Chapter 5: A slave and his purpose

"What do you think Naruto?" Hinata asked cheerful, glancing over at Naruto. Naruto simply studied them for a good length of time before adimentaly saying. "No way." Hinata looked at Naruto shocked, and Jiraiya gave Naruto a puzzled look as well. "What do you mean Naruto?" Hinata asked distressed. Naruto sat down on the floor, and just crossed his arms.
"I really don't believe these guys can teach me anything." Naruto said matter of fact, Jiraiya just glared at Naruto, as Naruto continued. "I mean what can they teach me perving powers?!" Naruto said sarcastically. Jiraiya's face was red with anger, as Naruto tried to continue Jiraiya burst out. "Did you not just see the ground the ground shatter beneath you!" Naruto looked at Jiraiya unimpressed. "Yeah, yeah Temari can do that might as well have her teach me, I don't care if you're some sage you and your friend with the mask, should just go on your way!" Naruto yelled crossing his arms. Jiraiya then pointed his handel like a gun. Then water sprang out in a small stream traveling very fast, and it then shattered a giant rock that was right by where they were sitting, Naruto seeing the size of the boulder was awestruck, then Jiraiya shot fire from his mouth, and melted the rocks, and seeing Naruto's expression stood triumphant.
"You were saying brat…." Jiraiya smirked, Kakashi was just in the background reading his book, his partner had written and though. Oh great.
Naruto turned around mouth agape, and said. "Oh my gosh, i wouldn't have guessed you were so strong! PLEASE TEACH ME HOW TO DO THAT!" Naruto shouted excited gesturing toured the ruble, Hinata giggled at Naruto's enthusiasm, Temari at this point had already left, because she didn't care much about naruto getting a teacher.
Jiraiya just scoffed. "Please, you would've been lucky to get my teaching yet you mock me? Ha!" Jiraiya said accuistoril. "Find yourself a different teacher." Jiraiya said crossing his arms and walking away, as Kakashi followed him. Then Jiraiya tripped as he saw Naruto hanging onto his leg. "Please I want to be strong! Please!" Naruto begged. Jiraiya just shoved him off. "Have some dignity! Fine, I tell you what find me a lady and i will teach you." Jiraiya said adamantly. Hinata just looked on confused I suppose every teacher has there own… entrance exam? Hinata thought confused.
"Uhh a woman?! What kind of woman?!" Naruto asked baffled. Jiraiya just giggled "I like em lush with curves!" Jiraiya drooled. Naruto just scratched his head, and then pointed at Hinata. "OH Hinata has all of those things!" Naruto said matter of fact.
Hinata's face and went dark, and Jiraiya just froze. "Could you work something out… kid?!" Jiraiya said with kakashi popping up in the background. Naruto said tilted his confused.
"I don't know… what do you say Hinata?" Naruto asked looking back at a now red Hinata.
"I-i uhh" Jiraiya then interjected.
"Oh! Nothing like that!" Jiraiya clarified. "Just a place to stay." Jiraiya laughed nervously rubbing the back of his neck, Hinata eased at this. "Well…. Of Course you're teaching Naruto, it's the least i can do." Hinata said with a smile, Kakashi got up and so did Jiraiya leading the way. "Alright let's go!" they started off and Hinata showed them to her house, and the first thing Jiraiya did was kick in the door. "Wonder if they got any food here!" Jiraiya bellowed.
Hinata just mumbled at the broken door. "I had a key…" Jiraiya and Kakashi quickly raided the fridge and sat on the couch. "Alright Naruto, after lunch we will begin your training!" Naruto just fist pumped, too excited to begin his training. Hinata just giggled at Naruto's enthusiasm ignoring the mess, because to her it was worth it to see Naruto get proper training.
