From the horizon of an unnamed Japanese city smoke and fire could be seen bellowing from the streets within. Creatures and alien-looking soldiers marched through the streets as frightened by-standers fled to the safest places they could find. Unfortunately even that proved to be difficult with the multitude of dimensional rifts appearing overhead. A large vessel sailed through the clouds off the city's edge. It was a giant ship, looking like it was meant more for the sea than the sky. It was a striking shade of crimson red, sets of cannons lining its sides and a set of wings on its backside with large turbine engines protruding from behind. Its front was adorned with a large, silver, saber-like blade. A crest proudly occupied the ship's main sail; A key with two swords crossed behind it. A man in a formal-looking red coat observed out through a telescope from the crow's nest, monitoring the current attack on the city below.
"Tch...That's just great."
A small mechanical parrot clanked its way up to the man, setting down on the railing beside him. "Is it as bad as the sensors showed?" It squawked in a shrill tone.
"Worse. Looks like our downtime's over for now. Oi bird, go gather the others. We're heading down there to deal with things personally."
The bird huffed. "My name's not bird, it's Navi!...Fine. We'll be waiting on the main deck!"
He nodded and went back to his telescope. "Aliens and monsters everywhere...Gormin soldiers, too. Is Zangyack really stupid enough to try invading Earth again?"
After a while he headed back down into the ship, entering its main deck to join the rest of his crew. They were currently distracted watching the invasion unfold on the vessel's main display screen. At the computer's terminal was a somewhat timid-looking man with curly blonde hair and wearing an eccentric green coat. Beside him was a woman wearing a yellow jacket, fingers and neck adorned with jewelry. There was another woman next to her dressed in very frilly yet royal-looking coat, colored in a subtle shade of pink. Two more guys stood behind them, one wearing a blue jacket with his jet-black hair done in a casual ponytail and the other wearing silver clothing, a checkered scarf wrapped around his neck. The five of them watched on with worry and concern as the city continued to be battered by the attacking army.
"Why are we just standing around here when people could be dying down there?! We have to go help them!" The man in silver cried out as he attempted to exit the ship, only to be stopped by blue.
"Gai...How long do you think you'd last out there by yourself?" His expression was stern, but fair. Gai winced. "B-But we can't just-"
"Joe-san has a point." The pink woman spoke. "We shouldn't engage them without some sort of plan first." The one in yellow snickered as she leaned on green's shoulder, who was nervously fiddled with the computer controls. "Ahim's right. We could use some kinda battle plan. So how about it, Doc? Think of any strategies yet?" She poked him teasingly.
"M-Me?! You know I'm not a strategist, Luka! I-I just work on the tech! On-the-spot planning is more Marvelous' field of expertise!"
"Well then, looks like I walked in at the right time." The red man interjected as he strode over to his crew members. "Gai's not wrong. If we don't act fast, it won't matter how much we try to fix things."
"Then it's your call, Marvelous. How do we deal with this?" Joe presented his Captain the floor as Marvelous sat in his commander's chair, his coat sleeves draping over the sides of its arms as he kept his eyes trained on the screen. After a moment, he gave a confident grin.
"We take things as they come. We're gonna go in together guns blazing and start wiping them out."
"What?!" Doc yelped in surprise. "I-I know we work best as a team, but don't you think a plan like that is a bit reckless?!" Marvelous stood up to pat the doctor on the shoulder. "Sometimes a reckless plan is a sound one. Besides, we don't have time to formulate some elaborate scheme. We'll just have to go with the flow."
Luka shrugged. "Sounds fine to me." She looked at Ahim and Doc. "Just so long as you two don't mind tradin' your swords for Joe's gun and mine. If we're charging in, we may as well do so at our max potential."
Ahim and Doc looked at each other before nodding in agreement as Marvelous stood up from his chair. "Now that's settled, let's get going."
Meanwhile in the city's center, the familiar form of Apollo Geist watched over the destruction before him while conversing with someone. He was big and demonic-looking with spikes and chains protruding from his body, yet he still looked somewhat regal in appearance. He had white fur circling around his neck as if it were part of a coat and his head made it seem like he was wearing a captain's hat. His eyes glowed a menacing red.
"I trust that using Uni-Shocker's technology to revive you won't prove to be a waste, will it?" Geist asked the creature, who scoffed in return.
"Pff, please. You said that you required my power to get rid of any opposition, right?" He kicked up his leg onto the edge of the rooftop the two were standing on. "If it's Marvey-chan and his idiot lackies, then consider it done. You get your opposition snuffed and I settle a personal score."
