Chapter 6

Allison woke up around 10. She could hear the music of the Casket Girls festival outside of the compound. She got changed in long sleeve white lace romper and made her way down to the kitchen in hopes of finding some coffee and something to eat. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, Allison assumed it was because of the pregnant werewolf living in the compound.

Hayley walked in the kitchen shortly after Allison and started making herself a bowl of cereal, they made small talk while Allison made herself a cup of coffee. A little while later Hayley made her way back up to her room, she had wanted to try on a costume for the casket girls' festivities.

Soon after Hayley left, Klaus came storming in to the kitchen. His eyes locked on Allison and a harsh glare set on his face. "Where is she?" Shit.

Allison tried to keep an unfazed look on her face but it was a failed effort. "What are you talking about?"

"Where is Davina." Klaus clarified narrowing his eyes at her intimidatingly, emphasizing each word more and more as he was taking steps towards her. He knew she was playing dumb; he didn't have to hold supernatural abilities to be able to tell. Allison backed up in to the wall, her heart raced knowing that there was no where else to go. "I will not ask again."

"I don't know Klaus." Allison said, but it even sounded like a lie to herself. She was so nervous she couldn't think straight. She never had to lie to someone this intimidating before, but she had to keep Klaus off of the young witch's tracks, she just didn't exactly know how to do it.

"Even if I could not hear your heart beat, I would know that you are lying." Double shit. When Allison didn't say anything he pulled out his phone, after a couple seconds he said in to it, "It seems our little bird has flown the coop. You need to get over here. Now." With that, Klaus hung up the phone.

"Come on love." Klaus grabbed her arm roughly, showing her just how pissed off he was. He almost felt bad when she let out a small whimper but he was too focused on his current task of finding the little witch to act on any guilt he may have felt. He led them to one of his studies and told her not to say a word.

About 10 minutes later, Marcel walked in to the study. He looked at Klaus then at the hard grip he had on Allison. "What's going on Klaus?" Marcel asked moving towards him.

Allison tried to walk over to him, but Klaus just pulled her back causing her to glare at the hybrid. Marcel tensed gauging his actions and readying himself to step in if he gave any indication he was going to seriously hurt Allison.

"You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to notice the obvious. Our witch has escaped." Klaus gestured around the room.

"She wouldn't just leave." Marcel's brows furrowed, not knowing that that's exactly what she did. "She knows the witches want her back." Allison scoffed at this, making Klaus shoot her a curious look.

Before he had time to question the human, Elijah walked through the door. "Her violin is missing." Allison hadn't seen Elijah in so long, at least it felt like a long time. She couldn't help but get caught up in how incredibly handsome he looked every single time she saw him. The way his suit was tailored perfectly for his body, and she couldn't let herself get started on his attractive he was. His jaw line, his smile, his eyes. "She may have left of her own free will."

"What did you say to her? In the attic. She lied to my face to stay up there because she thought you could help her control her magic. How do we know you didn't take her?" Marcel accused walking up and getting in Elijah's face. Elijah's composure never seemed to falter even when met with Marcel's anger fueled glare.

"I have no idea where Davina is or why she ran away… Can I suggest you take a step back?" Elijah said. Though the tone of his voice said that he wasn't suggesting. He kept his voice normal yet it held power that made him undeniably more attractive to Allison. Marcel complied and Elijah turned back to Klaus. "I have no desire to see any harm come to that child. She's suffered enough with this harvest ritual nonsense." Elijah finished bringing Marcel's attention back to him.

"That child to whom you refer to so affectionately is the strongest witch in New Orleans." Klaus argued. "If she's fled, what's to stop her from destroying us? In fact, destroying all we've worked for. Now if she's not a friend of this family then she is an enemy." With his attention focused on his brother, Elijah only then noticed the hold his brother had on Allison, and a tight one from what he could tell. For some reason a hot anger flashed through him for his brother, he brushed it off as much as he could and continued to focus on their task at hand.

"She is a friend Klaus." Marcel said, fearing that Klaus would project his anger on to Davina then ask questions later.

"Well let's hope so. This little witch certainly wouldn't want to end up on the wrong side of me." Klaus growled tightening his grip on Allison to prove his point. She winced at the increased pressure and she was sure there would be a lovely bruise to remind her just how pissed Klaus was.

"Maybe she left because you all lied to her." Allison hissed under her breath angrily before she remembered that everyone in the room could hear her perfectly. All three men turned to look at her.

"What do you mean Allie? What do you know?" Marcel said. Allison wanted to think that she could trust Marcel, but after what he did to Davina she didn't think Marcel deserved anyone's trust.

When Allison didn't say anything Klaus dropped his grip on her arm and grabbed her by the throat and pushing her up against the wall behind him. Allison could see Marcel step towards Klaus, even Elijah shifted slightly towards them. "Come on love, tell us what you know."

Allison tried to tell him to let her go, but he was cutting off her air flow so no words came out. "Klaus, she can't talk if she can't breathe." Marcel tried to reason with him.

"Maybe she just needs a little incentive to talk." Klaus said tightening his grip on her neck. Allison could feel her lungs burning from lack of air. Her head was pounding she knew that she would pass out soon if she didn't get air.

