Hey everyone, it's been a while!
First off, I owe you ALL an apology for not updating for a year and almost seven months (wow...I didn't even realize it's been that long, really sorry guys!). You all have been VERY patient with me and I am so grateful for that. Sadly, however, this is not the triumphant return chapter.
BUT! DON'T LEAVE YET, I HAVE GOOD NEWS!
So, the reason I hadn't been updating was a. I was struggling with chapter 6 and b. I waited long enough that I decided to out wait KH3 and see what that game would give me, in terms of lore and content, that I could incorporate or if I would have to declare this story into full AU territory. To answer b, this story is now...in between canon and AU, heh.
Anyways! The real reason for this AN is that I got back in contact with my former co-author, LegacyReturns918, and we were bouncing plot ideas off each other. Then Legacy had a brilliant idea and has now jumped back on the project as my co-author (though if that means they will post DD separately again or not, I cannot tell you yet).
Back on topic. In the process of all these brilliant ideas, Legacy and I found ourselves reworking almost everything for DD, yes, EVERYTHING. We're currently in the middle of the reworking process so I thought I'd come on here to let you guys know that the two of us are hard at work basically every day to get DD back up and running again! We're very excited about the plot we have in mind and all the new things we've added (here's a teaser: three prequels are now being kept in mind for when DD is finished), including some stuff from KH3 that makes our writing a whole lot easier (I have never been so grateful for the Gummiphone, you guys, I called it all the way back in like chapter 3 or 4 I think).
I can't tell you when DD will be returning, but I CAN tell you that it will probably be a whole new story and I'll delete this one after everyone makes their way over to the new one. I'll be sure to tell all of you here when the new story is posted, in case you aren't following me already.
Oh yeah, and we are adding Keyblade Transformations, so anyone who sent us an OC, please send us what your OC's Keyblade can transform into! If you don't remember, that's okay, I'll just send a PM in the original DD OC info you all sent to remind you!
Now, just give Legacy and I a little bit more time to work out the rest of the reworks and we'll get the brand new and completely improved DD back up here! We'll see you all soon, okay? And may your heart be your guiding key! :)
