Jack's POV

I was running away from a very angry teacher, a hot angry teacher. She's was hot on my tail. The flour was flying everywhere to the ground.

"Wow, she's fast" I thought

We went around the house. She kept up with me, a little more. I tried to go faster but my legs wasn't keeping up. Then, she tackled me.

"Gotcha, Brewer!"

Who knew this woman knows how to tackle. Makes me fall in love her more. I went face first. Once on the ground she flipped me to face her. Kim was giving look "Bet you didn't know, I can to that did ya?"

She was on top of me and her legs were weighting down my hips, so I wouldn't get away. We looked each other and blushed. We sat up, and sat just there for a bit .

I saw the rest of the sack of flour of right beside us which she saw too. She looked at me with a smirk.

"Oh, no" I thought

She quickly grabbed the sack of flour. Now, there was no way out of it. I couldn't run away anymore. I lost. Subsequently, Kim poured the rest of the sack of flour on top of my head making my whole head white.

I shook my head spreading the flour unto to Kim. She gave me that look again. I just her gave a smile and she smiled back. We were both enjoying the moment when suddenly the fire alarm starting blaring, loudly.

"OMG, we about forgot the griddle" we said at same time

"I'll go find Cali" she said

She got off me and went to find Cali. I quickly got up and ran the kitchen. Once, I was there a big flame had flourish. There was lot of smoke. It was hard to breathe. So, I quickly ran to get the fire extinguisher and came back to extinguished the flame. When the flame was gone. I sighed. But the stove was a bit damaged.

"My sister is going to kill me" I muttered to myself

Kim came in with Cali. She had a worried expression on her face.

"Jack, it's everything alright? Are you alright?" she asked

"Yeah, I'm fine" I replied

Cali came up to me and asked "So, no more chocolate chip pancakes?"

"I'm sorry Cali, no more chocolate chip pancakes"

My niece looked like she was about cry for not getting any pancakes.

"How about we go to iHOP?" Kim suggested

"Do they have pancakes there?" Cali asked her

But I replied instead "Yes, Cali they have pancakes there. That's why call it the house of pancakes!"

"Okay, let's go then!" Cali said excitedly

"We have get changed, first before we go" I said

Cali excitedly raced to her room to get changed.

"Jack, do you have anything change with?"

"Why?"

Kim clearly annoyed, said "For your information, Jack. I'm covered in flour and you are too! "

"Oh right, I'll try find some my sister clothes. While you freshen up again."

"Thank you."

Kim went back to my room and I headed my sister room find clothes for Kim. I went to the room and looked for one. I was going to be hard because my sister had a lot of clothes. After a few minutes, I found the perfect one. I went back to my room to give Kim the clothes.

"Hey, Kim. Your clothes are here on the bed"

"Okay, thanks Jack" she said

I quickly went to guest room to shower and got changed.

Time Skips (Kim's POV)

After I freshened up, I walked out of Jack's room. I couldn't help noticed Jack checking me out as he was standing at door. We waited a couple minutes for Cali.

"Cali, let's go! Or we'll leave without you" Jack teased

Suddenly, Cali came running to the front door.

"Uncle Jackie, don't leave me!" Cali cried out

"Okay, if your fixed hair, clothes and put shoes on. We won't leave you"

Cali nodded. After all that commotion, Jack drove us to the nearest IHOP. Once we were there, we got off the car and headed to restaurant. As we walked in, everyone starting was looking us because Jack was holding my hand. I immediately blushed. Jack pulled me towards our table while Cali was ahead. We sat down. Jack sat beside Cali and I sat on the other side. The waitress came greeted us and handed us the menu. After a few minutes we ordered. Jack and I talked for a bit and Cali was colouring her picture. After 10 minutes, the pancakes came. Cali was very excited. I ordered the strawberry/banana/Nutella waffles. Jack ordered the blueberry pancakes and of course Cali ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. After eating the waffles I was so full. I couldn't another eat another bite.

"Kim, you have some syrup on your cheek"

"Huh, where?"

"Right there" Jack pointed

"Here?"

"No, not there"

"Then, where?"

"Here, let just me help" he offered.

Jack came to my side. I froze. Suddenly, Jack placed his hand on my cheek and started leaning in closing the space between us.

"Oh my gosh, is he going to kiss me?"

My hands were getting sweating and my heart was pounding so hard. He was leaning in closer, then I felt his tongue on my cheek as licked the syrup off my cheek. "See, all clean." Jack smirked

My heart just dropped. I wanted to faint. Jack and I kept our eye contact. Then, I heard an old woman say to her husband as they were walking by "Aww, look Murphy. Newlyweds. They remind of us when we were younger"

I looked at Jack, I knew he heard that old woman's comment. Jack went back his seat beside Cali. We're now in completely awkward silence as waiting we for Cali to finished her pancakes.

Cali's POV

I witnessed the cutest/grosses thing I've ever seen in my lifetime as a kid, I think. Maybe, they do like each other. All I need from them is a kiss to confirm it. Ms. Crawford would make such a good auntie. I went back to reality because I really needed to the bathroom badly.

"Uncle Jackie, I need to go the washroom." I piped up

Uncle Jackie stood up but Ms. Crawford stopped him. "Jack, don't worry. I'll take her. Come on Cali let's go"

Ms. Crawford got out the booth and grabbed my hand and we went to the washroom.

Jack's POV

When Kim and Cali was gone, the old man came by and sat beside him.

"Young man, she's really a real keeper. Don't let her go." Murphy said

"But she ain't mine" I sighed

"Sonny, what's wrong?"

"It's complicated"

"Care to explain?"

"Should I really talk to this old man about my problems. Oh, what the hell." I thought.

"Do believe in love at first sight?" I started

Silence

"Well. I have. When I first time saw her, l instantly fell in love. I just knew she was the one for me and that I want her make her happy. But thing is that I don't know if she want me because she's still hung up about what happened 2 years ago"

"What happened, 2 years ago?"

"Her soon to be husband, dumped on her that alter for an other woman"

"Oh my"

"Yeah... I want her so badly. But she won't give me a chance"

"Boy, you need to make change her mind."

"But how?"

"Treat her like shes worth it"

Our little chat was cut short as Kim and Cali came back from washroom. "Well, I get should back to my wife. Nice, talking to you kid" said Murphy

"Thanks again. Murph!" I said

"Good-luck, sonny boy" he said as left

"Ready to go?" I asked the girls

Kim and Cali nodded. "What was that all about?" Kim asked

"Nothing. Just talking about guy stuff." I said

"Sure, it was." she said as she didn't believe me

"It was!"

"Whatever you say, Jack" Kim said laughing

"Did she hear everything I said to Murphy?" I thought

No One's POV

After three of us had IHOP, Jack took us to mall where Kim showed where it was. Cali wanted to watch a movie. So, they watched Tangled. After the movie, they went to arcade. Kim beat Jack DDR. Jack won a huge toy for Cali. Afterwards, Jack even gave Kim a shopping spree even she didn't want too but he insisted. Since, it was getting dark, Jack drove Kim to back to her apartment while Cali asleep at the back. When they arrived Kim thanked Jack.

"Thanks, Jack for today and for these." Kim said as she lifted her shopping bags

"You're welcome. Goodnight, Kim" Jack said

Kim's POV

"Goodnight, Jack"

I leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips before walking away.

Cali's POV (awake in the car)/Jack's POV

Ms. Crawford kissed Uncle Jackie/She kissed me.
