No Ones POV – Somewhere else
A woman with middle length, straight black hair is watching a computer screen on which was displayed an image of an underground base. In the base seven people are asleep. A man's voice comes over a speaker.
"We have visual on the team, they are currently asleep, V95 is in the bed nearest the door and Chief Agent Knight and Agent London are sharing the same bed, furthest from the door. Wait... Chief Agent Knight is on the floor screaming, Agent London is trying to console her."
"Brilliant," The woman said laughing. "Her nightmares are back, that will make it easier to get back V95. Installing you inside the stationary department at M.I.9. was the best idea I have ever had. Keep me posted on anything that happens inside that base."
Zoe's POV – M. base
I was jolted awake by Stella screaming. I hated to hear her scream; she is like the mother I never had. Since the events at the nuclear reactor I have been staying with her at one of the M.I.9. safe houses. We have become quite close, she has even confided in me some of her feelings for Frank, I know for a fact she has told no one else and does not like to let them show. She never lets her feelings affect her work and would die before telling anyone else. I jumped out of bed and ran to her side; Frank was cradling her in his arms, trying to calm her down. I could tell she had been crying as there were glistening tear tracks down her face, and on her half of the pillow. She was trying to push away from Frank, she would want to be alone, and maybe I could help her. The others where all trying to talk to her to get her to stop shaking but I knew the only way to stop it. She need to do the one thing that allowed her to forget everything else, she need to work. I slowly pulled her away from Frank and strangely met no resistance. Gently coaxing Stella into the base I turned off the light in the bedroom, hopefully forcing the others back to bed so they would not follow me. I need to do this alone. I sat Stella down at the circular table and fired up the computers. I could not technically access anything on the databases, but my days at KORPS had taught me how to hack into anything. Although I had not let M.I.9 see how good my hacking skills where I was probably better than Tom. I hoped that by the morning Stella would forget it was me that hacked into the system and believe it was Tom. I did not really want to upstage Tom from his job on the team.
I hacked into Stella's private account and printed off some of the papers she was meant to be finishing or signing or just reading. I love that her back ground was shooting stars however I have a feeling they were programmed there by Frank, he was the one that first discovered the meaning of her name. The printer slowly came to life and began printing out the papers. As I waited for them to print I walked back over to Stella, she was still crying but beginning to compose herself.
"What are you doing? The base is in complete lock down, we cannot access anything." She was back to her normal self with only her eyes to betray her real emotion.
"Not completely, I hacked into your account to get you something to do, If you want I can try and find the notes of the meeting about us?" I said guiltily passed her the first papers out of the printer. It was a document on a future mission to Boldovia. In response to my question she nodded and more tears began to fall down her face.
"But… how?... Oh it doesn't matter. Thank-you but I have a really bad feeling that you are going to be shut down. Stark will have ended up chairing it and he hates the M. project and all because they get better results than his adults teams. After the vote has been passed I will have no say in what happens... I'd rather find out from the Head of M.I.9. but thank-you." There was a hint of a smile on her face as she mentioned Stark's abysmal teams. She hugged me and then sat back down at the table to work. I waited for a while until a commanding voice came from the table. "Thank-you Zoe but please get back to bed. I do not want you grumpy into morning just because I cannot control the amount of sleep I get. Please go." As she finished there was a pleading note I her voice, I knew she wanted to be alone. I obeyed her instructions not wanting her to have to get into an argument when she was this tried.
Keri's POV
When Zoe left the room with Stella she turned the lights out but that did not make us go to sleep, well Frank tried to but failed miserably With Frank in bed the rest of us sat in a circle on the floor and tried to think. How could we help Stella, none of us liked the idea that she suffered from horrible nightmares and was unable to sleep. We all thought of her as an extra mother, especially Zoe. At that moment Zoe walked back in with a little smile on her face. Immediately I knew she had done something clever and that Stella was ok. I think it was the clone connection thing that allowed me a small insight into her brain. All she said before getting into her bed was,
"She's fine, go back to sleep. I'll tell you in the morning." As I got back into bed something bothered me. I felt as if I was being watch, as if my old captors could see me…