"Enough Niklaus. Let the girl go." Elijah said with an era of authority radiating off of him. Allison shot him a grateful look, even though her eye lids were slowly closing. After a couple more seconds Klaus released Allison and she fell to the ground coughing as she tried to get air back in to her lungs.

Marcel sped over to her, helped her up and sat her in one of the many chairs in the study. "Come on A. What did Davina tell you?" Marcel asked desperately. He didn't want Klaus to hurt her anymore than he already did.

"She knows Agnes is dead. She knows you were just keeping her so you could have access to an all powerful witch whenever you wanted. She knows that you all are using her. So she left and I don't blame her." Allison said once she finally got her voice back. She heard Elijah and Marcel sigh.

Klaus narrowed his eyes at her stalked up in front of her. "Where is she?" He said in a deadly cold tone.

Allison just glared at him, "I don't know."

"Every single person in this room knows that you're lying Allie." Klaus said. Allison just shrugged and crossed her arms. "Luckily, I know how to get her back." Klaus then stalked out of the room telling Marcel to follow his lead.

Marcel was about to follow Klaus when Elijah stopped him, "You know how Niklaus operates, if he perceives a threat, it may not end well for Davina." Elijah warned.

"I'm not going to let anyone lay a finger on her." Marcel said.

"Nor will I." Elijah said. This confused Allison, she knew that Marcel cared about Davina, but she didn't think Elijah had any real ties with her. It was heartwarming that he would try and protect her too. With that, Marcel walked out of the room after Klaus, leaving Elijah with Allison.

"I apologize for my brother's behavior." Elijah said sitting in the chair across from Allison.

"Do you do that a lot?" Allison asked, something telling her that that was something that Elijah was familiar doing.

Elijah gave her a confused look, "What?"

"Apologize for your brother." Allison clarified sending him a small smile.

Elijah smirked at this, "More than you know." He responded looking over at her.

"Why'd you help me in the cemetery?" Allison asked before her mind could think about what she was saying. She was curious as to why he would do such a selfless act for her. He had been around for a thousand years, surely he doesn't help every single person he comes across. "It doesn't seem like something an original vampire would do."

"No I suppose it doesn't." Elijah mused studying her face trying to gauge where her mind was. He could help but notice how incredibly beautiful she was.

"So why then?" Allison pressed, making Elijah's eye snap back to her. He was amused where she was taking this.

"You interested me." He responded simply, giving her a playful smile.

Allison was confused by this. He must have meet thousands of people over the years, how could one human interest him?

"I'm not that interesting." Allison said with a slight eye roll.

"I disagree." Elijah stated simply, not understanding how she couldn't see just how incredible she was. "I've seen how you act around my brother, even though you are afraid of him, you still stand up to him and don't give in. I admire that stubbornness. I haven't met many people that Niklaus allows to do that." Allison didn't think Klaus acted any differently around her than he did others, he was obviously violent with her, but she noticed he never did anything too major. He had even apologized after he broke her finger and made sure she was all right.

"Does he normally apologize?" Allison asked out of curiosity. It didn't seem like something he normally did and she figured if anyone were to know Klaus the best, it would be his brother.

"No, I can't remember the last time he made an apology to me or even Rebekah. Why do you ask?" Elijah responded.

"He broke my finger once, to get to Marcel, and he apologized after." Allison explained as Elijah's eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"Interesting." Elijah saw this as affirmation that his brother could show compassion. That there was some hope in him, and just like that, Elijah believed that his humanity could be restored. "So I hear you are living in the compound, correct?" He asked changing the topic. Allison just nodded. "I hope the accommodations suit you."

"They exceed anything that I could have asked for. Though depending on how this whole finding Davina thing works out I may be leaving." Allison said.

"May I ask why?" He couldn't help but notice the tick in his heart when she spoke of leaving, but he chose not to read too much in to it.

"I only came here because Davina wouldn't come willingly if she didn't have a friend staying with her, someone she trusted. I'm sure Klaus will kick me out if Davina gets away." Allison explained.

"Well, you are always welcome here, no matter what my brother says." Elijah said genuinely. She smiled at him gratefully.

"You know Davina deserves to have a choice in whether she wants to stay or not. She's just a kid, she should get to live her life before reality slaps her in the face." Allison thought about where she was at in her life at the age of sixteen, she couldn't have imagined being thrown in the middle of a witch war.

"The witches are still looking for her, even with their elders gone, they still want to complete the harvest. She won't be safe anywhere else." Elijah stressed, hoping it would get the young human to open up to him regarding her friend.

Allison's eyes widened. "What? Why does no one ever tell me these things. We need to find her before the witches do." Allison pulled out her phone and tried calling Cami but there was no answer. "Dammit." Allison muttered to herself.

"Where did Davina go when she left?" Elijah pressed.

"I told them they could hide out at my apartment with Cami last night. I don't know where they went after." Allison said guiltily, feeling bad that she may have unknowingly allowed Davina to walk in to a danger she wasn't ready for.

"It's okay Allison, we'll find her." Elijah said reassuringly.

"I want to help." Allison said standing up quickly. She suddenly got dizzy, having stood up too fast. The whole oxygen depravation thing may not have passed entirely either. Elijah sped over to help steady her. "Thanks." She said gratefully.

"I don't think you would be in the best condition to help." Elijah suggested.

"Well maybe if your brother hadn't man handled me I would be fine." Allison said rubbing her neck flinching as she touched bruising skin.

