Chapter 6 is here sorry for the wait. I have many, many, many things (Fanfictions) that I want to write. I have several started like Kuroshitsuji and Teen Wolf.
Please enjoy this chapter! Reviews are appreciated! :D (I don't own Naruto or any of the characters..blah blah blah) ;)
His head was throbbing as he opened his eyes slowly. He tried to move his arms but couldn't. He struggled to move them but they were bound to the arms of a chair. His feet were bound together. The light above him was like a spotlight the rest of the room was hidden in dark shadows.
"This is a bit of a cliché don't you think?" Naruto spoke aloud to the darkness.
"Shh Naruto it's not your turn to speak yet. " A joking voice came. A man in a black cloak with red clouds stepped into the light. He had long blonde hair and bangs that cover half his face. He wore a smirk on his face.
"Why am I here?"
"I'm sure you know who we are," the blonde man took a step forward. Three more men with the same cloaks stepped out from the shadows. Naruto didn't know it yet but there was another lingering in the shadows. He felt his stomach drop.
"Akatsuki…"
"Oh right you are!" the girlish blonde gave a laugh, "I'm Deidara, there's fish brain, Pein, and Tobi. "
"Why am I here?" Naruto's voice had risen.
"You're very impatient," Deidara stepped in front of Naruto, "I suggest you only speak when spoken to," before Deidara turned away Naruto spat at him. Deidara looked down at Naruto with disgust as he rubbed the spit off his cloak.
"How dare you!" a swinging hand made contact with Naruto's face. It stung Naruto's cheek but it was weak. Naruto let out a small laugh.
"You think this is funny?" He looked down at Naruto again. Deidara bent down to look Naruto in the eyes.
"When we're finished with you, you won't be able to move," Deidara receded into the shadows. The man with a mask named Tobi stepped in Naruto's line of vision.
"Oh don't look so angry my friend!" Tobi put a hand on Naruto's shoulder. He shrugged away from the man's touch.
"You're a guest Naruto don't be so rude," Tobi slugged Naruto in the face, Naruto couldn't help but laugh again as he spat blood on to the floor. This seemed to anger the masked man.
"You're here because you have information we want...about your father,"
Naruto tensed up at the mention of his father. Tobi was amused now.
"I don't know anything about what happened…he never told me,"
"Hard to believe, I'll go one question at a time," Tobi seemed to be enjoying himself. The others had left back into the dark shadows of the room. Naruto could feel their eyes on him.
"I don't-"
"First question," Tobi cut off Naruto, "what's your fathers real name, we know it's not Shizuk,"
Naruto didn't speak he stared down Tobi. The masked man shook his head. Naruto wasn't expecting what came next. Hands grabbed his head from behind. There was a hand on his forehead and an arm around his neck. He struggled against the grip. The hands were sturdy. Tobi pulled out a pocket knife and started to walk around Naruto. Once Tobi had made a full circle he stopped.
"You're a suborn cat," Tobi grabbed Naruto's shoulder as he slid the blade across his cheek. Naruto let out loud grunt through his clenched teeth. He felt the warm blood run down his cheek. "We have to make it even," he did the same to the other cheek. Naruto couldn't help but let out a little noise. Naruto pulled on his restraints as the sharp pain continued. The person behind him didn't let go of his head.
"I'm going to ask another question," Tobi fiddled with the blade in his hand, "Where is your father, we know he's alive," Naruto looked at Tobi.
"Eat shit," Naruto spat out. Naruto truly didn't know where is father was. His father didn't tell him things just in case something like this happened.
"We're going to play this game aren't we?" Tobi stepped closer to Naruto a dragged the blade across his cheeks again and a third time. The person behind Naruto let him go. Naruto's head dropped and blood began to drip off his face.
"Now he's a real cat!" Tobi gave a laugh and disappeared. Naruto was alone now, the soft drip of blood seeping into his pants.
The girlish blonde came back. He looked at Naruto and lifted Naruto's head by pulling his hair. Naruto have a small grunt.
"Very cat like," Naruto glared at Deidara, "oh don't be so sour!" he let go of Naruto's hair.
"Back to questions!" Deidara sang, "Where's your father Naruto?"
Naruto took a deep breath. His cheeks stung and his head hurt, but it was nothing compared to what they were going to do to his father.
"Not cracking huh..." Deidara punched Naruto, he didn't even see it coming. Naruto's head was whipped to the side. Blood began to fill his mouth again. The ring on Deidara's hand definitely cut him. He let the blood fill his mouth before he spat yet again on Deidara. Deidara was furious. He knocked Naruto over in the chair and started kicking. They were wild kicks he was aiming for anything.
