If I told you what I was,
Would you turn your back on me?
And if I seem dangerous,
Would you be scared?
I get the feeling just because,
Everything I touch isn't dark enough
If this problem lies in me

Nico's P.O.V.

Upon awakening, Nico was immediately given the news of their predicament. Of course he was now stuck in the past because of a dark cursed time turner that broke without being destroyed properly. It was just his luck. Will was always trying to make Nico be more optimistic and cheerful and Nico subconsciously smiled at the memory of Will scolding him for not being "sunshiney enough".

"So we're going to eat and then see Dumbledore to discuss what we should do while we wait?" Will's question interrupted Nico's somewhat sweet thought.

"Yeah. We should probably get going before all of the food disappears. I'm starving!" Jack answered while jumping out of bed and grabbing his staff which miracously made the journey all in one piece. It then shrank to the size of an average wand. Thankfully, when they went to Hogwarts last year they were able to turn Jack's staff into a wand and add more magic to it, which made it easier for him to carry it around without having to answer too many questions and receive strange looks.

Nico took a good look around the hospital wing and took note of the slight changes of the large room. Everything seemed newer, and there a little less beds than in the future. Other than that, everything pretty much looked the same, and as the four stepped out of the hospital wing and made their way to the great hall, (Hiro left Baymax in the hospital for the time being as to not draw attention) they noticed how the castle hadn't changed one bit. Everything down to the doors and torches appeared to be the same as they were in the future. It was at least a little reassuring to Nico. He didn't want to have to adjust too greatly to the past.

Soon the quartet entered the great hall where they automatically made their way to the Gryffindor table. There, the four boys who Hiro said visited him and Will last night were sitting at the table, their heads close together as if discussing some secret. Will decided to lead them to the mischevious boys' direction to talk to them. Nico was the first to sit down, seating himself next to a boy with messy black hair and glasses. Not noticing the newcomers before, the four boys jumped in their seats. The boy with messy hair was the first to recover and speak.

"Oh hey there. You guys were the ones who fell on my friend Sirius. I already met you two so tell me your names," James said casually as if they all didn't just act like a deer caught in the headlights. Nico vaguely wondered why they were all so jumpy, but he turned his attention to Jack who started to introduce himself.

"I'm Jack, and this is Nico," he replied, pausing to allow Nico to give the group a small wave. Nico could sense his boyfriend watching him out of the corner of his eye as he was probably mentally urging Nico to act more outgoing and friendly. Ha, like that was going to happen so soon.

The boys didn't notice Nico and Will's silent conversation and then proceeded to introduce themselves. "I'm Remus, this is Peter, that's Sirius, and he's James." The boy with sandy blonde hair said. Each of the boys gave a wave when their names was mentioned.

"Nice to meet you," Nico politely said, glancing up to see Dumbledore talking to another man up at the teacher's table. "I don't mean to be rude or anything but we have to eat quickly so we can meet up with Dumbledore."

"I've never seen you guys around before, what house are you guys in, and how did all of you manage to fall on me out of nowhere and where is that poofy robot thingy-" the bombarding of James' questions was ended when Remus cut him off.

"Sorry about that, we'll let you guys eat now. I hope we can talk sometime later" Remus declared after elbowing James lightly in the ribs.

Nico was glad that there was at least one mature person in the group. He thanked them and then the quartet began to eat their breakfast which was surprisingly good for being not as hot as before. Once they were finished wolfing down their food, the boys made their way up to the teacher's table, hoping that Dumbledore wasn't too busy at the moment. It appeared that he was still talking to the professor that Nico didn't recognize. Then again, he probably wouldn't recognize barely any of them since they were twenty years in the past.

Dumbledore noticed the group approaching and beckoned for them to come over. "So I take it you all had a good night's sleep?"

The boys nodded and Nico instantly cut right to the chase. "What are our plans going to be for our stay?"

"Firstly, you four may stay in the fifth year Gryffindor common room if you'd like. There are only four boys staying there and that room has the most room in Gryffindor, so I am hoping that it will work out well. Secondly, I'm assuming you would like to attend the classes, which are completely optional, but it might get boring without much to do every day. If that is the case then, I have all of your books ordered and waiting in my office. Thirdly, I would like you to meet Mr. Kirkland, who is a new teacher here at Hogwarts and will be working on returning you four back to the future. He is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and also a substitute," Dumbledore explained, then proceeded to motion to the man who he was previously talking to.

The first thing that Nico noticed about Professor Kirkland was most certainly the eyebrows. After glancing at the others, Nico had a feeling that they were thinking the same thing he was. They were quite large, but Mr. Kirkland's eyes drew a little attention away from the eyebrows. They were a beautiful emerald green, but there was also something to them that made Nico feel uneasy for some reason. It was as if the eyes held something deeper than what was on the outside, but Nico decided that he was just being ridiculous.

Another trait of the man was that he seemed exceptionally young for a professor at Hogwarts. He didn't look any older than his mid-twenties, and Nico resisted the urge to ask him how old he was. Those questions could be saved for later. It was kind of rude to start a conversation with a stranger by asking them about their age.

Professor Kirkland held his hand out with a warm smile. "Nice to meet you. I'm Arthur Kirkland, the new professor here at Hogwarts. Dumbledore told me about your situation and I'm happy to lend a hand."

The group all shook his hand, and once the exchange was over, Hiro started talking.

"I'd be glad to take more classes. I really liked being at Hogwarts last year and I would be happy to continue my education." Stated Hiro. Nico knew that they all would want to take classes because who would give up the opportunity to learn more magic at a school in the past? Besides, life could get boring without things to do while they waited for a way back to the future.

"I think we'd all like to," Nico spoke for rest of the group. He looked at Will and Jack who nodded in agreement. The only thing they really needed to do was get the supplies and books from Dumbledore's office and also get Will a wand, which probably wouldn't be that hard.

Dumbledore smiled and stood up from his seat. "Marvelous. You four can go settle into the Gryffindor common room and I will retrieve your items needed for this year."

The group then dispersed, Kirkland walking out of the great hall and heading to the DADA classroom, Dumbledore walking in the direction of his office, and the quartet making their way to the Gryffindor common room.

Despite the hallway being completely empty, Nico still got the unsettling feeling that they were being watched, but he brushed it off as him being paranoid. Will was right- he really did need to lighten up.
