Chapter 6! I know you guys have missed me :) I'm sorry about the long wait, but 21 credits for college is A LOT along with some extracurricular and work on top of it all? You're lucky my brain still functions. Lucky you! Please note: This is only like the third or 4th day of classes. They haven't even had their first weekend yet!

I don't own Harry Potter or it's characters, but I own several people in the fanfic :D

Added note: A HUGE shout out to Jaelah, as she wrote a portion of this chapter. If not for her... well you'd be waiting a lot longer for this. She's also been editing things in it so there aren't as many mistakes.

THIS IS BEING POSTED IN HONOR OF LUPIN'S BIRTHDAY. Although it's kinda late, when I'm posting it, as of right now, it's still his birthday.

It turns out, that our flying wheelchair idea, didn't go so well. I finally snatched it away from Vespera, while she was studying for potions, before our defense class. She was sitting on her bed, and she couldn't chase after me. Erikk and I began tampering with it, and accidentally caused a fire in the common room. No one knew what had caused it, so we had to evacuate. Erikk and I walked out, as did the few other Slytherins that were in there.

Once we were outside, sitting in the hallway, I stood up quickly, "Vespera!" Snape was about to walk into the common room, and I ran up to him, "Vespera is inside sir, we stole her wheelchair and caused the fire."

Snape's eyes opened wide, and he went in there. Minutes passed, and no Snape or Vespera had come back out. Finally, Snape came out, with a few smoke marks on his face. He glared at Erikk and me, "Both of you, in my office now. The rest of you may return inside."

He then swooped towards his office, Erikk and I following him. He slammed the door once we were inside, I asked, "Is Vespera okay?"

He slammed his hands on the table, "I don't know! Your foolish actions could have cost the lives of multiple Slytherin students, including Miss Salazar. I sent her to the Hospital Wing, and both of you will be serving detention for scorching the floor, ruining the carpet, destroying Miss Salazar's wheelchair, and putting the lives of others in risk."

I sighed, "Yes sir."

Erikk nodded, "Yes Professor."

"Now get out, you'll be serving your detentions every night starting at 7:00. I will tell you when it is your last night, but you will have at least 3 weeks of detention," Snape turned, and walked out of the office.

I looked at Erikk, "Well, at least we didn't get expelled?" I grinned, what was life if you didn't get into a little bit of trouble?

Erikk glared at me, "Thanks Jaelah, now we'll be spending all our nights serving detentions."

I shrugged, "They won't be that bad. At least, I hope. I mean, Snape gave them to us, he loves his snakes. We'll probably just be cleaning out cauldrons. But think about all the time we'll get to spend together!"

Erikk shook his head, "I don't know why I let you talk me into this."

"I didn't. You thought of it. It was your brain child! I just did the calculations! If you think about it, you talked me into it." He shook his head, and we walked out the door, that then slammed behind us on it's own.

"I was kidding!"

"No you weren't!"

"Stop yer bickerin! Yer like an old married couple!" Amy came up behind us saying. "Where's V?"

I shook my head, "Magic Flying Wheelchair didn't go so well, she's in the hospital wing for now, and will probably just stay there until after defense, since she has a healing class."

Erikk nudged me, "Hey, speaking of. We should go and check on her seeing as how this was all our fault."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. We should apologize to her anyways seeing as how it was her chair and we almost caused her to die… again."

"I'll come witcha," Amy said perkily. I kind of got the vibe that she really took a liking to Vespera. I didn't think that was too terrible of a thing, it was always nice to have another mastermind.

We ascended the stairs, and as we were, we heard an older Slytherin voice, "Get to class! Or you'll be serving more detentions!"

We sighed and left Amelia, who had a different class than us. We went into Defense, and sat down, late of course, which gave us another night of detention. I began to think that maybe that's all this year was going to be for us. Detentions, detentions, detentions.

During defense, we had mindless droning about Lockhart's boring and most likely made up stories about all of his "achievements." At this rate, we were never going to learn anything about self-defense but everything of useless information about Lockhart. Just great.

I wrote on a piece of parchment, as if I was taking notes, then passed it over to Erikk, "Planning a prank can't hurt anything with our detentions, right?"

"No," he wrote back, "I did not come to Hogwarts to plan pranks."

"Okay, well either way, here's the plan. After we've served all these detentions, we see how well the potato prank works with McGonagall. If it goes well, we do that to Lockhart. If it goes bad, why don't we place a near impossible task upon him, he won't know what to do because of his incompetence." I wrote back quickly on the paper.

He shook his head, "Wouldn't another professor stop us, or help him?"

