Baby-sitting

"We're so grateful for this Sakura-san!" Hinata said for the umpteenth time, heading for the door while trying to keep her eyes on her son, currently held in Sakura's arms.

"Not at all, it's our pleasure. Just go out and have a good time. Don't worry about a thing," Sakura assured her friend, ushering her and Naruto out the door, while Sasuke hovered behind her. She could sense his irritation but ignored it.

"Thanks Sakura-chan!" Naruto called, before adding, "Give your Uncle Sasuke hell, Minato!" Sakura could only chuckle as little Minato giggled in response, and Sasuke scowled.

And then they were alone. Sakura, Sasuke and little Minato. Sasuke's scowl deepened as Sakura cooed over Naruto and Hinata's child. He hadn't wanted any involvement in baby-sitting at all but had been volunteered against his will. However he wouldn't say anything as long as Sakura took care of it all.

With this plan in place, everything was going fine until an hour or so had passed. "Oh," Sakura commented, holding Minato, "Someone needs their nappy changed! Sasuke, come and help." When Sasuke merely raised an eyebrow, Sakura's eyes narrowed dangerously. "We're doing this together, Sasuke," she hissed, with enough suppressed rage in her voice that Sasuke didn't argue, and followed her to the bathroom.

Sakura placed Minato on the changing mat and began gathering the wipes, creams, nappy bags and fresh nappies. "Sasuke, take off his nappy for me while I sort this out," she called. Sasuke glared at her back, and then down at the baby who was grinning back mischievously.

Sasuke removed the nappy and Sakura held a bag out ready for it. It was as Sasuke turned back to him that Minato made eye contact and took aim. Sakura watched with a mix of amusement and horror as Sasuke jerked away from Minato, head and hair dripping. Sakura glanced down at Minato as Naruto's earlier words rang in her mind, but his lip wobbled innocently and she was won over once again. She turned back in time to see Sasuke stalking out of the bathroom, only just catching his grumble of "We are never baby-sitting again!" She innocently wondered if Sasuke was still keen on the idea of restoring his clan…