Elijah started rolling up his sleeve when she noticed her flinch. "Here, let my blood heal you, an apology for my brother's man handing." Allison just looked at him, not really knowing what to say. She just watched him bite in to his wrist and hold it out to her. Allison stepped closer to Elijah and pulled his wrist to her mouth. Allison expected to taste the hard coppery blood that she had when she drank from Marcel, but this was different. His blood was sweet, it actually tasted good. Allison knew she should be mortified that she found it unrepulsive but those thoughts weren't the ones coming to the front of her mind. Allison moaned in to his wrist and pulled it closer before she could stop herself. A couple seconds later, she detached herself from Elijah's arm. His face held an unreadable expression that Allison couldn't decipher. Elijah's hand reached up to her face and brushed a drop of blood from the corner of her mouth. He was still looking at her with an intense gaze.

Allison's heart was beating in her chest. They were so close to each other. She wanted nothing more than to close the distance and kiss him. Wanted to feel what his lips felt like against hers. It was all she could think about in that moment.

They were broken out of their trance by Elijah's phone ringing, their eyes never left each others as he answered the phone. A couple seconds later Allison heard Elijah say into the phone, "We'll be right there." He hung up the phone after that. "Let's go find Davina." Elijah said to her breaking up the moment they were having. Allison just nodded, trying to get the more R-rated thoughts out of her head, and followed Elijah out of the compound out on to the streets filled with people celebrating the festival.

They were walking for a couple minutes before they saw Marcel and quickly approached him. "Any luck?" Elijah asked Marcel.

"No Kieran's going to call me if he hears anything." Marcel responded.

"She might be with Camille." Elijah said.

"How do you know?" Marcel asked. Elijah just looked over at Allison. Marcel got the answer. "Why didn't you just tell me A?"

"You were using her; she doesn't deserve that." Allison responded.

"I was protecting her from the witches." Marcel defended.

"By keeping her locked up like a prisoner. No wonder she got away when she did. But I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't know the witches were still after her." Allison apologized looking down at the ground.

They were interrupted by Klaus approaching them. "Well, don't you three look comfy." He said with a smirk. Allison just glared at him, which made his smirk grow.

"Hardly, I was just telling Elijah how we're wasting time." Marcel said.

"You don't like festivals?" Klaus asked with a smile.

"I don't see why not. Who doesn't love a street fair?" Rebekah said approaching the group. Allison didn't know that she was back in town, however she was happy to see the blonde vampire.

"Come to help us find our stray?" Klaus asked her.

"We can't let your secret weapon get in the wrong hands can we?" Rebekah responded with a smile.

"For the record, we're moments away from retrieving her." Klaus said.

"I recognize that tone of voice Niklaus, clearly you have some diabolical plan. What is it?" Elijah asked turning to his brother. Klaus didn't respond, he just walked away over to a boy in the festival, probably about Davina's age. He then looked like he was compelling the boy. He pulled out his phone and made a phone call.

"Can someone with super hearing please inform me what he is doing." Allison said annoyed that she didn't know what was going on.

"Klaus seems to think that compelling a friend of Davina's and threatening him will draw her out." Elijah explained to her. She shot him a thankful look. Klaus finished his call and made his way over with the boy trailing behind him.

"We are heading back to the compound, enough of this scowering the streets. Marcel spread the word to your men." He just nodded and took off. Allison notice Rebekah walk away too, and she was left standing with Elijah and Klaus.

They made their way back to the compound and when they got back, Klaus compelled Timothy to climb on top of a wooden post sticking out of the wall and to play his violin.

"Are the theatrics really necessary Niklaus. Its gives the situation an ominous feel." Elijah said.

"Yes it does. Timothy!" Klaus called, "Play something a little more upbeat." He soon complied and changed the song.

"Do you really have to do that to him?" Allison asked.

"Why yes love I do." Klaus responded barely sparing her a glance.

"How do you know Davina will come?" Elijah asked his brother.

"You've clearly forgotten the allure of teenage infatuation. Trust me she'll come." Klaus stated with confidence. Marcel then walked in to the compound. "Took you long enough to spread the word." Klaus scolded Marcel.

"Have you met his night walkers, not a particularly bright bunch." Elijah commented.

"All that matters is that I got it covered." Marcel assured the brothers. "When Davina gets here, you two need to let me do the talking."

"Well, I'm sure you'll have your chance." Klaus said then walked past Marcel, "Hello love." He stated when Davina walked in. "Silence is golden Timothy, thank you." Klaus commanded Timothy to stop playing.

"Davina?" Timothy shot her a confused look.

"You got me here now let him down." Davina turned to Klaus.

"Now, we have to have a little chat first about you returning to the fold." Klaus said.

Marcel then approached Klaus, "What did I say Klaus, I got this." He then shifted his gaze towards Davina, "What's going on D? What happened? Why'd you run? Talk to me, hey I can make it right."

"How? By threatening my friend." Davina exclaimed.

"Actually that was my idea." Klaus said. "I've been known to go too far to make a point, but I do always get results."

Davina smiled at him and said, "You pretend to be so confident. But I know the truth. You're afraid, now everyone can see what you really are, an animal." Davina held up her hand and Klaus started screaming, he fell to his knees and hunched over in pain. Elijah and Marcel made a move to step towards Davina and help Klaus; but she put her other hand up and forced them to the ground with her magic. Allison couldn't believe what she was seeing. Everyone had said that Davina was a powerful witch, but it takes incredible amounts of power to take down two originals.

