Hi all

This chapter starts a year after Merlin was caught with the druid so they are 10, fourteen and fifteen

The second part is about the druid attack which was mention in a helm of a new age. This is important for me to write because it something g which will effect Arthur and Merlin a lot. Merlin is eleven, Arthur is fifteen and just become a knight and Morgana is sixteen.

Chapter 7 – The attacks on the druid

Uther had gone for a ride with Arthur, Morgana and Merlin. It was rare time they spend together out of the castle. Next year Arthur was going to become a knight for real. And Arthurs can't wait. Uther watch all three of them as they mess about beside the lark.

Uther thought about all three of them. Arthur was a good leader and followed the knights code and the rules of Camelot. Uther could see him become a fine king. The was the one who did what he was told. Morgana was more outspoken and like to challenge everything Uther did. And wasn't afraid to tell Uther what she really was thinking. But she play her part well. Merlin despite being four year younger than Arthur and Five years younger than Morgana was the smarter of both of them. Merlin had a thirst for knowledge and spend half his time reading. But what worry Uther the most what that Merlin still snuck out quite a bit. But only into the lower town.

There was a loud slash and Uther saw Arthur and Merlin had both fallen into the lark and Morgana laughing at the two of them coming out of the lake dripping wet. And then Arthur pushed Morgana in. Deciding that bring the three nobles back to Camelot dripping wet was bad enough he stop them them before Morgana killed Arthur. Because that would look worst.

Merlin was now Eleven years old. And staring to lost control of his magic. He practicing moving thing about and making light but some time it had a mind of it own. Merlin lie and told Elyan the vase broke because of the wind. But by now Elyan knew Merlin well enough to know when he was lying.

To day Elyan was ill and Merlin was bored so he went to talk to the dragon. He try to visit at lest once a week but these day he'll go down there more and more since Arthur now had knight duties to do and Morgana was in a bad mood most of the time because of her nightmares.

"Can you tell me my destiny now?" Merlin asked the dragon. Merlin wasn't backing now he wanted to know it was he right to known, He was the one born with magic living with an uncle who hated so much he would lose his head if he was ever caught.

"Not yet young warlock" said the dragon laughing

Merlin played with his necklace looking at the dragon at hung around his neck all the time "You told me you will tell me"

"You not old enough yet young warlock" said the dragon

"But it been ages" moaned Merlin

Dragon laughed again "Only five years. When you get to my age fives years doesn't seem that look at all"

Merlin didn't see the point in arguing. He couldn't make the dragon tell them anything. "I have to go or I'll be missed" and with that Merlin leaved. He walked down the corridor when he saw Arthur walking carrying a sword. Merlin made his way over to him "What are you doing?"

"I am leading a patrol" said Arthur proudly

"With the other knight?"

"Of cause who else?" asked Arthur "Go and play with your friends and leave me alone" The other knights come up to get ready "Merlin, go away"

Merlin frowned Arthur acted arrogant with the other knights "I went on patrol once before"

"That was a once off" said Arthur "Off you go bug Morgana or Father or read one of your books or something"

Merlin was getting fed up with Arthur "Morgana gone to her fathers grave and I don't see why I should read. Your the one who behind on your studying. Plus Uncle is in a meeting with Lord Bernard and I don't want nothing to do with him ever again!"

"We have to go sire" said go of the knights

"Merlin" Arthur said undertone "I know you don't like him but show him some respect won't you? He's a friend of Camelot and he'll help us in our time of need " said Arthur then ruffle Merlin's hair "Now go away" Arthur jump onto his horse riding off leaving Merlin alone in the courtyard.

Merlin walked about aimlessly Arthur was off being a knight, Morgana wad away with Gwen and Elyan was ill. And Uther was in a meeting with some lords including Lord Bernard. Merlin never said why he didn't like him that much but it seem only Morgana remember Merlin's black eye all those years ago. Merlin took his clock from his chambers and snaked out of his chambers and once again into the woods.

Merlin was glad to be in the woods again and he went deeper and deeper than he had been before. Merlin loved it. It was peaceful and feel safe.

"What are you doing here Emrys?" Merlin turn to see the druid that got him into trouble a couple of years ago. Merlin wasn't ague with him after all he did warn him it wasn't safe.

"I was walking" Said Merlin in his head

"Come with me Emrys, you can join us for some food"

Merlin did need to think that hard about it. He didn't want to be in Camelot at the moment "yes please if it's no trouble"

The Druid smiled warmly "No trouble at all"

Merlin and the druid walked into the druid camp. Merlin had a good time the food was good and he enjoyed the company. The druid were wise and clever they listen to Merlin talk about the dragon not telling him his destiny. And they told him that he will know when the time is right. Unlike the dragon it was in a less annoying way. But in the plus side they told them to practice twice a day to help control his magic. As they explain the lack of lose will make it more difficult.

After some time Merlin had to go "Can I come back? I like it here and I can be myself. I don't have to pretend"

"Of course Emrys" said the druid who invited Merlin in the first place.

