1.6- Two words.
[ Addison deals with her impending future as a mom. Lexie has news. Derek returns to work too early. Callie treats an old patient].
Addison's voiceover: Those two words. I'm pregnant can change everything. They flip everything backwards into a new light once you've said them. Everything suddenly shifts from being a normal person to reliazing you will be a mother in nine months.
S1- outside SGMH.
Lexie: Hey. Can I talk to you?
Mark: What about?
Lexie: I'm pregnant.
Mark: Are you saying we're going to have out first child?
Lexie: Yes. Sofia's going to have a sibling, or siblings.
Mark: You have never been more beautiful in this moment. You're going to be a great mother.
Lexie: I had to confirm it at the ob department. I wanted to make sure that I was pregnant and it wasn't a false test. I know how much that would have upset us.
Mark: You're pregnant. I'm so happy we're finnaly going to have a baby. ( They kiss).
Lexie: You are going to be just as an excellent father to our baby as you are to Sofia.
Mark: You bet I will. I'm so happy.
Lexie: Me too.
S2- SGMH hallway.
Cristina: Mer, will you just talk to me? For god's sakes, if you hate me so much, you'll be happy enough to know that Owen and I had a bloody match at the party last night.
Meredith: Would you stop being so selfish, and so self righteous for one second so I can find out where the hell my husband is?
Richard: Accoring to the OAR board, Shepard is in OAR one doing a brain tumor removal.
Meredith: Yeah. Is it him on this table? If he's crazy enough to return back to work before the doctors say he is ready, he must be the one with the brain tumor! ( Meredith heads to OAR one).
Richard: What's wrong with her?
Cristina: It must be just the fact that she hates brain tumors. Really, she's mad because Shepard isn't supposed to be back at work.
Richard: Oh. It's nice to have you back Yang. Not just for your talent. I missed you.
Cristina: Thank you sir.
S3- OAR two; L.A: St. Ambrose.
Addison: I need someone to take over for me. I have to be somewhere soon.
Nurse: No problem Dr. Montgomery.
Addison: Okay. Thank you. I'm going to go scrub out.
Nurse: Yes. Not a problem.
S4- OAR one.
Meredith: Derek, are you insane! The doctors told you that you were not supposed to return to work until TUESDAY! Last time I checked, it's Friday!
Derek: I feel fine. Dillard does not have the reputation that our hospital has. As long as I take it easy, I will be fine.
Meredith: I don't think removing a brain tumor is exactly taxing it easy. You give me no other choice expect to tell Bailey. You are not ready!
Derek: How do you know that? You aren't me. I'm doing what I love. I'm happy again. I'm not going to stay here as much as I used to, but all I want is to be happy again. Surgery makes me happy.
Meredith: I know that. I want you to keep doing what you love. I don't want it to be at the expense of your health.
Derek: I know. I'll scrub out.
Meredith: Thank you.
S5- L.A; Addie's room.
Resident: Hello, Dr. Montgomery, are you ready for your ultrasound?( opens the door).
Amelia: Oh my gosh! Are you okay Addie?
Addison: I'm fine. ( Amy comes in).
Amelia: Are you pregnant? This is awesome! Wait, why do you look so sad?
Addison: I'm not sad. It's just— it's not how you think the situation is.
Amelia: Yes, I do. You finnaly found the right guy for you. You're both expecting. I want o hear all about it. What's his name?
Addison: No. I had a one night stand in Seattle with Alex... Karev.
Amelia: That's a joke, right?
S6- Meredith and Derek's house.
Meredith: This place is not so bad after all. Sit down. How do you feel?
Derek: I feel fine. You should be back at the hospital.
Meredith: I know. Callie paged me to the oar, but I had to take you home first because you're my husband.
Derek: You're my wife. The post it note verifies that.
Meredith: I love you. I'll see you when I get home tonight.
Derek: I love you too.
S7: L.A; Addie's room.
