Author's Note: Bit of a longer chapter this time. Hope it makes up for the wait. Enjoy!

Red managed a smile at the sight of the DNA Pokémon. Having a legendary on his side would definitely help, particularly if, or rather when, Red confronted Yellow's assailant. Curious, Red wondered, "How did you know that I needed help?" Deoxys made a noise that sounded like a chuckle. "You forget, Red. Your blood is in me. Just as you could sense when I was distressed, so I too can sense you." Red nodded. "Although," Deoxys continued, "I don't think I'll be much help without knowing what happened." Red nodded. "I was talking to Yellow when something paralyzed me kidnapped her. I couldn't see what it was, only that it was extremely fast." Deoxys took this into consideration. "The speed suggests a Pokemon like Arcanine, though those are not known to use paralyzing moves. Not only that, but there would have to have been a trainer issuing commands. How many creatures did there seem to be?" Red thought for a moment, before answering, "There could have only been one kidnapper." Deoxys looked puzzled. After a few seconds, it started morphing, until it stood in its sleek speed form. "Climb on my back, and hang on tight," Deoxys commanded. "This is going to be a little bumpy."

Yellow slowly opened her eyes. All around her were cold, lifeless, stone walls. Wearily, she sat up and projected her consciousness around her, trying to sense for her Pokémon or Red, anybody. Nothing. Wait, there was something faint, but it felt different. She heard footsteps; the thing was coming closer. Suddenly they stopped, right by her prison. "Hello, child of Viridian." The door and walls of the cell did not have bars or windows, so she couldn't see who the voice belonged to, but it sounded like a young man, no older then 20. Yellow felt uneasy; there was something off about the detection she was getting from him. "Oh, don't even think about trying to read my thoughts. I took the liberty of developing mental shielding long ago," the voice spoke, answering the question Yellow had been wondering. After a pause, Yellow finally spoke. "What do you want from me? Why am I here?" There was a rumble that must have been laughter. "Oh, you'll see what plans I have for you later. In the mean time sit tight." The footsteps began again. Yellow was becoming desperate. She was stuck, without friends or Pokémon. "Red will find you before then!" she shouted, more to convince herself then her kidnapper. There was another rumble of soft laughter before the voice spoke another time. "Oh don't worry, my dear. I'm counting on it." And with that, the footsteps began again, till Yellow was alone to ponder how to escape.

A cold flurry blew above the mountaintop. No footsteps lay in the fresh layer of snow. Suddenly, there was a flash. In an instant, Deoxys and Red stood upon the peak. Red shivered, a little nauseous. Extreme Speed was not the most pleasant mode of travel, even on normal Pokemon. When Deoxys used it, it was almost like teleporting, you went so fast. If you were motion sick, then your vomit would shoot into whatever was around you like a bullet. Cold, Red looked around. He recognized the peak: it was none other then Mt. Silver. Red looked at Deoxys, confused. "Why are we here?" Deoxys explained, "Mt. Silver is special for two reasons. One, it is a natural training course, perfect for developing skills. Second, it happens to be the one place a person would hide something. Have you ever wondered why there is a Mt. Silver, but no Mt. Gold? Red shook his head; it had never occurred to him that there might be a Mt. Gold. Deoxys elaborated, "Mount Silver is one of several special mountains, points that connects dimensions. One of the more famous ones is Mt. Coronet. Mt. Silver connects to an alternate reality, where the Brass Tower never burnt down. In that reality, there is a fortress on Mt. Silver's counterpart, Mt. Gold. If Yellow is anywhere, she's there." Red took a moment to absorb all the information, then turned to Deoxys, "So, what know?" "First, you train your powers so you can face whatever kidnapped Yellow," explained Deoxys. "And then?" Deoxys smiled. "And then we save Yellow."
