[-First Hit?!-]
Karasuma-sensei ended P.E. right as the bell rang. A red-haired figure appeared above the steps, casually strolling down with a drink in one hand and the other in his pocket. "Huh! So that's the infamous Koro-sensei? Whoa, he really does look like an octopus," the juvenile observed. Koro-sensei happily wriggled his limbs and greeted, "Akabane Karma... is it? I'd heard your suspension was up today. But you shouldn't be tardy on your first day back," he sternly reprimanded, face turning a pale purple with a darker 'X'.
The class watched silently, observing the new student and comparing him to the rumors.
Karma stiffly laughed, stating that it's hard to get back into the swing of things and invited Koro-sensei to call him by his first name. "Nice to meet you, Teach!"
He extended his hand for a traditional handshake, while Koro-sensei amiably replied, "Likewise. Let's make this a fun year," and extended a limb to reciprocate the handshake. Karma gripped the tentacle-like limb and squeezed, turning it into a yellow goop.
Shocked, the recipient of the questionable handshake perspired, while Karma tossed his strawberry-flavored drink up in the air. Darting towards the humanoid octopus, Karma jabbed at him with another Anti-Koro-sensei rubber knife, modified to fit his hand snugly. Koro-sensei jumped back using his Mach 20 speed. The delinquent started talking, either intimidating or back-talking the speedy octopus while the rest of the class was stunned.
'He's the first― the first one to hurt Koro-sensei!' Was the collective thought that ran through the students' heads. Gray and Natsu gritted their teeth in unison. They rushed towards Karma. Holding them back, Lucy looked at Koro-sensei's reaction.
His face was a dark red, beady eyes narrowing, droplets of sweat generating, nerves popping up, and his smile seemed more menacing.
Kayano asked in the background, "Nagisa, what kind of person is this Karma?" Everyone eavesdropped, eager to hear more about this new student that achieved hurting their teacher on his first day when they couldn't. Class-E all waited on Nagisa's reply. "Well... We were in the same class for our first and second years, but then his continued violent behavior earned him an expulsion, and those students end up in here in the E-Class, too. But... here he just might be a star student," Nagisa thoughtfully narrowed his eyes. Kayano asked, "What do you mean?"
The intimidating red-haired student proficiently swung a rubber knife in various, skillful maneuvers and walked away, with every eye trained on him. "When it comes to deadly weapons and foul play, Karma's got us all beat," came Nagisa's daunting answer.
Karma's hair shaded his face as he ominously thought, 'Don't run away, Koro-sensei... I'll show you what it means to be killed.'
[Later in the School Day]
All of Class-E's students were inside the old building, diligently doing their assigned class work.
A soft 'plop' repeated over and over again.
"What's Koro-sensei been doing all this time?"
A student whispered. A conversation ensued, debating on what was wrong with their target.
Finally, Natsu, predictably, blew up. "I can't take this anymore! I need something to do!" A sigh came from the blond transferee. "Natsu, we have been doing something. We are taking a quiz, mind you. Now finish yours, and actually put effort into it, and you can go run around until everyone's quizzes are finished."
"I bet I could finish this faster than you Gray!" Natsu pumped his fists in the air. "You wanna go, Flame-Brain!?" Gray challenged. "Let's do this!" they exclaimed in unison.
Getting up from her seat, Lucy approached the two. With her face shaded, she banged the two's heads together.
"Ow! Lucy, what was that for?" Natsu whined. Eyelid twitching, Lucy's reply was strained. "THIS is a QUIZ. You will NOT rush through. You will NOT make this a competition. Unless it's who has the highest score of course. But. You. Do. Not. Rush."
"Ok," Natsu quietly grumbled with his face buried in his scarf. Gray was too terrified to respond.
After that commotion died down, Terasaka spoke up. "Hey, Karma, you sure about this? That monster is pissed." The rest of Terasaka's group attempted to intimidate Karma, using the consequences as a threat. Karma just smiled. Never acknowledging, never looking, never responding.
After their spiel, Karma returned the ill-will.
"You'd be pissed, too, Terasaka, if someone started to kill you," he calmly tilted his head. "Not like when a certain someone screwed up and wet himself."
Terasaka hit his desk with a fist and denied that he wet himself. "You cruisin' for a bruisin', pal?!"
A tick-mark appeared on Koro-sensei's face. Pointing a 'finger' he declared, "You there! No loud noises during a test!" A couple of other statements were ignored while the octopus who wore peculiar clothing continued his scolding. Karma apologized, "Sorry, Koro-sensei. I've already finished. So I'll just sit here quietly and eat my gelato."
Bringing out a pink gelato, from who knows where, Karma started eating it during class. Continuing his tirade, Koro-sensei pointed his 'finger' once again at Karma and stated, "Not during class, you won't!"
Just then, he noticed the gelato itself. "Th-That's the gelato I brought back from Italy yesterday!" All of the class thought, 'It's yours?' Natsu's eyes were trained on the gelato, tensed and ready to spring up and jump for it.
"Karma's trying to rile up Koro-sensei, isn't he?" Lucy whispered to Kayano. "Probably," Kayano surveyed the room, watching for anyone who reacted to their conversation. Then, Koro-sensei's absurd statement was said out loud.
"I took pains to fly through the coldest stratosphere to keep that from melting, too!"
Jaws dropped from the shock, while Karma replied with some back-talk. "Huh... so, whaddya gonna do about it?" He continued to eat the gelato, with Natsu salivating in how good it looked. The confrontation continued, until Koro-sensei's bottom limb exploded.
"Anti-me BBs!"
There was silence in the room, until Karma stepped out the door with an intimidating parting.
That day ended, on an unnerving note.
