It was midnight. The moon shone brightly outside, giving the forest an eerie glow. Dipper pulled up his hood as he stood in front of the Mystery Shack. He walked around and stopped in front of the gift shop door. He was about to reach for the door knob when a thought stopped him. What if he met Mabel or Stan in there? What if they saw him? He never thought of that before!
What if they asked him about Bill and how he got here? What will he tell them then?
Taking a deep breath, Dipper shook those thoughts from his mind and tried to focus. He had already made a deal with Bill and he couldn't back down when he was so close, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something really bad was going to happen soon.
Wasting no time, Dipper opened the back door and made his way into the gift shop. (Good thing it wasn't locked) The lights were off and room was quiet. "They're probably asleep."
Dipper made sure not to make a sound as he stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
"Alright, I just need to get into the attic and find the journal." He muttered under his breath. Making his way through the shop and up the stairs, Dipper slowly opened the door to the attic room and peeked inside.
The first thing he saw was the triangle shaped window which looked oddly like the dream demon he was helping. He then looked over to see his sister sleeping in her bed with one of her stuffed animals by her side. A sense of guilt filled his heart as he recalled the worried look on her face when Bill came and took him away. He frowned and walked inside, lost in his regrets.
"I'm sorry, sis. I'll make this right. I promise." He smiled sadly as he watched her mumbling something in her sleep. He then turned around and reached under his own bed for the familiar Journal 3. He examined it for a moment before hiding it inside his jacket.
Glancing at his sister one more time, he turned around and walked out of the door.
Suddenly, as soon as he made it downstairs, Dipper felt a jolt of pain at the back of his head and he cried out, falling to his knees. He closed his eyes and clutched his head as the sharp pain continued for over a minute before ceasing.
Panting, Dipper stood up rubbing the back of his head carefully. He slowly made his way towards the door and out of the shack wondering where did the pain come from…

"Okay, this should be all of them," Dipper said as he lined the three journals on the grass. They were both in the woods and Bill arrived not long ago.
"Excellent work, Pine Tree!" Bill exclaimed, looking pleased with this.
Dipper smiled and stood up. "Alright, Bill. I brought all three journals so now you need to keep your end of the deal and leave my family alone." He stated.
Bill grinned. "Sure! Let's just shake hands to…seal the contract." He said and stretched a flaming hand towards the preteen.
Dipper eyed Bill's hand warily for a second and then shook his hand. Big mistake.
Suddenly, Bill's eye darkened and he dove inside Dipper, causing him to stumble back a bit.
"W-What are you doing!?" Dipper stammered as he clutched his chest.
Bill cackled inside his head. "Oh nothing, Pine Tree. I just need your body. Ya see, I got big plans to work on, but I can't do anything since I'm trapped in the mindscape. The only way for me to exist in the physical plane is to have a human vessel and that'd be you..."
"What!?" Dipper exclaimed in shock. "But why? I thought we had a deal!"
"Look, kid. Your family has caused too much trouble for me to ignore and especially Stanford!" Bill shouted. "I can't let them get away with that now, can I? All I needed were the three journals and now thanks to you I have them all."
Dipper's eyes widen in horror at what he had done. He yelped and clutched his chest as his body began shaking. He felt a force pulling him away and he couldn't resist it for long. The demon was taking over.
He shouldn't have listened to Bill. He should thought another way to fix this. Now everyone will get hurt because he blindly trusted a demon!
My fault.
Everything is my fault.
"I'm so sorry…" he said weakly.
And he gave in.

Okay, going into the woods in the middle night wasn't the best idea Mabel could have thought of, but after everything that happened she couldn't stop herself from going. She needed to find Dipper, needed to see him, especially after the nightmare she had earlier.
In the nightmare, Dipper was in so much pain and Bill was the one hurting him. It felt so real, so vivid and it worried her. Something was wrong and she knew it!
That's why she was here, to find Dipper and make sure he was safe, even after everything that happened, he was still her brother.
Since she was in hurry she only managed to bring her flashlight and back pack with her. She debated whether to tell Stan about this, but decided against it.
Sorry Stan, but I have to do this….
It was then she heard a yell and her eyes widen when she recognized who it was.
"DIPPER!"
Immediately, She sprinted towards the voice almost tripping a few times as she ran through the dark forest. Soon enough, a short figure came into view. It was him, it was her brother!
"Dipper!" She smiled in relief. She wanted to hug him and scold him for making them worry so much, but when he turned to face her she stopped in her tracks. Something was wrong with his eyes. They didn't look like the brown ones she remembered. Her brother's mouth was also twisted into wide grin that was too close for comfort and it made her uneasy. Something was definitely wrong.
"Hello, Shooting star…."