Davina then continued taunting Klaus, forcing him to change in to a hybrid and causing him pain. Allison slightly felt bad for Klaus, that something so horrible was being done to him. Davina suddenly broke his neck and approached Elijah.

"Davina, you don't have to do this." Elijah pleaded.

"You. You looked me in the eyes and lied to my face, pretended that you wanted to help me. You call yourself noble, but you're a killer just like your brother, for 1000 years you fed on innocent blood, why don't you choke on it?" Davina said to Elijah. He all of a sudden started coughing up blood before eventually becoming unconscious. "And you," Davina said approaching Marcel. "I trusted you, I loved you, but you were just using me to stay in power."

"You're wrong." Marcel said.

"When you lost to Klaus, you handed me over like some trophy. Maybe I should boil you in bronze." Davina threatened.

"I care; I took you in like you were my own blood." Marcel pleaded. It looked like he was getting through to Davina, when suddenly a stake was driven through him knocking him unconscious along with the original brothers. Allison saw Rebekah holding the stake.

"Come on now love, don't tell me you were falling for that." Rebekah said to Davina. "Isn't time for us girls to have a chat?" Rebekah looked over at Allison, who was standing near one of banisters away from Davina, and gestured her over to them. "This is impressive." Rebekah told Davina admiring what she did to Elijah, Klaus and Marcel. "And well deserved in my opinion. Now before you turn on me, I have a surprise for you."

Josh then walked through the door of the compound. Rebekah then flashed over to him and grabbed him by the throat. Allison faintly heard Josh ask Rebekah what she was doing.

"Now if I were Klaus, I would take his head off his neck and feed it to the nightwalkers, and that would be the end of poor Joshua." Rebekah then released Josh. "But hurting people is such a boyish thing to do. Like how Klaus compelled your fiddler on the roof." Rebekah said looking up at Timothy who was still on the beam looking scared out of his mind. "And while I am many things, I am certainly not my brother. Timothy, you can come down now, no one is going to hurt you." She finished.

"He told me I couldn't climb down." Timothy said.

"Well then don't climb, jump, am I the only smart one in this room?" Rebekah said. Timothy then jumped off the wooden beam and Rebekah flashed over to catch him. "There, safe and sound."

Davina came up and hugged Timothy, he started asking questions and she just hugged him promising to explain everything.

They then looked at Rebekah and Davina said, "Why are you doing this?"

"It seems like you're the one holding all the cards, that you don't know who to trust. I've just proven that you can trust me." Rebekah responded. "Now come, I want to show you something." She glanced back when Davina didn't follow, "Your friends can come too."

Josh and Timothy followed Rebekah, but Allison stayed put. Davina shot her a confused glance. "I should probably stay, make sure they aren't too mad at you. What you did was pretty badass D." Allison explained.

Davina smiled at her friend and followed Rebekah out of the compound. Allison walked over to one of the many bars in this place and poured herself a glass of whiskey. She sat down in one of the chairs and waited for the vampires to wake up. About a half hour, and a couple glasses of whiskey later, Allison was feeling the affects of the alcohol, she was also getting incredibly bored.

Klaus's body was the first to start moving. He sat up and looked around the room at Marcel and Elijah. His eyes then landed on Allison nursing a glass of his whiskey.

"What happened?" Klaus asked as he approached Allison. He took the glass out of her hand and downed the contents.

Allison glared at him and said, "Davina kicked your ass, and get your own booze."

"I believe this is mine love." Klaus responded.

Elijah suddenly started waking up. He saw Klaus and Allison standing and made his way over to them. He had blood covering his face and the front of his suit. Was it wrong for Allison to still find him attractive. She pushed these thoughts away and focused on the situation at hand.

"Well, that was rather interesting." Elijah said.

"Yeah, you both just got your asses kicked by a teenage girl." Allison said with a laugh. "I thought originals were supposed to be all mighty and undefeatable." Klaus chose to simply glare at her, Allison smiled in return.

Marcel then started to stir and Elijah approached him, offering a hand to help him up.

"Well isn't this monumentally awkward." Elijah said. Elijah helped Marcel get to his feet.

Klaus pulled out his phone and said, "Rebekah where are you?" Allison couldn't hear the other side of the phone call which annoyed her greatly. "Well I tried to talk to her out of respect for Marcel but she made it quiet clear that she is not our friend, my apologies if you thought she was yours." Allison assumed they were talking about Davina. "No it wouldn't, you see the poison I compelled Timothy to feed her is quiet potent." Upon hearing this Marcel became angry and stalked towards Klaus, only to be pulled back by Elijah. "Its just a matter of time for her. There is no dealing with those who threaten us. Davina sealed her fate when she went against me, this was her choice." Klaus said in to the phone, then hung it up.

Allison yelled over at Klaus, "What the hell? You're killing her? She's a kid Klaus."

"She's a threat." Klaus defended. "One that I saw fit to eliminate." Elijah, Marcel and Allison just looked at him. "Oh come on, the stench of your judgment is overwhelming. Need I remind you the Davina just bested the lot of us. I did what had to be done." He then stepped towards Elijah, "Don't worry Elijah, I remain as redeemable as ever."

