Hello! Now, that I got your attention there is a few things I really need to tell you:
1) Thank you for all the reviews/favorite/followers as I have now over 100 followers and I am really happy about it so thank you.
2) People have asked me if Lucy will be getting her keys back and I am saying that Lucy WILL get her keys back but not in the way you expect. The moment Lucy gets her keys back will be VERY important and for now you have to wait.
3) Some people believe that Lisanna is lying in this fan fiction but I never did say that. Like Carla said in chapter 3 in this fan fiction ' I don't think what Lisanna said is right. I'm not saying Lisanna is lying but something is defiantly wrong.' There is more to Lucy getting kicked out of the guild then you would believe (I can't say what as it will be giving out spoilers)
4) Any question you have just ask and I will reply as long as it doesn't give any spoilers away :)
I still have a few important things to say but I will leave that to the end of the chapter. For now, I will let you read! Hope you like this long-awaited chapter!
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail but Scarlet Destiny is all mine :)
Lucy stared at Ren wondering how the hell she had gotten into this. I mean it has only been a day (well, maybe a half) since she had joined Scarlet Destiny. And, now here she was mid-day after she joined on her first mission. Currently, she and Ren were on a train heading for a small town called 'Oshia'. Lucy had never been there but Ren has and when they had first got onto the train he had gone on and on about how big and beautiful it was.
It wasn't just Lucy and Ren on this mission. Happy had also decided to come and Ren had not objected. He liked that blue cat a lot, Lucy had realized. Before she had left for this mission a few things had been settled. The first was that Kouta had decided that he needed to go back to the dark forest to collect the herbs that he lost. Wendy realizing that she was the reason that Kouta had lost the herbs in the first place had offered to go and help him which he accepted.
Sarah had been worried that another monster might attack even if it was shining brightly outside, so she managed to persuade Rose and Ivy to leave their tea long enough to go with Kouta and Wendy to protect them. With Wendy was Carla who also followed but she was curious on the healing herbs as well.
Jared had decided to show Lily their training room in another part of the guild. Jared did want to asses everyone's abilities before even letting them go on mission's but when Ren had turned his deadly puppy dog eyes on him, their was no way he could refuse Ren. He decided that Lily would be the first he would test.
And, here she was. Lucy stared at Ren who was sitting opposite of her on the train. He was literally bouncing on the balls of his feet as he waved his arms animatedly as he was telling a thrilling story to Happy about an earlier mission. It seemed that even the most simplest of things could get him excited.
"And, then the building exploded! Because of that, I was surrounded by fire and had to get out quick. I had to do it all by myself as Kuro was unconscious! I was all alone and I had to save Kuro at the same time too."
Happy had stars in his eyes as he was getting more into the story by each second,
"And, what happened next?!" Happy asked looking up on Ren.
Before Ren could reply a voice interrupted over the train-com saying it would be five minutes before reaching Oshia. As soon that happened it suddenly came to Lucy how real this was,
"Ren, we can't do this! There are so many things that can go wrong!" Lucy said her voice drowned in panic.
"No there isn't. What could go wrong?" Ren said in complete obliviousness
Lucy huffed loudly and crossed her arm and glared at him,
"Well for starters... We don't even know where this group of thieves are! You said this town was big... How are we meant to find a group of thieves in a big town?"
"Don't worry. We'll be able to find them easily."
Lucy could feel her eye twitching,
"Oh yeah, how?"
Again, Ren couldn't get his sentence out as at that exact moment two train conductors dressed in similar pristine blue uniforms, met in front of Lucy, Ren and Happy's carriage.
"Have you heard?" the younger-looking train conductor said as he looked at his work partner, his voice a bit too loud. This caused Lucy, Ren and Happy's attention towards the pair of them.
"What was that boy? Speak clearly. Heard what?" the older-looking man asked as he learned towards his work-partner.
"I was saying that have you heard about 'rough'? Apparently, the group of thieves have taken Oshia's main bank... with people still inside! They have taken hostages so the council soldiers can't help because 'rough' threatened to kill the hostages if they interfered. No one can help them now." the younger-looking conductor explained.
