Fitz began to lean down to kiss her and she quickly stopped him. She placed her hand in front of his face, "Mr. Grant, you're drunk." she turned away and walked out the kitchen.

"Livvie..."

"Mr. Grant..."

"Liv, I-I-I" he stuttered, to drunk to know what to say.

"Mr. Grant, you should get some rest." she said quietly. "I'll check on Karen and Gerry, see you in the morning. She walked up the stairs trying to ignore the feeling in her gut that was telling her to go back to him. She checked on both of the children then walked to her room. As soon as she opened the door she saw Fitz, who was sitting on the edge of bed, stand abruptly. "Mr. Grant..."

"Fitz, call me Fitz. I think we're pass the formalities, don't you think?" she shook her head at him.

"Mr. Grant, you should really go." she wasn't afraid and she didn't know why. Why was she okay with this? Why is she not demanding that he goes. Her mind was racing a thousand miles an hour and she didn't know what was going to happen next. She didn't know what she wanted to happen.

"Let me take you to dinner tomorrow, my mom will watch the kids and we'll have a great time. I promise to be a perfect gentlemen."

"That's crossing the line, it'd be inappropriate."

'Well, let's be inappropriate." she said with his signature smirk. "Please Liv?"

"Don't call me that." she mumbled. "Olivia, my name is Olivia."

"I'm sorry, I jus-"

"Lunch tomorrow. Karen is going to Great Wolf Lodge with Molly from playgroup in the morning so I'll have an open afternoon. If you're up for it."

"Lunch would be wonderful. I'll be here to pick you up around noon. Goodnight Li-Olivia."

"Goodnight Fitz.

The next morning was different for the them. The atmosphere was different. The flirty smiles hadn't gone unnoticed by Gerry and Karen. The two made breakfast and Karen went on and on about how excited she was to go to the water park. Gerry had told her about all the different things there, making her even more excited. Fitz was reading the paper and drinking coffee, glancing at Olivia every few seconds.

"Alright Gerry, let's get going we have a long day ahead of us." Fitz stated. Gerry put his dishes into the sink and grabbed his back pack and ran to the garage. Fitz kissed Karen on top of the head and said goodbye then smiled at Olivia. "See you later Ms. Pope."

"Goodbye Mr. Grant" she retaliated. Olivia cleaned up the kitchen and got Karen ready for her day. She dropped Karen off at Molly's house and talked to her parents for a while. Olivia headed back to the house to prepare for her lunch date but decided to first call Abby and let her know what was going on.

"Olivia, I hope that dinner party was amazing because you missed a wonderful night out on the town. We had so much fun! Seriously, you should have been there." Abby began as soon as Olivia called.

"I did have a good night. Pretty uneventful, except my boss got drunk and asked me out!"

"Wait, WHAT! Hottie Senator Grant? Asked you out?" she exclaimed.

"Well Geez Abby, don't put it that way."

"I'm sorry it's just that he's what 33, a single father of two and A SENATOR!"

"He was drunk last night after dinner and he asked me out."

"Hold on!" Abby stopped her. "Tell me this from the beginning." So she did. She told Abby about his brother's accusation to the almost kiss. By the time they finished talking Olivia only had an hour to get ready. She quickly showered and washed her hair, leaving it in it's natural state. She put some curling cream in and fluffed it out. She went straight to the closet and pulled out dark jeans, a grey blouse and black boots. She applied some light makeup- a little mascara, some lipstick, and a bit of concealer. She wet downstairs to grab her coat just as Fitz walked into the house.

"Olivia, you look beautiful." he stated. She blushed and walked towards him.

"Thank you."

"Are you ready?" He asked with a huge smile. She nodded and followed him out the door. "So, we're going to a small French restaurant downtown. You like French food right?"

"I love it." The car ride to the restaurant was full of talk about Karen and Gerry. Something that both made them happy. As they pulled up towards the restaurant, Fitz took off his seat belt. Once the car was stopped he turned the car off he ran to Olivia's side and opened her door. The two walked into the restaurant hand in hand.