"So you compelled that boy to poison Davina, without consulting Marcel or I?" Elijah questioned. Klaus simply shrugged.

"You know the worst part is, you're so predictable, I had to make an alliance with your brother who I don't even like." Klaus looked at Marcel trying to decipher what he had just said. Allison stood next to Marcel taking everything in.

"Judging by your expression, I assume you have something to share."

"Damn straight I do, I got a call from Kieran earlier, right after Sabine almost got her hand on Davina herself. I got a spell, to protect Davina."

"So while you were away allegedly checking on your night walkers, you were instead colluding with a witch." Klaus accused.

"I figured, I'd need a fail safe just in case, as Elijah predicted, you started acting like you." Marcel finished explaining.

"Except now you've involved the witches, who last time I checked, were enemies of us all, to everything we have, and to our family." Klaus continued.

Elijah finally decided to step in, "Davina is Marcel's family, or did that somehow slip your mind as you tried to take her life." Klaus didn't know what to say to that. "You will call Rebekah; you will tell her that Davina will recover. I do wish the same could be said for that boy." Elijah finished.

Allison had almost forgotten about Timothy; he didn't deserve to die. He got dragged in to the middle of vampire business and now he was going to die. Allison thought back to something that Marcel said, that when humans get mixed up with vampires, they don't necessarily make it out alive. This thought scared Allison.

Klaus then walked away presumably to make the call to Rebekah. Allison walked closer to Marcel and touched his arm trying to comfort him, but he pulled away.

"I'm sorry for what happened Marcel. Davina didn't deserve that." She said, doing what she could to make him feel better. He just sighed shook his head and walked out of the main area towards another room. Allison was sad that she couldn't help him, but he needed to deal with and process things himself.

"Is he really going to die?" Allison asked Elijah, as he was the only one left in the room. He simply nodded. "But he had nothing to do with any of this, that's not fair, he should still be able to live a normal life, and instead Klaus killed him, a kid, with a long life ahead of him, barely 18, all because Klaus, who has had 1000 years to live, was scared of a witch. A witch who in all honesty, wouldn't have wanted to kill him if he didn't do all the terrible things he had to her." Allison finished her rant. She was upset, angry that someone had to die. It wasn't until she stopped talking that she noticed a few tears had escaped from her eyes and were now sliding down her cheeks. She quickly and angrily wiped them away.

"That's why humans shouldn't get involved with vampire business." Elijah responded. She could pick out the double meaning behind his words. Allison just looked at him, he had an unreadable expression on his face that she couldn't figure out. She wasn't sure if Elijah was giving her a warning or not.

Allison didn't get a chance to ask because she was interrupted by Klaus coming back in to the room saying, "Rebekah should be here with Davina shortly." Hearing this, Marcel joined them back in the main room.

A couple of minutes later, Rebekah walked through the entrance of the compound in to the main room. She was carrying Davina, who looked like she was sleeping.

Marcel mad his way over to them as soon as Rebekah walked in, "How is she?" He asked.

"She's devastated and exhausted, where's her room?" Rebekah responded.

"No I got her." Marcel insisted. Rebekah hesitated, but ultimately handed Davina to Marcel. He turned and took her up towards Davina's room. Allison followed Marcel to make sure Davina was okay. She felt for her friend, and wanted to be there for her. Allison vaguely noticed Elijah follow her after Marcel as well.

When they reached Davina's room, Marcel laid her down on her bed. "She'll never trust me again." He mused towards Elijah and Allison.

"Perhaps, but you must never surrender the fight to reclaim that trust." Elijah spoke from behind her. Elijah then turned looking around the room. His gaze landed on Davina's drawings, "These drawings, what are they?"

"She drew those the whole time she was in the attic. She'd say they're different from what she draws when she senses magic." Marcel explained. "These ones, she called them evil." Elijah furrowed his eyes brows at this.

"We should let her get some rest." Allison suggested. Marcel and Elijah agreed and moved to exit the room. Before Elijah left though, he grabbed Davina's drawings. Allison shot him a confused look but he ignored it.

Allison then made her way to her room, it had been a rather long day and all she really wanted to do was relax. She then remembered the rather large jet bath tub that she had. Allison walked past her room and went down to the kitchen where Klaus kept his wine collection. Feeling a bit childish, and still upset with him for killing Timothy, she grabbed what looked like the oldest and most expensive bottle of wine and a wine glass. Allison made her way back upstairs, and in to the bathroom, she didn't bother closing the door to the ensuite as she started filling the bath tub, adding some vanilla scented bubble bath.

She poured herself a glass of wine and took a couple of sips. As the sweet taste of the red wine touched her tongue, she almost felt guilty for taking the bottle. She had never tasted a wine so good in her life. She determined that she would never be able to drink boxed wine again. She then filled up the glass some more and set it next to the filling bath tub.

She then started stripping off her clothes until she was naked. After throwing her hair in to a messy bun on top of her head, Allison eased herself in to the hot water of her bath. She nearly moaned at the feeling of the hot water and she instantly relaxed. Allison leaned her head back and grabbed her glass of wine sipping at it, savoring the taste.

