Alright, boys and girls back with another chapter, I have to admit I'm a little disappointed in myself for how short the chapters have been but this one won't be any better. I'll try to fix that during the next arc.

The Gremory group had started seeing Jason in a new light, at first, they thought he was a powerful guy, who had always been just that, a powerful guy. But after the so-called "training" he had them do, they looked at him like you do that crazy uncle. He pushed them to their limits every single second of the day. Rias had done some intense training before, or so she thought. What he had them do would be considered insane by most, but not by Jason, he had even gone so far as to say he was going easy on them. He had taken them into the "high-level Witcher ID", as he called it, this happened only once. After they escaped that hellhole alive they vowed to never go back, and even during all that Jason just laughed it off saying 'this is normal, being close to death motivates you to learn more'. Yup, all the members had come to a silent agreement. Jason was crazy.
Back at the school on the evening of the Rating Game
"is everyone ready?" Rias asked her group with a nervous expression on her face. they all nodded in agreement. well everyone except for Jason who was polishing that monstrous scythe. During their training camp they had tried to get him to divulge how he kept taking it out of seemingly nowhere, but every time they tried he threatened to send to that horrible hell hole again, so they eventually just gave up and accepted it.
Jason had been absentmindedly polishing his scythe while having a meeting of sorts with his 7 other selves. He had discovered that even though they were the exact same as he was, having a conversation with them still led him to come up with new ideas sometimes. What was the conversation about you might ask, well, it was about how they were going to screw Riser over in the most embarrassing way possible. During the training camp, he had perfected the Flashstep and had leveled Hado and Bakudo up to level 30 respectively which meant he could cast a few spells. they may not have been the strongest but they were definitely useful. He had realized that the level acted as a limiter of sorts, he could cast any spell with a number under or at the same level as the skills themselves.

While he was thinking about how to humiliate Riser he was approached by a man he instantly recognized as Sirzechs Lucifer, who then asked him to follow him for a bit. Jason obliged and followed him to a room containing the remaining three lucifers. They then proceeded to ask him about his intentions pertaining to his participation in the rating game. Jason responded by telling that Riser had attempted to take one of his familiars.
They looked confused, there were two reasons, the first being that his familiar had to be rather special for Riser to want it, and the second, he said one of, meaning he had more than one which was simply unheard of. he proceeded to call over Fawkes and Yuzuha, Fawkes shocked them when he appeared in a flash of blue flames, while they looked genuinely worried when Yuzuha arrived sporting 6 tails. They talked for a bit before Grayfia announced that the Rating Game would begin in 10 minutes, which was when Jason excused himself.
He walked toward the Rias and waited for the game to start. A bell sounded signaling the start of the game, and before Rias had a chance to ask him what he would be doing he had already utilized his Flashstep and disappeared from sight.
Jason had arrived at his destination in a matter of seconds and patently awaited Risers Pawns arrival. He may have loathed Riser but there was no reason for his pawns to suffer through Issei's embarrassing so-called technique. The worst part about it was that after he had seen Issei use the skill his Copycat kicked in and he learned the move himself. He felt rather depressed when it happened so he locked the skill via his menu, and vowed to never look at any of Issei's skills again. Luckily though that wasn't the only thing his Copycat had copied, he had also copied Destruction magic which he had leveled up a decent bit, though not as much as his Soul Reaper powers.
Once the pawns arrived he proceeded to use some Kido.
"Hado number 4: Byakurai" he exclaimed pointing two fingers at one of the pawns. The lightning knocked the pawn out and then leaped over to the next pawn and knocked that out as well. this process repeated itself 3 times and before long Riser was 4 pawns down. Jason then Flashstept over to his next targets.
Jason arrived to see Kiba fighting the two knight as Issei charged his Boosted Gear. he knew that they would be able to handle it so he continued on and arrived at risers base. there he met Riser's little sister who started rambling about his boorishness since he had neglected to knock. he facepalmed internally and then proceeded to punch the little girl to knock her out. He then heard the announcer announce that Kiba and Issei had knocked out the two knight and one rook, which was then quickly followed by another announcement which stated that Koneko had knocked out the second rook. That left Riser and 5 pawns, he used his Flashstep once more and headed towards Akeno.
Once he arrived he told Akeno and Rias to go deal with the remaining pawns while Asia had apparently already left to heal Issei, Kiba, and Koneko. Rias asked him if he was going after Riser and he replied with an affirmative nod. They split off and Jason started to fly towards Riser.
Jason arrived to see Riser With a furious expression on his face. When Jason asked him what was wrong in a sarcastic voice Riser only scowled. Jason summoned Fawkes and Yuzuha to his side who both changed into their largest sizes.
Riser was shocked to see the little fox he had dismissed last time was actually a very powerful 6 tailed demonic fox. His angry expression changed into a scared one, he had wanted to win the game and gain a prestigious familiar in the process, but instead, he was getting pummeled all because this BOY had intervened. He summoned his own Phoenix, who was a red/orange one and told it to go combat Jason's familiars. It obviously didn't want to but the pact forced it to do so anyway.
Jason saw this and felt bad for his opponents familiar so he mentally told Fawkes and Yuzuha to take it easy on him. After all, it wasn't the familiars' fault it had a bad master. Jason then proceeded to summon 13's Jason and charged at Riser. What happened next was a slaughter, Riser may have been able to heal his body, but the constant pain was taking a toll on his mind. He tried his best to fight back but every time he launched an attack it was either dodged or simply ignored by Jason. Eventually, Riser's mind was too broken to continue, and the match called in favor of Rias.
After that, everything proceeded smoothly. The marriage contract was voided, Sirzechs thanked Jason for his help, and Jason started to head home with Fawkes on his shoulder and Yuzuha in his arms.

