A/N I procrastinated this chapter all weekend, but I wanted to get it out before School. I hope everyone's taken and is taking care of themselves. For those who aren't, get some tea, a blanket and do some R&R.

Enjoy.

Kim's POV

The door opened to Roxy's frustrated face and she eyed the curling wand I was brandishing like a weapon in my hands.

"You do realise Cass has little hair right." She said, still staring down the hair tool.

"Indeed I do." I said as she finally sidestepped, allowing me into the house. After much covert research, and by covert I mean looking at every picture of Kit we could find on his facebook page whilst ensure no accidental likes were clicked.

"Where is the short haired slut anyways?" The question was answered as I asked by the less than voices echoing down the stairs. Yelling 'hi' to Cass' mom who was watching her soaps in the living room, I ran up the stairs to Cass' room.

Inside I found lonely mountain of clothing on Cass' bed, a cross eyes Mel and a half frantic Cass.

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph." I muttered, having half a mind to retreat. Taking a deep breath I put on my best doctor voice.

"What seems to be the problem?"

Their eyes flashed over to where I stood in the door. Cass growled, throwing her hands up in the air.

"I have nothing to wear!"

I eyed the clothes pile dubiously, begging to differ. Catching my look Cass rephrased.

"I want something that says I'm high maintenance but also know how to suck dick like a champ."

I snorted at that and laughed my way over to her bed. I rifled through the swaying pile until I found what I was looking for. Holding up my spoils, I heard an ooh come from Roxy, who walked into the room with various snack in her arms.

"Nice." Cass agreed.

We looked to Mel who was frowning as she typed on her phone.

"Melanie, dear?"

"Huh?" Was the intellectual answer that came from her.

"Hun, you stare any harder at that phone and you're gonna burn a hole through it." Rox joked, but her face was concerned.

"Oh." She laughed, but it was more of a courtesy than real amusement. "It's just Ryan." She sighed.

The three of us all looked at each other. He had been hounding her since the wedding a week ago, something about him being annoyed that Mel had been MIA all day. We had understood a little at first, but now it was just plain unnecessary.

Mel looked up and saw our shared glance. "No." SHe said immediately.

"No one said anything!" Rox yelped defensively.

"I know you guys and I can handle it. It's nothing." She glared. "In fact," Mel shoved her phone into her pocket. "It can wait until tomorrow."

We all stared hard at Mel but it was clear she wasn't going to budge on letting us intervene, so I sighed and held up the clothes once more.

"Don't forget your keys!"

"Your phone!"

"Your purse!"

"Your rape whistle!"

"Your condoms!"

We all turned to Cass' mom with raised eyebrows.

"What!? I just want her to be safe." Now you understand why we're all so weird, because all our parents are basically the same. I shrugged, agreeing with Mama Cass.

I was too young and sexy to be a godmother.

"Mom, I'm not putting out on the first date." Cass said annoyed. "You raised me better than that."

"Well that outfit could have fooled me." Poor Kit didn't stand a chance. We had pulled out the big guns for this date, a rare thing but Cass had seemed particularly interested in this one. We're talking low riders and a pink shirt with cleavage. A lot of cleavage. I've never really been a fan of low riders myself but they sure know how to make a man pant.

. . . or so I've heard. Anywho.

The curling iron had been unnecessary, but we had tied a cute pink bandanna around her hair like one of those diner girls.

A knock on the door had us all rushing to it in front of Cass, barging her not so gently out of the way. We were all shushing each other loudly. I had no doubt Kit could hear us but we all pretended he couldn't. We opened the door with our sternest faces on, probably looking more constipated than anything, with Cass pinching the bridge of her nose and shaking our heads behind us.

It's her fault for being friends with us. She knows how we do. We all stared at him until Cass' mom managed to push her way to the front. She eyed Kit up and down, which was comical since he was about 6ft and Cass' mom was 5"2.

"So," She said in her deepest voice possible. "What are your intentions tonight?"

Kit gulped and shrugged awkwardly. "Well, we're gonna watch a movie and then get something to eat?" It was phrased as a question, almost as if expecting Cass' mom to reject the idea of a movie.

"Ok!" She exclaimed brightly, smiling.

We then, not so gently, manouvered Cass to the front of the group, ignoring her shouts of protest. Kit's eyes widened not so subtly at the sight of her and it was hard for us not to smile at our handiwork. Someone passed her her jacket and purse.

"You wanna get going?" Cass asked when it became clear that Kit was unable to form a coherent sentence. Kit nodded vigorously and they made their way to his small two door car.

"You crazy kids have fun." I yelled down as we waved them off like proud parents.

Mel, Rox and I were all curled up on the sofa watching America's Next Top Model reruns. Mama Cass had gone to bed early, trusting us with the charge of seeing Cass in. It was around 11 when we heard the latch turn in the door. We muted the TV excitedly and twisted to look at the doorway in which Cass would appear.