She thought back to her conversation with Elijah in the study earlier that day. We almost kissed. A smile came to her face at the thought. If it hadn't been for his phone, she would at least had known the feeling of his lips moving against hers. Her heart rate increased as she thought about kissing Elijah and just how much she wanted to make that happen. She hadn't felt this way about a guy in a long time, ever since high school, the first time she was in love. And she surely has never felt this way about a guy this soon, ever.

Allison thought about all she had learned over the past few weeks. Her whole perception of the world had changed now that she knew about the supernatural. Before she was aware, she thought the only real monsters in this world were the billionaires. Those who profit off of war, suffering, and destruction of the only planet we live on. Those who corrupt the world's governments so they can carry on with their unethical business practices all for selfish monetary gains.

Now she was aware of a whole new kind of monster and as much as it scared, her she knew there were worse things influencing the world that wouldn't hold a candle to the hundreds that vampires may have killed over their centuries. She thought about the power of the original family, the most powerful creatures in the world. If they really wanted to, they could create a new world. One where there was no poverty, no war, no suffering. Everyone could have what they needed, even vampires.

Allison was so caught up in her thoughts, that she didn't notice the faint knock on her door, or when it opened, until she heard a voice say her name. "Allison?" She recognized it as Elijah's voice. Instead of being nervous she simply felt relaxed and at ease. Most likely thanks to the wine she was drinking.

"Yes Elijah?" She said when she saw him approach the bathroom door.

"My apologies," He started upon noticing her in the bath. Granted, he couldn't see anything past the thick layer of bubbles that surrounded her in the large tub.

"Its okay, come in." Allison said, setting down her glass of wine and turning towards Elijah, making sure everything was covered by bubbles.

He stepped in to the bathroom and leaned against the counter across from the tub. He had taken off his jacket and tie and was left in a clean slightly un buttoned dress shirt. The sleeves were rolled up and the shirt was tucked in to his dress pants loosely. Allison shamelessly let her eyes run over him, he looked so handsome, so perfect. Elijah's eyes glanced around the bathroom and landed on the old wine bottle sitting next to one of the sinks.

"Ah, a Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1945, Klaus may not be too happy with you taking that particular bottle." Elijah commented, pulling up a corner of his mouth.

Allison rolled her eyes and took another sip of the wine. "Well, that's Klaus' issue, not mine." She smirked at him. "It's just wine anyway."

He smiled, flashing his teeth at the remark. "I believe this particular bottle was last auctioned in 1997 for just under one hundred and twenty thousand dollars."

Allison's eyes widened and she nearly chocked on the wine she was drinking. That could buy a house, or pay all 4 years of her college tuition, and here she was drinking away over a hundred thousand dollars. "Well, Klaus deserves it for killing that boy." Elijah chuckled at this. "So what's up?" Allison asked wondering why he came in to her room, not that she was complaining.

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay after today." Elijah responded.

"Yeah I'm okay, thank you. I'm getting used to all the violence and vampire stuff." Allison assured him with a small smile.

"I am sorry that Klaus tried to kill your friend." Elijah apologized for his brother for the second time that day.

Allison smiled at this and picked up her wine glass once again, causing the bubbles to inch down her body and exposing the top of her cleavage to the vampire standing before her. Elijah tried not to let his eyes fall from her face, but he couldn't help himself. She got even more beautiful to him by the minute. "You don't have to apologize for you brother, his actions aren't your fault. And you were the one that saved Davina's life, if you hadn't warned Marcel, he wouldn't have gotten a witch to protect her. So thank you for that."

"That girl did not deserve to die because of my brother's paranoia." Elijah explained. "I only wish I could have saved the boy as well." A guilty look crossed his face as he looked away from her, making Allison frown. HE shouldn't feel guilty; he couldn't have known that Klaus would drag another kid in to this.

"You didn't know; you couldn't have known that Tim would be dragged in to it." Allison tried to reassure him, she didn't want him feeling guilty for something that was out of his control.

"Never the less, it upset you and that is something I am sorry about." Allison's heartbeat spiked

"Well I will let you rest, you've had a rather long day." Elijah said turning to the door.

"Wait." Allison stopped him, not wanting him to leave just yet. He turned back and looked at her with a curious expression. "Can you grab me a towel?" She asked with a smile.

Elijah turned away from Allison towards the cupboard in the bathroom which held the towels. He grabbed one out and turned around, just as Allison was standing up. Elijah momentarily let his eyes run down her naked body. As she stood up, water and bubbles from her bath drifted down her body. Elijah quickly regained his composure and his eyes rested on her face. He didn't dare to let them wander anywhere else, choosing not to test his self control any more that night. He handed her the towel, which Allison slowly wrapped around her body while stepping out of the bath.

"Goodnight Allison." Elijah said turning towards the door.

"Goodnight Elijah." Allison responded as she watched him exit her room.

Allison was woken up by the smashing of glass. She rubbed her eyes and stretched, irritated at being woken up so suddenly. She was able to locate the noise to a couple of doors down from her, Davina's room. Allison dragged herself out of her bed. She was still in her pajama's, some shorts, a loose t shirt that hung off her shoulder and some fuzzy socks. She was walked out of her room and saw Klaus approaching Davina's bedroom door. She quickly made her way over to him and joined him in Davina's room.

