With so much going right in her life Kyoko had known that something was going to go wrong because she was happy. Too happy. For the first time she had a Father and a Mom. She was so in love she could hardly see straight and scarily enough it wasn't scaring her like it should have. She had a wonderful role in a movie where she was an actual princess and if that weren't enough she had friends and not to mention all the others that cared for her. She had never had so much good in her life before and of course Fuwa Sho would be the one to snatch it from her with words that had so much impact when strung together. The words basically amounted to, "I know his secret."

Kyoko had been around Kuu long enough to see who he had always reminded her of. It was actually really hard not to notice when they were side by side for so long. After that she had put quite a bit together. She hadn't spoken of it though because if Ren hadn't told her then it was obvious that he wished to keep it a secret and she wouldn't begrudge him that. There was some things that one didn't want to talk about. She was like that with speaking of her mother so she wasn't going to say anything until Ren did.

But the wrench thrown in the plan was Shotaro because if Ren wasn't ready to confide in anyone he wasn't ready for the world to know. Kyoko loved the man and so what other option was there other than protecting the secret.

That morning

When Kyoko woke she was highly disoriented. For one moment she felt afraid that her rescue was nothing more than a dream and she was still with the monster that had cornered her like some sort of prey.

She was afraid to even open her eyes and find out. She could feel another presence in the room with her and then she heard a voice start to speak.

"She's okay but I don't think she should go in today." Ren said.

"Can you push it back for me then?"

"Okay that's fine. I'll call you in a bit."

Hearing Ren talk she realized that she was still in his apartment. Now that she was assured of her safety she opened her eyes. She needed to apologize for being so much trouble to him.

"Tsuruga-san." She said quietly.

Ren snapped around to look at her. He had to swallow hard. The girl was so adorable and he could hardly suppress his feelings for her. Shaking the train of thought, lest he scare her away, he sat on the bed giving her his undivided attention.

'I'm sorry for being so much trouble for you." She apologized.

"No." He said roughly.

Her eyes snapped to his face, startled at his tone, and she froze. He looked angry and was giving off a darkness from him that was in some way worse than the aura that he possessed when he had acted Cain Heel.

"Don't apologize for that." He said with so much feeling and sadness that she couldn't stop herself from reaching across the bedspread and placing her hand over his. She hadn't realized until that moment how very upset the situation made him. Last night he had shown how upset he was but she had been more focused on her own emotions at the time but now seeing him like this she was unable to ignore the impact that it had on him.

"Thank you Ren." She said softly catching him off guard with the use of his name.

Ren couldn't help but smile at that. He had wanted her to say his name like that since she had acted Kuon.

After a few moments passed he told her that he would have work in the late afternoon. He also told her that he had called the president and though he hadn't told him what happened he had painted a basic picture and they both agreed that perhaps it would be better for Kyoko to rest today.

Kyoko wasn't upset about that. In fact she felt privileged that Ren cared enough to do that for her. As much as she wanted to put the experience behind her and get back to work it was still so fresh in her mind that she wasn't sure that she was ready for doing much today. It had been even worse than what had happened with the Beagle. She wasn't sure why exactly but it was so much worse this time. Perhaps it was the fact that at least then she had the character of Mio to fall back on but this time she was just herself.

"Can I…?"

"Yes?"

"Can I stay with you today?" She asked blushing. It wasn't that she was still scared, she was but that wasn't all that there was, it was also that when Ren was there she just felt safe. A smaller part of her, the selfish part, also wanted to stay with him because of her feelings toward him. This was an opportunity to be with the person that had broken down her walls and made her love again. Last night when he had held her close to him to comfort her it was more wonderful than she had ever expected it to be.

Ren for his part was astonished that she had asked something like that. He had half expect her to ask if he would take her home. The other half of him had thought that she would be upset about him canceling her work for her. But he had never expect her to ask that. It wasn't even like he could dream of refusing a request like that especially from this girl. 'I have it so bad for her,' he thought to himself with a smile.

"Of course you can. In fact I would welcome the company." He said to her fondly.

That was how she found herself at the photo shoot with him. It was the early afternoon and after the shoot he was going to drop her off at home. She had panicked when she heard that until Ren told her that he had informed the older couple of her whereabouts last night.

The shoot was for a lining of men's suits and Kyoko couldn't help but be entranced but the sight of Tsuruga-san modeling. It was no wonder at times like these that he was the number one male actor in Japan. With the mixture of looks, personality, and talent he had it would almost be a crime if he wasn't.

She was so focused on him that she didn't notice a certain blonde singer when he had walked through the door. She did however notice when he walked into her field of sight. She tried to ignore him but he was so there that she couldn't.

She needed to deal with him once and for all. So she pulled herself up and dragged him off to the side. She wasn't going to interrupt Ren's work while she sorted out this particular annoyance.

"What do you want?" She asked him.

"I called you but-"

"I didn't answer for a reason. I thought you were smart enough to take the hint."

"Look I know Tsuruga's little secret but I'm willing to stay quiet for a price."

"What?" she asked feigning ignorance.

"The fact that he's the son of the Hizuri's." Sho said with a smirk. "I'm willing to keep it a secret if you become my girlfriend."

With those words Kyoko's world was shattered. She had no options here. She could refuse and let Ren be ruined or she could agree and make herself miserable. Either way she would be consumed with self-hatred. But one factor tipped the scale. She was in love. She had always sacrificed so much for that particular emotion and even though she had changed that trait hadn't.

With a deep breath to fortify her defense against the tears that she could feel trying to escape, she said, "Alright. If you won't tell anyone I agree to your condition."

A/N sorry for the long wait. You can't imagine how hard it as to get this written in satisfactory condition. Even now I'm not really happy with it but I didn't want to tinker with it anymore lest I make it worse. I honestly believe that Sho would do something like this and that Kyoko would react somewhat like she does here. That said I'm sorry for where this leaves off I thought it was a good place to break. Just so you guys know there will be lengthy stupidity here. When all the people that care for Kyoko come together it's not going to be too hard for them to figure out what Sho did. Until next time. R and R.
