge broke the marines out of their silence and they began to draw closer, I had moved to intercept them, unsheathing my tanto, Gekko in my left had while Kokutan was in my right; and baring their razor edges towards my opponents.

However…

Law motioned for me to stay back, to let the marines come charging at us first, swords drawn. They decided it would be smarter to ditch their guns and charge us with cutlasses flailing, the idiots. WE would have had a much harder time trying to dodge bullets rather than blades.

"Room." From Law's fingertips a flickering dome of blue light emerged and incased us in a six-meter diameter bubble.

I was curious; I hadn't seen Law's devil fruit in action yet. Holding a scalpel in each hand he patiently waited until a few of the braver marines had stumbled into his "Room." Swipes of cold steel seemingly at empty space, yet terrified screams came in response, to be cut apart and see yourself coming undone was frightening, enough so that the marines didn't bother to wonder why there was no blood streaming from their gaping wounds. Glancing over at Law, I noticed that though he looked like he was enjoying himself immensely; a thin sheen of perspiration was present on his brow.

" It must be tiring using his devil fruit…"

"Law, how much energy do you need to use your devil fruit?" I was concerned, he couldn't have gotten it that long ago, and probably didn't need to use it unless it was an emergency; like right now.

"Shambles." Was my only reply, after he uttered the command the decapitated limbs began to re-arrange them selves. Legs were attached to shoulders, heads to torsos, hands to neck. A frightening scene coming to life out of a twisted nightmare, he did always like scaring people out of their wits without really harming them, well permanently harming them anyways.

The few marines that were left decided to come after me, figuring that I'd be the weaker one of the two. A pair of them charged straight at me, their cutlasses flashing, ducking under one of the swings I stumbled out of the way, I could feel the blade whistle a inch away from cutting a gash across my stomach.

"Hell, I'm not freaking ready for something like this!" You know what they say, learn as you go. Trying to stay calm I ran behind one of them and effectively gave the man a concussion by blunt force trauma via tanto handle.

" Eheh… I didn't think I'd hit him s-"

Shiiiiiiing. Turning around I saw the other marine advancing towards me, picking up speed he broke into a run, "Stay still *Slash!* you won't get *Slash!*away *Slash!* from justice!" This guy wasn't even trying to pull any punches! Luckily for me he had maneuvered into a position where his back was facing the water. Darting to the side and startling him I smashed the back of Kokutans' blade on his wrist, forcing him to drop his sword, and shoved him as hard as I could into the manmade pool of water holding the submarine.

After the first squad of marines was left in shambles (A/N: I made a pun! … I know it's lame…) I cautiously walked towards Law, keeping a large distance from the remaining marines.

"You're tired." It was a statement, not a question. Getting closer to him I saw that he looked a little ragged, the exertion probably was getting to him. Meanwhile a new squadron of marines was forming up in front of us. They just seemed to keep coming, seriously, how many marines were in this base?! This wasn't looking so good; we still needed to delay them for a while yet. I think we had about ten, twelve minutes left to stall for.

"Surrender pirate scum!" A fresh batch of marines arrived, armed to the teeth and ready to lock up the "Trash of the seas."

"Looks like it's my turn, right?" I guess after that my insecurities about hurting someone just went out the window. I still wasn't ready to kill, but I was more than ready to give them a beat down, they tried to slice my guts open!

Waiting for the first marines to dash towards me I began to apply what my instructor taught us. No wasted movements. Using my opponent's momentum against him. A steadily flowing form, never staying completely rooted to one spot. Well at least I tried to apply what my instructor taught me; in reality it was mostly luck and adrenaline than calm skills.

A lone marine bold enough to face me alone swung his cutlass in a wide arc from the left hoping to catch me off guard. Rolling underneath I popped back on my feet, whirled around from the right, nearly giving myself whiplash in the process and sent the hilt of Gekko crashing into the poor guy's temple. " One down and dozens to go, all trying… to send us off… to a dank prison cell… somewhere where we'll never see the light of day again…." Ultimate power ultimately corrupts; a prime example was all the well-intentioned men and women who truly believed that the marines were the symbol of justice. The world government made sure that this was the image they portrayed.