Geist nodded. "I shall trust you, Basco. If you succeed, there may be a place for you in Uni-Shocker's grand scheme. Power, riches, anything you desire." While Basco couldn't exactly show it, he smirked at the thought of having the position and power he had always desired since his days traveling the stars with Marvelous and their mentor, AkaRed.
"If you fail us, however..." Geist interrupted the monster's thoughts. "...then expect to find yourself just as dead as you were when we retrieved you. Do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal, Geisty-chan. Crystal." Basco took hold of his saber and started out on his mission. "Consider the Gokaigers nothing more than a distant memory."
As crowds ran screaming from the various paths of destruction and groups of monsters and creatures stalking the streaks, Marvelous and his crew cut straight through the center. While the captain and his original team members remained mostly unfazed by the fleeing civilians they were walking against, Gai couldn't help but grimace. Being the only Earthling on the team, seeing his people so fearful only made him that much more eager to destroy any enemy in his way. Marvelous patted his shoulder.
"Oi, keep a clear head. I'm not gonna let you fight if your mind is clouded with dark thoughts."
"Ngh...S-Sorry, Marvelous-san...It's just...It's like Zangyack's invasion all over again..."
"Haven't seen any captain or commander-type figure anywhere yet. We can wipe these guys out no problem, so all you have to do is focus and have our backs like we'll have yours...Got it?"
"...Right. I'm behind you all the way, Marvelous-san!"
"That's more like it." Marvelous smirked before coming to a stop, crossing his arms as his comrades lined up on his sides. The various grunts before them were too busy destroying building walls and cars to notice them before Luka decided to break the silence.
"HEY, DUMBASSES!"
The grunts suddenly stopped and all turned their attention to the pirates before them. Joe got a good scan across them before picking out a few gormin lackies and Sugormin troop lieutenants among the crowd. "Gormin and Sugormin? So Zangyack does have a hand in this?"
"Either that or they're only a part of it..." Doc interjected, also noting the presence of various other enemy types. "All these other...things...don't look like any Zangyack forces I've ever seen..."
"Perhaps they've gathered other forces under their wing. Whatever the reasoning, we must put an end to their rampage." Ahim spoke sternly. Luka smiled and cracked her knuckles. "C'mon, Marvelous, give the word!"
"Aye. Let's clean house!" Marvelous and the others pulled out bulky phone-like devices, flipped them open and revealed key slots on the undersides of the top halves while Gai opened up a compartment on the front of his. They pulled out six small person-shaped figurines, all colored similarly to their outfits.
"GOKAI CHANGE!"
With a flick of the wrist the figurines folded up into keys that the crew inserted and twisted into the phone's key holes, deploying the team's crest. Gai inserted his figurine into his phone, the device scanning it instantly.
"GOOOKAIGER!"
Marvelous and the others were engulfed in light as their clothing was replaced by form-fitting uniforms, all very pirate-inspired and matching each member's respective colors. Their helmets materialized around their heads, each one with a different visor design. One by one they announced themselves.
"GOKAI RED!"
"GOKAI BLUE!"
"GOKAI YELLOW!"
"GOKAI GREEN!"
"GOKAI PINK!"
"GOOOKAAAI...SILVER!"
"Kaizoku Sentai!" Red crossed his arms as his comrades posed beside him and lent their voices to his cry. "GOKAIGER!"
The hordes of grunts and monsters started focusing even more of their attention to the band of pirates as they slowly began to advance on their position. Gokai Red took hold of his saber and casually slung it over his shoulder before motioning to his teammates. "We've got a lot to do, so lets make this more showy than usual!"
"Luka-san! Joe-san!" Pink and Green tossed their sabers over to Yellow and Blue who, in turn, tossed back their flintlock pistol-styled guns before charging forward. Blue put his swordsmen skills to the test as he slashed and swiped at anyone foolish enough to try and stand in his way while Yellow cockily slipped and twisted around her attackers before delivering sharp cuts to their exposed sides and backs. Green and Pink used their dual pistols to blast away any pursuers as they dived and dodged through the battlefield. Silver took hold of his trident and leapt high up before tossing it like a javelin into the crowd of monsters, piercing and destroying a few before landing, taking his weapon once more and jabbing it at any surrounding enemies. Red was the most composed of his crew when it came to battle, slowly trekking forward as he delivered a swift slash or shot to the face of any creature that tried to take him head-on. The band of pirates fought their way through the crowds as best they could, doing anything to put a dent into the giant horde.
"This is taking too long...Oi! We need to switch things up!" Red pressed his belt buckle, flipping the face around to reveal a different-looking key. He held the key up to his crew mates. "Let's go with this!"
The other rangers nodded and copied their leader's motions as they each took hold of their new keys. "GOKAI CHANGE!" Once again, they inserted these keys into their phones and turned.