"Why those darn rotten hooligans! In my day, if people were so much to speak about doing something like that they would get beaten to a pulp. And, what cowardness of the police! My, if I was still young I would have taken out this hooligan group the moment they showed themselves." the older-conductor criticized loudly.
"Yeah, when was your time? A hundred years ago." the younger-conductor mumbled as he quickly past the older-men barely containing a snigger.
"Boy, what was that? Come back here and I'll show you how to respect your elders!" the older-conductor shouted as he began to follow the other path's waving his fist threateningly.
Lucy looked back at Ren who had adopted a smug look, both arms crossed over his broad chest and one eyebrows raised.
"Lucy, what was the group of thieves name again?" Ren said teasingly leaning forward.
"Don't mind Lucy, Ren. She always gets worried before a mission and when she does go on a mission she always becomes a scaredy-cat half-way through." Happy butted in his voice light and joking so it wasn't actually offensive.
"Shut up you two." Lucy mumbled as she quickly looked at the secrecy passing by the window thinking up of her back-up argument "Well, Ren... it said that some people in the 'rough' group has magic. What do you say about that?"
"We will beat them with our own magic. Like I said, nothing will happen to us." Ren answered firmly.
Silence.
"But... Lucy we have to get there quick. No one can die... Okay? I don't want anyone to get hurt. We'll save them and destroy the 'rough' group."
Lucy head dropped to her chest. Ren was way too stubborn when he got an idea into his head. And, then he managed to say the idea in such a way that people can't say no. He was right though. The whole situation had changed. They had to save all the people who are hostages as well.
The sun was now hot against her side. It seemed even hotter in Oshia than back home. Home, Lucy thought abstractly as her eyes trained on her shadow-self. Things were so different. She was on a train without a certain boy getting really sick to the point where another one of her former friends would have knocked him out. What was her home? Lucy couldn't tell yet. Could it be with Scarlet Destiny? She did feel comfortable now but what if that changed? What if she doesn't belong there? Well, only time would give her answers. But... she didn't want to wait. She wanted to know now. She wanted to know how to get rid of feeling lost. Lucy just wanted to know where she belonged.
Her eyes were still on her shadow when it happened. She jerked upwards in shocked and stared at her shadow in dismay. No...way. She leaned forward a bit and her shadow did the same. Physically, there was nothing wrong with it. Her shadow had the same structure as she did, it was still as dark as darkness. Yet, for a second there she was sure her shadow... flickered. Moved when she didn't. But, that wasn't possible. Her shadow couldn't just flicker and move. No, it just couldn't. Maybe she just dreamed it. However, she was sure she saw her shadow flicker and moved just a bit to the right.
"Oi, Lucy. We're here! Lucy, what's wrong?" Ren asked as he leaned forward waving a hand in front of her untrained eyes.
"Huh?" Lucy looked up at Ren and realized they arrived at their destination. She gave a quick glance at her shadow before looking up at Ren, "Oh yeah. Let's go."
She gave another strange glance at her shadow. She must have imagined it. She must have.
"Hey... Ren, I think Lucy's finally lost it. Why is she staring weirdly like that?" Happy asked innocently enough, except nothing was innocent about the way his paw covered his mouth to stop any laughter coming out of it.
"Why you damn cat!" Lucy shouted as she ran towards Ren and Happy who were getting off the train.
Ren was right. Oshia was beautiful. The builders were very modern and gleamed because of the sun that was hitting it at the right places. But even though it was modern the town still held its natural beauty. There was a path of trees right in the middle of a huge street that separated in two paths. There was not a lot of people walking on these two streets even though Ren said they should be. It was the main street of Oshia.
This made them worry. Ren was practically dragging Lucy on the ground as he grabbed her wrist and started to run with her lagging behind towards the Oshia's bank. Lucy actually was jealousy that Happy could fly. At the end of the main street was where Oshia's bank was. It was a big building and it was easy to tell it was built a long time a go. Long pillars held the building up, white and pure. There was a grand platform where the opening door was made out of glass at the top of the platform. The main problem of all this was that the building was surrounded by soldiers. But, it wasn't just the soldiers. They were pushing back a group if Oshia's residents who were screaming, shouting, raving and crying.