After lunch, Jiraiya Kakashi and Naruto went to a training ground in Suna. "Alright kid, the first thing you need to understand, is the basics alright?" Naruto nodded with excitement. "First thing, is chakra, chakra is something every single Shinobi possess, this is how Shinobi's use every technique, you can harness this through Chakra control which we will discuss later." naruto nodded in understanding, and Jiraiya after puffing on his pipe, continued his lecture. "Now, through this is chakra nature transformation, which is the based on the 5 elements. Lightning, earth, fire, wind, and water. Now, first things first we need to see your nature transformation." Naruto looked at Jiraiya puzzled. "How do we do that?" Jiraiya then fished into his bag and brought out a pack of paper. "This paper, once you funnel chakra into it, you'll be able to see your nature type." Naruto took a piece of the paper, and funneled his chakra, and the paper melted.
Naruto immediately dropped it, blowing on his hand, Jiraiya just smiled. "Well kid, looks like you've got a kekkei genkai" Naruto just tilted his head in confusion. "That means you have 2 natural affinities yours are fire and earth, so you will be able to use lava release." Jiraiya explained.
"Cool so what's the first thing we begin with!" Naruto asked bursting with excitement. "Well, first step is what Kakashi will teach you, that being chakra control. Kakashi he's all yours." Jiraiya said moving out of the way as Kakashi approached.
"So, Naruto our first exercise will be climbing trees." Kakashi explained board. "Oh that doesn't sound too hard." Naruto beamed holding the tree. "What do you think you're doing?" Kakashi asked. "Climbing the tree?" Naruto asked confused. "Without your hands." Kakashi stated dryly. "Without out my hands?!" Naruto asked indigent. "What does that even mean?!" Kakashi just sighed, "By funneling chakra through your feet you can walk up trees walls etcetera. " Kakashi explained, and Naruto had a look of wonder on his face. "Oh i see." Naruto then tried funneling Chakra through his feet and as he ran up the tree but fell off, and tried again several times, before finally approaching Kakashi who just looked up bored from his book. "I'm funneling the chakar why won't i stick?" Naruto asked baffled. Kakashi just sighed again. "That's why it's called "chakra control" because, chakra is similar to running water, you have to control running water so it doesn't overflow your cup right? " kakashi asked, Naruto nodded in agreement. "Well same thing if you overflow the chakra, you won't be able to walk up the tree, so try again but try to control it this time." Naruto immediately started up again, while not climbing the tree was making steady progress. After 12 hours of this Naruto was able to climb half way up the tree, and was showing no signs of wanting to stop until his body gave out. Kakashi just stood over his body that was sleeping blissfully.
"With this attitude Naruto you'll became a great shinobi, I'm sorry i seem distant…. But it's the only way you'll learn." Kakashi sighed with a tear streaming down his face.
"Reminds you of his mother doesn't he?" Jiraiya asked appearing out of nowhere, leaning against a tree. "It's been so long, I've searched so long I promised myself I would find him, every night I just stood at Minato's grave begging for forgiveness." Kakashi stood shutting his eye. "That's why you hurt yourself." Jiraiya stated flatly. "It wasn't your fault, not that I'm one to judge anyone's desires or lifestyle, but Naruto is here now let's just take him back." Kakashi picked up Naruto and they went back to Hinata's house.
It was around midnight at this point, and Hinata was up waiting for them. Where could they be Hinata wondered bouncing her leg. Then they came in bursting through the door laughing.
"Then she said you paid very little what'd you expect lobster!" Jiraiya said with laugh. (nice little office reference)
Hinata got up and ran into the entryway and saw Naruto passed out in Kakashi's hands, and looked mortified. "W-what happened to him?" Hinata stuttered. Jiraiya just laughed. "Oh, God bless him, he worked until he dropped he's really dedicated." Jiraiya said clearly a little drunk, and kakashi Hinata just realised was bare chested, with lashing marks all over him. Kakashi just winked at Hinata. "Let's say we had a slight excursion on the way home." Hinata looked mortified at his bruised arms, and held one. "Kakashi-sensei you can't keep doing this to yourself, its unhealthy when you've had enough, you have to say you've had enough." Hinata said tenderly and started blowing on the wound. "Owie, owie go away don't come back some other-" Before she could finish Kakashi went flying out the door screaming.
