Disclaimer: I don't own anything from Yu-Gi-Oh!, whether it is from the Trading Card game, Dungeon Dice Monsters, the manga or the anime itself. However, if I did then Zane would have been punished for his actions from GX season 2 (such as nearly killing his own brother Syrus) and Alexis wouldn't have been made weak (the same problem Akiza got later in 5Ds regrettably).
Oh and yes, this duel will follow the canonical duel between Yugi and Ghost Kaiba but will indeed start diverging from it as things progress so to be clear on a few things, plus here is hoping that the new Yu-Gi-Oh! movie will be good since it takes place after the Ceremonial duel against Atem as I have heard but of course, it is before the events of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX even take place.
Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Heart of the Cards
A Ghost of a Chance
By EmperorDraco7
Yugi and Tea were at a complete loss of words, they never would have expected that the young student's opponent is none other than Seto Kaiba; yet the bigger shock is the fact that Kemo mentioned how Kaiba met with some kind of accident following his duel against Yugi long before the events leading to them and their friends coming to the Duelist Kingdom. "Yugi, you don't have a ghost of a chance beating Kaiba because this time, he is a ghost!" grinned Kemo, laughing as he would enjoy seeing Yugi beaten right before his very eyes and it will be a shame the rest of the younger man's friends won't be around to witness what could be his final duel.
"A ghost?" wondered Yugi, having a bad feeling about this and the spirit residing inside the Millennium Puzzle is equally as concerned as his partner was, especially as this might be one duel that would be more than just winning Tea's freedom but could end up becoming a matter of life or death.
"But, that's impossible!" commented Tea, feeling more fearful for Yugi's life than ever if what the man was telling the two of them is true, then reflected on what Mokuba mentioned about what occurred at Kaiba Corp, following Kaiba's defeat though is actually glad that the raven-haired boy wasn't with them otherwise it would crush him to see what became of his older brother.
"Believe what you want, but it's a fact that he ultimately chose to fall to his own death because he couldn't accept the fact he lost to your boyfriend" Kemo replied to the two, having another evil grin on his face as both teens were horrified to hear that he "committed suicide" all because of losing to the younger teen. "A pity the brat isn't here to learn of this tragic revelation, oh well I'll deal with him later and will he be horrified when he finds out all that's left of Kaiba are his memories plus a very cranky ghost who's just looking for revenge."
"You take that back!" snapped Tea, having a feeling that it might be something to rile them up and wondered if there was any kind of proof that Kaiba killed himself or not since no duelist would ever resort to such a thing not even after losing their title as number 1 ranked duelist in the world plus Mokuba wouldn't listen to him either. "Don't listen to him Yugi, it can't be Kaiba!"
He paid no attention to her trying to reassure Yugi that his opponent wasn't Seto Kaiba but had his own words to inform the duelist of what he will be up against, as if he wasn't careful then it could not only cost him all five of his Star Chips but it may also cost him his life too. "Well, he's seen better days but it's time to duel with the ghoul" he informed Yugi, hoping that he came prepared otherwise he would be crushed rather quickly.
Yugi, I'm ready to step in if you will allow it… he began, mentally contacting the younger duelist though a frown on his face showed there is something about the expression that hinted what the response would be. Yugi, what is it?
I'm sorry, but this is actually something I need to do on my own responded Yugi, mentally interacting with his alter-ego since one of his closest friends is being held against her own will and it reminded him of when his grandfather's soul was taken away by Pegasus via that Millennium Eye of his back at the Kame Game Shop.
Yugi, are you sure about this? asked Yami, becoming even more concerned than ever about Yugi as this wasn't like him to just go through with a dangerous duel such as this without his assistance though he needed to be absolutely certain that he knew what he's doing by actually doing this. You've never actually faced a duel like this before, besides if this is some sort of trap then you won't be able to...
I understand that you're worried about me Yami, but still I need to do this answered Yugi, giving him a mental response and a serious expression on his face as he turned to the still frightened and concerned Tea then towards Kaiba or at least who says he is Kaiba. Besides, I need to be able to prove that I'm more than capable of handling duels like this and Tea's someone I knew since were children.
Yugi…
Lowering his head, he felt there was also something else he had to prove as he wasn't able to prevent Pegasus from taking the soul of his grandfather; he sure as hell won't allow the owner of Industrial Illusions to do the same thing to Tea. I only managed to rescue Tea from that criminal who tried to kill her because you helped me and I have to show that I'm strong enough to win on my own in case something was to ever happen to you… he continued, hoping that the spirit of the nameless Pharaoh would understand will understand where he's getting at. All I ask is that you trust me on this.
Very well, but be careful said Yami before his spiritual image faded away so that Yugi can have his duel against Kaiba without his aid, yet he had one last thing to mention as the younger boy needed to become aware as a good word of advice for the upcoming match. If anything were to go wrong, let me know and I'll take over.
Nodding his head silently, he took in what Yami recommended and got ready to face his opponent though Kemo grinned as its going according as planned even more so as Pegasus himself was watching the match on the view screen from his castle. "Alright, playtime is over!" he said, making his way towards his side of the arena in order to confront this possible imposter and prove he can win this without Yami's aid. "Don't worry, I'll win this duel and your freedom, Tea… then we'll meet with the others."
Speaking of Pegasus, he was finding it rather amusing as he's right to have Kemo kidnap poor Tea and while it's a crying shame that his man wasn't successful in retrieving Mokuba, this would work to their advantage now that they're aware that Yugi isn't just dueling for his grandfather but rather for someone just as important as the old man in question. "This is extremely entertaining, I love reality TV!" he commented with a small laugh as he was taking another sip of his wine.
"Who is Yugi dueling?" asked Croquet, rather curious on the opponent that Pegasus is pitting against Yugi at this moment and suspected that it was his Master's doing which made the creator of Duel Monsters grin as it took his right-hand man a while to start suspecting the deception that's taking place concerning the chosen opponent.
"It's Kaiba or rather what's left of him… the poor boy had shown so much promise" answered Pegasus, knowing that it is gonna be rather interesting to see how Yugi would do against his very first major opponent from before inviting the younger boy to his competition on the island. "Oh well, it couldn't be helped."
"And now he's… here, how did you do that?"
Turning his attention towards Croquet, he figured there was something about this that he needed to be made clear before he jumped to any conclusions. "I really can't take all the credit" he replied with a small shrug. "I had help from Yugi and now to return the favor… I'm going to teach him a lesson… about the real power of the Millennium Items."