"What's with all the racket." Klaus said barging in to her room. Davina was on the bed coughing. Allison quickly joined her on her bed and started rubbing her back as she continued coughing. She suddenly started to cough up dirt. Allison pulled her hair back and tried to comfort her. She was incredibly confused as to what was happening to Davina.

All of a sudden the room started to shake. It was like an earthquake. Allison looked to Marcel and Klaus who looked equally as confused as Allison was. The three of them then exited the room on to the balcony that overlooked the main room of the compound. The entire building was shaking, there were things falling off walls, chairs and other fixtures falling over.

"What the hell is going on?" Allison heard Rebekah's voice from below them.

"Davina." Klaus simply answered. He then looked at Allison and Marcel and said, "Come on." The three then made their way to Klaus's study. Elijah followed them in shortly after. Allison's cheeks flushed slightly as she remembered her bold move with Elijah the previous night.

"This is madness." Klaus said. "How can a 16-year-old girl shake the entire French quarter?"

"I've never seen her do anything like this." Marcel said.

"How did you control her before?" Klaus questioned.

"I never had to, but then again I never killed her boyfriend." Marcel pointed out, getting agitated about how the hybrid was handling the whole situation.

"Yes, yes, we've been over this already. The point is in her present state, she's useless as a tool against the witches." Klaus said.

"She isn't a tool Klaus. She's a kid and something is wrong with her." Allison said. She was mad that Klaus was talking about Davina like all she was was a power source.

"She has too much power that she can't control, that much we know." Elijah explained. "Why is it manifesting itself in such an aggressive manner?" Elijah then started walking towards the door.

"Where are you going?" His brother questioned.

"This is witch business, Let's ask a witch." Elijah clarified. He then walked out of the room leaving the three behind.

"Well, I'm going to change, be right back." Allison said skipping out of the room and down the hall. Allison threw on some jeans, an olive green sleeveless top and a black and white flannel shirt. She made her way back in to Klaus's study to see Klaus drinking whiskey at his bar, and Rebekah sitting on the couch. She briefly wondered where Marcel was, but just figured he went to check on Davina.

"Are you ever not drinking?" Allison asked Klaus, stepping through the threshold of the room.

"It takes a lot for vampires to get drunk love, I believe I do very well at pacing myself." Klaus said. Rebekah just rolled her eyes at their banter. "Want one love?" Klaus offered.

Allison nodded and took a seat next to him at the bar. He poured her a drink and she sipped at it. "You do know I have a name, right? And it's not love." Allison said annoyed.

"I know." Klaus said, he paused then said, "Love." Allison glared at him.

Elijah then made his way in with Sophie Deveroux behind him. He took a seat at the desk next to the bar and said, "So you have stolen the remains of the person Davina is drawing her power from. Do you care to explain this startling coincidence?"

"I can't, I didn't even know who Celeste was until…" Sophie started, but she was cut off by Davina's scream. The room suddenly started to shake.

"Was that Davina?" Sophie asked.

"Charming little habit she's developed." Klaus responded.

"And the earthquake I felt today?" Sophie asked again.

"Also Davina." Rebekah responded this time. "She has also take to vomiting dirt."

"We have a huge problem. I thought that we had more time, but the harvest needs to be completed. Now." Sophie said sounding worried.

"Said the desperate witch." Klaus mocked.

"I'm serious, that earthquake you felt, a preview of the disaster movie that's about to hit us." Sophie continued.

"Why should we believe you?" Elijah questioned.

"You know her story, for months now she's been holding all the power of the three girls sacrificed in harvest ritual. A force that was meant to flow through her and back in to the earth. One person was never meant to hold that much power. It's tearing her apart and it will take us down with it. As the power takes over, Davina will go through four stages that represent the elements. The first is earth, then comes wind, then water, and the final stage is fire. And since it's the last stage it will by far be the worst. That's why we need to complete the harvest." Sophie finished explaining.

The three siblings looked around at each other. Silently they determined that she was right, the sacrifice needed to happen. Allison couldn't handle how they were talking about killing Davina without even thinking about another option. She downed the rest of her drink, slammed it on the counter, and walked out of the room.

Allison made her way down to Davina's room to see her lying on her bed knocked out with an IV in her arm. They must have been sedating her to stop the earthquakes. She looked down at Davina, she looked so young, she didn't deserve any of this. Marcel soon joined her in the room, there were two vampires watching the door. He looked around the room. Neither of them needed to say anything.

All of a sudden, Marcel charged out of the room and jumped off the balcony. Allison followed him out of the room and heard him yell, "No way, you're not touching her!" He then landed on the ground and punched Klaus in the face. Klaus recoiled from the punch much more than when Allison punched him. Marcel made a move to go after him again, but Elijah held him back.

Allison rushed down the stairs and over to Marcel, Elijah and Klaus.

"All right, I'll let you have that one." Klaus said to Marcel.

"Marcel, no one wishes to see Davina come to harm less than I, but there simply is no scenario where we wait this out. She is going to die." Elijah said trying to reason with Marcel.

Marcel hit Elijah's arm off of him and said, "According to Sophie, the witch who screwed over everybody here."

"The harvest was working before it was stopped. Now, if a non believer like Sophie can come to have faith that those girls will be resurrected, then I too am a believer." Elijah continued.

Marcel then pushed past Elijah and walked up to Klaus, "I saved her from the harvest, and now you want me to just hand her over?"