"Thank you" said Merlin "When I'm older I'll do my best to make sure my uncle won't get you"

"I know you will" said the druid specking "off you go now"

Merlin stared to walk away "Thanks for everything" he called and start making his way back. He hadn't gone far when he hear horses and the voice of knight. Then he hear shouting and screaming. Both normally and in his head. He ran back to see the patrol chopping down the druids were they stood. Including the one Merlin talked to the most and children even younger than him. Merlin stood they in shook then he saw Arthur in standing in the middle of it all. Something clicked in Merlin head. Arthur wasn't killing them but he was leading the patrol and the other knight wouldn't of attack not with out Arthur order. The screaming in Merlin head didn't stop he could hear it. "ARTHUR" he yelled

Arthur was snapped out of his thought and turn to see who yelled his name and saw Merlin. Merlin was very pale and his hands were shaking covering his ears his eyes big as plates. Arthur rust over to Merlin. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? DID YOU FOLLOW US" Arthur realised that they was no way Merlin could follow them on foot which meant Merlin was already in the woods... and might of been with the druids. Decide he didn't want to know he carry on yelling at Merlin. He was stress he regretted the order since he made it and Merlin made the whole thing worst. "YOU IDIOT YOU ARE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO THE WOOD ON YOUR OWN" Merlin in some kind of deep shook didn't seem to listen to what Arthur said. Arthur called one of the older knights Sir Thomas to take Merlin back to Camelot and to his chambers. Once they were gone Arthur looked around him and he had one thought and one thought only " What have I done"

Uther was pleased when he hear bout the druids. Arthur had told him Merlin followed the patrol and saw the whole thing. Uther was sure Merlin would be fine soon.

Gaius was worried about Merlin who was still shaking a bit. But put it down to shook. Morgana understood what Merlin was feeling. She sat next to Merlin on his bed and gave his a hug. She couldn't see why Uther hated so much. And Arthur at that matter. If Merlin who Father was killed by magic could see some goodness init couldn't they. Morgana hugged Merlin until the younger boy fell asleep. Morgana laid him down hoping that he doesn't get nightmares about this. She was going to give Arthur Pendragon a piece of her mind.

Arthur was in his chamber looking at a stroll not reading it. His chamber burst open and Morgana marched in "You horrid murder Arthur Pendragon" Morgana hit Arthur on the chest "How could you. What did they do to you?"

"Morgana" said Arthur quietly

"I hope you rot in hell for what you did" said Morgana "And stay away from Merlin, you already causing him to breakdown. You selfish out trout" Morgana punched Arthur one more time before slamming Arthur door closed

It was early evening and Arthur went to see Merlin. He open the door to see if Merlin was wake as he was asleep a lot of the afternoon. Merlin was wake on the end of his bed hugging his keens like he did when Uther sent him in to the dungeons. Merlin turn to see who come in and turn his head back when he saw it wad Arthur.

"I told my father you followed me" said Arthur. Merlin didn't answer.

Arthur stood in fort of Merlin "What's gotten into you?"

"You killed them. You killed them they did nothing wrong" said Merlin wiping his tears away "You kill them for not reason. Children. You're a monster"

Arthur did regret making the order but he didn't kill them. But he did give the order and in Merlin's books that was just as bad "They practice Magic, Merlin. Magic. We are in Camelot remembered and mgic is outlawed. Pure they druids. And father told you all about them"

Arthur action that and his word now were rolling in Merlin head. He though Arthur was different from Uther. That he might understand. He realised Arthur could never find out who he really was he was. Arthur carried on talking "I don't see why you care. It's time you see Merlin magic is evil. It's the reason why your father is dead."

"I hate you" Merlin said it was quite but Arthur hear it as loud as thunder.

...Merlin and Arthur big argument. But they are young and like most people they talk before they think. This was hard to write so I hope it ended up okay. So please let me know if this chapter is alright

So I got one more chapter before I go more with the episodes. Next chapter is a year before the start of series/season 1

Ps had a random Merlin dream last night and it was pretty cool. Well of some reason it started as a games of football in a sports hall with my middle brother. Then it was Morgana killing his other witch with poison because she was so strong. Merlin and Gwaine were checking a abandon twenty century house. But not up stairs (where Morgana is) Anyway Merlin and Gwaine meet Morgana who tells Merlin that she won't kill him she'll get Arthur to do that (I think that was quite cool) Anyway Merlin and Gwaine said they have to tell Arthur what Morgana planning but they get crash around a funfair by there human/monsters people who nearly kill Merlin (because Gwaine ran one run and Merlin ran the other) Anyway Arthur saves the day and ask "what the hell is going on here?" Then Merlin, Arthur and the knights go in to a cave to eat a birthday cake. Merlin didn't tell Arthur about Morgana.

I had another Merlin dream about a year ago and all I can remember about that was Arthur and Gwen rescue old Merlin from a basement of a abandon house (creepy places) Then Arthur and Gwen and younger Merlin got on to a bus. Meet some strange person and had to go and fine someone.
