Part 3- Final Battle

New Chapter! Oh yeah! Sorry of it took to long, but I worked really hard to make these ideas. Plus, my semester ended a week ago, so I was quite busy finishing up, and on top of that my winter break was pretty busy. I'll try to make the next chapter longer, but for now enjoy!

The battle wasn't going well, that much was certain. Everything had gone so well, but Sentro had to pull that game, now so many were dead. Sora slashed through another guard, not stopping to watch it explode into fragments. Next to him was Shiro and Steph, and some distance away was Klein, Jibril, Sinon and Kirito who were defending Asuna and Lefea who were tending to the wounded.

Up ahead was Sentro, watching the battle with a deadly smile. Suddenly a familiar cry fills the room. Sora turned around to see a guard standing over Steph, who was crimpled on the ground, a blade impaled in her gut, her health rapidly depleting. "Steph!" Sora rushes over, slicing the guard in half, and quickly gathering Steph in his arms. "Don't die, please don't die." Says Sora as he pulls the blade out of Steph.

"I failed." Says Steph, tears in her eyes. "I couldn't fulfil my promise to Silica."

"I'll do it for you." Says Sora, tears streaming down his face. "I'll complete your promise for you, so please don't cry."

"Thank you Sora," Smiles Steph weakly. "it's been fun, I enjoyed those dates we went on. I love you." With that she explodes into shards. Tears begin to drop from Sora's eyes as he drops to his knees, than his eyes are filled with rage. "Sentro!" Sora picks up his own blade and charges at the god. "I'm gonna kill you!"

"Well this should be fun!" Smiles Sentro, standing up. "Let's have some fun!"

...

"It's pretty unguarded don't you think?" Asks Klein. "You'd think the base of a god would have a bit more security."

"You're right, it's a bit suspicious." Agrees Kirito.

"It's the first strategy in any war," Comments Sora as he descends the staircase. "you leave your base empty so when the attackers get to your throne room, you have all your men at your disposal."

"Means there will be more people for us to fight!" Says Klein confidently.

"Gues it does." Says Lisbeth, patting her boyfriend on the back.

"We're here." Says Sinon as the team reaches the last floor.

"These paintings," Breaths Steph. "it's Disboard."

"Yeah," Replies Sora. "wonder how long it's been here, this base I mean, it doesn't include pictures of us."

"That's what you're worried about?" Yells Sinon. "Honestly."

"Well," Says Sora, stroking the door. "This is it. You guys ready?" Everyone nods and Sora pushes the door open. Bright light fills their eyes, causing the heroes to shield their eyes for a moment.

When the light cleared, they could see Sentro clearly sitting on his throne. Guards are stationed all over the room, and in the center is a cage. Inside is Chell, Spirit and an unidentified girl. "Hello humans, welcome to my throne room!" Sentro's voice is deep and fills the room with booming echoes. "I assume that you are here for the prisoners."

"Not just that, we're here to stop you!" Shouts Klein.

"You humans stop ME?" Sentro actually looks shocked at the statement. "There are two humans in this world that even have a wrinkle of a chance at beating me! You are not them!"

"Are they Blank?"Asks Sora as he and Shiro step forward.

"Yes, do you know them? I wish to fight them."

"Then fight you we shall!" Shouts Sora, jumping forwards. "Let's go!" Suddenly guards swarm into the room, advancing towards the fairies.

"S0 you're the famous Blank." Says Sentro, chuckling. "I expected you to be older, not an 18-year-old and a 12-year-old."

"We may be young, but were more skilled than you'll ever be!" Yells Sora as he beheads a guard.

"Is that so." Sentro chuckles a low chuckle. "Then let me introduce a game." Suddenly Sentro and his throne disappear, revealing a golden wall, two doors are on either side of the wall.

"Where did he go!" Asks Leafa.

"Oh, I was never here." Sentro's voice bounces all around the room. "You see, that was what one would call an illusion, now let me present to you a game!"

"What kind of game?" Asks Sora.

"A race, against time." Says Sentro bluntly. "Behind the door is a maze. At the end of the maze is a control room that holds the button to saving your friends!

"So, you're saying that we just need to choose the right door?" Asks Sora.

"Correct, but be warned, the maze is a tricky one!" Says Sentro, chuckling. "If can't complete it in 15 minutes you become my slaves and if you win you can face me! Oh, if you die you die for real!"

"No, it's like SAO all over again." Says Asuna.