"Two for Grant" Fitz told the maitre d. She walked them to their table in a secluded part of the restaurant. They overlooked the menu before quickly ordering.

"Excuse me" Olivia said and headed to the ladies room. As she was washing her hands she was greeted by someone she hoped to never see in public

"Hello Olivia. I see that Karen won't be in playgroup today. Are you done playing nanny and moved on to take Mellie's place."

"Amanda nice to see you too." She simply ignored her and walked towards her table but unfortunately Amanda followed her. As soon as Fitz saw Olivia he smiled and stood up but his demeanor changed once he saw Amanda.

"Hello Amanda, how are you."

"How am I? How is Mellie, your wife, going to be once she finds out about this. You're screwing your barely legal 'nanny'. And having her play mommy to those kids. Fitzgerald, how could you!?" She stated and then swiftly walked away

"Mr. Grant I think we should go."

"Olivia, no. Mellie has nothing to do with this family. But Livvie, you do. You're like a-a tornado! You came in here and turned everything upside down." He noticed the confused look on her face. "N-not in a bad way! We were all in bad moods and I honestly was borderline depressed and then you came to that interview and at first I liked it because I finally had help but this past week Liv, one week, and I've fallen for you, hard. And I honestly never thought that this could happen. I loved Mellie but was never in love with her. And Liv I am falling in love with you."

At this point she was in tears. She had never had anyone make such a confession to her. He walked to her side of the table and kneeled down...and wiped her tears. "Fitz, I think I'm falling for you too. And it's scary, I'm scared. I haven't known you that long."

"We can take it slow. Dates, movies, anything you want. And the kids already love you so its perfect. We're perfect."

"You're a senator."

"I know, we're going to work it all out Livvie. I promise." He went back to his seat just as the food arrived.

"Fitz, thank you." They finished off their meal and left the restaurant. Fitz drove Olivia straight to Gerry's school to pick him up then the three of them went home.

"When is Karen coming home?" Gerry asked.

"In about three hours. She didn't have a nap so she'll probably be very cranky." Olivia told him. They all walked into the house Gerry went upstairs to change as Olivia prepared a snack for him. He slowly crept down the steps and into the kitchen.

"Liv..." he started to get her attention. "Can you, me, and dad watch a movie?" he asked quietly. "Please."

"Oh Gerry, of course. Go into the family room pick out a movie and I'll get your dad and some snacks." Gerry took off running while Olivia started making popcorn. She walked to Fitz's office and knocked. He silently walked in and smiled as he was reading some paperwork. "Fitz, Gerry would like us to accompany him in watching a movie."

"Which movie?"

"I don't know yet, he went to pick one out. But that doesn't matter." He put down his papers and got up from his desk and followed Olivia into the kitchen. She put the popcorn in a bowl and got three juice boxes and had Fitz grab oreos. They walked into the family room where Gerry was sitting in his bean bag chair smiling. "So Mr. Gerry Grant, what movie did you pick?"

"BOXTROLLS!" he screamed. Olivia and Fitz sat the snacks on the coffee table and played the movie. Halfway through the movie Olivia found herself cuddled up to Fitz then asleep. He grabbed the afghan from behind the couch and placed it over them. After the movie Fitz decided to let Gerry watch another movie. His choice this time was Mr. Peabody and Sherman. After a while Fitz opened the Dominos app on his phone and ordered pizza for dinner. Ten minutes later the door bell rang which surprisingly didn't wake Olivia. He got up and made his way to the front door and could hear the giggles from Karen. He opened the door and Karen ran right into his legs.

"DADDY!" she screamed.

"Hi Princess. How was your day?" he asked as he picked her up and took her bag from Moll's mom.

"Awesoooome!" Fitz talked to Molly's mom about the day for a couple minutes then she left. Fitz told Karen she had to be quiet since Olivia was asleep and they were watching movies. They made their way to the family room and as soon as he put Karen in her bean bag chair the door bell rang for their pizza.

He answered the door and as soon as it opened his whole life came crashing down.

"What are you doing here?" It wasn't the pizza man.

"What the hell are you doing here Mellie?!"
