Okay, I finally took this Off Hold updated! Dedicated to MagicDolphin (On Wattpad), because she is always telling me how much she likes this book, asking me to update and helping me get over writer's block. So thank you for that!

This chapter isn't very long (Or very good) but it's an update so that's something! Enjoy!

Ella's P.O.V.

I had a feeling that Kali had heard me talking to Annabeth. She was always acting oddly around me and it was a little odd. I think Maddie noticed something was up as well.

I needed to do something. And fast.

"Hi guys," I said walking into my dorm, after school one day.

"Hey Ella," Maddie said. Kali didn't say anything, which didn't really surprise me. I think I would have been more surprised if she did say something.

"What are you doing?" I sat on my bed and put my bag beside me. My bag fell forward, off the bed and onto my foot.

"We're just doing homework," Maddie said. "Want to work this us?"

My bag fell forward, off the bed and onto my foot. It weighed quite a bit, with all my stuff in it, but I barely noticed. Without bothering to pick it up I said, "Sure. What are you guys working on right now?"

"We're just working on math right now."

"Okay," I said. I picked my bag up off my foot and got out my math binder and text book. All my binders, textbooks and notebooks had a sting with some beads attached to it. Every subject had a different amount of beads, so I could figure what stuff I was grabbing. It was really helpful. All I had to do was remember how many beads were for each subject.

I sat on the ground with them. I didn't know why Maddie were suddenly being so nice to me, but I didn't worry about it. Maybe she just wanted to be friends with me.

We had just finished all our homework, when there was a knock on the door.

"One second!" Kali called out.

"I'll get it," I said. I stood up and started walking in the direction of the door, but kept tripping over our books and binders. Since I wasn't wearing shoes, it really hurt my feet. I tripped over someone's shoes and fell forward. I put my hands in front of me to brace the fall. Pain shot up my arms as I landed. I was also really close the wall, so I ended up hitting my head too.

I didn't reply. I didn't want to tell her was that my arms hurt like hell and my head was swimming.

"Maybe I should get the door," Maddie said.

"Yeah good idea," I whispered. I rolled over onto my back, and groaned in pain as my head hit the ground.

I heard the door open and Maddie say in surprise, "Um, hello."I wished I could see what was going on, but that's one of the disadvantages of being blind. I couldn't see anything.

Maddie's P.O.V.

"Hello," the man said. I he was one of the teachers. "This isn't the reason for my visit, but is everything okay? I heard a crash, while I was waiting here."

"Uh, I'm actually not sure," I said looking back at Ella, who was lying on her back. "Ella, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Ella said, her voice sounding strained. She looked like she was hurt.

I looked back at the man, "Yeah, I don't think she's okay."

"I said I was fine," Ella said her voice still sounding strained. She pushed herself up into a sitting position, but I could tell it hurt her to put weight on her hands. When she was in a sitting position, she leaned against the wall with a sigh, but I didn't miss her flinching when her head touched the wall. I never realized how much it could hurt to trip and fall.

"You don't seem okay," I said, a little confused. Why wouldn't she just admit she wasn't okay?

"Trust me, I've been through a lot worse," she said.

"Like what?" Kali asked. I jumped a little; had forgotten she was there.

"Car crash, mom dying, going blind."

"Those do sound like pretty terrible memories," Kali said frowning.

"What's sad is that they all happened at once."

"Okay, maybe we should stop talking about Ella's terrible memories," I said. I turned back to the man, who was still staring in the doorway. He had a thoughtful look on his face, as he watched us- no, studied us. "Um, not to be rude, but was there a reason you came?"

"Oh yes," he said. "You're first years correct?"

We all nodded.

"Do you know what the Covert Operations class is?"