"What did you say?!" exclaimed Kisara, she and the others couldn't believe what Mokuba was telling them as they had gathered together at the campsite in order to discuss what they could possibly do in order to rescue Tea without risking Yugi's five hard earned Star Chips only to find out they were one person short.
"I'm telling you, Yugi is gone and all I found was a note when I went to check up on him" answered the raven-haired boy, revealing a small letter that he discovered where Yugi's sleeping bag was since it's clear that the duelist who beat Kaiba wanted to go through with the duel in order to save Tea. "Odds are that actually decided to go through with that challenge Kemo gave to him, even if it means losing all of his Star Chips in the process!"
Joey looked worried about the whole deal and asked. "Can Yugi handle this?" this caused the others to glance at him the moment he said that, looking equally worried. "I mean sure he handled tough duels before but never in his entire life has he done so in order to save one of us, and without any help this time."
"I hear you, then again it isn't like when he stood up to that punk just to help you and me" commented Tristan, reflecting on when Yugi got beaten up right in from of the two after they both got themselves into that jam thinking they could handle him on their own… boy were they wrong had Yugi not stepped in then they wouldn't be where they were right now. "Even so, I'm starting to wonder if he was even thinking by going through with this stupid challenge."
Shaking her head, Melody too had a few things she needed to say since at this point it seems that they needed to be more careful than ever now that Yugi went against their wishes and is attempting to save Tea on his own. "Maybe he knew what he was doing, besides he knew Tea longer than the rest of us and other than his grandfather, he's just been given another reason to win this tournament" she said, making the others among the group somewhat surprised by the remark and made them think on their next move. "After all between Yugi's grandfather having his soul taken by some strange magic, Pegasus wanting to get his hands on Kaiba Corp and now Tea being kidnapped it seems Pegasus is going to do whatever it takes to eliminate Yugi from the tournament by any means necessary now."
"Still, we can't just sit by and hope that Yugi manages to save Tea on his own can we?" began Joey, despite the fact that he and Kisara had their reasons for needing to earn enough Star Chips in order to gain access to the castle which won't be easy with the remaining amount of duels they have to win in order to accomplish that task. "I say we head over to that arena and teach that creep a lesson or two about kidnapping our friend."
"Yeah but you need to remember what Kemo said to Yugi, Kisara and myself not too long ago when he took Tea!" Mokuba spoke up again, still feeling responsible for Tea being kidnapped and starting this mess in the first place though it's clear he needed to remind Joey to think carefully before he attempted to go with that decision of his. "He might actually kill Tea if even one of us is seen arriving at the fray and it's already bad enough that Kisara lost her parents and the soul of Yugi's grandfather is being held inside that castle, I'm sure you wouldn't want Yugi to lose someone else he cared about."
Joey shook his head and said "No, I don't want him to lose Tea" he then paced back and forth while Kisara was nervously shuffling her neck. As this is going on, Mokuba sat down near the others and is thinking of what to do as it wasn't just Tea's life on the line but the fate of Kaiba Corp along with it.
It didn't go unnoticed as Melody saw the expression on his face. "Poor Mokuba…" she said to herself silently, knowing how much his wanting to avenge his older brother's defeat led to the mess taking place right now and part of her wished there is something she can do to help cheer him up. I hope Yugi wins this duel, especially as it's now an all or nothing match where it's no longer just about rescuing his grandfather…
Back at the Dueling Arena, Yugi was prepared for his upcoming match against Kaiba, though he felt his hand slowly shaking as he's kind of nervous and worried he might not be coming back from all this yet needed to keep himself under control. Okay, stay focused… this guy isn't Kaiba plus Tea's fate depends on my victory against him… he thought to himself, managing to place down all give of the Star Chips that were on his dueling glove so to use them as part of his ante and felt he didn't deserve them if he is unable to make good on his word.
"Yugi, you look like you've seen a ghost!" began Kaiba, yet Yugi remained silent at the remark and refused to respond with any sort or emotion as he had his deck prepared for the entirety of the tournament so there's no way he's going to back down. "So, the silent treatment is it? Well unfortunately things will turn out differently and not even Exodia will save you from what I have planned for this rematch!"
"What are you saying?" demanded Yugi, having expected this to be a trap and had no idea on what Kaiba meant by saying Exodia won't be saving him this time.
"You'll find out, once the duel begins…" replied Kaiba with an evil grin on his face as his monsters would want revenge for being defeated by the younger boy long ago and felt that as powerful as they were, separately they've fallen in the match even though he's been dominating their initial duel much like how he defeated Solomon before him. "I am no longer of this world and it's all because of you…"
Yugi again remained silent, giving Kaiba a serious glance as the opposing duelist had other things to say and all of it is out of malice towards the young man who defeated him. "I could have had it all, but when you beat me you took more than just the match, you stole my life and destroyed my soul." he spoke, but Yugi had enough of these words.
"You're wrong and you know it!" he snapped at Kaiba, refusing to believe what's being told to him and intends to show that he can handle the so-called ghoul in front of him. "You ready to duel me or what?"
"Fine with me, this time you won't beat my cards…"
Giving another growl, he needed to expect some powerful creatures and prove that he isn't Kaiba at all regardless on what he is trying to make him or Tea believe otherwise. "Oh I'll beat your deck, and I'll show that you may look like Kaiba but you are nothing more than someone who Pegasus sent to eliminate me from the tournament by any means necessary!" responded the young boy, wanting to show he can't be intimidated as it would work with most other duelists but not someone who has a bond with not only his deck but with those he cared about.
"You think you can beat me a second time? Let's face it; you've only defeated me before because of the five pieces of Exodia the Forbidden One as no duelist have ever been able to call him out in even to this day!" commented Kaiba, giving another grin as he felt there were more than one way to crush anyone. "In that case, let's see what would break first… your so-called spirit or your body."
"Be careful Yugi, we don't know if this guy really is Kaiba or some sicko trying to pose as him!" yelled Tea, though she had a gun aimed at her temple which made her silent and realized that Kemo had his own ways of keeping anyone he has prison in check.
"If you were smart, then you'd stay silent because it's one duel where his friends won't be coaching him this time" he informed, wanting to be certain that the brunette knew the consequences of what could happen if none of the rules in this match were followed. "This unfortunately includes you, though it should be a privilege to see what could be his final duel."