They were in a mist of panic. Lucy could barely tell what was going on. It seemed that they were very worried about the hostages. The soldiers were having a hard time to keep them back. Lucy knew that this was just making things worse. She knew the tense situation they must be in but they were making it more difficult by acting like this. Suddenly, Lucy realized how big this was again. She had to help. She had to save all the people who were taken hostage. She had to save them for all their family members that were worrying about them. But, how was Lucy going to get past all the soldiers around the building?
"Hey Ren, how do w-" Lucy's sentence was cut off as she looked to the side where Ren was. Or, where he should have been. The space next to her was empty and she could almost imagine black arrows pointing at the black space. She wasn't the only one who noticed that Ren was gone.
"Eh Lucy! Where is Ren? Where did he go?" Happy asked his voice full of panic.
Before Lucy could reply a loud voice answered for her,
"Lucy! Happy! Over here!"
Both heads snapped towards the voice and then simultaneous cried out in shock. Ren had somehow managed to scale the bank building so he was on top of the roof of the bank that was part glass. He was waving his hands to make sure that they had saw him.
"H-how d-did-" Happy started but Lucy interrupted,
"I have no idea," Pause "But I'm guessing we should follow him."
Happy nodded his head before his wings sprung out. He easily managed to pick Lucy up from the back of her cloths and started to fly her towards Ren making sure to stay out of the vision of the guards. It was way harder than possible,
"Luuucy! Your sooo heavy! What do you eat?" Happy complained
Lucy was quick to retaliate,
"Shut it you damn cat!"
Happy ignored her and managed to reach the top of the roof in front of Ren without getting caught. Ren gazed upon Happy with stars in his eyes,
"That was so cool Happy."
Happy smiled proudly at getting complimented. Lucy quickly looked through the glass she was standing on. The view was blurry seeing as the glass hadn't been cleaned for a long time. But, she could make out two groups of people. One was standing on the lest side against the wall, huddled together. If Lucy had to guess, she was sure these were the hostages. There were a loads of them too. There had to be at least twenty of them. On the other side, was a group of people scattered out, a few were near the huddled group and a few were moving and others seemed to be on stand. This must be the thieves 'rough'.
"Okay, now all we have to do is break the glass and get inside." Ren said as he raised a hand in a fist.
Lucy let out a shriek staring at Ren like he is crazy,
"Are you insane Ren? We can't break the glass."
"Eh? Why not?"
"Because we're standing on it." Silence. Ren had a look of thought on his face which Ren took as a good sign.
"I guess your right." Ren replied sullenly.
At least Lucy wasn't getting dragged into anything stupid and dangerous.
She thought too soon. Suddenly, a loud creaking sound filled the atmosphere. Both Ren and Lucy looked down towards the sound, the latter with dread, only to see the little cracks appearing on the glass. It seemed the poor little paneled glass couldn't take both their weight standing on it at the same time.
"Oh crap."
With no time to move out-of-the-way, the glass finally grave way breaking in million of pieces. Gravity worked instantly on Ren and Lucy and they both fell mercilessly towards the floor of the bank. They sliced through the air screaming although Ren seemed to be laughing at the same time. Happy flew down to try to catch them but he reacted way too late.
Lucy closed her eyes when realizing she was going to smash on to the floor. She was waiting for immense pain that was sure to come. Except... it didn't. She felt something impact on her chest along with various other parts of her body like her arms and legs. That didn't cause that much pain. It did knock the breath out of her lungs. She heard a loud groan of pain but apart from that there was only darkness and silence.
Once Lucy had managed to regain her stolen breath, she slowly opened her eyes. She instantly realized that she was on top of Ren who was now underneath her, his blue eyes opened wide, pupils dilated. Her face was directly on top of his and there wasn't much room between them. Lucy could feel her cheeks heat up at the position. They were very close. Too close.
Ren didn't seem to notice since he must have been in major pain. When he doesn't respond for a few moments Lucy is sure he might have bang his head a bit too hard. She's about to speak when he blurted out,
"That was so cool! Lucy, we have to do that again!"
