Sorry about the text all being together the first time I uploaded this. It was fine in word but I didn't check it after I posted it. Hope it's better now. And sorry for taking so long to update, all my inspiration for anything Charloe just left me for a while. But It's back now so hopefully I can post some more soon.

We had been traveling more than usual that day and my legs ached, which was unusual for me. We had stayed off the main roads to avoid being seen. We had actually carried on a conversation while we were traveling. Him telling me what it was like before the blackout. Joking around like a bunch of idiots. If someone decided to sneak up on us we wouldn't even notice. I looked up to the sky, it looked like rain.

"Hey Bass, we better find somewhere to stay the night." I told him.

"Nah, it's still a few hours away." He said glancing up at the sky.

We walked for a about another hour before I heard the boom of the thunder then rain started to pour down on us. He grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him as he sprinted to the nearest tree for cover. By the time we got there we were both soaking wet, and I was giggling like a lovestruck teenager.

"Oh Charlotte, it's okay, the rain will hold off." I mocked him.

"Oh, shut up." He smiled at me.

God did he always look this sexy when he had water dripping off every part of his body? He stared at me for a few seconds.

"What?" I asked, one eyebrow raised.

"God you're so beautiful."

Then suddenly his lips were on mine and he was pushing me up against the trunk of the tree. I hesitated for a moment before tangling my hands into his wet, curly brown hair. He slid his wet hands under my tank top before moving them down to my butt and picking me up. I wrapped my legs around him, my fingers still in his hair. There was a loud crack of thunder and I pulled away from him.

"We should get going." I murmured.

He nodded and set me down, his hands sliding up my sides as he did so, his eyes never leaving mine. "There should be a town not to far away from here, maybe half a mile."

I pulled down my tank top and broke into a light run towards the direction of the town.

We ran all the way there and ended up in the bar some how. I took a seat at the counter and ordered a couple of drinks while he went and found us a place to stay for the night. About ten minutes later Bass took a seat beside me and took a sip of the drink I ordered him. We started talking about how when we got back to Willoughby we probably wouldn't even be able to make eye contact without Miles or Mom suspecting something.

The hours passed by and I had lost count of how many drinks we had had. But I was still sober enough to note when I was being watched. Some guy in the corner with his hood pulled up over his head kept staring at me. Bass must have noticed as well because he leaned over and kissed me on the forehead.

"Lets get outta here." He said. He stood I followed suit. I felt unsteady on my feet and I cursed for having drank too much. I put my arm around his waist and he casually threw his arm around my shoulder. Using each other for support.

Together we hobbled back to the room we were to stay in for the night. I swung the door open. Two rooms, a bedroom and a bathroom, there was only one bed but I think we both had to much to drink to care. He walked me over to the bed and carefully laid me down before walking to the other side and slipping in beside me. I cuddled up next to him.

"Bass, will you tell me a story?" I asked, feeling like a little kid again.

"A story?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, something about you and Miles, something funny."

"Oh I have a good one. So there was this one time when Miles wanted me to meet him at the bar, and when I got there he was with this really pretty girl. And me being, well me, I thought that it would be hilarious to go embarrass the shit outta him. So I walked over to them and I said 'Hey Miles, hows the whole STD thing going?"

I giggled and Bass smiled recalling the memory, but his smile faded and he continued on.

"The girl looked pretty disgusted and got up and left. Miles was so pissed, he wouldn't talk to me for a week. That is after he broke my nose."

"He broke your nose? No wonder it's crooked." I joked with him.

"And that's not even the worst part! We got banned from that bar!"

I laughed at him.

"Hey it's not funny." He laughed as well, "That bar had the best whisky, and not to mention the women."

"Bass!" I smacked him on the shoulder. "What? They were pretty. A man can't help himself."

"Well you better be helping yourself, or else you're in trouble."

"Don't worry Charlotte," He pulled me close and whispered in my ear. "None of them were as pretty as you." He pulled away. "Wouldn't stand a chance against you in a fight either. I think I'll keep what I have." He said, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me into him.

"I'm yours?" I questioned him.

"Last time I checked." He said, tracing the 'M' that's branded into my arm.

"Yeah well, your men didn't really give me much of a choice in that decision.

"You don't like it?" "I don't like the idea of being forced to be just another one of General Monroe's soldiers."

"Well you're not just another one of his soldiers. You're the one who changed him. The one who made him into a man again. And for that he thanks you."

"Well she says you're welcome and she was happy to be of help."

"Why are we talking in third person?"

"Whats that?"

He chuckles, "Sometimes I forget just how young you are. I keep forgetting that you don't remember much about what it was like before the blackout."

"Are you saying I'm like a child?" I ask, turning to face him.

"No, I'm saying you act a lot older than you are which isn't such a bad thing."

"And you don't act as old as you are so... is it like the same thing?"

He cupped my face gently, running his thumb across my cheek. "You wouldn't be calling me an old man would you?"

"You said it, I didn't"

"Yeah I'll show you what this old man can do." He said smiling, removing my clothing piece by piece, all while placing kisses all along my body.