Now the marines were beginning to crowd around, keeping Kokutan and Gekko close to my body I tried to lash out when the weren't expecting it, but I ended up sort of just flailing around with the back of my blades to clear a path towards Law, who was sending scalpels into vulnerable joints and sparingly using his devil fruit powers to cut apart the ones that came a little too close for comfort. Finally getting to him I tried to not slump against him, tired and twitchy me wasn't good to have leaning on you while trying to fight.

"There's no end to them!" They just kept on coming, you'd think a marine base in the Grandline would have this many hands, not a little one off in the North Blue.

Law's comment didn't really lighten the situation, " Do you want to keep count of how many you knock out?"

"Law? Just no. I'm freaking out right now! Your not really helping!"

There were at least a dozen marines clutching bleeding shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knees; and a handful of disembodied limbs attached to the wrong body parts. I was responsible for about five knocked out marines beginning to form goose egg bumps on their heads.

However after that we were being pushed back, making a tactical retreat *cough*running*cough* I turned my head back, checking whether or not marines were closing in on us. Thud! Whirling around to face forwards I nearly slammed into a white and blue clad chest. Stumbling backwards I probably looked ridiculous to anyone watching, backing away I took a little time to size the guy up.

The marine I got a liiiiitle too close to… was different, he wasn't like the horde of marine lackeys that we were being swarmed with. By my guess I'd say he was around forty years old? He cut an imposing figure, his face stern and scarred speaking of experience on the battlefield. Around his shoulders hung a pure white officers coat emblazoned with the kanji "正義 " Justice, hanging by his waist was a saber, handle worn from its constant use.

His rough tone silenced the battlefield, " Hmm? What do we have here? I was told that pirates were in my base, but all I see are brats decades too early to be trying the law."

Brats, the old man called us brats. We were young so I guess the geezer would think of us as such. I still was pretty insulted though, I mean yeah we're teenagers, but we dared to actually come here, beat up some marines, and try to steal a top secret project; I think we deserve at least a little respect.

Damn Law. He doesn't always think before he speaks, even though he acts calm all the time.

" Oi, geezer we're not brats, maybe you should be checking your eyesight, old man." I was pretty much face-palming right there, Law hated being underestimated; this caused us a lot of problems in the past. The head honcho of this base didn't take to kindly to Law calling him a geezer, who would? You're calling them old when he looks barely middle aged, that's worse then calling us brats…

"Gah! I am First Lieutenant James Reyss; I've fought pirates that would make the four of you run for your mothers! I'll give you one last chance to give up this foolish endeavor and come with us quietly." Starting out with indignation, he was demanding we surrender to him! Imagine that, us surrendering. When hell freezes over.

Law and I re-grouped while he was continuing with his demands, patiently waiting to give him our answer.

" Never."

Our good lieutenant's face turned a lovely pallet of red, to purple, to an interesting shade of indigo before launching himself at us with a cry of rage. Drawing his weapon he wildly slashed at us, his saber cutting a deadly arc through the air. I yelped and dove off to the side as Law calmly sidestepped, ending up towering over my sprawled form. Holding out his hand he hauled me up so I was standing besides him again.

"Damn it Law, why are you so coordinated!?" Cue a smirk, albeit a little strained. He was looking as if he was taking a lovely stroll in the park, while I on the other hand looked as if a pack of rabid dogs were hunting me down. Not that far from the truth, the government dog was certainly trying to kill us from the way he was swinging his sword. Nudging me out of the way he and Reyys began to exchange a series of blows, with Reyys cutting wide sweeping swaths while Law weaved between them, darting in-between blows to take a swipe with his scalpels.