"No way. We almost died." was Lucy's automatic response.
Realizing that they were still in the same embarrassing position, Lucy could feel her cheeks flame up yet again. She quickly scrambled off of Ren as fast as she could which got her a slightly confused daze look. It seemed that Ren may be slightly out of it.
"What the hell?!" shouted a deep voice.
Lucy, Ren and Happy (who realized that the previous two were fine) turned towards the voice to realize it was a guy with a red mohark who spoke. His hair stood out the most but he also had piercing all over his pale face such as two on his eye-brows. His mouth shape was huge and his eyes were a dark amber color. In his hands was a brown club with various scratches on it.
"Who the hell are you?" the man shouted as he switched his glance from Lucy, Ren and Happy to the ceiling which they fell from.
Suddenly, one of the other people that were standing up came towards the guy with the mohark. He had an eye-patch across on of his eyes and was wearing a white shirt with black shorts. His hair was a shaggy brown and life-less just like his eyes.
"Raphael who are they? Are they council soldiers? Why the hell did they fall out of the sky?" the man asked.
Raphael, the guy with the mohawk looked at the other eye-patched man like he was insane,
"How am I meant to know that? I am just as surprised as you are?"
Ren managed to get to his feet the dazed look off his face. He looked towards the men angrily realizing they were most likely in the thieves group,
"Which one of you is the leader of 'rough'?" Ren demanded his face full of focus.
Raphael stepped forward a smug look on his face,
"I am... So, why do you want to know?"
His answer was a angry shout,
"We're mages from Scarlet Destiny. And, we're here to stop you from stealing and hurting anybody."
Raphael just laughed mockingly in return looking at Ren with disbelief,
"Eh? Scarlet Destiny? Never heard of it."
Ren's hands curled into fist in anger. This wasn't going well with him. Lucy meanwhile was looking around the room. She noticed that the group that was huddled were crouched on the floor, still as a rock. They were the hostages and were various ages. Lucy could see some of them were little kids. It was easy to tell they were all scared to death.
"Ren," Lucy whispered "I understand your angry but we have to save the hostages first."
Lucy wasn't sure Ren had listened to her but then his shoulders seemed to relax slightly.
"Stop this... Please. Give us the hostages. We don't want to cause any harm to you."
Raphael just scoffed and stepped forward arrogantly,
"You can't tell us what to do. Do you even have any idea how much money is stored into this bank? It would at least set all of us for life. These hostages are the only way that the council soldiers won't interfere. And, if some of them happen to die... it won't matter. Some sacrifices have to be made."
Raphael could not have said wronged words. Ren looked like he was about to lunge and tear out his throat. It seemed he hated people who did things that were immoral and evil.
"Your going to pay for saying that." Ren said simply but the threat was clear in his voice.
Raphael just laughed. He stepped forward towards Ren and was about to say something when the eye-patched man butted in,
"Raphael.. Wait. They said they are mages. They might be really strong and we won't have enough power. Plus, I think I've heard of Scarlet Destiny before. I think they say that is the guild full of people with unique and strong magic."
Raphael looked down at the eye-patched man with an angry look on his face. The atmosphere had done reached the pinnacle of stress. The people in the group of thieves 'Rough' had a scared, tense look on their faces.
"Does it look like I care? So what if their power? We've got Jumaba who will easily destroy them. Nobody can beat Jumaba remember?"
As soon as Raphael spoke of this Jumaba the tension seemed to easy out of the rest of the group. Big, uneasy grins came on their faces. Lucy did not like the look of that. Who is this Jumaba? And, why does all at them seem at ease at the name of him?
"Bring it, little boy. I would like to see you be beaten by Jumaba. It will take you down a peg or two." Raphael shouted.
He dug into his pocket and quickly brought out an item shaped into a ball. The ball was a green color and looked kind of scaly. It fit into the mans hand perfectly. Lucy watched as Raphael drew his hand back and quickly chuck the ball a few feet in front of him.
The moment the ball hit the floor, a big huge cloud exploded from it. The cloud hit Ren, Lucy and a flying Happy. Each of them coughed as the smoky cloud surrounded them. It stung their eyes and they couldn't see through it no matter what. What the hell was happening?
