A/N: This story takes place after Season 2, Episode 18: The Immunity Syndrome. I know you guys are probably expecting more stories/chapters that are based on the TV episodes themselves, but with a huge majority of them I wouldn't know how in the heck Karmen would be able to interact in them, considering most seem to focus on only a few characters at a time. Anyways, I'll try and work on that later, but for now, I hope y'all enjoy!

I'm also terribly sorry for not getting this out sooner but my muse kind of died for this. I also apologize for how short this on is, but I promise it won't always be like this.

Karmen tried to look as inconspicuous as possible as she approached Pavel's quarters. Not that there was really a need to, comsidering that several members of the Enterprise were off on a very well needed and well earned shore leave. There was still the occasional crew member straggling along the corridors of the ship, though, so perhaps that was why she felt the need to not be obvious about things. Well, then again, it could just be the reason for her visit to Pavel's quarters that make her feel on edge as well.

It had been almost three months since she and Pavel had admitted their affection for one another and not a single person, aside from Janice Rand, knew just how deep their 'friendship' truly was. They both had agreed that they should keep their relationship a secret for a while longer, especially from the Captain.

There hadn't been very many relationships aboard the Enterprise for Karmen or Pavel to know just how Kirk would react to the two of them being together, nor did they wish to find out at this rate. Well, not that their relationship was something that needed to be kept a secret, either, but they just preferred that the Captain didn't know about it right at this point in time.

Looking both ways down the corridor she knocked gently on the door leading to Pavel's quarters. "Hello?"

The door whooshed open almost instantly and Karmen was pulled in almost gracefully. The door closed behind her and she was met with a tight embrace, one that she returned just as quickly as she received it. "I'm alright, Pavel."

"Da, I know, Karmeen..."

She briefly remembered how worried Pavel had been when he had heard she was in Sick Bay after the 'incident' happened with that... Creature. Nobody on the ship knew what it was, only that they were glad it had been dealt with and that nobody had been killed. The whole Enterprise crew were given Shore Leave after that; some went planet-side while others stayed on the ship. She and Pavel were one of the very few who decided to stay.

He pulled back and placed a chaste kiss on her lips. "Eet ees good to see you."

She smiled. "I didn't worry you too much, did I?"

"Just a leetle..."

She kissed his cheek. "Well, no need to worry. Scotty had only sent me to Sick Bay because my arm got cut. Nothing too serious."

"I am glad, zen."

He kissed her again and guided her to the bed. "Now, I got us something wery special."

"Oh?"

He nodded and took a small box off of the pillow next to him. "I vent down to ze planet and I got us these."

Karmen raised an eyebrow as he pulled the golden ribbon off of the box and took of the lid. She then cocked her head to the side. "Interesting..."

She took one of the small treats from the box and she cocked her head again. Her nostrils were filled with a sweet smell and her mouth began to water. "Another type of sweet?"

Pavel only smiled. "Try eet, Karmeen."

Karmen smiled at him and, closing her eyes, took a slow, tantalizing bite into the sweet. Almost instantaneously she released a deep, but silent moan as the sweet seemed to melt right on her tongue. "Oh my goodness, Pavel..."

"Zey are called 'Truffle Melts', Karmeen."

She licked at her lips. "'Truffle Melts'..." She repeated, biting into the last piece of the sweet treat. "Absolutely delicious..." She breathed.

She opened her eyes to see that Pavel had helped himself to one of the truffles, releasing a small moan of his own. "Da..." He agreed with her.

Karmen reached out to take another truffle and her fingers touched with his own and she blushed. Pavel, having been struck with an idea, took the truffle and bit into it. Then, before Karmen could take a truffle of her own, he tilted her chin up and kissed her, taking her by surprise. She quickly recovered from her initial shock and deepened their kiss, holding back the groan that threatened to escape her throat as she tasted the truffle that Pavel had bitten into on her own tongue.

Pavel quickly set the box of truffles off onto the nightstand beside his bed and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to his body. Karmen's wings briefly fluttered at the gesture and she sighed contentedly, brushing her fingers through his soft hair. "Pav?"

"Mm?"

She leaned her head back as Pavel kissed her cheek, then her neck. She suddenly felt breathless. "H-Hikaru had asked about us again..."

"Mhm, vat about him?"

"W-well, I was thinking we..." She pushed at his shoulders gently and he stopped to look at her. "Shouldn't we maybe tell him? About us?"

"Vhy?" He asked her, looking almost confused.

"He's out best friend, and I think he deserves to know."

Pavel sighed, realizing she was right. "Yes, ve vill tell him." Then, with a playful gleam in his eyes, he leaned back and brought Karmen down with him. "But after."

She playfully smacked his arm. "Pavel..."

They both laughed and they kissed again, their tongues dancing with one another's, their breath mingling, hands roaming.

Pavel's hands grazed over Karmen's arms, making her shiver. Her arm feathers were all fluffed up and were incredibly sensitive to the touch. And dang it, he knew it! He had asked about her body feathers, once, and she explained that whenever they were fluffed that usually meant she was happy or content, and she had slipped up and mentioned how sensitive they could be when they were in that state. He rarely ever did, but he would sometimes graze his hands over them whenever they were together.

Flicking her wings for some leverage, Karmen brought them onto their sides so she could wrap her leg around his hip and her wings resting safely over the edge of the bed. Pavel never missed a beat and was quick to readjust himself. He briefly broke away from her. "Your vings-"

"Are fine."

He smiled. "Good."

He grasped at her bottom, causing her to gasp. "Pavel!" She exclaimed, a nervous laugh escaping her. He kissed her again, relishing in the small moan that she released.

Absolutely perfect... They both thought.

Sulu dashed down the corridor, just barely dodging past a crew member. He apologized briefly before taking off down the corridor again. He just had to tell Pavel about this! He had found a whole new species of flora on the planet and he wished to show him.

Once he had reached Pavel's door he stopped to take a few breaths, having lost them during his jog through the Enterprise. He stood up straight and raised his hand to knock on his door, but paused when he heard a noise from within Pavel's quarters.

He stopped to listen for a brief moment. "Chekov?" He said.

He heard laughter coming from within Pavel's quarters, and he knew there was someone else in there with him. "Chekov." He tried again.

"Pavel!"

Sulu froze and his face turned pale as he heard the voice. He easily recognized that voice, and the laughter that followed it.

He didn't know whether to feel shocked that they were together, or happy that they were together. He always knew that Pavel had feelings for Karmen, but he didn't know that they were now romantically involved.

He heard a small moan and he blushed, taking that as his cue to leave. With haste, he took off back down the corridor. He also didn't know they were that romantically involved.

Pavel and Karmen looked around the cafeteria, eyes passing over various empty tables. "There he is, at the far end." She said, pointing across the room.

They both waved at Sulu and he waved back, albeit nervously. They were both quick in making their way over and they placed themselves directly across from him. "How are you doing today, Hikaru?" She asked.

Sulu shrugged. "I'm doing alright." His eyes darted between Karmen and Pavel. "How about you two?"

"Good." The both replied in unison, making each other laugh.

"Actually, Sulu, ve both have something to tell you."