"Was it something i said?" Hinata asked confused. "Sort of a masochist cannot stand warmth and affection he'll be back….. I'm almost certain." Jiraiya said flatly taking Naruto and laying him on the couch.
"He did good today Hinata." Jiraiya started. "He definitely has potential, but it'll be difficult teaching him the basics, but we'll pull through."JIraiya said smiling rubbing the blonds head. Hinata then hugged Jiraiya. "You have no idea how much this means to me, to see Naruto fulfilling this dream of his. I haven't always been the best i have screwed up several times. " Hinata said sadly, Jiraiya just put his hand on Hinata's head. "You really care about him, huh? Well don't worry I won't let you or him down …. I promise." Jiraiya said solemnly. "Thank you master Jiraiya Hinata cried overjoyed at his vow."
The next morning
Naruto got up, and was ready to train, Kakashi came back (eventually) and after a little strong arming for Jiraiya to stay in bed, they got up after breakfast and went to the training ground.
"So, Naruto your chakra control seems fine with the trees, now let's move onto something a little more complicated." Kakashi spoke dryly, Naruto beamed at the word "complicated" and was eager to hear what it was. "Walking on water." Naruto could have exploded with wonder.
"YOU CAN REALLY DO THAT?!" Naruto boomed, much to Kakashi's dismay. "Yes, please not so loud." Kakashi said rubbing his ears. "We are going to practice in a slightly different location for this one." Kakashi said motioning for Naruto to follow. Naruto obliged, and eventually both were lead to a spring, with water boiling over.
"The motivation on the last teaching was if you can't control your chakra you'll fall for this one, if you can't control your chakra you'll fall into the boiling water." Naruto just nodded and gulped, making his way to the water, he stepped on it and tried to keep his ground but lost control, falling in and screaming. Kakashi just sighed, and sat down, Naruto within 2 hours got it down, much to Kakashi's shock. With his amount of chakra, he shouldn't have such great chakra control…. I wonder- Kakashi's thoughts were interrupted by Naruto yelling.
"Kakashi look I'm walking on water! I'm really doing it!" Naruto yelled running back and forth across the spring. Kakashi just nodded. "Yeah, let's go find Jiraiya Naruto!" kakashi yelled motioning for Naruto to come over. "He'll teach you, you're next training." Kakashi finished as Naruto ran back to the shore, and Naruto excitingly went with him overjoyed, he was succeeding. Naruto and Kakashi eventually met up with Jiraiya at the training ground they were originally placed in, Jiraiya was busy looking at a magazine and giggling with a slight nosebleed.
"Master Jiraiya i hate to interrupt." Once Jiraiya recognised there presence, almost fell over embarrassed and quickly put the magazine away. "Oh hello! Uhh are you done with your chakra control training already?" Jiraiya asked, nervous and shocked.
"Yes, very quickly" Kakashi emphasised, Jiraiya just nodded understanding what he was saying. Jiraiya examined Naruto, and then said. "Well, the next step is meditation so close your eyes and take upon a position." Jiraiya said just said "Okay.." And put his hands together shutting his eyes, Jiraiya observed his stomach. That's why he's doing this so quickly i just assumed based on his family that his chakra reserves would be immense… but they put a seal on him to restrict his chakra. Jiraiya then used the 5 prong unseal to undo it. "What are you doing?" Naruto asked with his eyes still shut.
"Oh nothing just feeling your tight sexy body." Jiraiya said with a chuckle. "Ah shut up ya old perv and-" Naruto was cut off. Do to the intense surge of chakra that had been contained by the seal. "W-what did you do to me?" Naruto asked weak. "Oh it's that meditation, that means it's working." Jiraiya explained. "Ohhh." Naruto said in understanding.
"Now, Naruto i say we teach you your first Jutsu. The Summoning jutsu." Jiraiya said to Naruto's confusion. "What's that do?" Jiraiya then bit his thumb and slammed it on a scroll he pulled out, and a giant frog appeared with Jiraiya sitting on top, leaving Naruto awestruck.