"That's enough!" a stern voice cut in. Deidara looked behind him. Naruto tried to look into the darkness, he couldn't see who it was.
"Tsk," Deidara left mumbling.
Naruto was left alone. The only noise was his coughing that echoed. He would make them pay.
Images of blood, the clanking of metal, and yells filled Naruto's head.
Naruto shot up with a panicked yell. He drew in deep painful breaths. The sheets were twisted around his legs. He fumbled to turn on the lights his hands were shaking. Sweat trickled down his face. He let out a tired moan as he began to calm down. His nose was starting to ache. He touched the bridge of his nose then brushed his fingers over his scars. A flash of the orange mask invaded Naruto's mind. He gripped the sheets. With a glance at his end table he grabbed the pill bottle. He twisted it open and popped two in his mouth. Hopefully those dreams wouldn't come back.
Shikamaru sat at his computer. He was making progress. Progress never would have been made if it weren't for his determination. One of the pass codes had been recycled through the system. This one code also didn't have any letters in it. It was a slice of hope. He'd get Sai back here in a heart beat.
Shikamaru had fallen asleep at his desk. His neck cracked as he slowly lifted his head. He yawned as he stretched his arms up. The computer screen gave a soft glow.
His screen was on the desktop. It wasn't like that before. He clicked around in his files. Everything was gone. He looked around on his desk. All the pads of paper were gone.
"This can't be happening."
"It is," a quite whisper came. Shikamaru whipped around. There was someone in the corner of his room. The light of the desktop couldn't reach that far.
"Shikamaru Nara, never graduated high school, single, works with Sasuke Uchiha from time to time," the man stepped out from the shadows as he said this. His silver hair and eye seemed to glow.
"You're from the ANBU Agency." Shikamaru managed to get out. This man looked like a serious son of a bitch.
"Aren't you a smart one. Let's get to the point," his face was mostly covered except for one eye.
"The files," Shikamaru had begun to sweat.
"They're classified for a reason. Naruto Uzumaki is a very important agent. Files are classified to protect the agents and others," the silver haired man stepped closer, "when a file is opened others have access for a short period of time. That puts you and my agent in danger and I can't have that. Do you understand?" the man's face was now inches from Shikamaru's. He could only manage a nod at the silver haired man.
"Glad you understand." Shikamaru felt a sharp pain in his neck before his body crumple to the floor. As he fought to keep his eyes open the man spoke again, "if you try again I'll take you out myself."
Naruto trudged up the stairs. He could really use a cup of coffee or two. He made his way to the coffee station before going to his office.
"You look like shit," Naruto turned to see Kiba's grin.
"You always look like shit," Naruto countered.
"Touché..." Kiba grabbed a bagel and began to eat it.
"So how's your partner?" Naruto stirred his coffee.
"She's kind of annoying, but she's strong. She tackled a man twice her size,"
"Jesus..."
"I know right!" Kiba gave Naruto a slap on the back, "see you around!" Naruto nodded at him. Naruto sluggishly made his way to his office.
There was a file waiting for him on his desk. It was the next assignment. He placed his cup down and sat in the leather chair. He flipped open the folder and viewed its contents. There was a brown haired woman with two buns. Her name was Tenten. She imports illegal weapons. There was an extensive list of foreign weapons.
Tsunade looked at the stacks of papers on her desk. There was never a time when her desk was empty. There always seem to be crime. She knew that there would always be crime, but she would try her best to stop what she could. There was a knock at her door.
"Come in," she turned to see Juriya. She smiled then sat down at her desk.
"Good morning Tsunade,"
"Morning Juriya," she raised an eyebrow at him.
"Uchiha and Uzumaki did well on their first job together,"
"Yes?"
"Well..."
"Spit it out old man we don't have all day!"
"You're just as old as me you hag!" Juriya shot back at her.
"What is it?" she could tell Juriya was uneasy about something.
"It's about Uzumaki..."
"What about him?"
"The files. Not the ones we have but-"
"Stop,"
"But I thin-" Juriya was on the edge of the chair.
"It doesn't matter what you think Juriya,"
"But haven't you ever wondered what's in the files?"
"No because I know what's good for me. You should know better,"
"Sasuke asked me about them,"
"What did you say?" she narrowed her eyes at him.
"I told them that the files are classified for a reason, to protect people,"
"Good I'll have a chat with him later. Get out."
Juriya got up and left. Remember curiosity killed the cat he told himself.
