First of all before I begin this chapter I would like to answer some reviews

Tykronos: If you're talking about why Gasper isn't present and why the three factions still had the meeting about the alliance, well it's because I have future plans for Gasper so I still needed him to be locked up. This is a FANFICTION after all.

ClyxicRyse: The reason why Kaigo wanted to join is that he wanted to get stronger. That's why he asked what a devil could do that a Nekomata couldn't. Also, it's not like by joining Rias' peerage it would make it harder for him to kill her.

And also I would like to thank darth56 for always leaving a positive review it always keeps me motivated to update regularly.

Without further ado here is chapter 6!

Kuoh Academy Koneko's POV.

As our homeroom teacher walked in I knew exactly what he was going to say. Probably something along the line of Ok class settle down. I know it may seem a bit unusual but we have a new transfer student. Right on cue the teacher showed up and addressed the class.

"Ok class settle down. I know it may seem unusual but we have a new transfer student," I chuckled before he added more information, "now if you would introduce yourself to the class," the homeroom teacher looked towards the door and signalled Kaigo to come in.

The wind just happened to be blowing in the opposite direction where Kaigo was coming from, causing his hair to loosely sway across his eyes. Despite his stern look on his face, I knew he was sweating bullets on the inside. He was holding his bag in one hand and his jacket was hoisted around his shoulder. So all he was wearing was a short sleeved school shirt.

As he firmly but stiffly walked in front of the teacher's desk he stuttered as he introduced himself.

"H-hello everyone my n-name is K-Kaigo, I will be your n-new classmate from now on so please treat me well!"

Everyone went into a fit and started yelling. The girls of the class began to fawn over his handsome looks and his shyness, this did make me a bit mad, but that was quickly subsided as I knew Kaigo wouldn't catch on. The boys began to maliciously chat about his muscular appearance and his outstanding height.

With all this fuss going on, I simply laughed and directed a heartwarming smile to Kaigo while communicating telepathically.

Loosen up Kaigo, this is a school not a trial in court y'know.

Yeah… I know, Kaigo replied while rubbing the back of his head.

"Settle down class, please remain seated!" The home room teacher half yelled. "Now Kaigo please take a seat next to Koneko,"

And with those instructions, Kaigo sheepishly walked over and sat down. With the introduction out of the way lessons 1 & 2 began.

Once the school bell rang signalling the end of the lecture and the beginning of break everyone crowded around Kaigo in a blink of an eye. Bombarding him with questions.

"Hey, how come you're so tall yet so muscular?"

"Which school did you come?"

Why'd you transfer in the middle of the second semester?"

Judging by Kaigo's expression, it seemed that he was not enjoying his situation, so I took the liberality to bail him out and because I was getting a little infuriated.

"Hey, Kaigo, can you come with me for a second I have to show you something," I said while standing up and turning my head towards him.

"Sure thing Koneko, let me pack up my books," the black haired boy said.

As soon as Kaigo packed up we left and I began to lead him to the occult clubroom.

"Hey, Koneko do you know where the gym office is?" Kaigo questioned.

"Yeah, it's in the English block, why?" I replied in a monotone voice.

"I need to borrow a gym uniform for my lessons today," he replied.

"Y'know I could just summon you a gym uniform right?" I retorted with annoyance in my voice.

"Yeah I know but I can't rely on you forever now can I?" Kaigo stated all carefree.

"I want you to rely on me…" I quietly mumbled.

"What'd you say?" Kaigo inquired.

"N-nothing!" I exclaimed.

Kaigo you need to play your cards better.

And with that remark from Hans, I led the way and Kaigo followed. We didn't converse in any more conversations. My cheeks were definitely flushed red and when I peered behind to check if Kaigo was still following I noticed a slight tinge of red embedded in his cheeks too.

Once we reached the entrance to the club room, Kaigo decided to break the ice by asking "So what is this place?" to which I answered "It the occult club room on the outside, but our base of operations on the inside."

We both entered and were greeted with an empty room.

"Weird, I thought that at least someone would be here," I commented.

"Do you think it's one of Rias' schemes to get rid of me?" Kaigo stupidly questioned.

"Doubt it, Rias wouldn't be so quick to try again after a recent failed attempt," I flatly said, "anyway be sure to come here after school, Rias has detected a stray devil and she wants you to see how we operate as a team."

"So, I don't get to fight," he said half whining, "Not unless we can't handle ourselves," I replied.

I peered over at the clock and saw that we only had 5 minutes until gym class started. So I began to walk out of the occult research room.

"Where are you going?" Kaigo asked.

"To gym class," I replied.

"Wait you have gym class as well!" Kaigo exclaimed.

"Rias has done some further tweaking so we both have the exact same lessons," I said rather bluntly.

"Oh, that rather convenient then, if I ever forget what lesson I have I could always rely on you to tell me!" Kaigo yet again said all carefree.

"Then why don't you rely on me to summon up a gym uniform?… that way you won't be late…" I yet again mumbled.