She walked in twirling her keys on one finger and a sly smile on her face. Ignoring our nodding smiling faces she collapsed on the sofa next to us and unmuted the TV.

"Excuse you!" Rox demanded, muting it once more.

"We didn't stay up for love struck smiles and TV." I said.

"Damn straight. We want deets." Mel finished. We cocked the bitch brow for emphasis. Cass sighed dramatically and twisted her body to face us, resting her elbow on the back of the couch and her face on her hand. Past experience had told us to expect something crass or mildly raunchy but all she did was smile.

"It was nice." That simple phrase shocked us all and we sat straighter in our seats. She rolled her eyes. "I mean he was a gentleman, and he didn't spend the night staring at my tits." At that we raised our brows again, because that wasn't an option in that shirt. "Okay, not the entire night." She conceded. "We actually talked. He asked me questions about things that weren't superficial. He actually wanted to know."

The rest of us looked between each other with glee on our faces. We were all thinking the same thing. That Cass might actually get into her first long lasting relationship, and with a good guy to boot.

"Did you kiss him?" Mel whispered. Cass' smile answered that question and we said no more, realising that she wanted to keep it to herself.

"We're happy for you hun." Rox finally said and that was the end of it. We unmuted ANTM and watched a few more episodes before we curled up together on the living room floor and fell asleep.

Kit's POV

I felt a little bad listening in on their conversation, but I had genuinely wanted to know if she had enjoyed the date. It was kind of simple but Forks didn't really have much to offer in terms of excitement. Pulling away from the spot on the corner of her street I drove back to the Rez.

The second I stepped out of my car I could smell Cole and figured he was waiting for me in my room. We had hung out after school before my . . . date. It was weird to think that I was dating but it was what it was.

The small one wooden house was dark and I figured my parents hadn't waited up for me. I entered quietly, locking the door behind me and knowing it wouldn't be of any use to some of the things out there. My house was only one story and my bedroom was at the back. My dad's snores drifted out into the hallway comfortingly as I padded silently past my parents bedroom.

My bedside lamp was on and Cole was laying on the guest mattress that I kept under my bed, my second hand laptop on his legs.

"Sup man." He said, his eyes still trained on the screen.

"You better not be watching porn man." I joked in greeting, throwing my jacket into my closet and my keys on my bedside table.

"If I am it's because it was bookmarked."

Smiling, I stripped down to my boxers and threw on a wife beater, stepping over him and into my bed.

"Your dad gone." I asked

"Yeah," He said, finally looking up and shutting the laptop. "He's on a three day run to Salt Lake." I nodded understandingly. Ever since Cole's mom had died when he was eleven, his dad had taken on longer delivery runs to make more cash, leaving Cole with me and my parents. It didn't leave much time for face to face bonding but Cole was still close with his dad and Mr Wiklah was a good guy. He was like a brother to me and my parents never minded having him around.

"How was your date?" The question was followed by smooching sounds and I threw a pillow at the idiot on the floor.

"Fuck off Cole." I laughed, him joining in. "It was . . . " I let out a rush of air. "And if I didn't know it was for me, her outfit would've made me see red man."

"Aww," Cole pouted. "You're in love already man." I reached down and punched him, but he just laughed harder.

"Ass." I muttered reaching out and clicking off the light.

"Goodnight, Kitty-witty poo." He cooed and I resisted the urge to kick him.

I was too keyed up to sleep, even as Cole began to snore softly next to me, so I closed my eyes and re-lived the night.

*flashback*

We were laughing as we stumbled out of the movie theatre.

"That film was so stupid." Cass giggled, clutching my arm. Laughing too hard to reply, I nodded.

"Horror writers need to take a dip into reality." I finally managed to squeeze out.

"So where to now?" She asked, looking up at me. I paused, unable to process the look she was giving me. The arm she wasn't holding crept up to her neck and I stepped into her space.

"We can go get pizza?" I muttered, staring into her beautiful brown eyes.

"That's sounds good." She nodded slowly before licking her lips.

With a small groan I closed the distance, pressing my lips against hers. The were soft and a little sticky from her lip gloss, but that made it better I think, my lips almost fusing to hers. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled herself closer to me. We made out shamelessly in the middle of the road.

She pulled away, gasping for air, but I was happy to continue holding my breath. A middle aged women walked past us, muttering about lack of manners and PDA and we began to laugh. Stepping away from each other, I grabbed her hand.

"I know the best, and by best I mean only, pizza place." I smiled, and pulled her away with me. We continued to kiss casually for the rest of the evening, unable to help ourselves.

A/N And there we have it. I'm working on the next chapter and am aiming for next weekend, but life tends to throw a lot of lemons at me (pun not intended) I love you guys, review and favourite and I'll check you later.

Adios.