He replied to my question as he leapt back from a particularly vicious swing, "I've been fighting for years Aria, I think that it makes sense." A strange expression came across his face, reaching up to his shoulder, taking it away there was a smear of crimson staining his hand. " Seems I need to be more so."

Our Lieutenant looked like he was going to start steaming at the ears, with Law continuing to seemingly not pay attention to the fight. I was creeping around the edge of the battlefield, not really sure how to help in this sort of situation. Waiting for him to try some sort of new tactic.

He charged forwards again, slashing left and right. Not at Law though, no no no! He was barreling towards me. I was standing there frozen, watching a bloodthirsty, and sword wielding marine coming to chop me into bits!

Just as he reached me my mind process speed up, no longer held captive by pure terror and panic, now just reacting on instinct, I sidestepped as he thrust his sword in a vicious jab and swung blindly at his blade, not quite hitting what I hoped for Kokutan bit into his saber's hand guard. With his weapon temporarily out of action I quickly swung Gekko, just barely slicing a thin line across his throat.

"Hell! I nearly killed someone!?" We had defeated him, but that was the scariest thing I've experienced in my life.

"Good work Aria." Law had come up and gleefully placed a scalpel at the base of his throat, allowing me to step away, probably in shock. It was only a couple of seconds but in my mind it felt like hours. Even with a very sharp scalpel at his throat Lieutenant Reyys was a marine hell-bent on bringing as many pirates to "justice" as possible. I was beginning to slink away, until "Aria, would you kindly relieve him of his weapons and hold him still for awhile?"

Damn it.

A little tentatively I swiped Reyys's saber to the ground and jerked his arms around his back in a tight hold.

"Let go of me! You damn pirate scum, I'll make you wish you had been caught by a bounty hunter!" his potty mouth needed to be washed out with soap dozens of times before it would be remotely be clean. Although I could see the tiniest glimmer of cold sweat beginning to form on his brow, his words were that, just words.

I was a little uncomfortable with being this close to the guy who tried to kill me, so I'm pretty relieved that Law activated his devil fruit and motioned for me to back out of his "room". Stalking towards Reyys, Law reached into his pockets and produced a new set of wickedly sharp scalpels, ready for use.

Reyys was visibly sweating now, his eyes beginning to dart from side to side looking for an escape route, but was finding himself planted on the ground in fear of Law's abilities.

"Stop! … You brat, you're getting yourselves into more trouble than you think…" His voice crackled and his tones swooped and dived, a feat that was pretty impressive for a grown man.

His warning wasn't going to stop Law from coming any closer. Hell, it was egging him on.

Slash!

Slash!

Slash!

In quick and concise strokes Law had cut Reyys into three neat pieces: Shoulders and up, torso, and legs; leaving him in a jumbled pile. Law wasn't finished yet. With an uttering of "room" he conjured up a whirlwind, a raging typhoon of body parts and random objects that were surrounding us; and he was the eye of the storm, like a dark conductor instructing an orchestra none of us could see or hear. At the end of his "performance" he built a impressive tower of limbs, scrap metal, broken plywood, and the various weapons the marines had brought with the onto the battlefield. And topping his sculpture was the head and shoulders of First Lieutenant James Reyys, yelling obscenities that would have made a battle hardened veteran cringe. "Sheesh, the old man's cursing is worse than what I've heard the G5 are like … Guess I don't blame him, he just got cut apart by a teenager..."

After that I decided to finally talk, "Law I think you over did it with your devil fruit…" but turning around It looked like he was ready to collapse after the show. Luckily Penguin chose that moment to poke his head out of one of the portholes aboard our sub.

"You guys are alright! We still need a couple minutes to finish, but it should be safe for the two of you to join us in here."

Law was leaning heavily on my shoulder, as we were getting closer to the sub, definitely spent from using his devil fruit so much in one day. Seeing that I was struggling, Penguin dashed out of the sub; jumped its rails and helped me get Law inside. Neve was waiting by the door and took Penguin's place, showing me a room they had found while we were fending off (cutting apart with glee in Law's case) the marines.