"GOOO-ONGER!"
"GOOO-ON WINGS!"
The team's uniforms suddenly and drastically changed. Each ranger now sporting a very racing-inspired design on their suits. Gokai Pink now wore a primarily black outfit while Silver's new outfit was two-toned, his left side colored in a sleek silver while his right dawned a shining shade of gold. The headlights on the team's new helmets lit up brightly as the wheels on the sides, or turbines in Silver's case, spun fiercely as they hunched down low. In a sudden burst of speed, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink suddenly sped forward while Silver took to the skies holding his two daggers with jets in the hilts. The team dashed through the wall of opposition slashing and shooting whoever was unfortunate enough to get in their way. The powers of one of their many Sentai predecessors, the Go-Ongers, granted the band of pirates the speed and swiftness necessary for tackling such a large number or foes, but with how many kept popping up to replace their fallen comrades it was only a matter of time before even speed became a useless tactic. The team quickly reverted back to their original forms, heaving and out of breath.
"Marvelous-san...There's no way we can do this! There's too many of them!" Gai supported himself with his trident, not wanting to let any fatigue set in.
"For once I'm on Gai's side..." Luka interjected. "We keep making gaps and they just keep fillin' them back up...!"
"Oi, I thought you guys were tougher than this! You're not gonna let a little snag in the plan stop you in your tracks, are you?" Though Marvelous was trying to keep his crew motivated, under his helmet he actually looked somewhat concerned. "They've got a point though...No matter how many we take out, their forces just keep filling the holes." He clutched his gokai saber tightly. "How the hell are we gonna figure this out..."
"HENSHIN!"
The sudden voice caught the captain's attention as he quickly turned around to see where it came from. Behind him was a young man dressed in baggy, somewhat ragged clothing in various colors. Judging by how dingy they looked, it made it apparent the man traveled around a lot on foot. Around his waist was a mechanical belt, the buckle tilted to the left. It held three medals in its compartments: one red, one yellow and one green. In his right hand was a scanning device that he quickly ran across his belt. Various colored circles began to rotate around him vertically and horizontally as the belt sung out.
"Taka! Tora! Batta! Ta-To-Ba! TaToBa Ta-To-Ba!"
After being engulfed in light, the man was now completely covered up in a sleek black outfit. The lines of visible color were distributed over three sections of his body: Red around his head along with wing-shaped decoration on the sides of his helmet, yellow for his arms and torso with large, retracted claws mounted on his wrists and green trimmings on his legs. On his chest was a large emblem depicting a red hawk, yellow tiger and green grasshopper all stacked on one another. His emerald green eyes glowed as he leapt into the fray alongside Gokai Red.
"Marvelous-san! I hope you don't mind me butting in, but when I saw the smoke coming from the city I couldn't just stand by." He said as he delivered a quick punch to an attacking Shocker grunt.
"OOO. Didn't expect a kamen rider to be near-by, though I can't say I'm surprised to see you." It had been a while since the Gokaiger had fought along side a Kamen Rider, especially OOO. The last time they met, the Super Sentai and Riders were trying to destroy each other.
"Eheh. I'm not the type of person to turn my back on those in danger..." OOO scanned the battlefield, noticing some mummy-like creatures shuffling around in the mayhem. "Trash Yummies...Someone's using cell medals..."
"Huh. So whoever's behind this thought it'd be a good idea to throw in a little bit of everything it looks like." Marvelous wound up and punched a trash yummy right in it's circular void of a face. "That just makes this whole thing even more annoying..."
"But with OOO-san here, it at least gives us some much-needed help." Ahim added as she and the other pirates joined back into the fight. To keep up with his fellow heroes, OOO took hold of his own personal weapon. It was a small saber detailed in blues and silvers with a compartment for holding up to three medals; the Medajalibur. Forming an idea, the rider quickly leapt in front of Marvelous and his team while loading three cell medals into his sword. As he landed he immediately ran the scanning device from his belt across the sword.
"TRIPLE SCANNING CHARGE!"
"SEIYAAA!" With a shout of his signature battle cry, OOO sliced straight across the group before him. The attack was so powerful that it almost seemed as if the buildings themselves had been sliced clean in half before reforming, followed by the explosions of every grunt caught in the slash. The ever-present army of monsters was still lurking around, but OOO was at least able to open up a large area and buy himself and the Gokaigers some time to think of a new plan.
"Woooahohohohoh OOO-SAN! THAT WAS SO COOL!" Gai couldn't help but gush. Being the biggest fan of superheroes, mostly Super Sentai, seeing someone he admired do something so large was almost too much to handle. Doc quickly pried Gai away from their friend. "Jeez Gai, now's not the time for this kind of stuff!"