"Don't worry, we'll get through this alive." Says Kirito, smiling at his girlfriend. "Don't worry Mama." Says Yui, flying onto Asuna's shoulder. "Daddy will protect you!"

"Well," Says Sora, picking a dead guards sword. "you've got a deal!" With that, Sora chucks the sword at the door on the left side of the wall. With a thump, the door explodes into shards, revealing a gap in the wall.

"What?" Asks Klein.

"I get it." Says Kirito. "Generally people pick the left door, so the left door was actually a death trap while the right door is the maze."

"Exactly." Says Sora." "Now let's hurry, we've only got 15 minutes."

...

The maze wasn't what Sora had expected. It was damp, mossy and dark. The torches that lined the walls were very dim and didn't produce that much light. Sora sighed. Sure, he had been in real mazes on occasion, but compared to the real ones, this virtual maze was pretty well designed. There were traps and sometimes monster would appear before them, but unknown to Sora, the worst was to come.

"Ah!" Shouts Klein, as the group rounds another dead-end. "Ah, it's been only 3 minutes and we've come across 5 dead ends! At this rate we'll become slaves!"

"There's something different about this dead-end." Says Sora, placing his palm against the wall. "It's smoother than the rest."

"What's that got to do with anything?" Ask Sinon, annoyed.

"Well," Says Sora, moving his hand along the wall. "Then it'll be easier to find the odd brick." With that, Sora's hand stops on a brick, pushing it down quickly. Suddenly the wall burst opens revealing to passage ways, both dimly lit by torches.

"What now?" Asks Klein. "Shall we split into multiple groups?"

"Yes." Says Sora, heading for the right passage. "Steph, Shiro, Silica, Sinon and I will be group 1. Kirito, Asuna, Leafa, Jibril, Lisbeth and Klein your group 2."

"Good luck Sora." Says Kirito, heading to the left passage. "Don't screw up."

"I was about to say the same to you!" Says Sora Smiling. "We're gonna find the control room before you do."

"Ha, it's gonna be on our side." And with that, the two groups go their separate ways.

...

"I'm bored." Mutters Klein. "There hasn't been a monster for the past 5 minutes, just damn walls."

"Will you stop complaining!" Shouts Lisbeth angrily. "Man your so annoying."

"You know you love me." Says Klein, kissing Lisbeth on the forehead.

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't hit you." Says Lisbeth, punching her boyfriend in the gut.

"When did those two become lovey dovey?" Asks Leafa.

"Yesterday, during a boss fight." Says Jibril.

"How do you know this?!" Asks Leafa, astonished.

"Lisbeth told me." Says Jibril, causing Leafa to deadpan.

Suddenly a strange grinding sound fills the hall. "What's going on!" Shouts Asuna.

"Suddenly the walls open to reveal dozens and dozens of silver plated guards. "Shit!" Yells Kirito, dashing at a guard. "We let our guard down.

"You're telling me!" Yells Klein, countering an attack, moving in to kill a guard. On the other end of the hall, Lisbeth doges a slash, moving in to smash the guard. "Watch out!" Cries Leafa, slicing a guard with her sword. "Whew, you almost got stabbed."

"Thanks for the save." Says Lisbeth, glancing behind Leafa. "But now it's my turn to save yours!" With that, Lisbeth chucks her hammer, bashing into 3 guards right behind Leafa.

"Thanks!" Shouts Leafa, slicing a guard.

"I wonder how Sora and the others are doing." Says Asuna, killing a guard near by.

...

"These guards are so annoying!" Shouts Sora, one shooting another guard. "This is pointless!"

"And you were the one who said that killing dozens and dozens of guards helps one cope." Retorts Steph.

"Well, I'm not going to lose, either way!" Shouts Sora, killing another guard. "How many are you at Shiro?"

"35, brother." Says Shiro softly, dart away from an enemy.

"Damn it!" Cries Sora. "I'm at 30!"

"I'm at 37!" Shouts Steph.

"Noooooo!" Shouts Sora, collapsing onto his knees. "I'm not going to see your girls beautiful bodies.

"I don't see how that's a prize." Mutters Sinon, shooting a guard. "Your just being stupid."

"I agree." Says Silica. "It's really stupid."

"You guys are just being mean now!" Sobs Sora. "Argh! I'm going to win, for the girls body's!" With that Sora bursts off the ground, slicing through enemy after enemy.

"He's really into it, huh?" Asks Sinon, glancing Sora's way.

