A Future Past Chap: 6

Normal POV:

"The future?" Mira and Lucy echoed in disbelief. Nashi nodded silently.

"How?" Lucy asked. As far as she knew, the only way to travel back in time was using Eclipse which had been destroyed. Nashi just shook her head and shrugged.

"I'm not sure how, all I know it that is the most likely reason. Think about it, if I was from the past, then that means there had been vicious war in Magnolia, and if I am from the present, why does no one recognize me?" she reasoned, the last part of her explanation she left out was still ringing in her mind. Besides, if I was from the present, Magnolia would be shes and everyone would be dead...

"Maybe you could check the guild library." Mira suggested. Lucy's face lit up slightly.

"That's a great idea, Mira! There might be book on or of time spells." Lucy said, thinking of the book, Memory Days.

Nashi's POV:

The guild's library was full of giant bookcases stuffed with books and other stuff. After entering the room, Lucy suggested that we browse the rows of bookcases to see what we could find. I was currently looking down a row when a book caught my attention. It wasn't about anything to do with time magic or otherwise, but rather celestial spirits. Staring at the book, I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me.

*Flashback*

"Mama, mama!" I shouted in delight. " Come and look at what I found!" a second later, Lucy appeared from around the corner.

"What is it Nashi?" She asked. I lifted the book up to show her.

"It's a book about celestial spirits! Can we read it?" I looked up at her hopefully. She smiled.

"Of course, Nashi." Lucy said. After flipping through a few pages, we came across a interesting entry. It was about Draco, the dragon spirit.

"Look, mama! There's a dragon spirit," I looked up at her, beaming. "Wouldn't it be cool to have that key?" Just as I said it, the door opened to reveal Natsu standing there. I spun around. "PAPA! YOU'RE BACK!" I ran over to him, and he picked me up.

"Hey there, Nashi." He said, nuzzling the side of my face. Luce came up and gave him a kiss. Natsu grinned "Hey, Luce." She giggled softly.

"Welcome home, Natsu. How was the mission?" She asked.

"Great!" He smiled. "I only destroyed three buildings this time."

"Three!?" Lucy shrieked. Natsu laughed.

"Relax, I was only joking." Lucy rolled her eyes at him, but smiled anyway.

"Come on, let's go home." She said, walking out of the library. I looked up at Natsu.

"Papa, guess what! There's a celestial spirit that's a dragon!" I said excitedly.

"Cool, you can tell me all about when we get home, okay Nashi?" He said with a smile.

"Okay!"

*End Flashback*

"Nashi?" Lucy appeared around the corner of the aisle. "Oh my gosh, you're crying, are you okay? Did you get hurt?" I lifted a hand to my face, and sure enough, it came back damp. I looked down at my feet to avoid Lucy's eyes.

"Lucy," I said, my voice soft. "I don't think it is necessary to do any research regarding if I came from the future or the past."

"What, why?" She asked. "Do you not want to know, it might help with your mem-"

"No, that's not it." I cut her off. "I know now, that I come from the future."

"Did you remember something?" I nodded.

"Yeah, something like that." I grabbed Lucy's wrist and stood. "Come on, we have no reason to be here anymore." I started walking towards the door, only to stop half way. "Hey Lucy, do you like Natsu?"

"What do you mean? Of course I like him, he's my best friend after all." She replied. I shook my head.

"No I mean, do you love him?" I asked again. Lucy blushed.

"Um, yeah." She answered softly.

Natsu's POV:

My hand was on the library door's handle, when I heard Nashi ask her question.

"Hey Lucy, do you like Natsu?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" I heard Lucy say, "Of course I like him, he's my best friend."

"No, I mean, do you love him?" Nashi asked again. Lucy was silent for a moment before she answered.

"Um, yeah." Her voice a bit timid.

I felt my face heat up.

"Really?" Nasi said. Lucy was silent. Nashi hummed slightly before contiueing. "You know what? I think Natsu loves you too." My blush intesified.

"Am I that transparent?" I asked allowed to no one, but got an answer any way.

"Yes, you are." I jumped and saw Nashi standing in front of me.

"We need to get you a bell." I said, slightly exasperated. Nashi shrugged.

"I know you heard that conversation." She said quietly, her brown eyes piercing. "Was my assumption correct? Do you love Lucy?" I stared at the young girl. Her gaze softened. "Never mind, you don't have to answer that. Just forget that I even asked. By the way, Lucy's still in the library if you want go talk to her." With that, Nashi left silently. I looked back at the door before I decided to open it. When I did, Lucy was sitting at one of the tables with her head in her hands.

"Hey, Luce." I said, causing the blond to jump.

"Oh, hi Natsu, you kinda surprised me." She said.

"What were you thinking about?" I asked. "Looked pretty intense." She looked at the table before looking back up at me.

"Natsu," She started. "Do you think it's possible that Nashi is from the future?

"Anything is possible, Lucy. I mean the future Lucy came from the future." She sighed.

"Yes, but that was with Eclipse Gate, which was destroyed." She said. "But what if Nashi was connected to our future somehow?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Never mind, just forget I asked." Lucy replied. I hated when Lucy was like this, mainly because it means I 'm not going to be getting any information out of her.

"Whatever, I don't think we should keep Nashi waiting."

"Yeah."

We exited the library and into the guild's main hall.

Normal POV:

Mira was watching as Natsu and Lucy entered the main hall. She couldn't help but think about what a cute couple they would make. And that's something clicked in her head. She looked at Nashi with her big brown eyes and Light pink hair with blonde highlights, the back at Nastu and Lucy.

"Wait a moment..." She said. "Brown eyes, pink and blond hair..." Her eyes widened with realization. She squealed with excitement, causing a few people to glance in her direction. Mira too elated to care though, one of her ships was going to come true and Nashi was solid proof of it.

Sorry everyone, I've been really busy with school and stuff so I'm not going to be able to give you the double upload I promised to you're going to have to wait until I've got it typed up and every thing, okay? Though I can promise you that I won't make you wait, what 4 months this time? The next chapter should be out by the end of the week if not then sometime during the weekend.