"Of course not! We weren't born yesterday. We give him a dream spell, probably a potion. Then we air the dream to the Slytherin house. No, to all of the common rooms in the different houses. Lockhart will be ruined in front of the entire school! Just imagine his fan girls catching his bluff!"

"Jaelah, the potato is much more amusing. You don't even understand all the things a potato can do! Or how amusing it is! Plus, a potato ruining his reputation is much more exciting than a potion." The look on Erikk's face as he passed the note, reflected a child's happiness on Christmas morning.

"The thing is, a potato can be easily caught with. It's less likely to catch a dream and thought spell. Plus, we get something out of the dream. Although, a potion is better at not getting caught, and that takes a lot longer. Maybe we can do the prank by mid may, or the beginning of June. It'll be near the end of the school year, but at least we won't have him again next year!"

"Sure Jaelah. Whatever you say. If you make the potion, I'll go along with it. But can we please also do the potato?"

"Fine. We'll do the potato while inside of the dream." I shook my head, wanting to giggle.

"Yes! Quick, pretend you're writing class notes."

I looked up at the board, and saw Lockhart looking at us, as if he knew we weren't actually paying attention. I then looked back at my book, and began writing on the parchment again, "I am writing notes. Some of us can multi-task. Plus, I don't really care how he 'beat' any mythical creature."

Erikk began tapping the desk, and I passed the note back to him, and he began writing, "Why not make his dream be defeating a boggart? Imagine all the fun then." I read the note from afar, and sent him a questioning look, and he continued, "You don't know? They show a person's fear. Simple spell to defeat it though, shouldn't be much of a problem for our 'professor.' Although, a fraud will have a few issues."

"Brilliant Erikk! Vespera can help incorporate the boggart into the potion, I'm sure the Malfoy's will have something of use. They have an abundance of stuff."

"Why would you know how much stuff the Malfoy's have? How are you and Vespera close anyways?"

"I don't know, we kind of told each other off the first time we met, by making a bunch of assumptions about each other. I guess we did the same thing the second time... maybe the third. Maybe when Snape told her she couldn't be in Slytherin? Ask her."

"Want to go to the infirmary after class to see her, and start filling her in on the plan?"

"Sure, let's do it." I smiled at him. I liked this boy a lot, although he probably couldn't tell it.

"What's with that face?" He wrote with a confused look on his face.

Oh snap. I was making a weird face because I was thinking about us. "It's nothing." I wrote, when Lockhart then dismissed us.

"You're insane, Jaelah," Erikk then said out loud while laughing.

I shoved my parchment back into my bag, along with the book for the day, then began to leave with Erikk, "Miss Phantomhive, if you'll stay after."

I sighed, "I'll meet you in front of the Hospital Wing in a few minutes?" Erikk nodded, then left the room. "Yes Professor?" I said sarcastically, almost, as I approached Lockhart.

"I just wanted to inform you that you will be spending your detentions with me. I hope you'll be prepared to help answer all my fan mail. Don't be late, and next class, don't pass notes during lecture. You may just miss something important."

I nodded, "Sorry Professor. I'll be here at 7." I then turned around and left, and ran for the hospital wing, to meet with Erikk.

"Whoa. Slow down there." I felt hands grab my shoulders.

"Sorry, I was trying to catch up with you." I smiled at Erikk.

"Well, what are we waiting for, let's get in there." He opened the door, and held it for me.

I half walked, half ran into the Hospital Wing, yelling, "VESPERA!" I quickly quieted down to a whisper when Madam Pomfrey gave me a dirty look. "You okay?"

She nodded, "I'm fine, I was just doing a lesson with Madam Pomfrey, and was about to head back. Luckily, they repaired my chair without too many difficulties. Next time though, at least experiment without my chair first, make sure it won't blow up or anything." She laughed at me.

"I can't promise but we have a new thing to start experimenting with."

"Already? How many detentions did you guys accumulate because of the dorm fire?" Vespera asked, as we were leaving.

"Only a few weeks, for now. With Lockhart. Oh I don't know how I'm going to deal with it! He's miserable and dreadfully full of himself." I complained, because let's face it, he was the worst defense teacher in history.

As that had just come out of my mouth, and the doors closed, Erikk burst out, as loud as he possibly could, "POTATO ROCKET!" Then took off towards the elevator that we would end up taking to get back down to the dorms.

Vespera gave me a funny look, and we then followed Erikk to the elevator, and descended down into the dungeons.

As we all picked at each other, and told of the pranks we had planned, I couldn't help but think that these were the people I had chosen to be friends with, and they were likely the ones I would spend the rest of my life with.

END OF CHAPTER 6!

I'm sorry it took so long, and I hope you guys enjoyed it. I'm on Spring break, so the goal is to get a few more chapters out while I'm home.