Luckily, the smoky cloud didn't last long. As soon as it had come, it seemed to disperse leaving everyone in their earlier positions. Through Lucy's blurry, watery eyes she could just make out a huge thing blocking her view from Raphael. Then her eyes widened still full of water as she realized what it was.
The thing resembled a big green Caterpillar. It was huge in size taking up half the room of the building. It's body was fat and full and it had millions of tiny legs on each side of its body that was shaped in big balls. It's eyes were big and green that took up most of his circle face. It's mouth was small but filled with sharp teeth. Two big antennas sprung from its bald forehead with small black balls at the end. This was Jumaba.
Jumaba seemed to gain different reactions. The hostages looked at it in shock, eyes wide and unblinking. Some bodies started to shake in fear. Lucy and Happy seemed to have similar reactions as the hostages being in shock and very scared. The people in the group called 'rough' were more than happy and they were cheering madly on for this Jumaba.
Lucy looked at Ren's back wondering what his reaction would be. And, again she was not expecting what he would say,
"That is amazing! Lucy, we have to get one of those."
Lucy's jaw dropped to the ground before she shouted,
"No way!"
"Eh? Really?"
"Yes really. We don't even know what that is! Why would you even one it? Do you really think Jared and Sarah would let you bring that into the guild?"
"Of course they will... I think. Well, if I convince Sarah then Jared will have to say yes." Ren replied with a pout.
"Oi! Stop ignoring us. I thought you said you were going to defeat us. Well, then you shouldn't just stand around. Jumaba go after him." Raphael.
Jumaba made some sort of agreement noise before it seemed to take a deep breath by chucking its head back. When its head went forward, Jumaba's mouth opened and green liquid spat out of its mouth and headed straight to Ren in a very fast speed.
Ren acted fast and quickly ran towards the right quickly dodging the spit. He managed to do it and the green liquid splattered on to the floor. Instantly, the green liquid did something to the marble floor. Smoke started to raise from it and the floor seemed to be melting with the liquid.
"It's like acid." Lucy whispered looking at it.
"Your right. That's Jumaba main power. His spit is like acid. It can burn through anything and everything. Cool ain't it," Raphael started before laughing, "You can't win against him."
Ren smiled smugly his hands into fist once again,
"Oh yeah? Well look at me do it." Then Ren turned to Lucy. "Lucy I'll take care of Jumaba. You take care of all the other people in 'rough'. Okay?"
Before, Lucy could reply Ren ran towards the far side of the room away from the hostages. He done this to make sure one of them will not get accidentally hurt. Raphael was the only one that followed staying behind Jumaba who had managed to crawl over to Ren.
Lucy looked at Ren worriedly towards Ren. Would he be able to defeat someone like that?
"Hey girly." said a male voice mockingly causing Lucy to turn left away from Ren.
In front of her was a group of male men all looking badder then the one next to them. Their was at least twenty of them and they were grinning at her.
"Want to play?" the man with the eye-patch grinning madly.
Happy flew in front of Lucy his body stiff. His hands were flung out on either side in a protective gesture.
"Don't worry Lucy. I'll protect you."
A moment after he spoke it, the group of men looked at each other and grinned menacingly. Then they looked back at Happy and Ren. Simultaneous each of them brought out hidden weapons. There was assorted weapons of swords, daggers, axes. There were even a few spears. Each of them was very sharp and deadly.
"Err, Lucy I think you should take this one. Yeah, you should. It would be good practice. Good luck!" Happy said as he suddenly appeared a few feet behind Lucy one of his paw fingers up facing the ceiling.
"You damn scared cat!" Lucy shouted looking at him. What great help he was!
Lucy turned towards the men and their gleaming smiles. She was scared to be honest but it was much better than facing Jumaba. Lucy slowly dropped her hand to the black key. It was time to use it. But...
"WATER DRAGON ROAR!"
Lucy turned towards the shout in disbelief and just in time to see Ren breath out water from his mouth in a very fast motion with loads of pressure. It hit Jumaba right in its chest causing it to cry out in fear. Lucy just couldn't believe it.