Tea gritted her teeth, wishing she could teach Kemo a thing or two about treating a girl such as herself like this and turned his attention back towards Yugi and Kaiba, hoping that her childhood friend knew what he's gotten into my agreeing to coming along for the challenge since if he loses, he won't be able to save his grandfather's soul from Pegasus. Yugi, I know you can hear me… he suddenly heard Kaiba's voice in his mind much to his shock. I know you can sense my thoughts and I know that you can see the truth. I am Seto Kaiba but this time you're dueling someone who has nothing to lose and ones I win this duel, Pegasus can have Kaiba Corporation. All I want is revenge and in order to accomplish it, I intend to do the impossible myself when the time is right.
"Even though you'll be betting all five of your star chips, I'll only need to wager three along with a certain girl who is hoping to see you succeed" he spoke to Yugi, placing his only three star chips as his ante along with someone he's certain the young man will want back. "Not that it matters, because by the time this duel is over not only will your soul be damned as mine was but hers will join it!"
"Don't be so sure about it, because I made a promise that I will keep not only to myself but to Mokuba as well" said Yugi as his face darkened, it was one thing kidnapping Tea but Kemo having a gun aimed at her was going too far even for someone like Pegasus and refused to allow what happened to his grandfather to be repeated.
"Let's duel!"
Yugi: 2000
Kaiba:2000
Both players drew five cards in their hand and Kaiba decided by starting things off by drawing one card from his deck with another grin forming the moment he did so. "Guess I'll go first, and I'll start off by summoning the Hitosumi Giant!" he placed a monster on his side of the field with Yugi shocked as he recognized the green-skinned one-eyed creature that Kaiba started the duel with back at home
Hitosumi Giant: 1200/1000
It didn't take long for Kaiba to take notice to the change of expression that Yugi had the moment he witnessed his creature being brought forth. "Hmmm…. is something wrong?" he asked the younger boy, as if suspecting that he's finally starting to accept who he's dealing with now and that the outcome of their rematch will indeed have a different conclusion. "It's your turn to move Yugi."
Biting his lower lip, he was starting to wonder why the Hitosumi Giant is in that deck Kaiba is using against him, last he checked only the real Seto Kaiba had this monster. The Hitosumi Giant… is how Kaiba began our last duel... he thought as he drew a card from his deck, while it is the first time Tea is seeing the monster used it made him nearly consider if deciding to face him without Yami's help was a good idea after all but shook that out of his head almost right away. He's trying to confuse me into making the same opening move that Kaiba did but it'll have the same result!
"I summon the Dark Magician in attack mode!" he yelled, bringing out his favorite card and felt that he needed to change things up in order to finish the match sooner with a blue-haired and purple-robed male spell caster rose onto the field, armed with his main weapon.
Dark Magician: 2500/2100
"Dark Magic Attack!" he ordered, the Dark Magician raising one hand and the colors became inverted as the Hitosumi Giant roared in pain before exploding into millions of glass-like pieces which actually didn't affect Kaiba seeing his first creature biting the dust so soon. "So much for your Giant!"
Kaiba: 700
"You're as strong as ever Yugi, though unfortunately by bringing out your Dark Magician this soon you've actually fell right into my trap!" commented Kaiba, having expected to see his opponent try and not repeat how their first duel went by using Dark Magician rather than his Winged Dragon: Guardian of the Fortress #1 which made Yugi and Tea wonder what he's talking about.
He's not angry that he's already almost out of lifepoint? thought Tea, realizing right away that he just sacrificed his own creature on purpose just so he can use that chance to take out Yugi's strongest ones next turn. This can't be good, but if Yugi loses then… I'm not sure what I can do.
"It's funny how things have come full circle Yugi, what were you thinking in that feeble brain of yours right now?" he asked Yugi again, intending to make his next move and drew from his deck as the time has come to begin the first part of his plan to finish his opponent off. "I bet I know, you've come to the conclusion that no matter what, there's no way you can win and you couldn't be more right."
Yugi didn't give Kaiba any sort of verbal reply, simply gritting his teeth at the man that was right in front of him which made the ghoul shake his head. "Even a simpleton like you now knows that I must be Seto Kaiba and once you accept that fact, you may as well accept defeat!"
"I don't care who you are, you're going to lose to me just the same!" responded Yugi, this time giving him a response to the remark made and even if he isn't able to gather all five Exodia cards by the end of the match, the Heart of the Cards has gotten him through so far and will continue to do so up to the final showdown against Pegasus.
"But Yugi, you barely beat me the first time we dueled and this time your big advantage is gone!" Kaiba told him, even though it was the truth since Yugi had a tough time against Kaiba when they faced each other and how he would have lost against all three of the Blue Eyes White Dragon cards had he not managed to bring forth Exodia. "Think about it, once my plan is completed you won't get the chance to draw all five cards nor will you ever do so again!"
"What do you mean?" asked Yugi, which Kaiba simply revealed the card that he had in his hand much to his and Tea's horror as the supposed-ghoul has another familiar monster that the younger man confronted long ago.
"That's right, this next card's a blast from the past Yugi…" he responded, playing onto the field none other than the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon that Kaiba used against Yugi the first time the two faced each other in an effort to achieve victory only for it to have slipped away when Exodia the Forbidden One was summoned, securing Yugi's automatic victory and the defeat of all three Dragons in play. "I call forth the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
Emerging onto Kaiba's side of the arena, a powerful Dragon with icy-blue eyes, white wings on its back and white skin to match the color of its wings let out a menacing roar as both Yugi and Tea became completely shocked at the fact this creep has a Blue-Eyes White Dragon because the young man mentioned to his childhood friend that Kaiba had three Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards in his deck and that Kaiba tore the fourth Blue-Eyes White Dragon card in half so it would never be used against him.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon: 3000/2500
"No way…" muttered Tea, knowing that it couldn't be possible for this guy to have a Blue-Eyes White Dragon in deck though part of her is starting to believe that whoever he's been trying to tell her and Yugi might actually be true.
Biting his lower lip, Yugi couldn't not liking the fact that he was facing a Blue-Eyes White Dragon since that monster is strong enough to destroy the Dark Magician in one blast and more so due to the fact he himself didn't have any facedown cards to save him either. Yami appeared next to him in spirit form, just bewildered at this turn of events as Yugi was but he knew that he needed to believe in his companion in the duel.
In the meantime outside of Kaiba's mansion, guards were on high alert and were stalking the place not knowing that it would soon be infiltrated by an unexpected intruder that was hiding from behind the nearest tree. It was none other than Seto Kaiba, having managed to save himself by managing to grab onto the edge of the cliff after jumping out of the window and climbed back up to safety once the coast was clear, despite the guards sent to kill him having thought that nobody could survive a fall like that… something he hoped to use to his advantage.