"We've got a chance to think of a counter-attack, but we've got to make it quick." Joe pointed out as the space OOO created started to slowly reconstrict around the group. " They're starting to reform..."
"Marvelous-san, do you still have those keys I gave you?" OOO turned to Marvelous, who knowingly tapped his belt and retrieved a red key. It was shaped like OOO, but detailed differently. The other rangers reacted accordingly.
"Ha! The Rider made a good call." Luka laughed while retrieving her own yellow-detailed OOO key. "Marvelous, let's go for it."
"New plan then." Marvelous stuck the key into his mobirate. "We're backing OOO up, so give it everything you've got!" The others nodded back before once again shouting out. "GOKAI CHANGE!"
"KAAAMEN RIDER: OOO!"
Once again the pirates changed, this time each one taking the form of OOO himself, but with very obvious differences. Gai's form was silver and grey with the features of some of the strongest mammals in the animal kingdom, Ahim's was clad in purple with the parts of different dinosaurs, Doc was clad in green insect detailing, Joe's form was based on some of the swiftest of sea animals, all shaded in different blues, Luka's was yellow and feline in nature complete with sharp claws deployed from her wrists and finally Marvelous was decked out in a brilliant metallic red, his form modeled after some of the most elegant and fearsome birds. Each crew member had taken on one of OOO's many medal combos.
Marvelous patted OOO on the shoulder. "Your call. Just don't go making us look weak, got it?"
"Uh, right! Then let's make this...showy? If you guys don't mind." With his final word OOO rushed back into the fray as the Gokaigers flanked his sides, Marvelous and Ahim taking to the skies with the powerful wings of the phoenix and pterodactyl respectively while Luka sped forward with the agility of a cheetah. As the team continued their battle, they failed to notice a looming threat keeping watch over them from not too far away.
"Outside help? Tch...How far have you fallen, Marvey-chan?" Basco scoffed to himself. He was itching to put an end to his arch rival once and for all, but opted to stand watch a little bit longer. He wanted to assess the situation, study his opponents before making his grand entrance. "This OOO guy...He looks like he'll pose a bit of a problem. I'll have to kill him first to even things out..." The monster picked up his saber and walked to the edge of the building's roof. "Showtime."
"Sorry, but the show's been cancelled."
"Eh? Who said that?" Before Basco could leap down, a voice interrupted his train of thought. When he turned around he was met by two men, one of them looking a bit worse for wear than the other.
"Mngh...Ugh...T-Tsukasa..." Yuusuke was bent over, clutching his stomach and looking a bit green. "Can I just stay in this world? I-I don't think my stomach can handle direct dimension hop-ulp...hopping..."
"You'll get used to it." Tsukasa bluntly responded. "But for now could you do me a favor and get your act together? We've got business to attend to."
As the two bickered, Basco was left wondering just who they where and where they came from. "Just who do you think you humans are? Do you have a death wish? Because if so, I'll gladly help you both out."
Tsukasa chuckled. "'Who do you think you are?'...Heh. It's funny. I think I've lost track of how many time I've been asked that."
"What are you blabbing about?" Instead of answering the alien pirate's question, Tsukasa opted for a more direct approach. He removed a card from his booker and held it up to the monster as his belt materialized around his waist. Basco's composure faltered. "What the-?! You're one of those riders, too?!"
"...Henshin." With a flick of his wrist Tsukasa inserted the card into his belt and closed it up.
"Kamen Ride: Decade!"
Decade's emerald eyes gleamed through the vertical slots on his helmet as he took hold of the Ride Booker's sword form, running his fingers along the tip of the blade. He cocked his head over to Yuusuke, who was still recovering. "When you're not feeling like spilling your guts all over the floor, come lend me a hand."
Yuusuke shot him a dirty look. "S-Shut up and go."
Without needing to be told twice, Decade quickly charged at Basco with his sword up and ready to swing. Basco quickly countered with his saber as sparks flew between their clashing blades. The two immediately began trading strong and fierce blows.
"Decade, huh? I think I've heard Geisty-chan mention your name before. Didn't know you were a rider, though." Basco commented as he threw a punch at Decade's head, the latter quickly maneuvering out of the way. "I bet you know Marvey-chan too, yeah? Seems he needs a lot of scapegoats to cover his ass nowadays."
Decade scoffed. "Marvelous talks big, but even I know he can take you out with little to no effort if he had to." He punctuated his retort with a quick slash to Basco's side, injuring the space pirate.
