Last time…
Natsu reacted right away at the missing scent of the third person. Lucy Hearthfilia. Natsu stood up, and glared at the two figures before him, bursting the table into shreds, fists flaming, and one word echoed through the guild, which made her blood freeze down degree.
"Where is Lucy?"
"I repeat my question… Where is Lucy?"
Silence echoed thorough the guildhall, every ones eyes falling in between the two parts, Natsu approached the two; both Gajeel and Levy could feel the killing intent coming from the salmon-haired male.
Levy gulped, she looked up, trying to muster all the courage together, and her voice spoke, barely audible for a normal mage.
"Lucy…she won't come back, she left."
Silence echoed once again, no words, and no movements made themselves known in the once lively guild named Fairy Tail. Every single member that knew the blond-haired woman, taking one-step back in shock, a squeeze on her shoulder by Gajeel, made her feel, slightly protected. Crickets of flames and burning wood echoed in the guildhall, the eyes of every member fell on the once cheerful salmon-haired male, scales surrounding his skin and anger spoken in his expression. The air seemed to take few degrees low, shadows covering his eyes, and dark surrounded him.
In an attempt to calm down most of the Fairy Tail members, nervously, Levy spoke.
"Lucy…she left, to travel over Fiore, in order to gain inspiration for her book."
For a moment, Natsu Eyes, and in the same time, Laxus own eyes, fell on the ground before them, a feeling of stab-like pain passing inside them.
Flames engulfing his body, hiding away his eyes behind the bright flames, hiding away the tears that threatened to fall from his eyes.
"Why? Why she left? Were we her family? Why had she left without even bothering to tell us good-bye?"
Levy closed her eyes. For others, the salmon-haired boy sounded like a child that lost his mother, and maybe, it was in truth this way.
A squeeze on her left shoulder made her look behind, to look at the raven-haired male behind her.
On the other side of the guildhall, Laxus felt a rage rise within and sorrow crashing over. That felt as if his hopes crushed away. He did not understand, why the blond-haired woman would have left, it was definitely not inspiration.
He was far older to be that idiot.
Rage took over, in attempt to understand who would have dared to be enough masochists to hurt her.
Levy's voice was the only thing that was echoed in the grim silence of the once, loudest guild in Fiore.
"Understand… Lu-Chan didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings…"
Tears found its way out of her eyes, unable to look at the image of the salmon-haired boy own hurting eyes, the steel heart of the iron dragon slayer did not resist the urge to pull her close to him, and hide away her face from the fairy tail members.
"But she did…"
Natsu whispered barely inaudible.
The silence echoed through the hall, if a pin had fallen, it would echo through.
No words came from the fire dragon slayer, a mixture of emotions he never felt before, a loss, in which the magnitude would have compared to the day he lost his father.
Natsu's voice echoed through hall, it was low, but audible, filled with hurt and pain, eyes clouded with unshed tears, as he spoke.
"She left, just like he did, without even bothering to say good-bye."
Erza lowered her gaze, she had never seen the fire-dragon slayer this hurt filled, his gaze fixed on the ground, and arm trembling, fist tightly held, ready to hit anything that was close to him.
His rage barely restrained by the inner emotions.
The voice of the Fairy Tail master echoed through the halls, making most of the members turn their head towards the elder figure as he spoke.
"Lucy hadn't leave without saying good-bye, she had left a letter to each of you, if she did it personally, and none of us would have let her go."
In his hands, a set of four letters, handling it to each of the Team Natsu members. Erza, Gray, Happy and Natsu took their letters, the latter, hesitantly, as fear took over the fire dragon slayer, for her words, would have sank deep within him as the memory of Lisannas death.
Erza unfolded her letter, and read it to herself.
'Dear Erza, I apologize to you for doing the cowards way out, and leaving a letter instead of saying it myself, but knowing you, and the others, you would have stopped me.'
Tears fell down from her eyes, like the rain of the autumn, cold and merciless; the brave swordswoman clutched the paper and thought. Heart wrenched by emptiness left by the loss of the sisterly figure.
'Of course I would have never let you go.'
She continued to read the next line.
'However, no worries! I would return one day! In addition, I want to wish you luck with Jellal! Moreover, don't try to deny! I've seen quite a lot of interesting scenes!'
A scarlet blush, that could have gave a run for her hair money, appeared on her cheeks, through tears, she smiled, imagining the crime sorciere member, continuing to read.
'I will miss you Erza, you are just like the older sister I never had, mature and protective, yet warm and loving. Good-bye!
PS: Take care of Natsu, knowing him, he is probably raging, and I wouldn't really recommend Grey to fight a raging Natsu, the fairy tail building would be destroyed. Again."
The eyes of the scarlet mage fell on the salmon haired mage; a genuine smile came to her lips, and she whispered.
"I will Lucy."
After few hesitant moments, Grey unfolds his own letter reading it with great attention.
'Dear Grey, I know you would've wanted me to stay, just like Erza, but I had to do this journey, it was important to me.
Also, I'd really recommend opening your eyes; Juvia is head over heels in love with you…although looks like an obsession of some sort…'
He trailed of from his reading to look at the water mage, sweat dropping, he thought.
'That's not love, that's not obsession, that's a hype, although, if that bastard gets his hands on her…..I'm going to freeze his whole being alongside with his guild.'
He shook his head and continued to read.
'…Although, you do love her too, otherwise you would turn your head to her now, right?"
His head backed away few centimeters, to stare in shock at the paper, as he thought to himself.
'How the hell she knew?'
He shook his head again, and continued to read.
'Moreover, you are being jealous every time your rival gets to make a move on her. Therefore, here is factor two.'
He closed his eyes, and eyebrow twitched in irritation as he said to no one in particular.
"I am not jealous, at all."