"Ya." Says Steph, beheading a guard.

"Watch out!" Cries Silica causing Steph to turn around, just in time to see an arrow come her direction. Suddenly Silica is in front of her, the arrow imbedding itself in Silica's chest.

"I'm glad you're safe." Says Silica, before being two more arrows slam into her chest.

"Sinon! That archer!" Shouts Steph, pointing towards Silica's shooter. Without delay, an arrow embeds itself inside the guards head, killing him instantly. Laying Silica carefully on the ground, Steph looks at her with worried eyes, Silica's health rapidly depleting. "Silica, speak to me. Please don't die on us."

"It's okay." Says Silica weakly. "I saved you just like Kirito did all those years back. Now promise me, that you won't die."

"I promise." Says Steph, tears running down her face. "We win for you, you can count on us!"

"Thank you!" Says Silica, stroking her hand on Steph's face, before exploding into crystals.

"No, why." Says Steph.

"Oi, Steph!" Shouts Sinon, shooting an approaching guard. "Snap out of it. Look I know you're depressed, and i've been through the same thing, but you need to snap out of it!"

"You're right." Says Steph, standing up, a newfound determination in her eyes. "I need to complete my promise to Silica, there's no way I'm going to die!"

...

"Crap, archers!" Shouts Klein, blocking an arrow. "Why does there have to be archers."

"Does it matter?" Asks Lisbeth, throwing her hammer at a guard, watching it bounce from guard to guard, hitting the wall behind her with a click. "Wait the wall just clicked." Suddenly the floor opens up, sending the guards and Lisbeth tumbling down. Quickly, and luckily, Lisbeth grabs the edge of the pit, hanging for dear life.

"Lisbeth!" Yells Klein from Lisbeth's side of the chasm. On the other side is Kirito, Asuna and Leafa. "Hang on Lisbeth, I'm coming for you." Says Klein, parading through the waves of archers and guards.

"Hurry Klein!" Yells Lisbeth. "I'm not sure how much longer I can hold on!"

"I'm coming!" Suddenly an arrow flies into Klein's leg, causing him to limp slightly. "Go away!" Shouts Klein, killing the source of the arrow.

Finally Klein reaches Lisbeth, grabbing her wrist just as she begins to lose her grip. "I got you now!"

"Klein," Says Lisbeth softly. "let me fall."

"No, I can't, you'll die." Says Klein, tears beginning to form.

"Klein, we don't have time for this!" Shouts Lisbeth angrily, despite the tears in her eyes. "Please, you need to save everyone, I'm just one person, if you don't do this, everyone will die."

"I' m sorry Lisbeth." Says Klein, letting go of her wrist. "Remember I'll always love you!"

"I love you too!" Shouts Lisbeth, disappearing into the darkness.

"Now than." Says a Klein, his face full of tears. "Oi Kirito! I'm going to go ahead, you go help Sora."

"Just og idiot!" Shouts Kirito, as Klein runs off. "Don't die okay! We'll all go for pizza later!"

"You betcha!" Shouts Klein, turning back, then we'll mourn our dead friend!"

...

"Well, we're here Shiro." Says Sora. Sora's killing had brought Blank to the end of their corridor, which lead to a door, that covienalty had the words 'Control Room' above it. "You think it's a trap." Shiro, just shakes her head.

"Well then what are we waiting for." With that Sora opens the door, walking into the room. Across from Sora's door in another door, on the wall in the middle is a giant computer screen and a control panel. "So this is the famous control room. Hm, where's the button we're looking for."

Suddenly the other door bursts open. Sora spins around, drawing his sword. "Who's there!" Suddenly a familiar red-headed samurai bursts through, sword drawn. "Oh, it' only you Klein." Klein stops, realizing that his opponent is actually Sora.

"Sora, what are you doing here?" Asks Klein puzzled.

"Well, I followed my corridor down." Replies Sora, shrugging.

"Wait, that means," Begins Klein. "we were tricked!"

"Looks like it." Says Sora. "We could've gone through either passageway."

"So he was trying to kill us off. Wait that means Lisbeth's sacrifice was for nothing!"

"Wait, Lisbeth is dead?" Asks Sora shocked.

"Yeah." Says Klein. A silence holds for a moment, before Shiro breaks it, tugging on his shirt. "Brother, the timer."

"Right!" Shouts Sora, scrambling to push the button. With a burst of light the trio disappears reappearing in the throne room. Around them their teammates appear. The cage holding the unconscious captives tumbles to the ground with a thud.