Addison: I'm going to be a horrible mother aren't I? We have been sitting here talking instead of me asking you to go find another ob surgeon. You can get whoever is on call.
Amelia: What if I do it? Yes, my skills are a little rusty, I am sure I'll be fine.
Addison: I'll tell you what to do. In the first place, how am I going to take care of a baby if I don't know how to care of myself?
Amelia: You'll get there.
Addison: How do you know?
Amelia: I know because even I got there. I am a hundred times messier than you are. Everyone can get there. I got there. By the time that I was ready to be... his mother, he was going to die.
Addison: I know. I'm sorry. Let's start the ultra sound.
S7- Seattle; OAR one.
Callie: Grey, scrub in!
Owen: Kepner, keep getting more gauze to handle that bleeding before he bleeds out.
Arizona: Uh...Um... Hunt?
Owen: What Arizona?
Jo: I can go talk to Doctor Robbins outside if you like, sir. I'll come back and tell you.
Owen: Thanks Wilson, you're a life saver. ( They exit).
S8- The OAR gallery.
Jo: Stephanie's methods really work.
Shane: Suck up. Isn't this so cool that we are in an unfertile environment while surgery?
Stephanie: No. Not that cool. Only for the reckless suregons, not prescie, brillant neurosurgeons like me.
Shane: Your real neurosurgeon attending will be back next Tuesday. It's not going to be Lexie Grey.
Stephanie: Shut up!
S9- OAR.
Callie: Okay, Hunt, I'm ready for you to tell the antestoglist that he can take him off of spinal anthesia. This really is my least favorite part of being an ortho goddess.
Owen: It's the goddess part. Now everyone clap for Dr. Torres! She just saved Eli Jone's life again!
S8- SGMH's hallway.
Arizona: I'm fine. Really.
Jo: You don't look fine. Dr. Robbins, you are a part of the Seattle grace five. Even those superhero's get a little burnt out. I know how hard it was for you to live without a leg.
Arizona: I am still living without a leg. If you really want to help me, you'll let me rest here until I become my happier self, for god's sakes, you'll finally give Karev a chance!
Jo: I respect your wishes Dr. Robbins. I have to go tell Eli's family now that his leg has been successfuly amputated in order to save his life.
Penny: I'll do that.
Jo: Are you sure? It's your first day here. Nobody wants to tell someone's mom that their eight-year old son's leg has been chopped off.
Penny: I got assigned to another case when Dr. Torres started the amputation. I saw this little boy when he came in.For his recovery time, I want to be the one to monitor him. I want to be the one to tell his worried mother that came in with him.
Jo: Okay then.
S10- The NICU.
Alex: What do you want?
Jo: I'm sorry for what I said at the party. You know that I didn't mean any of that, right? You are not an unlovable mess.
Alex: Did you ever think about the fact that... maybe... just maybe, you weren't the only person with a bad childhood? Ever since you came here, that's always been your excuse for everything. Now it's your excuse for not listening to Robbins when she told you that you and I would be a good match. You would not ruin me. I wouldn't ruin you.
Jo: For the record, you and I would be a good match. It's just— I'm not ready.
Alex: Neither am I. Have you heard of Izzie Stevens?
Jo: I didn't go to med school in Mexico! Of course, I know who she is! She invented the Stevens method.
Alex: That was the love of my life.
Jo: What happened?
Alex: She got cancer. We just drifted and faded out. I don't exactly know why. We just weren't meant to be.
Jo: I'm going to sit with you is that okay?
Alex: Yeah.
S11- Day- care center.
Counselor: Are you leaving early Dr. Grey?
Meredith: Zozo and I need to head home earlier to go see daddy.
Counselor: You two have a good time.
Arizona: Hey, what are you doing here?
Meredith: I'm just picking up Zola. You?
Arizona: Callie and I are going to Lexie and Mark's house, because apparently, she has some news.
Meredith: Oh, you'll be so happy when you find out! She came over this morning to have breakfast with Zola, Derek, and I when she told us.
