Say my name

"It isn't real is it?" Allen asked looking around the suddenly empty cafeteria feeling that he might break apart every minute.

Lenalee took his right hand and gently pressed it against her check shaking her head. "No, it's not."

"It's just a…dream." As he let those words out, he felt relieved as if he let a terrible rock off his chest. Like he could take a deep breath for a first time in many, many years.

"Yes," she agreed with a soft smile playing on her face. "This all, the town, your family even me…were all just some unreal images created by your imagination."

"So you… now talking to me is just me myself talking to me…." He was trying really hard but it was just too strange and impossible to understand it.

She suddenly moved her face and tenderly kissed his fingers. "Allen, deep inside you remember. Your mind remembers all you have to do is to stop pushing it away. "

Allen swallowed and closed his eyes more to not see his hand pressed to her lips then to concentrated 'cause it felt too real.

It came as s flash of pictures. Life with Mana, Cross, the Order, his friends, comrades at the end his last mission when he got injured.

It was a terrible fight. There were just too many Akumas. The Earl got him unprepared. One minute he was fighting with an Akuma and the Earl was standing near him and striking him with Dark Matter but what happen then Allen didn't know.

Suddenly Allen pulled his hand away from her and with his left one he cover the left side of his face.

'The pain. Damn it hurts like hell.'

"I know Allen but you have to fight it!" said 'Lenalee' but Allen froze and with his one eye covered looked focusing on her and slowly going over the pain. She looked like Lenalee and sounded like Lenalee but for a moment Allen had a feeling it wasn't Lenalee but either just an imagination. It was…

"Yes Allen, it's me, your innocence," she said slowly.

Allen put his hands away. "I remember… I was hurt… by the Earl."

She nodded. "You were hit with a strong black magic curse. You got stuck in this," she looked around, "dream world of yours not knowing of who you really are so you wouldn't try to wake up."

"I still don't understand," he shook his head.

'Lenalee' sighed. "Imagine that you are your soul and thanks to the curse you got separated from you memories your mind so you won't wake up and as some support you created without knowing this world of yours to fill the empty place I guess."

"But if this is all just imagination of what I want then why did I…why did Mana died?"

"That's was because of me. You started asking question and paying attention to details the curse figured out that it will be best to keep you busy thinking about this world. You see, it's hard for me sometimes to get to you through the spell. It's quite awful and strong. But when I do get here the curse can't come to you. I am protecting you and your mind is getting clearer."

Allen nodded but couldn't help it and blush a bit thinking about the few very intimate moments they shared in which she knew all the time what he was thinking.

"I know you feel quite uncomfortable but it was the only way. I couldn't get to you as a mystical ball of pure energy or your red hand and since you already placed Mana, Lenalee was the best second choice… since you have really deep feelings toward her."

He blushed even more and brushed his hair so it fell in front of his face. "It's really strange to talk about it when you look like her."

"I am sorry, Allen but you were sleeping for too long and your friends, your real friends are out there, in the Order and they're waiting for you to come back to them."

Allen looked at her and frowned. "I was sleeping a long time wasn't I?"

She nodded. "Too long for the girl whose this image belongs to."

"What should I do?" asked he asked.

"Well, you should figure out for sure if you want to leave because if you don't we shouldn't even try. This world is yours and now that you know it you could create an even better one full of all the people from the Order," she said and he looked through the window that suddenly appeared there actually thinking about the idea. Now that he remembered his previous life. He felt the easiness of this world. No duties or missions to accomplish, no nothing. Just an ordinary life whatever way he wants it.

He looked at her. His innocent dress up in Lenalee's skin. She looked just like her she spoke just like her but it wasn't her. And neither Mana that he created wasn't his real father. None of this was real or right and he shouldn't even be thinking about it. Maybe he could live a perfect life here but only if he didn't remember his previous life but again he wouldn't be happy because he would know he forgot something.

'Lenalee' chuckled. "I knew you would were going to do that. You're a good person, Allen Walker. That's why I am honored to be yours," she said smiling.

He also smiled. "What should I do?"

"You need to find the sore that's keeping you locked inside and making you not thinking about your real life. It has to be something or someone who's distracting you and when you're near it you just forget about me or feel like I was an enemy."

Allen frowned. "You said you're protecting me from the curse and that I'll ask question. Do you think he maybe can't appear when you're around?"

She nodded.

"Then I know who it is."

She stood up. "Good luck Allen Walker. I know that next time you see me I'll be on your arm."

"Good evening Mr. Adam," said Allen as he came up the town's near cliff.

Mr. Adam was sitting on a small bench. Allen went to the edge and seeing that it seemed higher than he had remembered he smiled. Hardly anything seemed the way he remembered these days.

"Hello Allen," said the figure coldly. Allen smirked. No more polite matter, finally!

"I know there was something strange and bad about you I just didn't know what."

"But know you do, so what will you do about it? Stay and live a happy life however you want to? Or go and suffer in a longtime-lost war and see how slowly all your friends one by one die? What do you want to do, boy?"

Allen chuckled. "I have a choice?"

"Allen, I'm not an everlasting spell and you're not an ordinary weak human. I'm just a small piece of what was left from the curse and I'm tired."

"So I can leave? Without anything?"

"What? You want a kiss goodbye? I'm just a weapon of the Earl not his follower, boy."

Allen nodded and still looking at him took a step backwards closer to the edge. "Well, then thank you for not fighting me," he said jumped from the cliff.

"Don't thank me, boy," he heard the man saying with a really strong British accent.

As he was falling he noticed how his brown hair was slowly losing its color and how a slight pain hit his eye. He smiled and closed his eyes waiting for what's going to happen.

It took a while until Allen opened his eyes to find himself sleeping in some hospital room. Carefully he sat up feeling more than happy that he wasn't hurt and he could normally moved.

He looked around the room and smiled a bit with a little blush when he saw Miranda and Lavi whose head was lying on her shoulder sleeping in a sitting position on the other bed.

The door opened and shorthaired Lenalee Lee with a food plate walked slowly in. When she saw him sitting on that bed like nothing was wrong she almost let the plate fall on the ground but his finger pressed on his lips and his right hand pointing at sleeping Lavi and Miranda made her control herself.

She put the plate on the small table and most jumped to immediately putting her arms around his neck with a sob. "Are you really here? Or is it just a dream?"

"No, am here," he assured her and stroked her back.

It took a moment until she pulled away but kept her hands on his chest.

"How long was I like this?" he asked feeling her hands through the light fabric of his hospital shirt.

"Three weeks… but it felt like longer," she said thoughtful.

"Yes, like a lifetime," he agreed whispering.

She gave him a look full of care and put her hands on his cheeks.

"I was so afraid that we will never talk again. That you will never open your eyes and look at me again smiled at me again."

He smiled and stroked her hair. "I'm not planning to leave you anytime soon."

She looked at him face full of fear but forced a smile. "Promise?" she asked him.

What could he say? Mana told him to never break a promise. To try as hard as possible to keep his word.

His hand slowly came to her neck and he leaned to her gently kissing her on the lips wishing he could describe every feeling, emotion, fears and hopes in the simple gesture. If it was possible, there was only one person who could understand him. And the person was her.

When they broke apart he pressed his forehead against hers and touched her bottom lip with his finger. "I promise."

She nodded and opened her eyes just as he looked at hers. "Good."

"Oh my God Allen!"

"Allen, you're okay?"

"Everyone, Allen woke up!"
