Piper didn't usually take naps, but she was exhausted with all the Roman training she was doing. In order for Jason to go back to Camp Half-Blood he had to tie up some loose ends. They had a less than a week left at the Roman camp.

She had just closed her eyes when her cell phone vibrated. She moaned and rolled over to check who was bothering her. Annabeth. Her eyes scanned the message and she paled.

In a second she had dialed the number. It went to voicemail. She dialed again and again.

She sighed and dialed Nico's number.

He picked up.

"I just got the message. What's this about going back to camp?"

"Chaos came to visit Annabeth. He confirmed it. The camps are in danger. We have to help them. The bad guys can't be defeated just by us. It's all or nothing."

Piper closed her eyes. It looked her week just got more hectic.

"I'll be there in a week. How is she taking it?"

"She locked herself and the girls in her room."

"That bad?"

"When she told us, it was like she wasn't there. She just shut down."

"She may be our leader but she's a girl. The last thing she wants to do is to go back to the place that was once her home and has bad memories for her."

"Percy really screwed her up."

"He did. Look I'll see you soon. Don't forget to let everyone know. Are we staying in cabins or tents?"

"Both. And Cars. Basically anywhere we can."

"Okay. How do you plan on getting there?"

"Car, buses, motorcycle, Pegasus, shadow travel, water animal. Anything but flying."

"Okay. See you soon. Give my love to everyone."

Piper hung up and fell back onto her pillow. She was so screwed. She had no idea what she was thinking when she agreed to be Chaos' peace person. She didn't tell anyone. Not even Jason knew about her double role.

Piper sighed and got out of bed. Shoving on her shoes, she left to find Reyna. Reyna was also a member of Chaos.

She found Reyna practicing on a dummy. Piper drew her dagger and ran to defend the strike. The two sparred for a while before they stopped. Piper grabbed Reyna's wrist and tapped it. Reyna's eyes widen and she nodded. Both girls stood up and went for a walk.

"Annabeth texted me. Meeting at Camp Half-Blood. Chaos' orders."

Reyna nodded. "I have to go I guess."

"You are the Roman leader. I'm the peacemaker. We both have to attend. Besides Annabeth needs us."

"I'll tell Octavian that I'm going with you to visit my family. He will let me go."

"If not, I will charmspeak him."

Reyna laughed as she pictured the scene. Both girls had become good friends.

Reyna rubbed a spot on her shoulder.

"Is yours burning too?"

Piper shook her head and then gasped. Her hand flew to her side. Both girls looked at each other.

Piper reached for Reyna's shirt. Pushing the shoulder sleeve away, her eyes widen at the tattoo that was glowing green.

"It's glowing!"

She pulled her shirt upward and Reyna saw the same thing happening to Piper's tattoo.

"Something big is going to happen."

Both girls looked at each other. If there were any doubt about attending the meeting, there were none. Chaos told them that when there was big trouble, they would burn. ' Think of the Death Eater's mark' Chaos joked.

Members of Chaos that were between the ages of 15 and up were required to get a tattoo, if they wanted to be part of the team. They could be found anywhere on the body.

Reyna had hers on her shoulder blade. Piper's was on the side of her rib cage, where it was hidden by a bra strap of bikini strap. Katie's was on her ankle. Nico had his on the shoulder. Faye had hers on her lower back. Annabeth had hers on her hip. Alex had hers on her wrist.

Only Annabeth and Chaos could cause the mark to glow. Piper figured it was to let everyone know that something was going to happen so they needed to be on their toes.

She and Reyna began making plans for their leaving and going back to camp.

"Why do you have to go?" Leo whined. Jason nodded.

Piper bit her lip. She hated lying to them, but they wouldn't understand. Jason was loyal to his sister and Leo was loyal to Jason.

"I told you Reyna and I want some girl time. I told her we will go shopping in New York. We can't do that with you guys. You would get bored."

The boys nodded. That was true. Piper sighed.

Leo went off to do whatever he does. Jason grabbed her hand and they went for a walk along the beach. Piper enjoyed their free time. They didn't get any since they were both really busy.

Jason grabbed his girlfriend's hand and smiled. He enjoyed the free time they so rarely had, so he tried to take advantage of it whenever he could.

He could tell that something was bothering her.

"Pipes?"

"Do you ever think of Annabeth?"

Jason frowned. "Annabeth?"

"Yeah. Do you think that maybe we don't know the whole story?"

"Pipes. Percy said that Annabeth was keeping secrets. That she cheated on him."

"I don't believe it."

"I don't know what to believe."

Piper pulled away and looked at him in the eyes.

"Piper? Is there something you need to tell me?"

"Promise me something? Promise me that you won't be mad when I tell you."

"I promises."

"I can't tell you everything but I know where Annabeth is."

Jason stared at his girlfriend. Pieces began to fit together.

"You are going to see her."

Piper nodded. Jason turned away.

"I need time to think Piper."

Piper watched him walk away and held back tears.

She found Reyna and asked if her if she wanted to leave earlier. Reyna nodded.

They left that night.

The next morning, Jason decided to find Piper. He had walked away because he was struggling. When he found out about Annabeth's cheating he was hurt. Annabeth was someone he admired, and he was upset that she hurt Percy.

Finding out that they there may be more to their story made him think.

He found Leo who was quiet.

"Where's Pipes?"

"She and Reyna left last night."

Jason felt his heart drop. He knew that there was no way Octavian would let him leave early.

He also knew Piper would never forgive him if he told anyone about what she knew. He stared at the sky knowing that Piper and Reyna were heading to New York. In five days he would find see Piper again.

Piper and Reyna arrived in New York four days later. They checked into an inn. Piper texted Annabeth who told her that she would be there in two days. But that Nico, Alex, and Anastasia were there.

They head to Anastasia's and drop off their stuff. They will be staying with her until they can get to camp.

Next, they head to Percy's school. Anastasia works there as the history teacher. They waited until the entire students were gone. She was very happy to see them. She pumped them for information. They couldn't tell her much because they didn't know much.

When they got home Alex stopped by with some papers. They would debrief the girls so they knew what was going to happen. She told them that Nico was shadow traveling like crazy. Since many of the team had to come, they were using all methods possible- Pegasus, boats, planes, cars, trains, buses, hippocampus, shadow traveling.

Everyone needed to be in New York by tomorrow. They were planning to go to camp in two days. Of course Annabeth would make a grand entrance.

Piper's eyes scanned the papers that night. Her jobs was complicated than usual. It wasn't just random people. It was people they knew, people they had a history with. Piper's eyes landed on something.

Reyna turned to look at her friend.

"Is something wrong?"

"Our lives got harder. We are to call Annabeth General. She doesn't want anyone to know who she is. She's plans to go in incognito."

Reyna laughed. "Pipes. We are demi-gods. When has our life ever been easy?"

Piper nodded and turned off the light. She needed her sleep. The next few days would be crazy.