"With this jutsu you make a contract with the animals and are able to summon them at will, provided you make a small blood sacrifice." Jiraiya explained. "OOOO gimme, gimme gimme!" Naruto said bouncing. Jiraiya then sent his summon back, and got down pulling out a scroll "Alright sign this contract with your blood, and you will be able to summon them." Jiraiya explained, and Naruto eagerly bit his thumb and smeared the blood on scroll, and then tried to summon a frog only to get a tadpole. At first he was mocked by Jiraiya and Kakashi but, as Naruto tried all day and all night, then woke up the next day and just failed over and over again, it went from an hour to a day and from a day to a week, Jiraiya was beginning feared his teaching wouldn't be enough. Although despite this doubt Naruto never gave up and Hinata never stopped believing in him.
Meanwhile…..
"So, we're meeting your spy right Sasori my man?" The blond said to his older companion. "Yes it is time to commence, you take care of the Kazekage I've got other business to handel…"
Naruto POV.
Authors note…. For the rest of this chapter and a lot of next it'll be from Naruto's perspective instead of a omnipotent Narrator like I've been using
I woke up after a rigorous day of trainin' I thought, when all of the sudden an explosion burst out sending light into my room. "What was that!" I was yellin' quickly gettin' on my robe and running out of the house to see the kazekage himself fighting another man who appeared to be seated on some white bird, but it was much too large to be a bird, at least any bird I'd ever seen.
My first instinct, was to get my master Jiriaya he who everything' I'm sure he could help the kazekage seemed in danger. First thing was first though I went to go check on my princess Hinata. As i ran into her bedroom she wasn' in there and i began to panick yellin" "Hinata where are you! Hinata! Hinata!" No answer, i was supposin she had takin' cover, but I knew that was a lie once I saw the scorpion in front of me as the wall of the house was broken by a large tale, and a raspy voice that could only belong to a smoker came to me. "Kid…. Is this what you're looking for." At first I was petrified with fear, but soon it melt to anger as i saw Hinata was layin next to him unconscious. "If you dare hurt her I will-" I was cut off by the man.
"You'll what you can't do anything to me, you're nothing but gutter trash, she is mine. There's nothing you can do about it." Before I knew it, his tale had stretched out and cut my cheek and i was down on the ground paralyzed, all I could think about was how much I had let HInata down if only i was stronger… damn it why was i so useless, i just sat and cried with what little energy I did outta the corner of my eye, I saw 2 familiar faces it was Jiraiya and Kakashi. Relief washed over me I couldn believe my luck. "Master Jiraiya, Kakashi I am so happy to see you! You don't know-" Jiraiya just raised his hand motioning for silence.
"Kid….. I'm sorry we aren't here to help you, me and sasori here are working together…. That's why we're in this village, to get Hinata the Hyuga Heirs and The kazekage." I was speechless, I felt betrayal, I felt sadness… but most of all i felt anger…. So much anger it boiled over "You bastards!" I screamed feeling my body pulsate, and a orange beam came around me. I don't remember much after that….. I must've blacked out. Now, I wake up and i see the nicest room I've ever been in and I'm sleeping on a bed fit for a king…. Then i remember everything that happened, Hinata was gone, Jiraiya and Kakashi used me…. I have no reason to everyone i cared about and loved is gone, so i took the bread knife on the nearby table. As i felt the coldness of the blade on my throat I gulped thinking. I was never good enough for Hinata, that's why I didn't keep my promise, but everyone's I equal in heaven I knew the Lord didn't see me as a slave maybe, me and Hinata can be together in paradise. Just as i was about to end it I heard a voice that made me drop the knife. "I wouldn't do that if i were you…" He said cooly, I looked at him quickly averting my gaze. He was a tall man with purple eyes, orange hair and metal drilled into every position you could imagine, and he started again as he sat down in a chair across the room.
"Naruto Uzumaki…. We have much to discuss…."