"Don't think that I am happy about this. If the witches complete the harvest, not only do they regain their power, but we lose our weapon against them. The earthquake I could chalk up to hideous coincidence, but these winds, if Davina is not sacrificed, then everything that shook, and blew about in these winds will soon be drenched with water and consumed by fire." Klaus explained

"Oh now you care about the city?" Marcel exclaimed.

"We should, we built it." Elijah added.

"And we saw it burnt to the ground, twice. I will not let this be a third, do I make myself clear?" Klaus said.

Marcel paused but finally said, "Yeah." And with that he walked away from the group.

"Not a people person are you Niklaus?" Elijah asked his brother in a lighter manner.

"Nonsense I love people." Klaus responded smirking.

"There really isn't any other way Klaus?" Allison asked with tears in her eyes.

"No love I'm afraid not." Klaus resigned. He then turned to his brother and said, "Come Elijah, we have business to attend to."

They made their way to the front door. Allison saw Hayley walk over to Elijah and ask, "Hey do you have a minute?"

"On my way out." Elijah responded rather dismissively. Something that was out of the ordinary for him to do.

"Which one of us is the people person again?" Klaus said to his brother as they exited the compound.

Allison walked up to Hayley and asked, "What was that about?"

"He's mad at me." Hayley responded.

"Why?" Allison inquired.

"I made a deal with the witches to help my family, and I had to get information from Elijah's journals. He didn't like the consequences of that too much." Hayley explained.

"Well it doesn't seem like him to hold a grudge, just give him some time, I'm sure he'll come around." Allison said with a smile.

"Thanks." Hayley said appreciatively to Allison's words. "Would you want to help me with something?" She asked.

"Sure what is it?" Allison responded.

"I'm putting together some food for my family out in the bayou. I could use some help." Hayley said smiling.

"Of course! Lead the way." Allison said.

The two girls spent the next hour putting together food. Hayley thanked Allison for the help. Allison decided to head back to her room after. She needed time to herself, to process.

About an hour later she heard Elijah and Klaus in the hall outside her room. Allison opened her door and stepped in to the hall. Elijah and Klaus looked like they were ready to leave again, "Where are you going?" she asked their retreating forms. The brothers turned around and looked at her. Allison walked up to them. "What's happening?" Allison asked looking out a window to the rain. "Where's Davina?"

"We are going to fix this." Klaus said harshly.

"Wait I'm coming." Allison said.

"No." Elijah said before she could even take a step.

"What are you going to do?" Allison asked. When neither of them answered they said, "You're going to complete the harvest aren't you?" She took their silence as a yes. "You can't kill her, please Elijah."

"If it works, she will come back and everything will be okay." Elijah reassured her. Allison blinked and they were gone.

Allison was angry before her worry took over. She went down to the main room, which was empty for the first time in a while. Allison was alone in the house. She grabbed herself a bottle of whiskey and a glass and made herself comfortable at one of the tables. She waited and worried and cried and drank.

Allison didn't know how much time had passed, when suddenly the table next to her was thrown across the room. Allison's head whipped around and saw Marcel. He continued smashing chairs and anything else in sight.

"Marcel." Allison called softly. He threw the chair he had in his hand at the balcony breaking away the railing, then turned to her. The look that he had on his face, the pure un filtered grief that laid across his features brought tears back to Allison's eyes. "Please Marcel, tell me what happened." Allison said through a sob.

"She's gone A!" He yelled, making the tears cascade down Allison's face. "Gone!" He then took another table and threw it against a wall, making Allison cringe.

"That won't bring her back you know." Klaus's voice came from behind Allison.

"This is your fault." Marcel said pointing at Klaus. "I should have never let you anywhere near her."

"Marcel," Klaus tried to reason taking off his jacket and stepping towards him.

Marcel cut him off saying, "This city was fine before you came, we were fine. Davina was safe. She was in control, if you wouldn't have gotten her worked up, if you hadn't killed that boy."

"My condolences the girl is gone, but don't lose perspective, we still have our community, the vampires…" Klaus started but was again cut off.

"I don't care about the vampires! She is dead! Do you hear me?" Marcel yelled.

Klaus then rushed over to him, a couple of feet away from Allison. He grabbed Marcel by the shoulders and hugged him. "I'm sorry," Marcel cried in to him. The sight made more tears rush down Allison's face. "You may think I know nothing of your grief, but you are wrong." They then broke apart and Klaus looked Marcel in the eyes, "In the days after I fled this city, I thought you were dead. It was years before I could speak your name so keenly did I feel that loss. I'm sorry." Klaus finished. His eyes moved over to Allison and saw her trying to hold in her sobs, he held his arm out to her. She stepped towards the two men, and wrapped her arms around Marcel crying in to his jacket. She felt Klaus behind her, wrap his arms around Marcel as he continued to cry. "I'm sorry." He said again to the both of them. He then walked away from the two.

Eventually the two broke apart. "Let's get you to bed." Marcel said. There were tears covering his face and his eyes were bloodshot. Allison just nodded and let Marcel lead her up the stairs. They entered her room and Allison sat down on the bed.

"What happened? Why didn't she come back?" Allison asked.

Marcel didn't say anything he just looked at her, and sped out of the room. Allison sighed and got ready for bed. She shed a few more tears and eventually cried herself to sleep.