"AGH!...Tch, you little..." Basco jumped back to avoid another attack and to buy himself some time to think. Meanwhile Decade prepared his next attack, throwing a new card into his belt.
"Kamen Ride: Hibiki!"
The rider's entire being was surrounded by reverberations and ripples in the air before being quickly engulfed in purple flames. When he emerged, Decade now looked somewhat monstrous himself. His suit had turned a dark shade of metallic indigo with red and silver details and small horns on his head, making him look more like a demon than a rider. Reaching behind him, Decade retrieved a pair of sacred-looking drumsticks. The tips quickly ignited into bright red flames as he swung both sticks at Basco. From the swing erupted a large ball of fire that was sent barreling towards his enemy as he swiftly followed after it, reaching for his belt buckle.
Basco growled as he knocked the fireball away, now wielding his signature weapon; A large brass and silver trumpet-like instrument. Just as he brought it up to his mouth, Decade quickly shoved the face of his belt buckle into the pirate's chest. Basco flinched, finding himself stuck in place as the rider picked up his drumsticks and began to beat rhythmically against the buckle. Ripples of sound began to resonate from Basco's chest as Decade kept drumming. Try as he might, he found himself paralyzed in place by the pure sound vibrations. Basco struggled to move his arm closer with each beat of the drum until after much effort he finally had the trumpet's mouth piece in range.
"Haaaa!" Just as Decade wound up for the final blow, Basco blew a few notes out from his trumpet. That combined with the vibrations created from Decade's drumming caused a large explosion of sound strong enough to knock the two straight off of the building and down into the battle below. Yuusuke shielded himself from the force, watching as his friend was blown down to the streets. "TSUKASA!"
Down below, OOO and the Gokaigers were still trying to push the waves of monsters out of the city with little progress actually made. Suddenly the sound of an explosion from the high-rise buildings caught their attention as Marvelous spotted two figures tumbling down from the fallout. "What the-?!" Quickly, he harnessed the flight ability of the red TaJaDoru OOO combo and soared up to try and catch them both. As he approached the purple demon-looking figure first, he noticed the white belt buckle on its waist.
"That belt...It's gotta be...OI! DECADE!" Marvelous extended his hand as Decade took hold of it firmly, nodding at his comrade. Marvelous changed his course towards the other figure. "Can't forget your friend over there, can we?"
"Don't worry about him! He's no friend of ours. That fall will do him some good."
"Eh?" Deciding not to question it further, Marvelous returned to the ground to regroup with the others. Decade took the moment to revert back to his original form.
"Thanks for the save, but could you do me one more favor? A friend of mine is still up on that building. Mind flapping your wings up there and getting him?"
Marvelous scoffed. "At least you asked nicely." He once again took to the skies as the other pirates and OOO gathered around the newly-arrived rider.
"Kamen Rider Decade now, too? It can't be a good sign with so many heroes showing up..." Doc rubbed his helmet. The situation was getting more dire by the minute. Decade tapped his chest reassuringly.
"Don't worry. It's not as bad as you probably think."
Doc sighed. "Hah...Good."
"It's way worse."
"...Guuuhuuuuh..." Doc flopped onto Luka's shoulder, causing the yellow ranger to quickly elbow him in the stomach. "Not so close! And man up a bit! Whatever's goin' on, we can take no problem."
"Normally I'd agree, but with the trouble these grunts are giving us..." Joe interjected.
"Senpai. Do you know just what's going on here?" OOO asked his senior.
"Way more than any of you are probably prepared to deal with...Heh...'Senpai', huh?" While Decade mused over being addressed so formally, Marvelous returned with Yuusuke in tow, the latter having now taken the time to transform into his Kuuga form. "Sorry we're late to the party! Had to get dressed up for the occasion first."
"Kuuga filled me in on everything." Marvelous informed the others. "This whole attack is part of something bigger. Way bigger than anything Zangyack could pull off."
Decade nodded. "Multiple parallel worlds are being invaded as we speak. And the invaders only have one thing in mind; Multiversal conquest."
"S-So what do we do first then?!" Gai asked frantically. Just as he did, huge pieces of rubble and debris came flying from a nearby crater. The sound of a trumpet filled the air as slowly the menacing figure of Basco rose up from the wreckage, his eyes glowing a deadly crimson.
"Heh...Hehehehehahahahaha!...I was told all I had to do was eliminate Marvey-chan and his crew of weaklings...but who would have guessed that so many other so-called heroes would butt in on the scene to ruin my fun..."
The rangers and riders all lined up, preparing for the biggest battle they'd partake in all day. The hordes of enemies began to rally behind Basco.
"No worries...If that's the case...I'll just have to cut loose and kill every last one of you!"