Without a word, he made his way over a fence onto the ground of the mansion and then proceeded with pulling up a hidden trap door, which he knew would lead down to an underground stairway into the mansion as the only ones who know of this were himself and his little brother Mokuba.
However, he not only needed to be careful but he also had to act quickly before the guards at the area became suspicious as he went down the underground stairway. Upon entering the library while at the same time made certain he wasn't being spied on or followed, he pulled out one book in order to reveal a hidden door that contained a retinal scan that will only recognize him or Mokuba and restrict anyone else from entering.
It didn't take long before the retinal scan confirmed that it was indeed Kaiba's left eye it was scanning and granted him access to a control room which he preceded with powering up his computer and it activated with his name on the screen after booting up. "Running identity verification protocol!" came a female system voice as it wanted to know who was activating the control room. "Please state your name!"
"Seto Kaiba…" he replied, verifying his identity by voiceprint analysis and it took a while before the system confirmed upon a red bar loaded up, granting him access into the computer's system.
"I thought I've seen it all but having to break into your own house?"
Kaiba wasn't exactly in the mood for this as there was a reason why he is doing what he did. "It's too long a story for right now" he replied, slight irritated but never the less he needed to be ready to find out what's going on and what Pegasus was planning.
"Too long a story?" asked the computer; somewhat amused by the fact Kaiba was not in the mood to explain the details to it before the screen went black temporarily and prepared itself to activate the rest of its systems. "Well maybe I'm not in such a talkative mood myself right now!"
"I'd find that hard to believe…" he said simply, yet part of him is concerned not only for Mokuba but for the blue-haired girl that he allowed to stay with them especially following having been attacked by two of Pegasus' men while he was in deep thought over why he himself lost to Yugi in their duel back at Domino City.
"Such a smart guy!" began the computer, showing an image of Kaiba Corp and what had transpired following his decision to 'run away' as it's clear that the five members that struck a deal with Pegasus were already making their move followed by an image of the stock bars which was another bad sign of the betrayal of his former employees. "While you were off gallivanting, a hostile take-over of Kaiba Corporation has begun!"
As expected, Kaiba wasn't exactly thrilled to learn of this but never the less has a feeling he knew who was responsible. "I know" he said, showing he was already well aware of the situation at hand before the screen revealed the Duelist Kingdom and a smaller image of Pegasus himself is shown to him.
"At the same time, Maximilian Pegasus has kicked off this Duel Monsters Championship at the Duelist Kingdom!" the computer then informed him, then had a feeling that there was gonna be something else that he needed to become aware of since he already made the decision of dropping out of the competition as Yugi's image was shown next. "If Yugi Moto can be defeated by Pegasus or a competitor that represent him… Then the new Kaiba Corp Lords will promise him control of the company!"
Not liking the looks of this, he wouldn't be too worried about that since Pegasus made one mistake from making the Duel Monsters Card Game. "He won't win, Yugi is unbeatable" he replied, once again reflecting on the duel he had against the young duelist who defeated him as it's clear that he feels that Yugi can handle himself in the competition. "His deck has Exodia!"
"I am well aware of that, however Pegasus is the one in charge of Industrial Illusions and he would have a means of defeating Exodia since it's only unstoppable if the duelist has all five cards in their hand during said duel!" it reminded Kaiba, but that wasn't the only thing that it had to warn him about as two more images appeared, one of Yugi's friend Joey and the other was a blue-haired girl the brown-haired young man is well familiar with. "Aside from Yugi, the two other participates are Joseph Wheeler and unfortunately young Kisara as well…"
"What?!" he exclaimed, the moment he found out Kisara is one of the participates in the tournament even though the computer couldn't show any sort of concern facially, it can do so via the tone of its voice as if it was a human being.
"Yeah well… sometime after you lost to Yugi, Kisara decided to participate in your place for reasons unknown…" hearing it say that made Kaiba scowl even more, it was one thing overlooking the fact Pegasus made the Duel Monster's game and having a means of defeating Exodia before all five cards can be united into Yugi's hand but Kisara putting herself in that kind of danger by participating in his place was an entirely different story. "When it rains it pours, Pegasus knows about the whole Corporation bylaws which require a living Kaiba heir to make any change of control legal… Mokuba's prisoner and with you out of the way, it's likely Pegasus will exert all kinds of pressure to make your brother do what he wants! One way or another…"
Kaiba was in even more dismay at learning Pegasus kidnapped his little brother and his expression changed to hatred as there's no way in hell he is gonna let his only relative suffer at the hands of Pegasus. "So now you know, what are we gonna do?" it asked him, hoping that he would have some kind of plan to keep Pegasus from succeeding in his mission.
They'll keep my brother safe at least until the takeover is complete so I gotta make sure Pegasus doesn't defeat Yugi in a duel, no matter what… he thought, hoping there is a chance to rescue Mokuba and to do that… he will need to get to the Duelist Kingdom personally, which requires him to get a means of transport but first thing's first he needed to make sure Yugi is capable of handling himself against anyone who Pegasus might send to defeat him, whether Yugi has Exodia in his deck or not. "I'm not gonna give up Kaiba Corporation without a real fight! It's takeover time, by me!"
He had an idea, hoping that the computer would be able to assist him on the matter and more so as there is a chance Yugi is already facing someone in a match on the Duelist Kingdom, hopefully someone not working for Pegasus. "We're going to hack right into Pegasus' computer mainframe" he had a confident expression on his face as he was ready to put a wrench into Pegasus' plans. "Next stop the Duelist Kingdom."
Tea was looking on as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon was called forth since it made her and especially Yugi worried that if he had that card in his deck then maybe it was indeed…. no, she couldn't think like that as fear was shown in her eyes and thought. Why did this have to happen, damn you Pegasus! she began to struggle trying to free herself from the ropes.
However Kemo noticed and said. "Save your strength, you can't get out of those binds plus you have a great front row seat."
Tea frowned at hearing that. "Yugi will kick that fake's ass, if he could beat the real Kaiba then he'll do so against him!" she said, however he then pulled out a remote as an evil grin formed on his face which wasn't a good sign.
"I'd suggest you watch what you say, especially as one wrong comment could cause my finger to slip onto this button" he spoke, showing he means it especially as he would want to make sure that she cooperates if she knows what's good for her. "Now, let's see if this kid can last against his opponent because he'll be in for a real shocking surprise if he makes even a single mistake."