"HE'S A DRAGON SLAYER!?" Lucy and Happy shouted out in disbelief. It couldn't be. This was not possible.
"Of course he is." whispered a new voice right next to Lucy's ear.
Lucy let out a huge shriek and turned towards the voice. With no warning she brought her leg upwards and in a speed of light she kicked the person who suddenly appeared next to her in the stomach while shouting "Lucy kick!"
The person doubled over in pain holding on to his stomach. With the sight of black hair Lucy instantly recognize who it was...
"Ku...ro?"
Kuro managed to bring himself up again but one hand was still on his stomach,
"Man Lucy, than kick was hard. You should really watch out who you hit it with."
"Sorry." Lucy replied looking down at the floor.
Kuro took a deep breath and was about to reply when the group of people who were shocked to the point of becoming like statues at the sight of a boy just appearing broke out of their revenue.
"What are we doing? They have their guards down. We should attack them now." the eye-patched man exclaimed.
But, before he could even move to attack something very strange happened. Five long lines like ropes seemed to be crossing the space between the group and Lucy, Happy and Kuro. They were a dark black color and traveled very fast on the floor. They were almost like tentacles. The dark black tentacles somehow reached five men of the group and wrapped around their legs including the man with the eye-patched.
As soon as that happened it seemed like the men felt the tentacles wrap around their legs as they shouted out loud. But before they can react all five me flew upwards towards the ceiling. And, there they hanged in mid-air. Their only support was the dark back tentacle that was holding their legs suspending them. All five men were shouting in disbelief and fear. Lucy looked shocked. Her eyes trailed the tentacles until they led to one person. Kuro.
"What is that?" Happy asked before Lucy could.
"Oh this," Kuro started as he waved a hand absently towards the suspended men behind him, "that's my power. I have shadow magic. In other words I can manipulate, create any shadow I wish. It's quite an interesting power. But that's basically it. Each and every shadow has to bend to my will. And, before you ask how I got here like I know you will I'll tell you. I hitch-hiked on on your shadow. I basically hid in your shadow and followed you. The reason I did this is because I know Ren will mess up this mission. He always does."
Now, Lucy understood what she saw before. Her shadow has flickered before because apparently Kuro was in it? It doesn't make much sense to her but she didn't need it too. But she did feel kind of violated.
"You think Ren's a dragon slayer? Your right. But, there's much more to him then just that." Kuro said referring to her previous out break.
"What?"
Her reply was a head jerk towards Ren. She quickly looked towards Ren and just stared in shock and looked dumb. She couldn't comprehend what she was seeing. Ren wasn't normal. He didn't look normal. Because, there on his back were... wings.
They were nothing like Happy's wings. No, they were sharp and scaly and ocean blue color which made it look beautiful. With these wings Ren was in mid-air flying so he could attack the Jumaba at a much better angle. The wings looked strong and unbelievable. They were magical. It was impossible yet...possible. None of it made sense. How could be possible grow wings? It was insane.
"How does he have wings?" Lucy asked in awe.
"I guess you can say Ren is a special kind of Dragon Slayer. You can say he is a fourth generation of Dragon Slayers. Ren can literally turn any part of his body into a dragon. And, by any part I mean any part. This enhances his power and abilities. He can't transform into a full dragon yet but he still do separate parts. It is an amazing power as well, I can admit."
Lucy still stared at Ren in awe. Happy was also speechless. A fourth generation of Dragon Slayers? Was that even possible? It looked like it.
Lucy looked back at Kuro who turned his black gaze to her. Then she realized about the group of people she was meant to be fighting. She quickly turned to them to see them looking at the people in air with disbelief. And, the people in the air was still crying out for help.
"I'll take care of these guys." Kuro stated. And, he would have if it wasn't for the shout,
"EH!? HOW DID HE DO THAT?"
Kuro, Lucy and Happy snapped their heads to the shout and simultaneous their jaws dropped. Because in front of a flying Ren was not one but... two Jumaba. The second Jumaba seemed exactly like the first and it was impossible to tell them apart.
"You idiot! What the hell did you do!"
"Kuro?" Ren started looking confused at the guy, "How are you here?"
