Disclaimer: I don't own Ninjago.
Ninjago is at rest during the fall of night. Almost everyone is asleep. Almost. The ninjas have spent the day training the new Elemental Master, the Society of Ghosts have been preparing for their plan, and Lloyd is asleep in his tent. Hamato sleeps in another tent next to Lloyd's. Although they slept for their day tomorrow, one individual is wide awake and on the duo's trail.
Far from Lloyd and Hamato, a Shadow walks along a path. His clothing is an all black ninja gi. A hilt of a sword is trapped in between a disk that rest on his back. He has pale skin, black hair, and red eyes. This Shadow is the Specter, one of the most dangerous and deadliest Shadows to exist. In his time he was tasked for killing any Elemental Masters he could find. And now, after many years at rest, he has been awaken again to continue his task.
Specter walks up to a fork in his path. One leads left while the other goes right. Specter kneels down and picks up some dirt. He waves it in front of his nose and smells it.
"Where did you go, Green Ninja?" Specter asks.
He smells the dirt one last time before dropping it all.
"No one can hide from me." Specter said as he ran down the left path.
The next day, Lloyd and Hamato walked through the forest. Along the way, Hamato trained Lloyd in using his Jade Blade. Standard attacks and blocks were used mostly. Do to his time as a ninja, Lloyd was already familiar with sword training. One thing the Jade Blades did do that others swords couldn't was that the blades are connected to chains that can unattach when pushing the jewel down at the bottom of the hilt. Lloyd had trouble with this the most seeing how he almost shot one of the blades through Hamato's head.
"So basically, the blades can help you hit a far away target, grab onto something, or pulling something down or towards you." Hamato said.
"The Master of Weapons has clearly put a lot of time in these blades." Lloyd said.
"He has. Although the master of killing machines, he himself is a very kind hearted soul." Hamato said.
"So he and the Original Elemental Masters are apart of some council that watches all of Ninjago?" Lloyd asked.
"Yes. They watch over all of us." Hamato said.
"Do any of them intervene with our lives? Like, do they see their descendants any time in their lives. I know my grandfather has, but what about the others?" Lloyd asked.
"No, it's actually forbidden." Hamato said.
"Forbidden? But my grandfather has visted me many times. Most recently when I died." Lloyd said.
"Yes, he was given special privilege because you are the Green Ninja. However, the other masters have become annoyed with it. They have voted and he can no longer visit or help you." Hamato explained.
"What? But he's the First Spinjitzu Master the Original Master of Power! He created this world so he should be in charge up there!" Lloyd was angry.
"Your grandfather views it differently. He decided that every action taken will be done with a vote of the council." Hamato said.
"That sucks." Lloyd said.
"Tell me about it. The Jade Blades are the last thing he will ever give you." Hamato said.
"So the other masters haven't even met their descendants?" Lloyd asked.
"Nope. The only time they come to Earth is to..." Hamato started.
"Is to what?" Lloyd asked.
"To mate with mortals." Hamato finished.
"Mate?" Lloyd said shocked.
"Yes, mate. It means to-" Hamato started.
"I know what it means! They all do it!?" Lloyd asked.
"Every single one of them." Hamato said.
"Aren't some of them married? Like Weapons and Beauty?" Lloyd asked.
"Hey, you got to keep your Element alive somehow. It's not like we can make them out of clay. Well not in this timeline anyway." Hamato said.
Lloyd shook his head as he thought about all of this. Eventually, Lloyd and Hamtao were out of the forest and at the edge of the Kingdom Phocis, the kingdom home to the immortal king. Lloyd and Hamato walked up to a nearby building: A bar.
"I need to go to the others now. It's time Ivy recieved her Kunoichi uniform." Hamato said.
"Wait, what am I supposed to do?" Lloyd asked.
"Well, we need to see the King. Go inside and ask if there's a way to do that." Hamato said.
"OK, but-" Lloyd started.
"I must go, Lloyd, when the ninjas aren't expecting me. Good luck." Hamato said before he vanished.
Lloyd stood at the door of the bar. He took a deep breath and cracked his neck.
"Show time." Lloyd said as he opened the door.
The doors opened up and Lloyd saw that a few men were sitting at tables or the bar. Each one of them looked filthy and were beyond skinny. The inside of the bar smelled and looked horrible as well. Lloyd looked at the men to see that they weren't trying to make eye contact with him and were shaking. Lloyd walked in the pub and walked to the bar.
He took a seat on a stool which almost broke due to Lloyd's new found weight. Lloyd looked to his left and to his right to see that the men were looking away from him. Lloyd then tapped the bar counter.
"Bar keep?" Lloyd asked.
Very slowy, another dirty looking man in rags walked up to Lloyd.
"C-Can I-I help y-you, sir." The bartender stuttered.
"I'd like a glass of water." Lloyd said.
"OK." The bartender said shyly.