Yugi and Tea were shocked at this, and then another evil grin formed on Kemo's face as he glanced at the two and continued. "Guess I should have mentioned before that your girlfriend is wearing a shock collar around her neck and I recommend that you don't get any bright ideas either!" he spoke, making the young man angry at the bodyguard for resorting to such a trick. "Unfortunately for you, now that the Blue Eyes White Dragon is on the field then it's only a matter of time before Mr. Pegasus gets what he wants so choose your cards wisely as it could be your final duel."
There was nothing but silence coming from the two teens and especially upon hearing what Kemo said, though Yugi needed to stay focused on the match because he has a feeling Kemo and Kaiba intend to distract him to the point where he would slip up and make a mistake. "Looks like the advantage is mine!" he mocked the younger man, especially as nothing is on the field to protect his creature from the possible attack.
That really is Kaiba's deck, there's no other explanation… but does that mean that Kaiba… Kaiba is really… thought Yugi as part of him was wishing that his opponent wasn't Kaiba but now he wasn't sure what he thinks anymore yet for some reason, Kaiba wasn't declaring an attack despite his monster being stronger than the Dark Magician.
"Don't worry Yugi, my feelings weren't hurt when you called me a liar… Now admit that you were wrong!" began Kaiba, showing another evil grin on his face when he sees that Yugi and possibly Tea are starting to see that he is the real Kaiba and not some phony as they thought he is yet Yugi had absolutely nothing to say to his opponent right now. "Not having a real body isn't so bad, you would not believe what I save in food bills alone but I still get to enjoy the finer things in life like revenge and I'm going to saver its sweet taste for a very long time!"
Yugi, if there's any time for me to take over now is it! informed Yami, immediately making contact with Yugi again as he fears for the younger boy's life as unlike Yugi, the nameless Pharoh has a better chance in defeating that Blue-Eyes White Dragon yet the teen's expression changed as he shook his head. If that really is Kaiba's deck then there's the chance that…
Yami, I can handle it… besides I can't let anything happen to Tea… he replied back to Yami, though the it made the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle more concerned as Kaiba not attacking him adds to the fact there might be more to summoning the Blue-Eyes White Dragon right away than they realized.
"Still have nothing to say to me?" asked Kaiba with another grin on his face while waiting for an actual response from the boy who managed to defeat him the first time and once more, there is nothing but complete silence as Yugi glared at the duelist he's facing.
Back at Kaiba's mansion, the computer and the real Kaiba were currently at work hacking into Pegasus' computer mainframe in an effort to get their plan into motion as swiftly as possible. "We've easily broken through the Duelist Kingdom security system" it informed the brown-haired former number 1 ranked duelist.
While they were successful in the first part of the task, Kaiba wasn't exactly thrill with the fact they managed to do so in almost no time at all. "Too easy!" he said with his usual unimpressed expression, hoping that Pegasus had a better mainframe than that. "Okay… when it comes to computer duels, Pegasus has met his match! Now it should be a piece of cake to find the field in which Yugi is dueling. "
"I'm looking, I'm looking!" said the computer with a loading bar slowly filling up, at work in looking for which arena that has Yugi dueling at while Kaiba waited patiently for process to be complete though to its disbelief… there was a keep out symbol with some sort of pink rabbit wearing red overalls and yellow shoes in front of it. "Access denied?!"
"What did you do wrong?" he asked it while briefly getting off of his chair, somewhat demanding some kind of explanation for what just happened.
"Don't blame me!" it responded, becoming irritated by the fact that they apparently underestimated Pegasus when they first managed to get into the Duelist Kingdom's system and felt as if he wanted them to think the mainframe was easy to hack into only to catch them off-guard with a better system. "I've finally found the security and it's all around Yugi's data!"
"Damn…. I should've known," he muttered a curse, sitting back down and a confident grin formed on his face as there could be a way around this problem as he owns one of the biggest Japanese companies in existence. "Fine by me… Pegasus, go ahead give it your best shot. There isn't a computer system anywhere on Earth that I can't break into…"
With that said, he knows there is more than one way to skin a cat and in his case, there is more than one way to get passed this security system. "Here's the thing, every computer has a backdoor if you know where to look" he then got ready to find where this backdoor was located and he won't rest until he's succeeded as he started typing into the keyboard. "And guess where we're gonna look?"
"Beats me"
"It'll be quicker if I take over by manual for a while…" he said to the computer, as three images were shown at once on the same screen, one was the Duelist Kingdom, one was a satellite orbiting space and the last one was none other than what is the computer mainframe itself as he had another cunning idea. "Data from all the duels is being beamed from the island to an orbiting Industrial Illusions satellite and back down to their mainframe. These transmissions are obviously highly encrypted. If we can't somehow force the Industrial Illusions' computer offline, I'm sure their backup systems won't have as much security."
"Are you saying we can make their computers crash?" asked the computer, becoming somewhat interested in what Kaiba has in store for this plan and how he will be able to make it work by what he just said earlier on the matter in question. "From here, but how?"
"A computer crash is exactly what I had in mind" answered Kaiba, having his eyes closed when he spoke and then continued on with the rest of his idea which while crazy will work in their favor. "The biggest computer crash ever and I'm going to use Pegasus' own satellite to do it."
"But I already tried to hack into their systems!" began the computer only for Kaiba to interrupt it, especially as this kind of crash is not what he was talking about as he had a different type of crash in store for Pegasus.
"My idea's different" responded Kaiba, getting ready to take the next step of his cunning idea into motion as he is certain that he would know how to deal with the issue if one way isn't good enough for the task. "Once the security is down, we should be able to freely access the data! Be ready with a search for the Dark Magician!"
"Gotcha…" said the computer as an image of the Dark Magician Duel Monsters Trading Card on a Duel Arena's Duel Monsters Map is shown beside the image of the Industrial Illusions Satellite. "Dark Magician inquiry, loaded and standing by."
"Good, if Yugi's dueling he's sure to use that card" he replied, knowing that it is the card Yugi used in their duel to take down his Judge Man while two of his Blue-Eyes White Dragons were under the effects of the Swords of Revealing Light Spell Card used against him.
"So spill it already!" it began, hoping that Kaiba would have some kind of plan to deal with the security systems that Pegasus and by extension Industrial Illusions have around Yugi's data since it's clear the owner of the Millennium Eye doesn't want anyone who could interfere with his plans for the younger man. "How are we going to use Industrial Illusion's own satellite to bring down their computer?"