Arizona: I'm intrigued. Goodnight.
Meredith: Goodbye Arizona.
S12- Meredith and Derek's house.
Meredith: Derek?
Derek: I'm in the kitchen.
Zola: Hi Daddy!
Derek: Hey Zozo!
Meredith: Um... Why is there cake on the coffe table?
Derek: Just follow me.
Meredith: I'm still wondering.
Zola: Mommy, just follow him.
Derek: Okay. This cake is for afterwards for us to eat. First, I want to show you this poem.
Meredith: I am definitely interested. Are you going to show my daughter how dark and twisty I am?
Zola: Mommy, you aren't dark and twisty!
Meredith: I wouldn't be mommy if I wasn't dark and twisty.
Derek: Okay. Is everyone ready?
Zola: Yes daddy.
Meredith: Me too.
Meredith: Derek Shepard, did you write me a sonnet?
Derek: It's not a sonnet. It's a poem. Go ahead and read it. I'll get the cake ready.
Meredith: We promised each other a bunch of things on a post-it note. My love for you is a testimony to my faithfulness, to my commitment, and to my love for you and our family.
Derek: Romantic isn't it?
Meredith: Yuck! For real through, thank you. I love you. I'm so happy you're alive. I never thought that I would be happy during my lifetime, but then I met you. Are You ready to cut the cake?
Zola: Yes! Cut the cake! ( Zola walks into the kitchen).
Derek: Do you what to share a slice?
Meredith: We are doctors and we are eating one of the most unhealthiest foods. Whatever. I'm not on-call. ( Derek gives Zola a slice).
Meredith: What do we say?
Zola: Thank you daddy.
Meredith: Good girl. Eat the cake at the table.
S13- L.A; Addison's balcony.
Sam: What are You ladies doing here on this fine, fine night in L.A?
Amelia: Can I tell him?
Sam: Tell me What?
Addison: Were neighbors. He'll find out sooner or later.
Amelia: Addie's pregnant! She was a little worried about her impending future, but I calmed her down. We went and brought the cutest crib ever. Uh.. Also, you've got a new neighbor.
Sam: Who's that?
Amelia: This girl! We also have an ultrasound for you to see. I figure you probably don't want to see that. Step over the boxes as you come in. Addie, you okay?
Addison: I'm fine. You two go enjoy yourselves.
Amelia: Do You rember what we talked about?
Addison: Yes. I don't have memory loss. It's going to be hard. The flight is already booked. Watch over the house while I'm gone.
Amelia: Got it. You've got a roommate now.
Sam: Where's the baby's room? (Yells from inside).
Amelia: Im coming.
S14- Callie and Arizona's car.
Callie: Do you want to talk about why you walked out on the patient today, Eli Jones?
Arizona: No. Just don't mention anything about bones, orthopedics tonight, please... I just need a break. I am living with one leg instead of two, you're an othopedic surgeon, I just need to forget about it for tonight. I know that you wanted me to scrub in, but I just couldn't. Alex Karev is assagined to Eli's case now. I know since he's very important to you, he's also important to me. That's why he's getting the second me.
Callie: Thank you. We're here. You can forget about it and laugh at all of the jokes Mark makes that he thinks are funny, but they're really not that funny.
Arizona: Okay. Let's ring in the doorbell.
( Addison's voiceover while Arizona and Callie get up to ring the doorbell); Addison's voiceover: most pregnant women only see two words as the words "I'm pregnant". There are people all around you that are here to help. All you have to do is ring the doorbell into the place where you are needed. But just, sometimes, that might be the words idea anyone has ever had. Entiering a new place comes a new event to happen, sometimes that event is something you never saw coming.
( Back to present day).
Mark: We have to get her to the hospital right now! She's having a miscarriage! We cannot waste time! Just call 911. Now Torres!
The end- oh my lord, loved this chapter is my opinion, but I want to know what you guys think. I'm always looking for ways that I can improve my AU, and what characters/ ships you would like to see more of going forward.