"What did you say, Koneko?" Kaigo questioned.

"N-nothing!" I yelled.

Jeez Kaigo, you really need to play your cards correctly.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT!

Kaigo's POV

As I entered the gym office, I was about to ask for a spare gym uniform, however, I was instantly cut off when one of the teachers called out for me.

"Hey, Kaigo! I've been meaning to talk to you," One of the P.E teachers said while standing up.

"Why me? Like I mean it's only my first day here," I questioned.

"Well all the teachers received an email of your submission to this school, we get it for every transfer student that comes to Kuoh Academy," the bearded man replied rather swiftly, "anyways, while skimming over it, I noticed that it stated that you used to play rugby for your elementary school, so I was wondering if you would like to join Kuoh's rugby team."

HOW THE FUCK, DID RIAS KNOW THAT I USED TO PLAY RUGBY.

I must admit, she is very observant.

"Sure, why not!" I replied cheerfully, "So when does training start?"

"Tomorrow after school think you can make it?" the teacher questioned.

"Sure thing!" I cheered, "So, do you have a spare PE kit I could borrow, I didn't know that I had gym on the first day of school,"

"Sure thing, just wait one sec," he said while turning around and reaching for a box, "here you go!"

"Thanks, sir!" I said while turning.

"Please, just call me Mr Currys."

School field

Once we were changed and on the school field, our teacher came and ordered us to line up, to my surprise it was Mr Currys!

"ALL RIGHT SETTLE DOWN NOW OR YOU'LL ALL BE DOING LAPS AROUND THE FIELD'S OUTSKIRTS!" Mr Currys exclaimed.

Or maybe it wasn't 's, he seemed so different a moment ago, I guess he despises people talking out of line.

"Today we will be focusing on your athletic ability, to do this I've devised a circuit. You will all pair up and will be given a number from 1-7. If your pair is given a 1 then they will head over to the 80m sprint, a two 2 would be the triple jump, a 3 would be long jump, a 4 would be high jump, a 5 would be 400m, 6 would be shot put and a 7 would be 100m hurdles. YOU HAVE 10 SECONDS TO PAIR UP!" Mr Curry's concluded.

With those instructions, I looked at Koneko on impulse and she looked at me. WIth that, we both nodded and walked towards each other. Once I met Koneko, she asked me something with a smirk.

"Hey Kaigo, since we both know this will be a walk in a park for both of us, how 'bout we spice it up a bit?"

"How so?" I asked.

"With each event, whoever gains a better score will be given a point, at the end of the circuit, whoever has the least points will treat the winner to dinner," Koneko said with a very positive expression.

"Kay, you're on!" I said with determination in my voice, however, once we lined up to receive our number I realised my blunder…

SHIT! I just agreed to another date!

You sure did Kaigo, Koneko said telepathically.

Why can't you just ask me normally?

'Cause you'll probably say no out of embarrassment and its more fun this way, Koneko teased.

We were given a two, so we both headed over to triple jump, since the boys had to perform at the same time , then the girls. This put me at a disadvantage since I had no clue how to perform any of the jumping events. I assumed triple jump was to jump three times and on the third, jump into the sand pit. I was apparently right because I wasn't fouled, but I achieved a minuscule score of 1 m 31 cm. Koneko obviously knew the proper technique and she was just as if not even more athletic as I am so it was no surprise when she smashed me with a score of 4 m 79cm.

Next was the long jump. This had no technique involved so I thought that I would be victorious granted my longer legs, once I jumped I had proven myself correct as I attain a score of 7m 35 cm. However, once Koneko jumped I was shocked at how far she made it, 7m 97 cm. THAT WAS INSANE. Well, I guess she is lighter than me.

Next was high jump, again this was an event I stood no chance against because this was all about technique. A kept straddling over the bar until I met my match of 1 m 45 cm. Once it was Koneko's turn she soared over the bar and reached 1m 75 cm! My jaw dropped to the ground at that point. Not only did she smash my score again, but that score was even more insane than her long jump. Like I mean how could someone so small reach such heights.

"3 to nothing, better step up your game Kaigo," Koneko remarked with a flat monotone voice.

That comment made my motivation spike up after being crushed three times in a row. I had to make a comeback, and now that all the tricky events were out of the way it just left running and throwin'.

As I lined up for the 400m race I thought to myself for a moment.

Koneko probably knows a technique that will again assure victory for her, so I'll just have to forget about pace and pelt it towards the end.

I did just that and sprinted the entire way, I was exhausted at the end, but I didn't show it. I had achieved a time of 32.42 seconds. Koneko seemed shocked by this but she didn't let it shake up her blank expression. Once she completed the 400m she had achieved a time of 40.98 seconds. I guess she wanted to save her strength for the other events.