"By bringing down the satellite itself" Kaiba replied back with a serious expression forming on his face, knowing that it might be their only chance to weaken the security's defense enough to hack into the systems and access Yugi's data, plus if he knew Yugi well then he would most likely save Exodia for when he confronts Pegasus himself since the five cards needed to call it forth are considered trump cards to be used only as a last resort than anything. "Down all the way"
"Loading satellite's schematics" With that said and the schematics loaded on screen, the computer began its work in hacking into the entire Industrial Illusion's satellite in an effort to take complete control of it and it wasn't for long before the satellite in question was in their possession. "Booster rocket controls online! Locating orbital coordinates!" it soon said before attempting to breach the security systems of the satellite which showed a CGI metal door with the words KEEP OUT on the front of it which then opened up following the completion of the loading. "Breaching onboard computer security"
Kaiba silently waited patiently as the satellite was now in their sights and his computer is doing its part in hacking into the satellite's systems as they speak. "You are now the proud owner of an Industrial Illusions satellite" it informed him now that it managed to successfully take control of the satellite orbiting space.
"Great, now plot a crash course for the computer mainframe."
"Uploading coordinate now" it said, doing its next part of the plan and soon the Industrial Illusion's computer mainframe was in sight as they only have one shot to get it done correctly. "We are locked on target for the computer."
"Hmm… Virus software won't stop this" commented Kaiba, his grin faded into a scowl as he prepared to give the next order to his computer, It was now or never to take out the Industrial Illusions' computer mainframe. "Pegasus, you failed to realize that Kaiba Corporation is still mine!"
"Satellite impact in 10 seconds…" reported the computer and after 10 seconds, the satellite plummeted back onto the Earth and collided with the computer mainframe itself which resulted in a shock wave from the precise moment of it crashing onto their target.
In the meantime, Yugi was still waiting for Kaiba to make his attack with the Blue-Eyes White Dragon as having 300 Attack Points, it's more than powerful enough to destroy his Dark Magician and leave a huge dent into his lifepoints but wondered what is in his opponent's mind as a small evil laugh was heard from the other side of the arena. "I won't attack just yet, why rush to victory when I can draw it out as long as possible instead?" he said to Yugi, setting a card facedown on his side of the field. "I'll just set one card facedown and end my turn."
Both Yugi and Yami didn't like the looks of this, especially as Kaiba could have attacked him but instead decided to go with setting a card facedown on the field to end his turn after summoning the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. There's more to it than that… He's hiding some sort of Spell or Trap Card I know it… thought Yugi while drawing a card from his deck, deciding to play it safe for now by changing his card into horizontal position. "I'll switch the Dark Magician into Defense Mode!"
His favorite Monster soon knelt down onto the ground on one knee but that wasn't the only thing he needed to do in order to protect his lifepoints. "Next, I'll summon the Curse of Dragon in Defense Mode and end my turn!" he continued, normal summoning his Curse of Dragon which curled up into a ball-like position.
Curse of Dragon: 2000/1500
"Smart play Yugi, unfortunately it wasn't smart enough" began Kaiba, revealing the facedown card he set on his turn earlier in response to Yugi's turn and horrified Yugi and Tea the moment they saw the familiar picture on the card as it looked like the Stop Defense Spell Card but at the same time the color was purple instead of green. "You've played right into my hand, Defense Paralysis!"
Needless to say, Yugi was at a loss of words when he saw both his creatures going straight into Attack Mode on their own because of the effect of that Trap Card his opponent revealed. "Unlike Stop Defense which only targets one Monster on the field and lasts only one turn… Defense Paralysis affects all Monsters on your side and keeps them in Attack Mode as long as it remains on the field!" he continued, with another sadistic grin on his face. "It's time, Blue-Eyes White Dragon destroy his Curse of Dragon with White Lightning Attack!"
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon opened its mouth and a ball of bluish lightning formed before being fired at the Curse of Dragon, completely obliterating it right in front of Yugi. "Well… so much for your Curse of Dragon…" he commented as Yugi shielded his eyes from the ensuring explosion caused by the attack colliding with his creature.
Yugi: 1000
However, that wasn't the only thing that would affect him… he found himself suddenly being struck by electricity yet there was no lightning striking the ground at all nor was there a thunderstorm taking place much to Tea's dismay. "Oh no, Yugi!" she cried out as she saw how much pain her childhood friend was now experiencing while Kemo started chuckling to himself.
"I guess I forgot to mention the additional condition when Yugi accepted this challenge…" he began, causing the brown-haired girl to glare at him with contempt and hatred for leaving that notion out until the very last minute. "Whenever he loses lifepoints, he experiences a rather painful shock of electricity on his end which only intensified the more damage he takes and should his lifepoints ever drop to 0 or if he runs out of cards in his dueling deck… well, you get the picture…"
"You sick bastard…" growled Tea, becoming even more concerned for Yugi than ever as even Kaiba was starting to enjoy the sight of seeing the younger duelist in pain from being hurt by the powerful charge he felt throughout his entire body which means that if Yugi loses this duel it won't be costing him just all five of his star chips but his life as well.
Yugi's friends suddenly jumped up the moment they heard someone screaming and it didn't take long for them to immediately recognize the voice. "What was that?" asked Mokuba, hoping it wasn't who he thinks it is especially as if it was then there is a chance that Pegasus might be coming closer to getting what he wanted.
"I don't know, but it sounded like Yugi!" answered Kisara, feeling that it is him even though part of her wished that it wasn't the case but at the same time she mentally cursed the fact he went through with the challenge anyway despite the fact that they wouldn't leave his side. "Why do I have a bad feeling that Kemo hid something that he never mentioned when he tricked him to this match?"
Melody just as worried, nodded especially since she, Tea, Tristan and Joey knew him the longest out of the six currently at the campsite. "If it is him, then we gotta do something!" she spoke up, not wanting to sit by and allow either Yugi or Tea to get hurt from this damned challenge of Kemo's as he, Joey and Kisara needed to continue with earning enough star chips to enter Pegasus' castle and losing one of the only three duelists in the group to this competition would hinder their chances greatly.
"Knowing Pegasus, he always has something planned beforehand" muttered Joey with a scowl on his face upon hearing this, he wanted to teach that bastard a lesson or two right now about what he's doing to Yugi and possibly Tea if something goes wrong in that match. "Doesn't he realize who he's messing with?"