"Looks like you guys made it out okay." Says Kirito, a strained smile on his face. "Wait, where's Silica."

"She's dead." Says Steph, looking away. Suddenly a grinding sound sounds through the room, and the door in front of them disappears, revealing a throne, with Sentro sitting on top. "Oh, you made it through my allusion maze with only two casaulties. Truly an admirable feat." Suddenly his face transforms into an evil look. "But I'm afraid that many more of you are going to die today!" With a snap of his fingers, golden plated guards start to appear all over the room, holding various weapons.

"Shit." Says Klein. "There's so many of them."

"We'll deal with them." Says Sora, severely damaging a guard. Then we'll kill Sentro!" Nodding his friends spring into action. Killing guards left and right, Asuna and Leafa defending them with healing spells. At first it seemed like their efforts were paying off, but as they killed more guards, more would appear in the room, replacing their fallen teammates. Then Steph was killed.

...

"Die!" Shouts Sora, wildly slashing at Sentro. "Die bastard!"

"Yes, give me more hate, give me more!" Smirks Sentro, laughing crazily. "Yes, I can feel the power flowing inside of me."

"Oi!" Yells Sinon, killing a guard. "Sora snap out of it, you need to stop him!"

"Oh, I will stop him, I will kill him!" Shouts Sora, attack with Starburst stream.

"No, no-no boy." Says Sentro, hitting Sora with his staff, sending him flying. Sora picks himself up, then charges at Sentro again. this goes on for minutes, every time Sora gets hit harder and harder, his health depleting fast, soon it hits yellow, getting close to red. As Sora slowly gets up, Sentro approaches him, smiling wickedly. "I expected more from you boy. Shame you didn't last longer. Good bye boy." Sora braces for impact, but the hit never comes.

"Brother, you idiot." Says Shiro weakly. Sora looks up to see Shiro standing in front of him, her health nearing red. Shiro turn her head to look at Sora, a weak smile on her face. "Keep going brother." With that Shiro explodes into fragments, stunning Sora.

"Oh, will you look at that." Says Sentro, laughing. "The little sister sacrificed herself to save the brother. What are you going to do Blank?"

"I'm going to kill you!" Shouts Sora, picking his sword off the ground. Suddenly an arrow hits Sora in the back, causing him to turn around. Behind him is Sinon, her bow pointed at Sora.

"Oi, Sora!" Shouts Sinon. "You're going to get yourself killed, do you think Steph and Shiro would like that? You need to calm down and think. You say your strong so act like it Sora!"

"You're right." Says Sora, opening his inventory to grab a potion. "I'm an idiot." He pauses to drink his potion, his health returning to yellow, almost green. "I'm going to end this now." With that Sora, pushes off the ground, heading towards Sentro.

"Attacking me from the front again boy? Foolish." Suddenly Sora veers left, slicing the god in the arm. "Oh, so you're getting serious now."

"That's right!" Shouts Sora. "I'm going to beat you, me and Shiro!"

"Shiro?" Asks Sentro. "I killed her, did I-" Suddenly an aura appears around Sora, a transparent Shiro appearing next to Sora.

"Blank can't be separated, not even by death!" Shouts Sora, gripping Shiro's ghost hand tightly. "Let's do this Shiro!" Shiro nods, gripping her sword in her left hand, the duo charges at Sentro at full speed, swiping at Sentro.

"Looks like I will need to use my trump card." Says Sentro. "Go Energy Mode!" Suddenly Sentro explodes into pure energy, sending Blank flying. "When I'm in energy Mode, I cannot be destroyed!"

"Is that so?" Asks Sora. "What if we combated you with," Sora pauses for a moment.

"What are you waiting for boy?" Yells Sentro. "Spit it out already!"

"Happiness." Says Sora, causing everyone to laugh. "What, I'm serious."

"Boy, you can't beat me with happiness, especially after the losses you have faced today." Says Sentro, his voice wavering. "Besides, with all the anger I've consumed, there's no way a little bit of happiness can beat me!"

"That's where you're wrong!" Says Sora, turning to face his friends. "Everyone think of your happiest memories!" His friends nod, a bit unsure of Sora's plan, closing there eyes, trying their best to think of happy memories.