Helping a stumbling Law isn't fun; even though I had Neve to carry half of his weight with me, he's basically all lean muscle. Muscle that weighs much more than it should; I helped to carefully get him leaning on the wall while sitting on a cot, allowing him to rest after our battle with the marines.

"… That took more out of me than I thought it would." He's not usually one to rush into things, so this was probably new for him.

"We need to get stronger Captain." This was from Penguin, leaning against the doorframe, Neve peeking over his shoulder.

"Mm, once we pick up Bepo we'll start training while we head to the next island." Poor Bepo, he didn't know much about Penguin and Neve except for what we had told him.

Leaving Law to rest for a bit I left with Penguin and Neve, heading to the helm of the sub. Inside looked confusing unless you knew what you were doing; which I obviously didn't, hence I sort of just stood there awkwardly watching them do their thing. Soon the sub gave off a lurch and through one of the portholes I saw we were beginning to sink beneath the waves, following a tunnel excavated by the marines towards the sea. I didn't notice Law besides me until he gave Penguin directions to where Bepo was most likely waiting.

" To the north shores of the island, we'll find him there."

"Law, you should be resting!" He was just in a room, leaning against a wall to rest; how'd he get in here without me noticing?

"I'm fine Aria, we need to collect Bepo before he gets caught or lost." He was right, we needed to update Bepo on what had happened.

Staying submerged we passed by a plethora of different aquatic species, all sorts of fish, and a couple of large marine mammals darting around us, a whole new world under the surface of the sea.

"You know, here under the waves is really something." I guess I didn't really think that there would be this much life in the cold North blue. Law gave a noncommittal runt as Neve came up to peer through the porthole with me; Penguin was at the helm and therefore not paying attention to the amazing ecosystem around him.

Our trip underwater only lasting about fifteen minutes all spent ogling the breathtaking scenes around us, the way the sun's rays danced and quivered as they mingled into the clear sapphire waves; teeming with the silver silhouettes of endless varieties of fish, the moment we surfaced I half wished that we could have stayed underneath the waves just a few moments more. We ended up right next to a startled, fishing Bepo.

"Captain! Aria, you're back!" he cried, right after climbing sopping wet onto the deck of our sub, he looked relieved that we were back; most likely worrying about us the entire time.

"… Is that a polar bear?" That was Penguin, while I jumped onto the deck to help our soaked friend, when he heard Penguin's comment…cue a dark inky cloud of depression to suddenly form over Bepo, "I'm sorry…" people just didn't expect a bear to be able to talk and act as if they were human, so Bepo's reactions are mostly fueled by the expectation that animals don't talk, and most definitely don't act with emotions.

"Bro, you made him depressed!" Neve had these sparkles in her eyes, after punching Penguin she ran over to Bepo and hugged him, regardless that he was dripping wet.

"Enough of that, we need to move away from any marines for now." Law handed a couple towels to Neve and Bepo before disappearing into the bowels of our submarine, gesturing that we follow.

Laughing I headed inside and started to explore our new home, the others not that far behind. "You know, I think things are beginning to look up for us. Now then… All we need is a name… I'll talk to Law about that later."

-From the shoreline of Ferro-

A pair of binoculars was trained on a group of teenagers standing atop a top-secret, classified submarine that they had stolen from marines' just moments ago.

"Hmph, marines that haven't been to the Grandline really are useless. These kids though, I think we should watch them." A deep voice for someone who's so… vertically challenged, he'd been spying on the group for less than ten minutes, and had already come to a conclusion.

" Corporal! I want you to keep an eye on these gaki, I don't care how just do it."

Rustle, nearby another figure dressed in a generic marine uniform, stepped up besides the spy before snapping into a crisp salute, "What ever you say Captain."

Unfortunately for the "Gaki" not a soul had noticed they were being watched.

A/N: Did you enjoy the redone chapter? My posts most likely will have larger gaps in between because of school, but I'll try to get them out as soon as possible!

Anyways...