"I'll say, besides even if Yugi is dueling against Kemo... there's no way he'll win" added Tristan, everyone present knew that Yugi has a triumph card that he will use when he doesn't have any other alternatives though in the case of Weevil, it was an exception due to wanting to eliminate that worm of a duelist from the competition. "Our friend has Exodia the Forbidden One in his deck, which means he should be able to save Tea if all else fails."
Joey, Melody and Kisara felt some relief the moment he brought up Exodia, since in a way Yugi didn't need Exodia to help him defeat Mako at all due to proving he can win difficult duels without the legendary cards aiding him. "Actually, Yugi didn't even bring Exodia…" Mokuba spoke up, getting the attention of the four older people the moment he decided to speak.
"What do you mean he didn't bring Exodia with him?"
Shaking his head, Mokuba felt he needed to inform the others before needing to explain. "He had the five cards that make up Exodia inside a box that his grandfather discovered… which happened to be where the pieces of the item he wore came from, the Millennium Puzzle if I heard right" he spoke, thinking about his talk with Yugi at the campsite before the young duelist headed off to accept Kemo's challenge. "He was so concerned about Tea's well-being that he never thought of bringing the Exodia cards along should he face a creature he couldn't defeat. I was shocked when I found they were all still in the box as if he's saving them for when he takes on Pegasus."
"Great and Yugi had a hard time defeating all three of Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragons when they dueled back home" said Joey as he mentally face-palmed, reflecting on when Yugi first dueled against Kaiba while Tea and Tristan had to bring Solomon to the hospital for medical treatment. "Who knows what kind of deck he's dealing with right now."
"Not only this but we don't know if there are creatures stronger than the Blue-Eyes White Dragon" Melody added, becoming even more worried for Yugi and Tea right now, a feeling that was starting to make her cringe at the thought of them possibly dying should he lose in his duel. "What do you suppose we do?"
Everyone present stayed silent, they refused to sit by and let Yugi or Tea die while on the other hand, they didn't want Pegasus to get his hands on Mokuba again so they're stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. "If only my big brother were here, maybe he could help" began Mokuba, lowering his head as he knew that had he not been so obsessed with getting back at Yugi for defeating Kaiba, Tea's life wouldn't be at risk now. "I wish I knew a way we can make contact with him."
Feeling a reassuring hand on the young boy's shoulder, Kisara was doing all she can to help make him to relax a little because of her knowing the Kaiba brothers longer than the rest of the group did but even she had no clue on what to do or how they could possibly save Yugi and Tea. I'm starting to wish there is a chance to reach Seto, we don't know where he had gone to otherwise it would make coming up with a good plan a whole lot easier.
Yugi's friends don't know it, but Kaiba was already preparing to help Yugi from his current location and was also determined to ensure Pegasus never touches his company or its valuable secrets.
The computer was at the time scanning the duels taking place within the Duelist Kingdom, hoping to come across the one that Yugi was in but so far was having little luck to say the least. "No Dark Magician there, next field" said Kaiba after checking field number 530 and the green CGI door closed in front of him as he and the computer backed away from the door into what appeared to be a hallway of some sort.
"We've exhausted almost every possibility of locating Yugi Moto!" said the computer as it went through the hallway until eventually coming across a door which was labeled 146 which ended up piping Kaiba's interest. "Field 146 is the final active duel."
"Then… he's gotta be there!" he exclaimed with a somewhat shocked expression, praying to god that this is the one where Yugi is dueling and needed to go in to be certain that his rival was facing someone there or not. "Search Field 146!"
"You got it" responded the computer attempting to go door leading to the field only to stop dead in its tracks as the screen started to sputter a bit which was not a good sign since it had to be another defense system left by Pegasus.
"What the?!" Kaiba didn't like the looks of this as it wasn't just affecting the computer but everything else in the control room as well. "What's that?" he asked, wondering what could be preventing them from reaching the door.
"Looks like I crashed!" it replied as if everything in the control room is about to go out at any moment unless he acted quickly since there is no way he'll allow Pegasus to win.
"Reboot!"
He waited for a while, hoping that the computer will reboot itself and return to normal which fortunately didn't take too long to do so as the computer was back to its fully-functional state. "Back online" it said to him, much to his relief.
"Enter Field 146!" he ordered again which the computer did what it was told only for the same result to occur and he growled at the fact Pegasus is once again one step ahead of him as he didn't want the computer to suffer a second crash.
"I'm frozen again!" it spoke, not able to move even closer to the door let alone enter through it and he gave another mental curse at this as they were running out of time with no clue on what's happening behind there. "It's worse this time!"
"Hang on, watch this" he said, quickly typing into the keyboard as he is not one to give up so easily when it comes to a fight to the end and he was looking into the current data he has right now, with the Dark Magician card's image appearing with a huge X flashing in front of it then a grin formed on his face after a few seconds or so. "Gotcha, just as I thought…"
His attention was now towards the screen showing him the CGI door to Field 146 as he now knows what is keeping them from advancing further. "So a virus… a good one that means just one thing… searching for Yugi's cards activates the virus" he commented to himself, being even more certain that Yugi is at that specific field. "Yugi's inside get ready to go in!"
"But the security door…."
"We've come this far already and I'm not gonna blow it!" Kaiba interrupted before the computer could protest even further, especially for all they know Yugi could be in a losing duel against an unknown opponent sent by Pegasus right now though being resourceful, the brown-haired young man had an image of dynamite on the screen in front of Door Number 146 with a loading bar slowly filling up to boot. "Actually, yes I am."
The moment the bar filled up all the way, an explosion occurred within the CGI hallway and there was silence as he suspected that it should be more than enough to blast their way into the Field yet something else suddenly caught his attention. "Huh?" he wondered, noticing what looked like a prison-like building on an isolated island in broad daylight. "What's that?"
"It's a virtual fortress! Sensors indicate that all of the data from Yugi's duels is processed here!" said the computer, picking up something coming from what it and Kaiba have just discovered following the explosion from the virtual dynamite that the owner of Kaiba Corp used to blast their way into Field 146 and the screen zoomed in specifically at the door to the fortress in question. "You won't blow your way through this thing! It's the ultimate defense and it impossible to penetrate without the password."
He found himself not intimidated by this as he knows that it won't stop him no matter how impenetrable it is supposed to be. "A password… If I know Pegasus, that ego maniac would never think that anyone would outsmart him and get even this far" he said, having some kind of idea on what it might be as intends to make good on his word of not blowing it after getting this far along. "We're going in."
"The password?"