Sasuke had already read the files and reports on TenTen. She was a serious arms dealer. She's probably one of the reasons that crime has risen in Konoha. His phone buzzed in his pocket. He turned away from his desk.
-Someone showed up at my apartment from ANBU last night
-what happened?
-threatened to kill me himself if I didn't stop. Sasuke I think we should stop...I value my life.
-you can stop if you want to
-you're going to continue?
-yes
-you're crazy but good luck
Sasuke put his phone back in his pocket. He knew who to go to from information. He may have to do a little persuading though. Hopefully Naruto thought last night was a dream. Sasuke hadn't noticed and extra presences is his office. He turned in his chair to see Tsunade standing.
"Jesus..."
"No just me," she smiled at him. She moved to close the door.
"Is something wrong?" Sasuke stood up.
"Yes," she gave a sigh, "Juriya came to me this morning about Naruto," Sasuke was silent. "You need to stop,"
"I'll stop,"
"If you continue you will never be an agent, a cop, or even a fucking sales clerk," she narrowed her eyes at Sasuke. He nodded at her.
"I understand,"
She turned and left without another word.
Sasuke ran a hand over his face. He sat back down and fished his phone from his pocket.
- We're stopping
Shikamaru replied
- Ok, maybe it wouldn't hurt to get along with him Sasuke.
Sasuke put the phone down. Could he trust his partner?
Sai had his black suite laid out on the bed for later tonight. He had everything planned out. Shikamaru had sent him the text. They were giving up. Sai wasn't known to give up...most of the time. This was different. He loved secrets and he's a pro at blackmailing. Any information he could use against someone he would use it. Anything to get what he wants. A smile crept onto Sai's face. What Shikamaru and Sasuke didn't know was he had accessed the file and made a copy. He hadn't opened it yet but he'd use it as leverage.
"I get the secrets all to myself."
Naruto knocked on Sasuke's office door. Hopefully Sasuke would just dance around what happened last night.
"Come in,"
Naruto pushed open so it almost hit the wall. Sasuke seemed startled by this action.
"Good morning," Sasuke mumbled.
"Our new assignment." Naruto sat down in the chair by the door.
"Yes TenTen the illegal weapon smuggler and dealer,"
"Quite a title," Naruto chuckled,
"Did you talk to your informant yet?"
"Not yet I'm giving it some time," Naruto paused, "is there any other information about TenTen?"
"She's very careful about where she does her deals. She smuggles weapons through various ports then moves them to another location,"
"Do we know who she sells to?"
"Mobsters, drug dealers, the wealthy, you name it,"
"There aren't any mobster in Konoha," Naruto gave Sasuke a questioning look.
"They show up here and there. Yes they may not live in Konoha but TenTen deals out of Konoha, which draws unwanted people to Konoha, Sasuke paused, "did you get your nose set yet?"
"No,"
"Hold on," Sasuke walked past Naruto and out the doorway. He found who he was looking for.
"Sakura I need your help,"
"What do you need Sasuke?" She smiled at him. They walked into his office.
"Would you ever so kindly set his nose?"
"No, no, no this pinky isn't touching my nose!" Naruto stood up in protest.
"What did you call me?" Sakura glares at him. Naruto flopped back in his chair.
"Better now than never," Sasuke looked at Naruto and smirked,
"Fine." Naruto glared at him.
Sakura began to feel Naruto's nose.
"Ouch this looks gross," she said. Naruto glared up at her. "Ready?"
"Yeah," Naruto closed his eyes. She started pushing around with both her thumbs. Naruto didn't show any sign of pain.
"Just tell me when to stop if it hurts,"
"Keep going," she pushed harder and then a click was heard. Naruto let his breath out.
"All set," Sakura gave Naruto a pat on the shoulder. He thanked her and she left.
"Thanks...partner," Naruto made quotation marks with his hands.
"Any time,"
They both left the office for the West docks.
They arrived shortly at the West docks. Sasuke had forced Naruto to wear his seat belt. Sasuke's plan was to talk to anyone who worked at the docks. Hopefully the workers would be willing to cooperate. TenTen may have someone working at the docks for her. This could either be a win or lose situation. They didn't get out of the car yet.
"Does the owner know about this?" Naruto asked.
"No he might be making some type of profit, like a deal with TenTen,"
"Yeah that would make it a whole lot easier plus she'd come in and out undetected,"
"Well downside is we're going to be on a boat for a while,"
"Are we just observing for now?"
"Yeah, someone's lending us a boat. It stays at the dock though,"
Naruto nodded and they got out. It was cold and misty. The sun hadn't yet peaked about the horizon. The waves tapped lightly against the boats. They walked down the wooden dock.