Lloyd smiled at him. It was, the first time in a long time, someone actually smiled in the kingdom. Also, the first time someone smiled at the him. The bartender could feel something inside of him. Happiness.
The bartender returned with a glass of water.
"Thank you." Lloyd smiled again.
"Y-Your welcome." The bartender gave a small smile.
During this, everyone in the bar was looking at Lloyd.
"You're not f-from around h-here are you?" One said.
"Actually, no I'm not. I'm a Ninja. The Green Ninja." Lloyd answered kindly.
"The Green Ninja!" They all yelled.
"I take it that you've heard of me?" Lloyd laughed.
"There are a lot rumors about you around here!" Another man said.
Questions were soon given to Lloyd.
"Is it true you were born from a dragon?"
"Did you really destroy the Serpentine with one punch?"
"I heard you took The Great Devourer's skin to make new gi!"
"Are you here to rescue us!?"
"Guys, guys, guys! One at a time please!" Lloyd laughed.
For a whole hour, Lloyd answered all the questions the villagers had. They would ooh and ahh from time to time and Lloyd would laugh as he remembered his past adventures foundly. Soon everyone had their questions answered and were more comfortable talking to Lloyd. Lloyd was also able to learn their names.
"That's incredible." One man, Ia, said.
"Tell me about it. Well I answered your questions, do you mind if you answer mine?" Lloyd asked.
They shook their heads no.
"Is there a way for me to see the King?" Lloyd asked.
The bar grew silent.
"Was it something I said?" Lloyd asked.
"No one sees the King without the guards approval." The bartender said.
"OK, then where are the guards?" Lloyd asked.
The door opened up again and everyone turned their heads. They saw five mean standing in the door way. These men wore black and red samurai armour. Their faces were covered so you could only see their glowing green eyes. Each one had sword and a red mouthpiece except for the one in the middle who wore a gold mouthpiece. These were the Royal Guards.
They all stepped inside and glared at the men.
"Why are you all in here? Get back to your crops!" The leader yelled.
"Kraza, we have an outsider." Another guard said.
The leader, Kraza, smirked under his mask. He walked up to the bar and threw a man, Bori, out of his seat next to Lloyd. Kraza then sat down.
"Who are you?" Kraza asked.
Lloyd didn't say anything. Instead he finished off the last of his glass of water.
"I asked you a question, boy." Kraza said.
"That's the Green Ninja and he's not afraid of any of you!" Dachi told them.
The four other guards snarled at him.
"The Green Ninja? So you do exist. Not much of a talker though." Kraza said.
"That was my friend you threw." Lloyd said.
"Oh yeah, well what are you going to do about it?" Kraza mocked.
In the blink of an eye, Lloyd threw Kraza out of a window.
"That." Lloyd said.
The other four jumped to Lloyd. He punched one in head, one in the stomach and threw the third one into the fourth one. Lloyd then picked up the four guards and threw them out the same window. They all landed on Kraza.
It was at this time, Hamato reappeared.
"Oh lord, Lloyd. I leave you alone for three minutes and I come back to this!?" Hamato asked.
"Three minutes? I've been here an hour." Lloyd told him.
"We can discuss who can travel through time and who can't a different time another day. We need to leave now." Hamato told him.
"Hold on." Lloyd said as he turned his head back to the bartender. "So we just need the guards approval?"
"Yes, on;y they can get inside of the castle though. They have the keys." The bartender explained.
"Alright, thank you." Lloyd thanked. "Let's go, Hamato."
Hamato left the bar and Lloyd followed after him. Lloyd stopped at the door and turned around. He then threw a few gold coins at te bartender.
"For the drinks and repairs." Lloyd smiled.
"Thank you, Green Ninja." The bartender said.
Lloyd tied up the five guards, who were all knocked out. Lloyd looked past the village and saw the castle on a mountain in the distance.
"Have fun carrying them." Hamato said.
"Lloyd, wait!" Ia yelled.
Lloyd turned around and saw Ia with a horse, Bori with a large cart, and Dachi with rope.
"Please, take my horse to ride up the mountain." Ia said.
"And take my cart to carry them in." Bori said.
"Take my rope to tie the cart to the horse, please." Dachi said.
"Everyone...Thank you." Lloyd thanked.
Dachi tied the cart to the horse's saddle and Lloyd threw the guards inside. Lloyd then mounted on Ia's horse.
"Come on, Hamato." Lloyd said as he held his hand out.
"If it's all the same to you, Green Ninja, I'll just sit in the cart." Hamato said as he climbed inside.
The cart was long enough to have the guards at one end and Hamato at the other. Lloyd thanked his newfound friends once again before riding off towards the mountain.
"Next stop, the Oracle." Lloyd said.
"What? What Happened?" Kraza said dazed.
Hamato grabbed a stick which was laying in the cart, and hit Kraza in the head, knocking him out.