For shot put, I managed to spot how it was performed, it looked like the ball had to come from the neck and a push, not a throw. I did just that and the ball nearly hit the other side of the sand pit! This gave me a score of 10 m 56 cm. Judging by Koneko's reaction and expression it looked like she already admitted defeat. Once, it was her turn to throw she didn't put much power into it but her technique compensated for the lack of power as Koneko attained a distance of 8 m 35 cm.

I hadn't noticed this until now, but throughout the entirety of the circuit, Koneko had an expression that yelled I'm gonna win this! I guess that what I liked about her. Koneko is full of determination yet so much care, like when she comforted me when my hand was twitching or when she fixed my tattered uniform.

100m hurdles would have a clear victory. Weather there was any technique or not I would come out on top as I had a height advantage. After the race, I achieved a time of 15.72 seconds. Koneko seemed to just jog through the whole 100m attaining a time of 20.99 seconds. I guess she's dead set on winning the 80m.

As I crouched down in the sprint start position I reminded myself what needed to be done to attain the best time possible.

Okay Kaigo, just like back in the days, hold your breath, long strides and a straight ba-

Hey Kaigo, if you beat me on this I'll give you a kiss… Koneko flirtatiously stated.

And with those words my face flushed red and vulgar images began to invade my mind, this caused me to not only start one second late but to do the exact opposite of what I had just recited! This resulted in an appalling time of 10.32 seconds.

As the girls finished their race I watched in sorrow as Koneko skipped towards me with joy in her every step.

"Hey Kaigooo! guess what time I got," Koneko cheered as she gave me heartwarming smile.

"Let me guess something along the lines of… 'quicker than my time'" I said bluntly.

"That's riiiight! Looks like you have to treat me dinner!" She cheered with glee in her tone.

"Alright I lost, so what time is our date then?" I questioned with annoyance in my voice.

"Hey, you said not me," Koneko teased "Ummm, let's go out straight after we kill the stray demon!"

"Great, so I won't be able to change" I retorted.

"Don't worry, I'll just summon you up some clothes," Konenko said.

"I don't think I've ever been so happy and so annoyed at the same time," I stated

And with that comment, our lesson came to a close and we continued the day like normal students. Once the day was finished we headed to the occult research club house and were greeted by Rias and Akeno.

"Ah, glad to see that you've both arrived," Rias addressed us casually.

"Where's Issei and the others?" I inquired.

"They're on the way, please take a seat," Akeno replied in her usual tone.

Koneko and I sat down on the sofas next to each other. She started to chow down on some biscuits, while I decided to take a better look of the room. There was nothing out of the ordinary besides this suspicious passage to the left of Rias' desk so I decided to ask what was beyond it.

"Hey Rias, what's beyond that passageway?" I asked

"It's where the bishop is locked up," the crimson haired lady quickly answered.

"Why don't you release him?" I questioned.

"He doesn't want to come out," Rias swiftly replied.

Hey Hans, do you reckon I could break the lock with sage power?

Yes with my guidance but, why?

I just get this feeling that Rias is straight up lying about the bishop.

Kay… when do you plan to release him?

Probably when Rias is out of town.

A knock on the door snapped me back into reality. As Rias signalled the Issei, Kiba, Asia and Xenovia to come in she stood up and announced to everyone.

"Alright let's go kill a stray, Kaigo I want you to stay on the sidelines and watch how we operate, okay?"

"Ok," I replied.

Once everyone gathered around the pentagram that was embedded on the floor it glowed red and we were teleported to what seemed to be an old abandoned church. We all entered and heard a malicious chuckle and a voice remarked.

"My my, it seems several bugs have flown into my home, no matter I'll just wipe them out!"

WIth that remark a revolting figure had emerged from behind the pillar, its torso and head were human, however below that was an abomination of corpses merged together, as well as monstrous jaws that were big enough to eat a whole shark in one bite.

"If you were wondering Kaigo, this is what happens to a stray that eats other devils," Rias said very calmly "Alright everyone, MOVE OUT!"

First of all, Koneko slowly approached the stray and got devoured… nope, it seems like she did that on purpose to grip its jaws and send it spiralling towards the wall. While it was dazed, Kiba and Xenovia sliced it up simultaneously. After, they let it be as a hand flew off and appeared behind Rias. Issei spotted this and took care of it instantly using his dragon claw. At that point Akeno flew into the sky and zapped it, causing the stray to pass away.

Ok, so the rooks engage first and attempt to leave it to expose for the knights to slash the enemy up weakening it for the queen to finish it off. The pawn can either help with the attack with its promotion, or defend the king, and I'm guessing that the bishop provides ranged support.

"Alright everyone let's go back home!" Rias cheered as everyone crowded around her.

"It's such a shame that a pair of big boobs had to pass away," Issei claimed with a somewhat sad tone in his voice.

As soon as we appeared in the occult club room. Koneko dragged me out and summoned up some casual clothes.

"Jeez, we just left without saying anything y'know," I said while claiming the clothes.

"Yeah, but I'm just so excited!" the white kitten stated before jumping into my arms and embracing me.

"Yeah I guess I'm kinda excited too,"