He continued to read the letter,
'…By the way, do something about your stripping habit, sure Juvia enjoys the view, but that also threatens for the guild to be drowned. Again.
PS: Stop fighting with Natsu.
Good-bye.'
His eyes rose to look at his childhood rival, sadness decorated his features, as he whispered to himself.
"The way he is now, I doubt he would even try."
Sniffing, the Blue exceed unfolded his letter, already missing the female celestial spirit. As he read.
'Dear Happy, knowing you right now, you are most probably crying, which believe me tears my heart to do that so. However, don't be sad, I will be back one day, and I promise to take you to fishing along with Natsu! Smile up! Your name is Happy right? Take care of Natsu for me. pretty please? I know he is probably angry with me, and I am sorry that I took out the coward's way out after what fairy tail had done for me. PS: Take also care of Charle.
Good-Bye.'
The blue cat raised his letter, and Shouted through tears.
"Aye!"
Staring at his letter for a long while, Natsu had a burning sensation of tears. However none fell. Slowly unfolding it and reading the letters carefully, not to miss any word.
'Dear Natsu, first of all, I am sorry, I know I made you angry, and most probably hurt your feelings, I hadn't thought that it would have turned out this way.'
The flame mage stopped to think, 'I hadn't thought that it would have turned out this way? What to turn out?' he continued reading his letter.
'I want also to thank you for bringing me to fairy tail, it had been my dream, and turned out to be the family, warmer than I ever had, a home I would have wished to have.
I was like an orphan that you rescued and brought to a warm place, and I am grateful for that. Stay strong! I know that one day you will meet Igneel!
Don't change, be yourself, protect your nakama as you always did.
PS: Don't fight with Grey, and honestly stop sneaking in my apartment. Moreover, stop-destroying towns, one-day master will die out of the paper work he keeps receiving.
Love, Lucy Hearthfilia, Good-bye Natsu!'
The only difference now, was that Natsu read his letter aloud, every member of fairy tail, had tears falling down his cheeks.
Only Laxus starred in confusion and lost in thought, a sense of déjà-vu took him, but he could not fathom as to why.
Natsu then whispered aloud.
"Luce, why it sounds like you are never coming back?"
A sound of a breaking table echoed through, and for once, it was none of the Team Natsu, heads turned where Laxus once sat, only dust of the table left. The lightning dragon vanished away.
Mira Jane looked towards the Scarlet-haired mage, speaking softly.
"Do you think that's because of…"
Erza shook her head, trailing the demon-take over mage, speaking.
"I do not think so, I have heard that it had been for a while, perhaps something happened on a mission."
Mira Jane sighed, shaking her head, and gaze falling on the table that was destroyed, speaking once again.
"I must agree, Freed had told me the same, something happened on the mission, he did several mistakes, and perhaps it is because of his perfection regarding missions."
The Sword mage only nodded in agreement.
Somewhere far away, deep in the forest.
As the rain began to pour, Juvia magic began to loose control, as her sadness took over the guild.
Perhaps they were not in the best terms, but one thing was for sure, she was one that also greets her warmly to the guild.
A loud thud was heard, The foot of the Lightning dragon slayer landed on the damp grass, staring out in the field, eyes empty of any emotions that surveyed within me.
Instantly, the sky shone, of the blinding lightning that mixed with the painful dark clouds.
The pain of the cutting lightning of the sky, reflecting his heart and soul, inside tearing every piece of the once lost part.
His fist connected with the nearby tree, lightning falling close to him, but never touching him.
It was only one word to describe his surroundings and his inner world.
Chaos.
Panting, he fell on his knees, the rain soaking his whole being, hair sticking to his face, sadness washed over.
As anger vanished away, only the cold emotions left, tearing his heart apart.
He had realized, it was not a simple crush, and she was not an easy prey.
He truly loved her, and questions surveyed, why had she left?
'I hadn't thought that the things would've turned out this way.' It echoed in his mind. Something happened. he knew that.
Her sadness, her scent of tears, tore him from within.
His head rose to stare at the darkened skies, as if searching for an answer in them.
Closing his eyes, he just realized how the weather reflected his emotions from within.
Empty, lonely, sad, and angry,
Emptiness that surveyed before, seemed stronger now, he had realized. He needed her.
Loneliness and the pairing emotion of fear that accompanied it. Made him afraid of her death, or of remaining alone in the world.
He felt selfish, for a reason that he could not fathom, and guilt seemed to eat him inside out.
The burning flame of his love for the celestial mage, seemed to mock him and back fire, then he lived an illusion, and now, a nightmare.
The warm flame that warmed his heart, felt like a thousands years in hell, burning deep within him.
Aching and suffocating, as if he was bleeding and cut.
However, there was no bleeding mark, no scar, and no bruise.
It was destroying him from within.
His heart bleed, and it did not seem to stop, he had blamed himself for not comforting the blond woman.
Maybe if he did, she would have been there, and maybe she would have fallen in love with him.
Maybe if he did, they would've been happy together now, cuddling and looking forward to the light of the next day.
An image of how he would've confessed came to him, tearing another piece inside him.
In a restaurant, holding her hand caged in his. Would have said how much he loved her.
Tears rolled down his eyes, and orange eyes starred down on the ground, reflecting the emotions he felt within.
Hurt, broken and dead.
He stared to the skies, and shouted out.
"I'll wait for you no matter what! Hear me Luce!"
Author note; ok, here's the chapters I managed to rewrite, chapter seven will be rewritten soon, next Sunday.
Hope there is not that lame excuse of a missing word tendency now, since it's a pc doc file.
Hope the grammar is not as bad as it was.
By the way, people, I release the five chapters of fallen angels I've written long ago, just out of sheer boredom. My priority gets on rewriting those two stories, because honestly. They are absolutely lame regarding grammar.