"Look about last night..." Naruto couldn't help but address it. Sasuke stopped and looked at him. "It's not that I want to keep stuff from you, I'm sure eventually you'll find out. I just can't tell you until some things are cleared up,"
"It's fine." Sasuke wasn't sure what to say but that's what came out. The tension between them eased a little.
"What boat are we getting on?" Naruto turned and looked down the dock. There were rows after rows of boats.
"It's over here." Sasuke walked ahead and stopped in front of a boat.
"That's the boat?" Naruto looked at the boat. It was a yacht or close to it. Weren't they supposed to be a little less noticeable?
"Isn't this a bit flashy?" Naruto questioned.
"We're wearing suites already so throw a boat into the mix and you get business men,"
"Right..." Naruto's nose throbbed, "is there ice on this boat?" Sasuke chuckled as they got onto the boat and into the cabin.
Naruto found the ice bin and started to ice his nose. They went back up and sat down. They waited for the owner to arrive.
Tsunade bit her thumb nail as she paced in her office. Would Sasuke take her advice? Hopefully he got the message. How could something like that be going on under her nose?
"Tsunade," Juriya was standing in the doorway.
"Does anyone knock anymore?" She waved her hand at him.
"There's someone here to see you," he stepped aside.
"Oh?"
"Hello Tsunade," a woman stepped through the doorway.
"Shizune!" Tsunade was surprised to see her, "you're looking good,"
"You too Tsunade," she smiled.
"Close the door on your way out Juriya,"
"Fine..." Juriya mumbled a few other things as he closed the door. Tsunade sat at her desk and Shizune sat across from the blonde.
"Is everything alright?" She asked Shizune.
"Well..." her smile disappeared, "is there any way I could come back?"
"You don't like the AMBU agency?"
"They go to extreme measures sometimes,"
"Well they are an advanced agency, special skills and all,"
"Yes but I believe there's more than that. Something it just doesn't feel right,"
"Like what?"
"I'm not sure..."
"Shizune I can't do anything if I don't know anything,"
"I know I just wanted to tell someone,"
"Call me whenever, I'm here for you Shizune,"
"Thanks," Shizune smiled and stood up. Tsunade smiled back at her and hugged her goodbye.
Sai was driving down the highway. His music was blaring he didn't care that it was early. The streets were mostly clear. Sai looked into his rear view mirror. A black SUV had been following him for a while now. He turned left twice once he got off the highway then hung a right just to make sure. He was being followed. It had happened once before but it was a clingy ex. This was different. Sai stepped on the gas petal. He had to lose them or get back on the highway. The black SUV sped up behind him. Sai slammed on his brakes at a red light, there was another car to his right. When the light turned green he gunned it and moved into the right lane and slowed. All he had to do was make it to the highway. It was only a few lights away. Sai was at another red light. He quickly shot a text to Shikamaru. Sai glances between the red light and the SUV. The light flicked green and he stepped on the gas once again. His car jerked forward and made a pop. Cars had started honking. Smoke started to rise from the hood. Sai put his hazards on and started to dial for the police. Before he could type in the last 1 his door was opened. A man with long blonde hair...almost girlish stood.
"You should get out and move to the sidewalk, this looks dangerous," the man was in a tux. Sai unbuckled himself and got out. Cars were passing on the right and an angry honk or two was made. Sai got to the sidewalk with the man.
"Have you called the police?"
"I was about to when yo-" Sai was cut off by the squeal of tires. The black SUV from before came screeching towards them. The man grabbed Sai as the car pulled up. The door opened and Sai was pulled in. A bag was pulled over his head as he struggled to get away. Sai caught a glimpse of two other people as he tried pulling the bag off his head.
"Tie his hands already!"
"I'm freakin' trying help me!" The blonde was pushing Sai down into the seat. Sai couldn't see anything but he still tried to free himself from the bag on his head. Out of know where Sai's jaw explodes with pain. He lets out a yell and was still for a moment. He could taste blood...the punch had felt like concrete. His hands had been tied and he was pulled up into a sitting position.
"Should've just sat still but no-" his captor murmured the rest under his breath.
"Shut it!" someone snapped.
"I don't think the owners going to show up,"
"Yeah it looks like that's the case," Sasuke looked at his watch. It was now 10 the owner never showed up.
"Well time to ask questions then," Naruto went up the stairs and outside. Sasuke followed him.
Naruto scanned the dock, the mist was mostly gone. He stepped onto the wooden dock and started looking at each boat. Sasuke followed but had his eyes were on the storage houses. The first person they saw was going to have questions coming their way.