Sora smiles, as Sentro's energy body flickers, shrinking a bit in size. "My turn." Says Sora as he closes his eyes, concentrating on his happiest thoughts. Meeting Shiro for the first time, winning all those games with her, entering Disboard and starting a new life, winning the wild beasts piece, all those beautiful girls, dating Steph, entering ALO, fighting alongside Kirito and the others.

"No, my body!" Shouts Sentro, breaking Sora concentration. Before Sora's eyes, Sentro's body shrinks, becoming a human sized flame. "Alright Shiro time to finish this!" Shouts Sora, nodding to ghost Shiro, the two of them charging at Sentro. Then on impact, the room explodes with light.

When the light clears, a man stands before Sora and his friends, a familiar looking boy stands before the crew, a small fluttering flame in the palm of his hand. "You beat Sora." Says Tet, grinning.

"Looks like I did, Tet. "Says Sora. "But we lost so many today."

"Worry not Sora, I can bring them back." Says Tet, his smile fading.

"There's a catch Sora, don't do it." Says Kirito, almost instantly.

"There always is," Says Sora. "but to save everyone, the price is one I'm willing to pay." With that Sora turns to face Tet. "Oi Tet, is the price my soul?"

"Yes." Says Tet, his face filled with guilt. "I will take your soul of this life and use that to bring your friends back, with that you will be given a new life."

"Then I'll do it."

"Sora!" Shouts Sinon, causing Sora to turn. "You idiot, you promised Steph, you can't die!" A tear drops from her eye, then other. "If you die, none of us will forgive you, not even the ones who are dead!"

"I'm sorry Sinon, everyone, but I have to do this." Says Sora sadly, turning away from his friends.

"You better come find us in your new life!" Shouts Klein, tears in his eyes. "We're all going for pizza after, I expect you to come!"

"Ya, you perverted rascal!" Shouts Asuna, tears dripping fast.

"We'll be waiting." Says Kirito, gripping Asunas hand tightly.

"So will I Master." Says Jibril.

"See you soon guys!" Says Sora, a smile on his face. "Tet, I'm ready!"

"Good bye old friend." With those words Sora disappears, then 5 figures appear on the ground, unconscious.

2 months later

Shiro walks down the cold city street, hugging herself to keep warm. All around her the market place is bustling, up ahead is the castle gates. Shiro hurries her pace a bit, as she rushes into the warm castle she bumps into a familiar set of breasts. "Oh Shiro!" Says Steph.

"Steph." Says Shiro quietly. "Your out of your room."

"Yeah, I thought it was time I returned to that world." Says Steph. "Sora wouldn't want me to keep lying around, besides, our 3 month break is almost up."

"Yeah." Says Shiro. "We're almost done though, just 10 more levels."

"Well, I'll join in!" Says Steph, offering a weak smile.

...

"So what do you want?" Asks Lisbeth, pointing a finger at Klein. "I told you not to bug me on work days."

"That's not fair at all babe." Says Klein, pouting. "You're always working."

"That's not true-" Suddenly a bells chime goes through the shop, cutting Lisbeth off. Walking in is none other then Steph and Shiro. "Steph!" Says Lisbeth and Klein at the same time, stunned.

"Hey." Says Steph waving.

"What are you doing here?" Asks Lisbeth.

"Well, I just realized how battered up my armor is." Says Steph, causally. "So I thought I'd get it fixed up." Suddenly the two rush to Steph, embracing her through tears.

"Welcome back Steph." Says Lisbeth. "We missed you."

"It's good to be back." Says Steph, smiling.

...

"this is a pretty fancy party you set up Steph." Says Krito, grabbing a sandwich off a table. "Especially so soon after you got back."

"Stop teasing her Kirito. She probably really wants to go back to battle." Says Asuna, stealing Kirito's sandwich.

"Hey, that's mine!" Yells Kirito, trying to steal it back.

"You guys are so cute." Says Steph, laughing. The two swordsmen stop to stare at Steph, then burst out laughing. "You know, I wish Sora was here. He would be happy for you two, I wonder where he is."

...

"Ugh, I had that dream a again." Mutters Aronata Sora Ikiyaba, climbing out of bed again. "I wonder, who is that red haired girl exactly?" Aronata shakes his head, smiling slightly. "Her breasts sure were huge though." With that, Aronata grabs his Nerve Gear off his desk. "Well, guess I should go play some Gun Gale, if I want to win this year."

...

Tet sat above Disboard on top of a cloud, his eyes glistened in gold. "I've found him." Says Tet, his eyes glowing. "Now we will bring you back Sora!"