A few days after the Rating Game Jason got a familiar-sounding ping in his head.

Jason thought on it for a while and then selected New Franchise. he was then prompted once more with three options:

Re:zero
he pondered for a bit before selecting RWBY, Bleach, while cool, still seemed a bit too difficult to him while Re:zero seemed like something of a little too depressing for now.
One bright flash later
he was back in the rather depressing looking velvet room. he looked at the table and once again saw a note on the table. he picked it up and read out what it said.
"Congratulations on clearing your first Season, as your first clearance bonus you have received 500,000€ and 1000BP as well as a chance to participate in our skill lottery, the skill lottery is very simple. Simply walk up to the wheel to your left and you will be shown a prompt that will give you the option to throw away one skill in exchange for a random one." he looked to his left and to his surprise a bright yellow wheel appeared. he walked over to the wheel and was indeed shown a prompt.

he didn't even need to think about it, he selected Issei's Dress break and was prompted by yet another window.

He selected yes and the wheel started spinning, he was anxious to see what the result would be. All of those skills would be useful, did he have a preference? not really. The wheel slowed down, spinning slower and slower until it eventually stopped. he let out the breath he had been holding and got another notification.

he was then told the door to the RWBYverse was opening and that he would arrive 3 days before the start of season 1. He tried to use one of his vectors to access his inventory and to his surprise, it worked. 'this could be very useful' he thought to himself. He grabbed Fawkes and scratched him under the beak, grabbed Yuzuha in his arms and walked off toward the white light in the shape of a door.
Another bright flash later
When he came to he looked around to see he was in a small room, he assumed it was an inn. it was a welcome change from the forest he received last time, he walked downstairs and greeted the clerk. he had once again made Fawkes and Yuzuha invisible with his Illusion Mastery. He paid the clerk for another 3 days worth of stay and headed for Beacon Academy.
Once he arrived at the gate the people were giving him odd looks. He assumed this was because he was wearing his witcher gear but he wasn't completely sure. he kept walking until he reached the base of Ozpin's tower, he called the elevator down and was about to step in when someone called out to him.
"young man, what are you doing here, I know every student at this school and you are most certainly not one of them." the women he recognized as Glynda Goodwitch asked him. he looked at her before telling her he urgently needed to speak to Ozpin. She looked hesitant to let him in but did so anyway.
They reached the top floor and he was greeted by the signature gears on the ceiling. He turned to see Ozpin staring at him with interest. "what can I do for you young man" he asked Jason with those piercing eyes. he sat down in front of Ozpin and started speaking. "I have information you want, however, I want two things in return. First I want you to unlock my aura, and second, I want you to enroll me into Beacon." he said as Ozpin just sipped his coffee. he remained silent for a moment before telling Jason it depended on his information.
Jason decided it was his turn to take a leap of faith, he then began to tell Ozpin about key points that occurred between season 1 and 3. He didn't tell him any details for fear of altering the future. It seemed, however, that it was enough for Ozpin to be convinced he would be an asset. Ozpin then agreed to enroll him so long as he passed the entrance exam. Jason laughed at that, he didn't laugh much but that was rather funny to him, he told Ozpin he could probably take him in a fight which Glynda then denied. Ozpin, however, seemed amused by the comment as he proceeded to once more take a sip from his coffee mug.
Ozpin agreed to let him stay at the school for the night since he would probably pass out after having his aura activated. Jason lay down on one of the beds as Ozpin began the chant: "For it is our actions that live on after we are gone. Though our flesh returns to the dust from whence it came, our works and our choices continue on, infinite in potential and unbound by death. I release your soul, and by my voice, comfort thee. now sleep well young man" those were the last words Jason heard before passing out.
Chapter end
Now I know that some of you may be disappointed that the DxD season ended so quickly, but worry not I intend to come back eventually... probably. This was more of an introduction arc anyway, and a place for me to experiment a little. Next on the menu RWBY season 1.
So I decided that Jason would be receiving a semblance but I think if I decided everything it would just be a bit boring, so I figured why not let you guys choose? If you have any good suggestions put them in the comments or PM and I'll pick the one that seems the coolest/most useful.
Also, I promise the next chapter will be longer I just didn't want to drag
something out an make you lose interest.
