Edward's Point of View
"You know I wouldn't have chosen this life for you. Your mother . . ."
I brush that off, smiling. "I'm glad you did."
"But you've always been so resentful."
That's true. I definitely had such feelings towards this monstrous and foreign life initially . . . after my transformation.
"I did," I agree. "But that was before. Before I finally understood this life. And what I gained from that is worth much more," I glance over at Bella whose face is bright with laughter at something Emmett is doing. "I would have never met her either. I can't resent this life. Or you."