"That isn't the important thing you dumb-ass! What did you do to make to of them?!"
Suddenly, an angry look was on Ren's face.
"Shut it Goth Boy! It wasn't my fault! I just attacked it with my Dragon Roar on it's face and it split in half."
Laughter bounced as soon as Ren had said that. It's origin was a laughing Raphael,
"You stupid boy. It's another one of Jumaba's ability. If he is seriously wounded he can slit himself in half automatically healing himself and making another exact copy of him. I told you there is no way you can beat him. Just give up and I may let you survive. And, if your lucky I won't use one of the hostages." Raphael explained.
"Never. I will win and make you pay." Ren shouted his fist curled into fist.
"Lucy I'm going to let you handle these guys. I need to help Ren before the idiot makes the situation even worse... Is that okay?" Kuro explained.
Before, Lucy could reply Kuro ran towards Ren instantly dropping the men with his shadow tentacles to the floor. Lucy looked back at the men that were on the floor and only one stood up a sword in his hand. It was eye-patch man and he seemed furious. He spat out some blood to the side and glared at Lucy with an evil glint,
"It's looks like it's back to just you and us, Girly. Ready to pay for that little stunt?"
"Lucy, use your key." Happy said quickly hiding behind Lucy's legs.
Lucy nodded her head and quickly grabbed the key and snapped it our of the loop on her skirt. Then she outstretched her hand with the black key in it. Lucy remembered the words that Jared had told her to say when opening the key. She was finally going to do it. She was going to release the demon inside.
"Open, gate of the fire demon! Keahi!"
A burst of hot red flame suddenly came out of the key causing the group of me to jerk back from it. But as soon as the flame had come it died down and left a man in front of Lucy. Except this wasn't a normal man. It was a demon. A demon named Keahi.
Keahi in appearance looked like a tall man except he had a few noticeable differences. The first was that his clothes was unlike any Lucy had seen. He was wearing a top a red fiery color. The sleeves were long up to his wrist and seemed to change color between orange and red. His trousers were complete black color but with stripes of red, yellow and orange on it.
Keahi's eyes were an amazing orange color. Like fire. And, he was very build. But what stood out most for him was his hair. It was red just like a blazing fire except that's what it was. His hair was on fire! Tendrils of it was spiking out in different directions like separate burning flames. Lucy had never seen anything like it before.
Keahi looked brought his gaze to her his eyes unreadable.
"Please... help." Lucy managed to get out. She could feel power dripping off this man who seemed to be in his twenties.
The man stared at her for a moment. Then he turned back to the group of men. He slowly raised one of his arms before swiping it our in front of him. Along with his movement, a bright orange flame burst out of nowhere in front of the man in an arc the exact movement his arm had went. It separated Lucy and Happy from the group of men.
Keahi turned back to Lucy and gazed at her. She awaited his reaction. She had no idea if he would help her or not since they hadn't even made a contract. Slowly but surely a small smile came on Keahi's face...
"It's about time you called me out. Now, it's time for me to play."
This is the end of the chapter. I know I was meant to do the first mission but I went way overboard and I have this thing where if I go over 5,000 words then it is way too much! It will confuse you. So, I will do the ending of the mission and the time-skip in the next chapter.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BELOW... PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BELOW...PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BELOW:
1) Now that I got your attention I need to say the last two things. One is how the time skip will work. I am going to do three chapter the first being the next chapter about different times with Lucy interacting with the guild. So, instead of leaving you to wonder how her relationship with Scarlet Destiny expands I am going to write key moments of it. Some will be sad, happy, funny... that kind of stuff. Three chapters of this and then Fairy Tail and Scarlet Destiny will be together.
2) Someone asked me to draw Scarlet Destiny guild mark... Now, I can't draw to save my life (No I am not kidding... I wouldn't be able to draw a straight line even if I had a ruler) but I managed to design the guild and made my cousin draw it to perfection. Please see it and write what you think about it. The link will be on my profile page on fan fiction. And, if that doesn't work just go on deviant art and search 'zebzy1'. (I tried to write the website but it's keeps on deleting it!)
Okay, so until next time... see yh!