Kaiba simply gave the computer another confident grin as he felt as if he knew what the password was going to be. "Pegasus…"
"Ah!" Yugi yelp in pain, having a hard time standing up and tried to draw a card from his deck which made the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle appear before him again as he needed to take over no matter how much the boy wanted to prove himself against Kaiba, yet Yugi gritted his teeth as he didn't want to give Kemo or Kaiba the satisfaction of seeing him like this but as long as the continuous Trap Card that was activated is in play, he is stuck in Attack Mode so he needed to draw something that could help him turn the tide on the duel. How can I defeat his Blue-Eyes White Dragon?
Yugi, let me take over… came Yami's voice, again intending to step in and continue the duel in Yugi's place as it's clear that now that they were aware of what kind of trap Pegasus had laid for them, the owner of the Millennium Puzzle wouldn't withstand another painful shock if he should lose more lifepoints. You'll have a much better chance at surviving and rescuing Tea if I can handle the rest of the duel.
I understand that you're concerned for me but I intend to keep my word and prove I can handle myself in a duel right to the very end… responded Yugi mentally giving his answer, knowing that it would kill him but he has to do this own his own even though the nameless Pharaoh still won't approve of his choice as he's already in a lot of pain as it is. "I'll set one card facedown and end my turn…"
Upon setting only one card facedown, Kemo found himself chuckling at the fact that the duelist who defeated Kaiba in their previous duel has finally met his match and especially in his current condition from the shock. "Yugi, you gotta admit for a stiff, this Kaiba's sure got game!" he said, knowing that even if he doesn't lose all his lifepoints or run out of cards in his deck another good jolt will knock him out.
"Don't listen to him Yugi!" yelled Tea, knowing that even in his weakened state there is still a way that he could turn this duel around and she refused to bare witness of seeing him die just to save her own life. "I know you can still beat this guy, you still have 300 more lifepoints than he does!"
"You still think that he has a chance at beating Kaiba when it's clear that aside from Exodia, none of his monsters can defeat the Blue-Eyes White Dragon?" commented Kemo, somewhat amused by the fact that this girl would still be rooting for Yugi even though the odds are currently against him. "Look at yourself, even tied up you are already starting to show fear for the boy."
Yugi on the other hand was silent, especially as he listened in to what Tea was telling him and that he wouldn't have been able to become friends with Melody, Tristan, Joey and most recently Kisara had he never met her during their childhood days. "I may be scared, even terrified but that won't keep me from supporting someone I care about and you better be ready, I know he'll be making his comeback!" she replied to Kemo, her fear slowly dissipating and showing a more determined expression.
"It's my turn now, and with just your Dark Magician on the field this should be easy pickings!" began Kaiba, about ready to make his next move yet the moment he drew a card from his deck it was now Yugi's turn to spring his trap and hopefully it would help him in planning his comeback.
"Not quite, I activate the Trap Card Magical Hats to conceal the Dark Magician!" said Yugi upon revealing his Trap Card, causing four large top hats with yellow question marks in the front to appear and the Dark Magician is hidden underneath one of them. "Sorry but this duel's not over yet!"
This made Kaiba somewhat surprised that Yugi had his own Trap Card for keeping the Dark Magician safe from his monster's attack. "He's under there somewhere but which one?" he asked, though the opposing duelist had another evil grin on his face since it's clear that Yugi is starting to become rather desperate.
"Are you so desperate that you would have your Dark Magician doing simple hat tricks?"
"It's not a trick and it's not so simple! Your move but you better think twice before you choose, just do the math!" responded Yugi, showing a confident expression despite being in a badly weakened state and thinks it could work in his favor provided that Kaiba doesn't attack the hat that his monster is hiding under. "Four hats and a 25% chance you'll find Dark Magician, choose poorly and I'll hide something else underneath one of the hats."
Hearing this, Kaiba's eyes widened in complete shock and never the less started gritting his teeth as he will need to be careful when planning his attack now. "Damn you!" he muttered with a darkened expression on his face while Yami's spiritual presence appeared next to Yugi with a nod of approval as it's clear that some of his planning is starting to rub off on the younger man.
"Yugi…." began Tea, a light smile forming on face as it might give her childhood friend a chance to plan a way to defeat the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and show he can do so without the need for Exodia the Forbidden One to help him win this and Kemo remained silent, having his own scowl as he had a feeling this might happen.
"You were right about the password!" said the computer upon the fortress' doors slowly opening upon Kaiba giving the password for it to use as now they were one more step closer in getting to the arena that Yugi is dueling at. "The virtual fortress is unlocked, we now have access to Yugi's data and it was just his turn!"
"Pegasus thinks he can make up all the rules in this game but he could never have imagined this brand new twist" commented Kaiba with another serious expression on his face as now wasn't the time for them to be celebrating when they still got a lot more to do in order to keep Pegasus from succeeding in his goal. "I'm back!"
Yugi was patiently awaiting for Kaiba to make his move in spite of the pain his body felt from the electricity, praying that his strategy with the Magical Hats Trap Card would turn the duel to his favor and fears that if he's facing one Blue-Eyes White Dragon right now then he hoped the remaining two wouldn't be in that deck because if they were, then he would be in for some serious trouble. "So predictable, I know where the Dark Magician's hides" began Kaiba, believing he now has an idea on which of the Magical Hats hides the Dark Magician from his Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Biting his lower lip, Yugi hoped that Kaiba was bluffing about that comment he made. "If you're so sure then make your attack!" he replied back with another defiant glare and the opposing duelist responded with a grin on his face.
"It's a shame that this duel's going to end so soon and I was actually hoping you would've lasted long enough to see me use my secret weapon to finish you off too" he spoke, much to the shock of Yugi and Tea at the mention of it as he never said anything about a secret weapon he's be saving though it was still his turn. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack with White Lightning!"
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon fired another White Lightning, this time aimed at one of the four Magical Hats and Yugi watched as the attack itself grew ever closer. If he attacks the right hat, I'll lose more than just this duel… much more… he thought just before the blast collided with the targeted hat.
ooooooooooooooo
To Be Continued…
A/Ns: Well it took me a very long time but I managed to get this chapter done as well as get started on the duel against Ghost Kaiba, trust me I'm not lying when I am saying that there will be major divergences from the canonical duel especially some shocking ones which you will see in the continuation of the duel which unfortunately is gonna be in the next chapter.
Also while I never got the chance to play any of the Tag Force games, I am really hoping I can at least get one of them and see how I do with that. Plus, I am surprised that none of the characters from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series ever appeared in any Tag Force game (outside of the Paradox Brother in the first Tag Force game) until the recent one Tag Force Arc-V but oh well.
